I moved this into the General forum, love.
My interest in vampires began in the 7th grade. While researching a book report on Vlad the Impaler, fell in love with Romanian lore, and I wanted to parallel real vampires vs. fictional. I realize Vlad was only a murderous dictator, but he was referred to as a vampire.
i lovee improving my self and the thought of immortality is just plain excillerating, on top of that my dad has a whole mess load of the classic Hammer Horror vampire films gotta love it
I have always loved the legend and lores of vampires throughout the years. It began as an obsession when I was very young, I read every book, watched every movie and eventually it evolved into this beautiful relization that this was what I was. I felt an affinity for it. It was a longing I had felt for a long time... to find out what I truly was, where exactly I belonged. It awakened me in a sense... I owe my identity to it. The romance and beauty enveloped me, and I thouht to myself this is how I see the world, and I felt compforted in that moment knowing that I wsn't alone. that there were other beautious creatures out there that felt the very same, I am glad now that I'm home.
i used to love bats then i was in love with halloween and bats + halloween = vampire also i had a goth/punk/vampira gf sooo...yea
Good `ol high school days..
i was 13 back then..
I just read Dracula..then wanted more..and more and more..
and here I am..
Much much more
=)
My interest was at a very, very, VERY early age-- Vampire Hunter D was on tv once, and I caught a glimpse of a mind-controlling-esque scene (haven't watched it in years), and I was about 9, then.
However, every time I was hurt I'd suck my finger till I was calm, or watch it trickle, fascinated.
Knowing here I am at 21 and still have that fascination and NOW know I am also a lineage psyvamp, it seemed almost natural.
It all stared with watching Nosferatu behind my granpas armchait when i was 10.....i was fixed and could not go away..then i wantet to know more and more.....
24 Years later and i still want more..
I never knew it was what I wanted until I discovered what we were....
I must have been 8, maybe 9.
All I knew was that I was fascinated by something I didn't understand.
The day I thought that I woud love it if I got bit for real not that pertending shit,it was after I wat6ched interview with a vampire wait it was before that like ever since I was 13 i have had dreams of being bitten
I've always been interested, but never really knew how to go about learning about the "occult" things without risking ridicule, then in 1989, a person who is now a very dear friend, introduced me to Anne Rice, and a plethera of people that were "normal", yet curious, like me. And then last month, he led me to this site. Thank You Wraith!
The movie lost boys inspired me to do a little reaserch on this subject and my dark lyfestyle mixed very whell with the thought of vampires. so you could say it was a match of a bite made in heave.
since 6th grade, i've always had fair skin, and i get burned very easily. my friends started calling me a vampire. i didn't think much of it at first, but decided to look more into the subject. since then i've been obsessed with darkness, vampires, spirits in general, and auras.
I woke one evening and said," I think I will be a Vampyre today." Ha just kidding..
I find it amazing, But quite a bit of what Jenette said is just so true..Although I never realy took to reading very well.
It was about 5 years ago for me. My friend had introduced me to the clan and I was welcomed as if I was home. For the first time I found a place that accepted me fully for who I was and what I am. I have always been interested with the "supernatural". I was sired shortly after. I have been a Vamp ever since. Then one day I discovered my family actually has a vampiric bloodline in it. I searched and searched until one day i came to England and met Ajax Shakoni. I was told of my history as far up to what he knew, and shortly after I sired my own in order to continue my families legacy, guardians of the underworld. My family trained for generations preparing for the next Gehenna. and now 3 years after that, meeting more like me and feeling even more welcomed and at home.
Lets see tasted blood liked it (when i was 13) got into trouble a lot felt like an outcast who liked dark clothes, music, clothes and felt energised surrounded by things that grow and certain atmospheres and then found this site soooo don't know really :-) lo9l
When I was about nine I rented a movie from the library and it mentioned "vampire" in it. So I asked mum and she said for me to go look it up in a few books. So I went to the library and rented just one at first don't remember what it was but it was one of those "folklore" ones. Pretty soon though I began getting more and more books til I had read every one. So I began to search online for more and quite a few years later here I am now. "winks"
as early as I can remember I have been interested not only in vampires...but in occult topics in general....my mother was into it so I did not have to hide it away when I was doing research...lucked out there I guess
humm neather sure on when, nor how. but i do know why i like Vampires. masters of teh shadows, feared by all. living off what causes one to live. its beautiful. that and biteing is a sexual turn on for me soooo........yyaaaa....
