Well, I hate to go all "Dooms Day" on everyone, but I am in short supply of intellectual minds in my real life and need to share my concerns. We here at VR encompass an enormous amount of different beliefs and I welcome all opinions.
We as humans have finally come to the end of days and it is our own damn doing.
Consider our earth as an entity, a living creature, for me and in the rest of my rant a she. A feeling thing that has had to sit still while "we" have poisoned, burned, polluted, raped and destroyed Her. Carelessly eliminated species after species, destroyed magic (her oldest child) through organized religion and greed.
What have "we" done, "we" have activated an immune system that there is no way to turn off. Tsunami, volcano, earthquake, flooding, freezing, famine.....
I do not believe in the "End of the World",
we will begin again as we have done before. I believe many of the minds here will be the new "Hands of God", the forces that help reshape...
I know that some of you will read this and think that I am crazy, but for those of you who have been growing more restless, sleeping badly, feeling anxious for no known reason, like a caged animal....
I offer an explanation or something like it...
very nice. i agree with you ...we as humans as slowly killing the earth...but how to stop it? it is a force greater than us...a few people can't stop the what the whole world is doing,..
its sad that it has come to this...we've taken this "destruction" so far, its impossible to stop it now...
so what would you do?
I think I'd be inclined to agree with you, to some extent anyway. I consider the earth less it's own sentient force then just a small part of a whole, as is everything else within the universe. My concept of god is the collective of everything contained within the infiniteness of the universe, across all time and space. The degredation of the planet by humans and the increase in intensity of natural disasters are a little too much to be coincidental. Everything is part of a cycle anyway. Everything is eventually broken down, rebuilt, and evolved into new things. Humans dominate this planet more and more every day, the population is growing at an exponential rate, and the earth can only support so much. Fill something up too full, and it will start to overflow. If there's no outlet for it to flow over into, it will shatter. I think a good analogy would be that the planet is trying to create some leaks to prevent an overflow.
I absolutely agree with you. This has long since coming. My question of this is; with our heightened senses, our learning, our gifts, do you think that this is a way for humans to adapt to our changing environment, giving us an edge. Is this a way for 'her' to give her children a fighting chance and what of those that do not listen or accept these gifts which we have accepted? If this is the case, our 'unusual' nature may just become very well the 'new norm.'
Just my two pense
your post may have helped me and my friends greatly....for many endless months we have been unable to sleep properly unless we were completely exhausted, our appitites have been abnormal, and other things of that sort have been affecting us....And i myself have felt a pain within that is not my own...a pain made of sadness, despair, anger....
I wholeheartedly agree with you and the dismal fact is we have done such in a short period of time. It is truly distressing that within only over one hundred years we have in truth been putting to death Mother Nature, striping her of her purity and we continue to do so. It is believed that the evolution of humans were created in present form 10,000 years ago, where shall we truly be in 10,000 years if we continue this course of destruction we are taking? I feel the gradual adaptation of a life is to better suit it's environment however we are taking from the environment to better suit us, and how selfish are we for doing so? Many laws have been read and written for the better of mankind yet no constitution as to the motive to obey the principles of Mother Nature have truly been, do we really feel there are no true consequences for doing as we do?
hmmm
hard concept....some would say that the world like everything else goes through cycles and what we do has little or no affectm on these cycles....there have been numerous ice ages and world scale cataclysmic happenings
but others would say that these events were a means of cosmic punishment.....
me I feel that we like everyone will get what we have come to deserve be it good or bad and there is little or nothing that will change this.....cosmically we are no more than ants digging in the dirt.
a little harsh....but I hope a realistic view
Interesting topic----I’ m a Theologian and I’ve done a lot of research in this area. I have started to right a book on this topic from an astro-archeology perspective viewpoint. I have a shortened version of it complete. You should check out some of the links on my profile on it. All though I’m not a liberal tree hugger (no offence to anyone) and don’t believe man is at fault for everything. I feel we need to improve our ways but no matter what the earth is in for some radical changes it is prophesized that way in all-Christian documentation and many pagan cultures that well. See the earth spins on an axis that is not a perfect circle, more like a wobble causing the poles to shift through a platonic year.
This is know as precession of equinoxes (where pagan belief derives from) we go through twelve ages starting from zep tepi (the first time) starting at Sept 21st 10500 BC which was the age of Leo the sphinx mirrors the constellation on that date and that is where the ancient hall of records are located and we have come down through the age of Aries the ram (age of the Jews) all the way till the age of Pisces (the Christian age) which ends 2012. And on to Aquarius the new age. 2012 is also when Christian prophecy starts. ( I know I know TMI—lol) So yes we start over again and again
oh yeah and if you are refering to biblical points about the world ending it is in fact a mistranslation of the greek for end of the age of grace (Pisces) Thats why paganism is comming back into mainstreme ideas Aquarious means Atonement or at one with thats the new age
...i agree that people have over-polluted and over-populated the planet. but i think you give this great ball of dirt and water too little credit. the natural disasters have happened for eons. this planet will cleanse itself (purge...?) of it's parasites and become whole again - it's happened before and it will happen again. there is historic proof of this geographically. i doubt very much that it will happen in our lifetimes, but it will happen. until then, we can pass on our stewardship of the ball of dirt to our children and their children and their children and try to set by example an alternitive to what will ultimately be our own destruction, not the earth's; to pass on the knowledge and the forsight to slow the inevitable -> our own destinction.
...i say: *LET'S PARTY LIKE IT'S '99!* 8)
i didn't party at all when it turned 2000 :(
but i have been predicting the human demise for several years. and it's come from the inside. Humans are corrupt and it's mostly because of our own dominance and power. we have technology that destroys, and we simply are a destructive race.
Like Agent Smith says in the matrix, we are a plague of this planet.
But i'd like to state a good example of a symbiotic relationship that we ALL have with a being we don't know exists. On our eyes, live ickle ickle bacteria dudes, now when dust gets in our eyes or dirt, those little guys eat it.
I wish the world was more like that. We helped the world, we had technology that helped the world or benefitted us both, sadly nothing's going to change till it's too late. I've been predicting this for years. We will destroy ourselves
Well I'm not all "WE ALL GONNA DIE!!!!" but you do have a very valid point in context every single living thing on this planet has a way of defending itself either physically or on a bio-chemical level so who's to say that mother Earth does not have an immune system?? I mean (matrix here but its a good metaphor) humans are like a virus and well any living thing can only tolerate an infection for so long b4 it reacts and viruse's mutate as well so maybe thats why we are still here we just adapted to mother natures defenses but we can only adapt so much b4 long mother earth will get the drop on us or simply we'll win YAY you think.....no if we win all earth's supplies used up social breakdown will folllow and well maybe the world would end but if it does can we really bitch about it..........................not really :-(
The earth is not gonna die. We have not even used a quarter of her natural resources.
To elaborate, I do not think that earth is dying or even close to dead. We are simply at the bottom of the pendulum and are beginning to swing back up. I highly recommend Graham Handcocks "Finger Print of the Gods" if the cycle of birth and death of earth is an interest for you. Also the book goes into the lost civilization theory that connects the South American pyramids with the Egyptian.
Oh Yeah and Khayman is hot! :)
I think that eventually the earth is going to go Tokyo Bablyon on us (Tokyo Bablyon: manga comic and anime movie) and wipe the human race out and start over.
this would make sense if you believe in Pangaea. They would have at some point been one of the same people.
It is said the the world broke itself off into pieces.
In geologic terms, a plate is a large, rigid slab of solid rock. The word tectonics comes from the Greek root "to build." Putting these two words together, we get the term plate tectonics, which refers to how the Earth's surface is built of plates. The theory of plate tectonics states that the Earth's outermost layer is fragmented into a dozen or more large and small plates that are moving relative to one another as they ride atop hotter, more mobile material. Before the advent of plate tectonics, however, some people already believed that the present-day continents were the fragmented pieces of preexisting larger landmasses ("supercontinents"). Plate tectonics is a relatively new scientific concept, introduced some 30 years ago, but it has revolutionized our understanding of the dynamic planet upon which we live. The theory has unified the study of the Earth by drawing together many branches of the earth sciences, from paleontology (the study of fossils) to seismology (the study of earthquakes). It has provided explanations to questions that scientists had speculated upon for centuries -- such as why earthquakes and volcanic eruptions occur in very specific areas around the world, and how and why great mountain ranges like the Alps and Himalayas formed.
Why is the Earth so restless? What causes the ground to shake violently, volcanoes to erupt with explosive force, and great mountain ranges to rise to incredible heights? Scientists, philosophers, and theologians have wrestled with questions such as these for centuries. Until the 1700s, most Europeans thought that a Biblical Flood played a major role in shaping the Earth's surface. This way of thinking was known as "catastrophism," and geology (the study of the Earth) was based on the belief that all earthly changes were sudden and caused by a series of catastrophes. However, by the mid-19th century, catastrophism gave way to "uniformitarianism," a new way of thinking centered around the "Uniformitarian Principle" proposed in 1785 by James Hutton, a Scottish geologist. This principle is commonly stated as follows: The present is the key to the past. Those holding this viewpoint assume that the geologic forces and processes -- gradual as well as catastrophic -- acting on the Earth today are the same as those that have acted in the geologic past.
This is the eart doing this to itself. Like a restoration. Granted, humans have destroyed many forums of natural life, but the impact has not been great enough to blame the end of times on "us."
killing= pollution and so much destruction...of course the planet will never die, i studied this in biology and zoology as well as ecology. the only thing that will die is the human species, for we are slowly creating our own demise.
first and foremost if everything in the planet does die, it will again rise a new....for it has happened before, during the mass extinctions of the permian era (a 225 million years ago) and the cretaceous era as well (65 million years ago)
and it will keep happening because that is the way life is, the world functions by natural selection (if you believe in that) and it does have selective discrimination of particular biological traits that occur within intervals of time called catastrophic species selection...and im sorry to burst some bubbles but us humans are animals, considered species as well...we undergo this process and we will eventually cease to be someday as new species will be created better than ours, by natural selection...
consider this planet like a pheonix. It restores itself only to come back stronger.
Alilyanna that is on my links in my profile and i own the book
Deity
the pangea theory cant appliy to lost civilization theory because it predates man
to the last dinosaur age check my links many topics on earth cycles and astro-archeology
I believe that i lived in atlantis many lives ago. i was told this by a channeler. i was also told that i was one of the top healers/holy peeps that caused its ultimate destruction, through its technological advancement. it appears we are on our way to that ultimate ending once again. ive often wondered, with what they have found, batteries from thousands of years ago, how many past civilizations we are nesting on. were there super wal-marts'? ha.....were there kfcs'? we have to start from scratch everytime! ugh....its like reincarnation. but isnt life grand? its unfortunate that it must be this way. i just believe that it simply is. not good, nor evil, like us. its the way it is to be, for our spiritual advancement. thats me, anyway and how i see it. scary as it may be sometimes. and beautiful at the same time. namaste.
one theory will always contradict the other. That's the beauty in the word "theory"
:o]
:: blush ::
Yes... Indians blush. >:)
Alillyanna-
You are indeed quite a beauty yourself, darling ;)
I would be inclined to agree with this also. I understand what you are saying and more importantly its relevence, and for peopel to be aware of your opinion. I do believe that we are a destructive race who are bringing this turmoil to the planet on ourselves, sow e should embrace what we have left while we can.
Dear Alilyanna... You must have known how I would respond to this thread.
It's pretty arrogant to think that as a species we have any real impact upon this terrestrial ball. Species have gone extinct by the millions before humans began to crawl out of the mud. Hundreds of species continue to become extinct daily. As Daermon already pointed out, the earth has constantly experienced drastic climatic changes. It's all a function of nature.
The physical universe is a series of circles. The earth rotates on its axis. The moon rotates around the earth. The earth rotates around the sun. The sun rotates around the Milky Way. The Milky Way rotates around the Local Group. It continues and continues... Down to our most basic element, the atom, where electrons rotate around a nucleus.
Due to the vastness of the universe and its complex nature, it is indeed arrogant to think we affect earthly things in any real way. We could detonate every nuclear, chemical, and viral device we have and we would not destroy this planet. We might make it uninhabitable for ourselves (might!), but life would continue.
When you're feeling blue about your perceived state of affairs on this planet, go out on a clear, new moon night, and lay flat on your back and look at the stars. Try to comprehend the vastness of it all. It will humble you - and the role of your species.

Umm I cant believe I'm reading this... excuse me I dont mean to be rude but come on if the world had to "end"..like with a sudden pole shift why should I bother even if I had to die in the process.. it is just bound to happen sometime now & then...plus I know humanity has been rough with Gaia especilally round these hundred year..but well liking it or not we're part of it.. so better let destiny take it's own course and do try not to think about it as long as you can without anything happening..(I mean seriously)
I think before we get so down about earth, we must get the basics right on world pollution. Mostly all member states of the UN have signed up to the Kyoto agreement . Why is America dragging her heels on this issue?
It would be a huge mistake for the US to sign Kyoto. The treaty is very anti-American.
American’s don’t like foreign nations telling them what to do. Kyoto would put enforcement of Kyoto with an International body, bypassing America’s court system. Furthermore, Kyoto does not penalize developing nations in the same manner it punishes ‘1st world’ nations. IE countries like China could continue to be the worst offenders, while countries like America are punished.
It’s not a fair treaty. It won’t be signed by America in its current format.
Any American who is at least 30 can recognize the huge strides America has made ON ITS OWN in curbing emissions and pollution. The 1980s was perhaps America’s most polluted period… But since then we have cut pollutants drastically. Our population has expanded, our production has expanded, yet our pollutants have greatly decreased.
Countries like China continue to pump unacceptable levels of pollutants into the oceans and atmosphere. Ask any American who lives on the West Coast about the big brown clouds that roll over from China…
Hmm, then that explains to me why America is getting so much bad press about this. Its sad really that people should have such a poor view especially when America has done so much for all its allies.
For me, now I do understand it better..thankyou and if there is non-compliance with bigger countries such as China who is not an ally of the US then America rightfully as a full reason for its non-compliance.
There are many American’s that will disagree with my statements about Kyoto. Most people have never actually read the treaty or analyzed it.
Of the remaining Americans who are pro-Kyoto, most are greenies who if they had it their way would eliminate all automobiles, aircraft, and industry… And have us on horseback picking berries for survival and living in mud huts.
Hehheh!!!
Bring back the Pony Express too ??
*silly grin*
Well...
Here we are again. This time the US felt the horrible destruction that She can release. Hate me for the opinion, but I feel the evidence is in my favor.
Cancer,
I know you would love to go back to the Hunter/Gatherer days. Give you a bow and a loin cloth and nothing could stop you! :)
Me I'm looking Forward to it. I've always said. We need to adapt to everything. Poisons, toxins, No Ozone. Do People realy think the can distroy something that created us. I personaly want an age of the Vampires. Are numbrs are growing daily. So, Enjoy Live Quite Worring about it.
I....sit on the fence. I feel that humans have affected the earth, but I have little doubt that the earth will survive us. Life may come to an end for humankind, but the planet will heal itself.
natural disastures are natures way of cleanin up afte rus humans
I read every single part of this and i am too lost for words.. I know that lately a lot of disasters happened but i dont think is the end.
I had trouble reading it because all i wanted to do was stare at my Alilyanna :P
Speaking of Kyoto, I think that would be the biggest mistake ever... Sure it reduces pollution but at the cost of millions of jobs, and lets the third world countries catch up to us... Eventually all the companies would move to the third worlds and we would become a third world country.
As for us destroying the world, what else are we going to do? I can't really say that I would give up everything I have just so deer don't die off or some exotic bird that no one has heard of gets to live. Plus there still a couple of untouched places in the world.
I agree about kyoto...I feel strongly that as it was written Canada should have stayed out of it too.....
and yes the US does not like to be told how to be....they prefer being the ones to try to force others....hehhe
sorry it's a stab that HAD to be said...
and i'm feeling rather tactless tonight
this is still one of the better thread topics in a while though
thanks to whomever dragged it from the abyssof forums hell
I only slightly agree with you, We do destroy some areas. Though to no extent where we could destroy the whole planet. Cancer is very right, look up at the stars and moon one night. Its very humbling. As for the Kyoto agreement, Look at Mexico, they have one of the smogiest cities as their capital. And we would get severly reprimanded for cities like L.A. Where the whole country of Mexico Is in shambles of pollution. We are wise to not sign it. Things need to take their course and we have to do it on our own.
You're not crazy,I agree with you.
Humans are distroying nature cause of their egoism and greed.
Thing is we need progress, but humans exagerate, cause they want more and more, and take only from nature and give nothing. So it's like nature is doing revenge.
Great thread Alilyanna.
I believe that Earth is reacting, like you said, like our body reacts when we have an infection. I'm not going into politics. I will just state what I think. WE HAD IT COMMING. Of course Earth has it's cycles, but just look at the weather: in Portugal we had 4 seasons. I'm 30 years old, and for abot 10 years we practically have a tropical weather. No midle seasons anymore: either is hot like an oven, or very cold and rainny. This wasen't usual and I'm not talking about documented situations, I've been living it, and even old people say that they never saw anything like that before.
I believe that some damages are in fact irreparable, and a "a tropical bird I never heard of" deservs my consideration like any spiecies in the planet, like I would like to be considered if I didn't have the illusion of being the top of the food chain. Anyway, I still hope that something can be done to make this better, if we all put our differences aside and start thinking in terms of common good.
Like someone said : "If Earth was a space-ship, would it ever cross your mind to poison the water deposit, or pollut the air supply?!"
Well, we can go on about ho awful we are, or we can do something about it.
Try not to make excess litter, sop killing all the animals...
Good point. Here's a link with solutions
http://www.greenpeace.org/international/campaigns/climate-change/solutions
I disagree and agree somewhat with both Alilyanna and Cancer...
Whilst I accept that humanity has imbalanced the eco-systems to a large extent, I do not believe that it will precipitate the end of life, or even our own species, but we have changed the nature of our earth and so will most likely have some hard times ahead, soon- I reckon within my lifetime.
However, humanity's greatest ability is adaptation...even if we have to live in underground or domed cities, or even space, we will find a way to survive pretty much any catastrophy.
And we only occupy the top layer- 1% or less of our planet. There is plenty of macro-biotical life that stretches down miles under the ground and seas, so, even if we did manage to kill ourselves off, yes, the earth would survive and another species would evolve to our position, eventually.
Yes i too agree that whilst we have raped, pillaged and plundered this planet,we are but part of a bigger cycle of events that go well beyond mankind. She is a force to be reckoned with but we as mankind will not destroy her, just make living harder for ourselves.
actually Alilyanna i'd have to agree with you there.
though here in the US we build things and whether it be during an earthquake, hurricane, or somthing along the lines it gets destroyed. people need to get over the fact they created something band buildings in over say Japan last through their disasters why cant ones here. lack of skill in building is what it is. we may have ruined the earth.
but She has Her own way of cleaning up after things. if we survive it we do, if we dont. oh well it was our own damn fault we didn't survive as a species. we had made many disappear and maybe She is planning the same fate for us. one can never know. but it wouldn't be to late to change how things are.
basically mother earth is striking back for the way we abused and misused her all along. she is sending us more and more drastic signs that we had better stop or she will destroy everything. and im not so sure that she will give us another chance to prove ourselves
I'm with lordvampirio..Mother earth is striking back and that's why I seem to smile when things like tsunami or katrina happen...We are the cause of this...Condaming me won't change shit
Lovely thread
have you ever noticed that most floodings happen because humans changed the natural run of the river? made it flow faster or slower or diverted it? i always thought that this was stupid coz if that had been the best option why did the river not choose it?
that's right...Humanity disturbs, changes and get in the way of the so called ''natural'' way..A defination which has been lost through the ages!
it will be our own fault if the world does screw up, its us thats causing it, we know it and yet are only now beginning to do something bout it, and its too late
mankind think they know everything and yet they know nothing. mother earth does the right thing by proving it this way. i only feel sorry for the ones who are actually innocent coz they are usually being hit the hardest
that's sort of right lord...I'm using the phrase ''sort of'' cause I believe that no one is really innocent
I do not believe that as a species we are important enough to be the end of the earth..that is arrogance in it's biggest form. I do think that it is more of a symbiotic relationship, and that when the host (earth) is being overdrawn, then she will do whatever it takes to resume a healthy balance. And while I agree with the pendulum reference, I do not believe we are on the upswing just yet. I am afraid things are going to get worse before they get better.
I didn't think any one was being Arrogent by stating we might be the end of the world. It's extremely possible since humans are destroying most things just by living the way they do.
Maybe cycles happen in the earth whether or not someone is polluting it. It just happens and things regrow hopefully. It just may be our unfortunate luck that we're here when a cycle happens.
It would be truly arrogant to think that the actions of humans in any way precipitated the Louisiana hurricane or any North American or World natural disaster.
The North American continent has seen nothing but continual natural disasters. This has been going on since before humans stepped forth onto this continent. It is more dangerous here than most parts of the world.
I think we are at, or nearly at, a point in technological advances that would enable us to actually be able to destroy this planet. I can accept the possibility that the increase in intensity of natural disasters and whatnot are the other end of the scales trying to balance things out. Although far from actually destroying it, humans have made a massive impact on this planet. Just because the planet's climate changes drastically over time does not mean it happens magically. There is a cause for every effect. Everything follows in some sort of cycle, even if it isn't appearant. Many people try to picture these cycles as perfect circular motion. Nearly instantly occuring effects for actions. This definatley isn't the case. Look at the Earth's orbit.... it isn't circular. Then you have situations like the butterfly effect to take into account. Not the movie, the idea it's based upon, along the lines of a butterfly flapping it's wings causing a storm on the other side of the planet type of thing. Even though we are not the sole cause, it's ludacris to think that we as humans haven't made a pretty massive impact on this planet. We've begun to harness energy sources powerful enough that an amount of matter that would fit in a thimble could almost completely destroy everything living in an entire country. Even in the grand scheme of the planet, that's a pretty significant impact. In the few thousand years, we have been responsible for the destruction, or near destruction, of entire species that took millions of years to evolve. A small rock thrown into the ocean may not be noticed. But our planet is just a small glass of water in that ocean. The splash we've made is definatley noticable.
I don't know what will destroy the planet. But I also don't think it matters. If the planet went boom, what the hell could we do to stop it or save ourselves? It's sort of the same question as "when are we going to die" it doesn't matter. keep living..
Good post :)
mmm I did hear something about that the earths magnetic field is "drying up" and that with the new millenium (the year 3000 for those who don't understand) that field will be gone.
Plus you'd need to check out how many "near misses" the earth has as a shooting target for killer asteroids each year. Near misses in astrological viewpoint.
So in time the immune system won't be a problem...
Might be a little less rough for us to heal it now....but not much point in the long run
(forgot to post that along with it :P )
TD, you surprise me. We couldn't even come CLOSE to destroying this planet. At best we might make areas uninhabitable for certain life forms in certain regions.
Detonate every war device. I guarantee a few humans will find a place to live somewhere... Whether it be in a cavern or under the ocean. And the impact of such devices would be temporary.
It's a far cry from destroying the planet. Even if every mammal was destroyed that's not the same thing as destroying the planet.
I think anti-matter definatley has the capability of destroying the planet. We have created anti-matter, just in very small amounts. It's logical that over time those capabilities will increase.
The Thing That Most Worries Me Is The Slow Depletion of The Ozone Layer
Anti-matter provides 100% mass to energy conversion when using Einstein's formula e=mc².
The earth's mass is approximately 5.9742 × 10^24 kilograms.
So to completely destroy the earth you would need to create that much anti-matter.
You would probably be able to drastically change the landscape of the earth with a fraction of that much anti-matter, but you would still need *a lot *.
It would probably be easier to make the sun go supernova.
All these theories are fun to think about but are not realistic in actual practice. There has not been a wartime nuclear detonation since 1945. Just because something can be done does not mean it will be done.
I didn't say we were going to destroy the Earth, nor that we are currently definately capable of doing so, but merely that the possibility is there. I may have gotten a bit exaggerated, but the intent was merely arguing your statements that humans have made only an insignificant impact on the planet.
Whether one accepts it or not doesn't matter...
The world could end but for some reason I think that humanity will survive and respawn some place else!
I am impressed and very happy that someone has opened up about this situation. It is true, we are destroying our own mother planet and we have gone too far, there is no turning back. One day, creator with destroy creation...
not sure if i totally agree with your post or not, but, i highly doubt the human race will bring about the end of the world...while we do rough it up quite a bit...there are so many other factors out there affecting it, can you really say its only the human race causing the earth's decay?
hey that makes total sence to me
i was and have been talking about this for days with my friends
cancer and deity are 100 percent correct
but cancer.........your my hero
This idea is not new, by any means. The theory that the earth has a type of Immune System and will sooner or later destroy humanity. It's been called the Gaia theory. The Idea of the Earth (or Gaia) as a living entity, With an immune system that sooner or later will see humans as a diesease that needs to be wiped out. Just as our own Immune Systems attack disease.
It could explain all the screwy viruses, AIDS (the plague of the century), Bacteria, Flesh eating strep, ect. In the same vein, all these things could've existed before for years and we're just now finding out about them.
As far as "it's the end of the world". No. It might be the end as we know it, but every ending is a begining. If we got rid of the shit that boggs us down daily, went back to tribal and pre historic shit, oh well. I'm packing up and heading to Black Rock City to live with the rest of the nuts.......
To quote one of my favorite movies
"end, begin, all the same. Sometimes good, sometimes bad"
I think that some of you missed my point. I do not think that were are going to destroy the Earth, nor do I believe that it is "the end". The Earth will go on just as she has done before. What I do think is that we have done as much damage as we are going to be allowed. I also do not think that ALL humanity is going to die. But I believe, without question, that a whole lot are.
I love VR for this Forum. Thank you for all the feed back on this one!!
