i cant wait till friday to see this film so i was woundering what is everyone elsess expectations

Well I was mega suprised that
a)It was named after the character not the comic (Hellblazer)
b)Keanu is the lead role
But sayin that am still loooking forward to it I just hope it follows Spiderman 1 and 2 and Blade 1and2 (haven't seen 3 yet:-( but it looks cool so far am really looking forward to Corpse Bride and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with Johnny Depp

I want to go see this movie. From what i've seen in the previews an TV, it looks like it's goona be a really good movie.

i think it looks like a really good movie and i would go see it. but you also must remember that movie companys show you good clips in the preview, and then the movie just sucks. but with that said, i would still go see it

i saw the trailer months ago (i work in a cinema and get shown trailers before most people) When i saw the constantine trailer i thought it looked pretty awesome, that was a while ago, i saw the trailer again just yesterday and i have to say that i'm still damn excited about it. and REALLY wanna know what that big black thing with wings is :D

LOL sponge bob me and my mates got wasted a few dayz ago and were arguing whether he really was a sponge or a weetabix box lol we were royally wasted lol but yep constantine loks cool :-)

Seems like it'll be another Matrix-esque movie.

...however, I haven't been to the movis in ages, so I need to get out and see a movie eventaully. I'll prolly end up seeing this.

I agree with Cancer, he does get a bad press (Devils Advocate, what a film!)

I have seen the trailer for this and it looks fantastic, however I am not quite sure when it comes out in the UK.

i saw the trailer again today... nearly ejaculated... i figured fallen angel. but Constantine says he see's things others don't. so it could be something from the underworld. just a beast or something

As for Keanu, i think he's a good actor, just people think he's wooden because of his accent. His list of films is pretty amazing but Keanu is now pushing 40 isn't he? and as pretty as Keanu is i'm wondering where his career will go from here on

the movie looks good but i have no high expectations of it i hope it not as bad as any other reeves movies

Okay, I just got back from seeing the film...

I was very impressed with it. It kept me enthralled for the full two hours, which nowadays, is more and more uncommon.

The story line and characters were both good. I recognized many of the occult rituals put forth, which means the writers did their homework. There were a couple of things I had contention with, but they were minor... Of these, perhaps the largest was that I felt some of the story was borrowed from the movie The Prophecy.

I'll definitely need to see it again... Some things went by fast (demon names, Latin utterances, etc), and I'd like a second look. I can't imagine any member of this site not enjoying this movie....

The movie was great but agree with Cancer I will have to see it agin the movie is very fast paced.

guess I need to get out more or watch more tv.. cause I haven't even heard of it.. *hangs head in shame*

I saw the movie ASAP and it was a helluva lot better than I thought it would be. I would go see it again. And those of you who know me... it's very rare I will bother going to see a movie because I can't sit still long enough to see one through. I sat there with this one! I definitely recommend it to anyone interested in seeing it... and to those not interested.

AND... I totally and completely agree with Cancer on his remarks and comments!

The movie previews looked good ~ How he has the power to see things others can't is awsome ~ So were the visual affects ~ Yep, I'm gonna go c it ~~~

*sniffs* why can't we (the uk) synchronise the release times with the US... we get about two weeks delay on everything... dvd's... new films... video games...

i have to watch this movie tonight. i won tickets just sending sms so i get to see the movie for free. i'll get back later to give my comments regarding the movie.

I want to see it just to see if it is any good, or to see if it is any thing like what it is made out to be.

I know, it isnt fair that we cant have things released at the same time here.

Sounds like this is getting a good press. I already really want to se it, but now Im feeling jealous that I have to wait for ages until it comes out here!

i went to see the premiere and it is definitely a good movie. fascinating one. one can't help but enjoy, even love the nature of the characters in the movie. it may have the similar plot of heaven versus hell and also Gabriel havin a ball but this movie is absolutely a must see. and don't forget to stay and let the credits end. there's somethin to catch there. and as Cancer said, it is unimaginable that a member of this site wouldn't enjoy this movie.

Film is pretty good IMO. I think it could have been better were they to have found someone with an english accent to play Constantine. English actors on average convey the seething-nonchalant-arrogant role better. As it was, I kept having Matrix/Devils Advocate flashbacks throughout the movie. One of the angel characters reminded me of the Prophesy abit as well.

One and three quarter thumbs up!

On a side note, anyone have a good link to any Dead Sea Scrolls translations or updated sites? I fell off my studies and can’t seem to find anything pertinent.

I enjoyed the movie a lot. and I agree with Cancer that Keanu doesn't get enough credit for his work. I mean if you've ever seen him on stage... He did FUCKING faboulous job as Hamlet... The hardest part in shakespeare to play, and he did it wonderfully.

But I enjoyed the movie a lot. I already have it saved on my Netflix list, and I want to go see it again.

I always had trouble with his lack of facial expressions....or maybe that's just me.
People around me who have seen it thought it was pretty amusing. I myself haven't had time to see it yet.

I've seen it. I thought it was quite good. Had some interesting points that made you think about religion in general. a little slow in parts but all round a good movie.

I wanna see it too; but Keanu Reeves, why? I don't think he is actor for this role..
And I can't wait to see new Tim Burton movies and remake of 'Phantom of the Opera' =)

He is a bit of a wooden actor, and it just made me feel like I was watching the Matrix again. :-)

However, I really enjoyed this film. It had pace, suspence and intruege. I would recommend anyone with an interest in its subject matter to go and see it (I really want to talk about it now, but I dont want to ruin it for those who haven't seen it!)

as i said to you Echo the other day, i reckon Keanu's next role will be completely different... not one of those "I'm the hero saving the world" character

didn't he play some creepy farmer dude in one movie, i thought he played that well.

Keanu Reeves and Cameron Diaz. Keanu doesn't play a hero and shows just how well he can act.

And as I've said before, I think Keanu is good in The Replacements, The Gift, and even Dangerous Liaisons.

the movie was great

but the movie is a little bit of Spawn and alittle bit of Angel.

I watched the movie & I can say it was definetely GOOD!!... Swinton was mindblowing as well as Peter Stormare as lucifer .... I had a bit of mixed feeling placing Keanu Reeves as Johny.C not because of how he acts etc. (He's actually my favourite besides DeNiro*) but just because Johny.C look so different in the comic book..Movie stars WANTED!!..

I quite liked Hide and Seek, although I squeaked like a big girls blouse all the way through, while Gorey took the mick out of me. :-)

IVE YET TO SEE CONSTANTINE HOWEVER ...."ALL PRAISE CANCER" FOR I TO AM A BIG KEANU FAN......
