whats your definition of a Psi Vampire?

i think a psi vampire was somebody that use the energy force from other.

If you are really interested in what a psi or psy vampire is, perhaps try a forum search here at VR. A google search will also produce many articles and websites discussing what is and is not a psy vampire.

A Psychic Vampire is a person, Who by reason of a condition of their spirit, needs to obtain vital energy from outside sources. They are unable to generate their own energy, and often times don't have the best capacity to store the energy they do have.

As an off angle I didn’t consider my self vamp till lately, I did drain energy for magical use. I did get a little crazy from time to time to eat my steaks so raw a vet could save them off my plate…. Lol
Visitations from succubus took me of my trail and latest developments in a clan I finally got into has shown I was like many not following my true path…
Got to thank VR and all those clear headed people defining what is real and what is made up. As I knew from searching for a vampire it is far from a nice thing in real folklaw and historical documentations like high gate vampire in London… I spent years working on trying to rising that one… or finding out how it formed…

Although I am not one myself, a psy vamp is someone who feeds off of another person's energy instead of blood.

I know what a psi vampire is I wanted to know if others did as well and if not i would enlighten them.

As Stabb stated in your previous thread a good forum topic is not about asking a yes or no question such as "do you know what a psi vampire is?"

Seeing how this site is a vampire themed one, practically all the individuals who regularly participate in the forums have at least a basic understand of sang/psy.

a psi vamp feeds off of the energy of another person, versus blood which the sanguine vampire uses for feeding.

There have been previous threads on this topic that might be worth searching. But in general, a person that gains energy from other. Some don't even know they are. They are the people that after you are around them you just feel worn out.

A general term for the life-energy which is found within and throughout all living things. Also called prana, chi, pranic energy, psychic energy, etc. The life-force that surrounds and is contained in living things. This is the life-force that energy and psychic vampires feed upon. thank you for explaining this. Now I understand that this may be the reason that every time I work with a certain individual, I feel so drained. I think he may not realize it, but he may be a psyvamp. How do you tell someone something like that? Or is it best to let him discover it on his own?

It would be best to let them find out on their own. If you were to go up to said person and actually tell them they would probably think your off your rocker. These things are better if discovered on their own.

My definition? I doubt that anyone will really want to hear it, especially if they believe themselves to be one, but here we go. This is based on what I have read long ago, and is what I believe, for I think that people have taken something that they think sounded good and turned it into more than it is.
A psychic 'vampire' is someone who psychicly drains someone. A person may feel worn down when they are around them, feel lethargic, and the psychic 'vampire' might seem to achieve things that the people around them hope to achieve for themselves.
A psyhic 'vampire' usually has no idea that they do it. A surprising number of people have this draining effect on others, but it does not make them a vampire, that is merely the term used.
The psychic 'vampire' does not require this energy from other people to survive, they do not need to do it, they do not mean to do it, it just happens.

To add to what you are saying cherry, all people can be considered a Psy. vamp. We all feed off each other's energy no matter what. Some might not realize that they do it, it just happens.

I think the definition of a psy. vamp. should be: one who realizes that they feed off another's energy and uses that knowledge to adapt themselves to increasing the amount of energy that is taken.

That is an interesting perspective Raagiosol. We do gain energy from being with others, and sometimes we feel drained when around them.

Just as everyone else has said, a psy vamp is someone who feeds off the energy of others. It is not necessarily intentional. The people whose energy is taken by the psy vamp are then left tired and lethargic.
I have had that effect on people ... does that make me a psy vamp? I don't know about that .... but something to think about, lol.

My definition of a psi vamp is a modern human being who has the ability to "feed" off another human's energy. This energy can be beneficial or harmful, depending on the individual it is coming from. Psi vamps can also give their energies to others.

For me this is an ability that I am still learning to harness so that it doesn't happen on it's own accord. If anyone has any suggestions on how I can accomplish this, please message me privately. I greatly appreciate it! :)

Everybody had the right idea, you all have it coverd pretty well.....Its one who feeds off others energy, or the reverse, can give energy to another.

It's not like there are multiple definitions. Psi, or Psychic, Vampires feed off of energy in all its forms.

A psy-vamp is someone who feeds off of other people's moods, energy, thoughts, and anything beyond the physical matter. I think any regular person can and is a psy vamp to some degree.

I saw a television show which pretty much explaind how these vampires sucked energy away from people and that person who got there energy sucked away would feel drained for but they didn't know why. And I learned that there's a way to find out who has this ability as a Psi Vampire by taking a picture of there hand with this old camera and they would have this weird color around there hand. I don't know it was interesting to watch. But I guess thats what a psi Vampire is.

Psi vamp - is one who has a psychological dependency for pranic energy. If one were to discontinue to feed, they would have signs of withdrawal, but chances of death would be non-existant. I personally feel that psy-vamps are strictly those who were turned by a psi-vamp. Hence their period of awakening could be at any point in life when the psi-vamp had turned them.

It's subjective. My definition of a psi vamp is one that merely parallels a human and doesn't deserve any other name than human- for we all need energy to survive... or else solitary confinement in prison wouldn't be a punishment.

taking of energy can be done in different ways and times or also given to a person - nice for the two way of that. Give and take.
