"magic"

As I started posting and reading the forum I saw that there are a lot of thread where people are discussing about magic, spells, necromancy and so on... I personally think that these things should be discussed privately, or in a small group.

Imagine that a child sees something and tries it , but he doesn't understand the mechanism.. what would happen?

Also I am very astonished because every single one is claiming that he does magic. It is not possible... To do so .. you need to have a gift... or to spend lots of years in studies. There are erroneous discussions about things that are so precise and ....

Anyways.. I want to know what is you position about this. Are you agree with me or not. And why?

ok.. wow.
is what I say to the child finding this and trying something. aside from (Magick not being possible) b/c u need many years and so on.

and secondly how do you know the people on here would claim to practice these things really don't? u aren't there everyone of them and not every single person claims it. many do but others just believe in the crafts we speak of and this site is sensored enough, if a child did go and do something it would be his own fault for atemping it alone w/ out knowing what could happen.

not our fault and this site has specific age requirements I do believe I think it's 16 and up not 5 and up....
so if their here 14- and down it would be their own fault for lieing about thier age they will learn the hard way again not the fault of Vr's set up, parents should pay more attention to their children or just let it be.... I vote to let it be but thats just me.

The example with the child was just an example. and even a 16 years old can do stupid things with something that he doesn't understand... another example will be: me flying a space ship... LOL

I don't think that these persons that just believe in it are ok just with the beliefe. I think everyone is attracted to this things... I am too.. but also I know that this practices require alot of precision and respect to what you are doing and why... that's why i think that theese thing sould be disscused carefully ...

I agree, magic discussion's should be out-lawed from main forums - It really is a pain in the ass to see people reply on those thread's claiming that there half god and whatnot.

As far as i'm concerned, until magic is Proven to exist, it is merely a legend that it can be performed......Especialy by 13 year olds >.>

If a child can do magic then they have a magical gift that they were born with.

And a lot of people come to this site because they have a magical ability & it gives them someone to talk to about it.

What the inexperianced need to realize when it comes to the arts, or differant forms of magik...Is when the individual wishes to create, cast, draw down or what have you...I agree it does take years of experience, only for the fact that certain incantations do take precise lialect and or wording for said incantation to work. As well as proper lighting of candles, knowing the differance between the differant cycles of the moon and or when to cast according to which ever speel, ritual, incatation or whathaveyou they are working with.

Therefore, it is less dangerous for the individual no matter what age they are at the time of the casting, age is not the issue. Understanding for the concepts of certian spells is. If the individual is inexperianced, I am sure that no major problems or errors may occur, since the casting more than likely will not work if those certain conditions are not met.

In conclusion, I do not see anyone casting a necromantic spell to make the dead rise anytime soon, or a love spell to make another individual kill out of shear desire or heartbreak just because they read the spell in a book somewhere without understanding how to phrase a passage, or light a candle in the correct manner.

As I have said, it does take years of practice for understanding, but anyone at any age may incorrectly cast no matter how young or old.

KaddaveR,

One of the tasks of the Dominars on this site is to ensure that content is not harmful to minors, but by the same token, this is a forum on Gothic, occult and supernatural topics (and science fiction), which means that these subjects are valid for discussion.

It then becomes a matter for the conscience of the individual to decide whether what they are posting is appropriate, or accurate.

Consider that you yourself said that most of what you read doesn't seem believable, and often is incorrect. Balance this out with the desire for some members to engage in a little of the fantastic and you get something fairly harmless.

VR's age limit is 13 years and older... not 16 years of age.

And a child has access to this information already. The moment you let them go over to a friend's house, let them go into a bookstore, or even let them online. They have access to it all.

At least if they come to VR and see it, they, assuming their 13 years old, can participate in the discussion, ask questions, and also research it if their interested in one day doing something of the similar.

I know my parents and teachers taught me how to research something properly before believing in it or making a decision on it. I plan on teaching my daughter the same.

Other then that children and teenagers have to make their own mistakes. Magick is nothing to be messed with. I've looked into it but haven't practiced it. I still haven't made a decision on it and I've been studying it and talking to people about it for a little over seven years!

I don't believe everyone on this site who says they do magick, does. I think they find some of their spells online instead of ever writing their own. I think they're arrogant for the most part and just wanting to be accepted on a site where a lot of people claim to do magick or study it.

I think the one thing that 13 year olds realise when they hit this site is....don't believe everything you read.

There is not much that is difficult to find out with tools such as google, not to mention books etc.

I don't do magic myself, but have read one or two interesting things about it since I've been here.

A sure way to interest a young person is by saying..."don't do that it's dangerous" etc

No .. we are not living in a Harry Potter movie...where all people are learning to do magic...

I personally think, and that's why I started this thread, that magic is or should remain something serious, precise, and respected. and when I see someone who hasn't a clue, talking about it, i get mad LOL, because people are shallow.

Well it can't be expanded on and improved unless people talk wit one another. It does help out beginners or people who study the arts to see the different spells or to even hear the discussion. It helps out those who are debating about one day practicing because often in discussions I've seen people talk about some of the precautions.

If it wasn't for people talking, some people would have been in an endless loop of not knowing what they did wrong or how it could be improved upon.

I think it should be discussed on here because it allows everyone on the site to see. Yes, there are people who might do some stupid things without knowing all there is to about casting a spell properly... but seeing the discussions might be a little more helpful then just reading it on a website somewhere that some unexperienced person put up online. I think some of the people on here do at least study magick... I know some of them practice it. I would rather ask a question on here and get a few good replies among all the BS, then never be able to voice my opinion or only be able to bring up no-name sites on the subject.

KaddaveR,

Meaning no offense to anyone here, VR is hardly a 'normal' forum/social networking site.

If someone is determined to find certain information, the internet is a big resource, with many other forums which take it much more seriously than it is here.

Again, I would have to say that it is down to the individual to decide what they want to share. They may be part of a group which has rules limiting what they are allowed to say, or the opposite may be true and they have a goal of 'enlightenment'.

There are far more real and present dangers in 'normal' society for us to watch out for, than to focus too greatly on whether magic is real and if it should be talked about.

The topic of magic isn't like Fight Club, as the many hundreds of books about it available on Amazon can attest to. It's been a fundamental of human existence since we have been able to ask questions about our own reality. Science has caused some of those questions to be answered, placing scientists as the new shaman to the human tribe.

In regards to your main idea concerning this subject as per the thread you have opened, I would say this about many things society practices...Such as religion, which in my point of view is a credible example when it comes to practicing what could perhaps in an odd zionist sort of way...Dangerous to its followers if taught by the wrong leader.

Again, a niave individual would take these things for granted no matter who they were discussing, or learning with or from. As well as which books they were the most intrigued with due to either the title or subject matter therein.

I would think the main concept of what we are looking for is the term...Must have slipped my mind. If you or any other member would like to finish this post, feel free...As I am quite tired and just got off graveyard shift.

KaddaveR....I don't even consider it "magic". That's just a fancy word for having the ability to do something that your spiritual self made change to the physical. Call it a gift if you want, if others consider it a gift...that's ok too. I remember being hot about such things in the past myself on here, and it might seem certain people are just trying to seem more interesting or fit in , or even trying to get attention but what really matters is that we shouldn't judge people and assume others don't have some type of experience. I personally don't believe you have to have a gift to do certain things. Sometimes things are triggered from an experience or an accident. I don't believe you have to be born with it either. The mind has many doors that some of us have opened or have YET to open. If we were all raised by a spiritual village then would not the village believe to have the skills or knowledge to do the same things by practice? I don't know but in my mind...a "master" doesn't single out an individual and call them "different" but rather...work with that person, spot their attributes and strengths and work with it to better that persons abilities. etc etc. "Magic"....is part of us all. I think it's just in different levels but if all had the right teachers, or if they even WANT to learn...they very well could.

I believe these forums are a learning experience. Many 16 year olds, may not be into magick at all, but more into the whole vampire of it all.

I went to the library today and seen many books on Satanism. I have NOTHING against anyone who practices it. For we all have our beliefs. One thing about the forum...those who question magick are answered in the highest and best ways. If they wish to learn more then they are most likely to feel free to message the person with a question.

Kids can buy books at a bookstore pretaining to information. Here at least people are able to give their views, that may help one to understand much better.

~Tigerlilith~ Thats about what I was looking for. In a sense, it tends to deal with a sort of "higher self" aspect, regarding the sacred geometries of the spiritual self at work in the physical as well as conjuncted with the ethereal. The metaphysical qualities of both intertwined would be the defined qualities of magik, and therefore would have to be from an experienced individual in order to manifeset their creations. After all, magik is the manifestation or creation using universal energies is it not? Very good point, as well as post.

I dont consider it magic either that's why I put it in bracketts... but many other consider it magic... as you said... there are certain people who tend to look interesting when talking about it...

And I do believe that you don't need to have a gift... A gift I understand as the posibility of a person to understand some things that usually are hard to understand.. that's why some people simply know and feel mnyany things.. without learning.. and others need help in order to understand...

I do not believe that everyone on here who claims to practice magic actually does. They may know some things about it and believe in it, but I just think it's a little unlikely that they all know how to use it.
I do believe that it should be talked about and discussed openly in the forum. People need help and guidance when it comes to certain subjects and even though I do not know anything about magic I am assuming it's very difficult to work with unless you've studied it for years. So having a place where you can turn to when you need advice doesn't hurt.
If an inexperienced person, or a child sees some of the threads on here and decides to try something with out fully understanding how to do it, I doubt any thing will go wrong other than the spell simply not working. I think it takes years of experience to be able to properly work a spell, but then again I could be wrong.

For starters this site is not 16 and up, It is 13 and up. So there are alot of younger members on here. Somethings are meant to be discussed in the privacy of a message among members. The kids no days do try different things without thinking about it first. As adults it is our responsiblity to consider what we talk about and try to keep it as real as possible without giving the thought to the children of this site that some of things we discuss are ok. But it also up to the parents of that child to try to see that they are not doing things that will harm themselves.

Everyone can do stupid things, but teenagers set records at this because of their inexperience.

I agree with you on some points, some of those who claim they can do this or that might just say it to feel important.

But whether you call it magic, spiritual effects or something else, it is something that is very real.

It is a matter on how much you believe in it, and if you believe it enough then it will work.

As for discussing spells, I do not see a problem with it since it is harmless for most.

What about the feeding and blooddrinking threads? those are the ones you should be concerned about instead.

This is a vampire site but also the occult and people know what they are signing up for.

Stopping such a topic here is not going to stop a subject being found. No matter what it is. Realisically you can find a hell of alot more through other sites on the internet. Spells, magic, rituals, potions etc. Whether they work or not. They will be found by whomever searches through the internet.

The craft has been practiced in my family for hundreds of years. And I am sorry, but you do not have to have years of experience to use it. All it takes is faith that will work. What people don't understand about magic is that it isn't black, nor white. But actually gray. Example.... You cast a spell to make you wealthy, two weeks later your mother dies and leaves you 150.000 dollars. Magic is very tricky. And it isn't to be messed with by anyone who doesn't understand how it works completely. The universal law is that everything comes back around full circle eventually. Whatever you send out will come back knocking on your door eventually.

Now as for children reading these threads. I certainly hope not. This web site has an age requirement and it isn't VR's fault if kids lie and there parents don't pay attention. Myspace is actually responsible for thousands of murders, rapes, kidnappings, beatings, and suicides each year.
I personally have never heard of anything like this caused by VR. This site may be of a more darker perspective tham most, but it is much more private and a million times safer as well.

I mean is this a vampire site or a wiccan site? Is there a differentation?

Apparently not. Or perhaps it is too much work.

Hey, administrator - try writing a PhD thesis then get back to me on busy...I'd love to see that response.

there is something that the wiccan call magick and has to do with the nature and its power to heal, and make things happen, there is also the power of the mind and word... we can order ...
of course if someone is thinking of magic like Harry Potter´s well, of course that won´t happen... you know?
but the magick of herbs healing diseases, or your own hands and energy making others to heal, that exists...
and also you have to train yourself to perform magick like that

Yes, the purpose of this site is to document every fact, fiction, and lore about vampires. But if you look, there are many different types of people on this site. This site is mainly for vampires. But it is also for anything pertaining to the dark, mysterious, and unnatural. And the reason people like me, who are interested in Vampirism, but are more interested in the craft, have no where else to go. =(

I guess it would depend on your company and the situation, but as for talking about it on this site, I think it is normal. Everyone is here to learn and they all have questions, maybe more serious forms of magic are better off left to private messaging but just asking a few questions about it's history and things in the forum isn't that bad.

So do you declare, full qualifications to perform what you consider to be magic? The precision, etc. That you seem to place your self in an esoteric spotlight.

Please pull a rabbit out of a hat for me on youtube now?

Or Offer me your class information so I can learn your precision, and perfect tech. that you claim to be so privy too.

Then you get those that claim to be exclusive and cannot relate common known information to back their claims, with more then" I keep all that a secret" I would shun such people as a non commital snooper. a person without talent that seeks to be around those that may, only to pick up enough stock to be able to bluff knowledge in the presence of unlearned or people that are only trivially interests.

You need to read everyone's post. And there is a huge difference between being a magician, and practicing witchcraft.

And actually READ. magic (or as it is referred to now, "magick") dates back to biblical times. The bible speaks of practitioners of sorcery. But this is besides the point.

The question is, should people that practice magic keep there
practices secret. And if you talk to anyone that practices magic, they will tell you yes. And most books on the topic will tell you it is a bad omen to share this with everyone.

yes please do because it is very annoting watching people grand stand their astonishing claims.. by all means keep it out of the reach of us unenlightened peons.. that are unworthy of the gift.. I have no beef against those that practice craft.. this is about people that claim to practice.. as I also read, Make me appear to be off thread.. then spin my post.. well those that claim should feel free to exclude themselves from those that are unfit and unqualified as I am sure you claim to be.

Well what I am referring to is the spells they use. A lot of people that practice magic create there own. And those are to be kept secret. Why you ask? I don't know. it is supposedly a bad omen, and it can cause the spell to lose it's potency.

This is the Dark Network. This means anything of the Dark is welcome here and may be shared.

When one finds something of the like as Paganism, Satanism, Necromancy and wants to indulge in the magics contained, they are warned within the texts. Something guided them here to learn further. If they dabble ridiculously and get hurt, the rest of us should laugh. That goes for all ages.

I have no concern for stupid people. My honest opinion.

_To be honest, a lot of people claim to do magick, and yes, I understand that not everyone believes in it. To be honest, it's more of, what do you think magic really is? If your idea of magic is like that in Harry Potter, than of course you have reason to be skeptical about it. However, The thing that I think people who have that view really need to think about is, Magic comes from the heart. Just like everything, this planet is one of choice. In other words, if you chose to believe that your words will and can have an affect on someone in another room, another setting, and I do, then it will. But if you try some poppycock spell just for the hell of it, and you don't really believe that it will work, then it won't.

Asking for threads about magick to be taken out of a forum where it is allowed, is like asking for someone to make a completely valid law illegal. No...I don't think that things like these should be confined to tight knit conversations among a few groups of friends, because the whole purpose of this site is to find people that share akin ideas to your own and talk to them. How are you to do that if you don't put your own thoughts and ideas out there?
_

I'm in two minds. On one, were not here to babysit the contents of what children read, it's the parents decision & duty to do so!

On the other hand, some parents don't give a stuff & thankfully most people here take the courteousy of doing it for them...

This is a place to learn & bat around ideas. But we must be careful of what is said. A spell can be talked about but step by step instructions is not need. We can msg. each other if needed. Same goes for others threads. Basic info only, if it can cause harm.

I agree, there are some very young un experienced people on the site and with some things we discuss we may lead them to getting themselves in trouble. We should be observant of what details we give and think about the audiance in whole who will be reading our responces, we must be responcible in our actions.

People that want others to be devoted to their excepted idea or opinion of magic, really want others to be secret, they want to keep others from see other possible variations of craft, craft is practiced in secret, magic is the producion and "manifestation" of craft, magic creates what is to be interpeted by the viewer. If your circle performs for each other, then you are not learning craft you are showing magic.. to a small audience gathered to witness your performance. To wear robes around in public and declair ones self the Arcane Mystic then others are likely to request public scrutable proof.

So it seems that the ones that benefit from secret groups are those that would conrol the environment to increase the illusion that they know anything remotly related to the craft, It is also a practice of some"covens" to humiliate people in mock circles.. those that brag of what they do not know.. are usually the butt of such jokes.. to those that magic them, it is a very real spell, to the subject it is very humiliating.. so I agree in a metaphoric sense that magic is crafted, that illusions are "real" and that people will always interpit in favor of their imagination. If they limit themselves to such a sensational expectation, they are likely to be exploited.. before they are able to get beyond the astonishing hype.

Well I feel that if you actually go and study about magick and or supernatural things you will see that there are many many noted and PROVEN facts of many being true and can be done.

Kids today have the world at their finger tips so to me this sight is an excellente one for them to read, learn and ask questions of any and all nature that has to do with magick.

many people do practice it and I know I sure would not tell a person that VooDoo was fake or not real just because I had not ever seen it done or work. Which I have and it does work. there are many sides to magick and it is up to the individuals as to how much they want to learn to actually use or perform it.

Our forums are monitored very closely as well as to help keep any harm to come to anyone as well as the kids on here. ... just my opinion .

and for the record I am one of them people whom practice that you may or may not believe that can or does so.

I agree with you. I don't believe in magic. It's made up for the people that can't stand up for themselves against people so they show they are witches to people to scare them away. Scare tactics and ego to think they can will something to happen, simply because they wish it to.

We and the universe have mapped out our lives before we were even born, and what's to happen, is going to happen.

I am wiccan and it is a religion so yes I practice certain spells and magic , now whether one wants to believe it or not it their choice yet I do not claim to be a witch and that is one problem with people whom are not knowledgeable in the Crafts it does not always pertain to witchcraft, demonology, etc.. it is something that some just practice, with out harm to anyone..

Well, wow . There is no simple answer. As stated thisis a Dark Network and hmm this is a forum, so those that have questions can recieve answers and to find others that follow the same paths. As for the child issues, yes you did say it was an example and I will agree with what has already been said, we are not here to babysit and the age minimum is 13, but a 13 could very easy and google and find anything they want there. As for there not being others places to discuss such things, there are plenty of other places, example covenspace.com

But as Stabb stated, if the forums were thought to be threatening or harmful they would be deleted, isn't that why we have admins? I mean people are asking questions , because they are curious. I see no harm in that. I mean i havent seen anyone post a forum stating hey i need this spell, that would just be laughed upon, as no one is going to disclose something so private . That is just my opinion take it or leave it. Ya know what they say about opinions..........

Exactly zombie. That is kind of what I have been trying to say throughout this thread. And the point I was trying to make, is that the spells/rituals you perform should be kept secret. An old lady wont tell everyone a secret brownie recipe, kind of the same thing in a way. but as for spells being posted on VR
and children dabbling in them, they should know better. because many people in these threads state NOT to dabble with witchcraft in any way. It is like someone flying a plain, without any training. They would crash, same goes for the craft.

I feel that magic is something that isn't taken as seriously as it really should be. I myself do not practice it, but have read much about the subject. I do not believe everyone who says they have/or do practice magic. Not saying that every person is a liar just simply stating that I feel some people are ignorant, and they will say whatever they feel like. People who choose to disscuss this subject have that right to, I also feel that something as serious as magic in SOME cases really should be discussed in a private manner.

Okay first I kinda agree with the fact that alot of people say they do magick or cast spell that probably ain't....I have lots of books on witchcraft, voodoo, spells, etc... I have read stuff and said words and never had anything happen...also I have never witnessed someone else do something of that nature....Not saying it don't work or I don't believe but I have never seen proof....I don't think it's so easy as to just read what someone says here and off you go to work magick....

As for sensoring NO we all came here because we were interested in the same thing although VAMPIRES is the intended focal point, I say the age limit should be enough.

just because a person sais they practice magic, dosent mean they're claiming to be experts. some spells you get down right away, other practices take years. some of us here a natural borns. i have the natural born gifts of premonition, and empathy. i can also sense, and feel the human aura (that took awhile to learn). however, i'm far from being an expert. i still have alot to learn, as do many here. i mean this simply as constructive criticism, and am not trying to start an argument.

Also most of them if they are able to read and understand writting anough chances are they have an idea of it and we cant help that fact that they are going to try things i mean this world is not saint at all, Anything from music videos to movies to tv shows it all has bad things that kids should see,try or know but it happens all that can be done is the prently getting a filtter to sencor out this stuff if they should not whant their kids to see whats being talked about. Its all about responcabilitey and taking inative really so why should we have to change things when the parents in control of the kids has the ablitiey to stop it easly.

Or one may not be able to do it at all, though they know what to tell others to expect.. one danger is that a person is likely to be humiliated for claiming to be able to produce some astonishing material thing, effect something to do something, or effect someone to have something happen.. the real secrets are behind those tht mayhave actually performed those things that a person claims they know how to do, yet have no machanical knowledge of what makes such an effect appear to happen. I am reminded of the dangers of this when a person claiming to be a sourcer got beat by those he invited to witness mystical proof of his claims. they brought a party, and he was to be the entertainment.. when he failed to produce anything but excuses he was beat. He was told by his "instructor" that he was ready to do it, he even did the "spell" in the presence of the "instructor". What a sap..

Its funny that sorcerers, shamans, and occultists are viewed as the insane ones.

That to build a world view outside of constructed society and its views on the world is against the "sane" and "real" world as determined by social consensus.

That to be of the occult mind one must break down and set outside of normal modes of thinking, so to feel that discussions on things that are as normal to the individual as eating, talking, and breathing if those topics are summoning, conjurations, exorcism, evocation what have you. Are merely things which allow for conversation beyond the alienation which such studies tend to induce when one spends all their time in research mode and working ceremonies to make things manifest according to their desires. To be able to share them on a medium such as a forum, or community online or off. Is a nice reprieve from anything else.

As of late, there has been no occult revelation discussed in the forums here or anywhere that I have seen. It is all standard basics. There is no great discourse on the capacity of the ars of resurrections, or exorcisms, the proper mechanics on ceremonial magicks, and the sacred and infernal glyphs.

So everything being discussed openly in all and all purposes is a harmless conversation between people interested in the topic. They tend to produce more bad and incorrect views on the topics discussed but all and all they are harmless here, despite how annoying many can be.

Sane and mature people?? Well there goes most of the population lol!!

Why not talk about it? It's an excellent way for people to learn a few things...maybe what not to do type junk. Of course you will get peeps that pass off false information but if someone practices something without studying it first and just takes someone's word from here, then that's their little red wagon right?

I find magic somewhat interesting to read about...not that I plan on practicing any of it.

Imagine that all people are doing and practicing it.. that would be like none of them is doing and practicing it...or why magic is so interesting and fascinating and disscussed... because not all are able to do it... and that's tha magic of the magic...

I will give you an example... Religion... so many people believe in god... right? and when people are praying they are performing a magic ritual... and guess what... nobody sais nothing about it... can you go out on the street and perform another kind of ritual other than praying to god? I bet that will look very cool...

I think if your going to discuss magick then you should also give warnings about the perils of its use.

I also agree that you need to have a talent for it, a very strong belief system and many many years of study to perform it. Spells don't just happen because you mouth the words, it takes a lot of will and intention to bring about magick and even then it may not work!

So perhaps if we state warnings with the discussion it may steer younger minds down the right path. It is better for a group of people with a long history of study within the realm of magick to discuss it with the younger generations rather than block them out. They will experiment any way it would be better that they learn how to and do so with as much safety as possible.

There can be no harm in a discussion about magick or the belief systems entwined within them. Inquiry is how we learn as a society. I have only been here a short time, but I have only seen discussion of belief systems in general. I don't see anyone posting spells and incantations (that would be very irresponsible).

The example you used with the child can be used in any type of discussion. What if a child sat in on a discussion that a group of christian fanatics were having. Just think of the possible repercussions. (and they would not needs specific spells to follow through with their intent).

The fact of the matter is that a discussion is just that.

KaddaveR,

I disagree with you completely. Magic is something wonderful, something special. Something that the world needs to understand to not fear and avoid. Magic is the science of the future.

You say that a child might see something and try it, and then you say that one cannot do magic if they are not gifted with it or do not spend years studying it? That kind of cancels itself out, does it not?

Careful what you say about magic, for very little is really known about it or of it.

One thing is for sure, magic should become mainstream. Holding magic in cults alone is greedy and selfish.

I disagree with it.

This has turned from what should have been a delightful discussion on censorship, to some pitiful attempt to show the insecurities of individuals like the purveyor of this thread to show how his own misunderstandings propagate new forms of close mindedness and further diminish the standing of views.

Somethings need to be discussed with caution, but what is in these forums is fine. And in general discussion of it should be encouraged because its not understood. But yet to seek to limit the understandings of those who would form the wrong opnions is not the way to go about encouraging a proper dialog.

If you have issue with discussions of a spiritual, occult or otherwise arcane nature. Then it is your right to not respond. Make use of all your freedoms, and freely keep bigotry to ones self.

I'm sorry, but I will NOT go through all this mindless dribble. It would take me hours to read and understand each and every post here, and then all the other threads. I'm not a Dominar, I don't need to go through each post here.

I posted my opinion to your topic which asks for an opinion and that's it. Drop it.

I still very much doubt the existence of magic. And for all of the people, especialy the 13 year old's that pose as bad-ass wizzard's and witch's, I think you might have a slight psycological problem - No offence intended. You come across as having the need to control the enviroment around you and i would bet from that, you live a life you dont have much say over.
People that prefer to get off over the fantasy of a vampire instead of a regular human are considererd to have a psycological disorder - I take no offence to that, it seem's quite factful.

if they want to. Thats the thing about magick.

Its all encompassing to every child who would make their words cause things to their liking.

Or the one who reads the books and does ceremony or thinks things to creation.

Thats all magick. To try and limit it, is to try and limit the very creative spark which is limited through the actions of anyone in a position of power.

It matters not how much information you hold on the subject, nor how many forces are under your command. But why you use such information, how you command the forces. To try and hold something back from the world which will benefit them even on a superficial level for their questioning. Its all a matter of what you present to the world.

I don't see what being a Dominar has to do with going through every post. ;] People do it to ... oh, well, learn.

Indeed. Most people don't look beyond the cover of the book so to speak. ;] To find that mystery.

Kad,

I know exactly what your saying. Haha, took a bit. But yes.

the 5 minute witch, and other some such. Where people claim titles that are not due to them.

Witch, Wizard, Shaman, Etc.....

people who do not undergo the trials, undergo the real world practices and experiences which allow one to have titles of status like a wise man or woman, someone who is turned to when things go wrong.

Those people here, and other places who claim that being "wicca" gives them status because they follow a path set forth by the elder goddess......or what have you.

Those people need to remain silent, but if they cannot remain so by their own will, then they should have the presence of mind of being able to hold up to their freedom not to speak, and belittle those who put in the needed time and effort. For their speaking does diminish the standings of those who have come from places where the ignorant will never tread.

Though if they feel that the rules of better conduct do not apply to their works, and their speech then of course, their ignorance will show through and they will be known for the liars they are.

To be viewed as a pathological liar when I have never uttered a lie, to be viewed as a pretender when I have never lived anything but in that moment for the past many years. These are just some of the joys awaiting those who walk the path. Where critics, and lesser minds who do not seek out their own answers shout against the voice of the single soul who would speak to better.

We must be wise to always curtail our speeches when they would render us mute to the sonorous monstrosity of civilization. I am much more a fan of the forests and the desolate places where men and women do not go. There are far less of them to get in the way of progress.
