i have often wondered why people seek the meaning oflife when it was discovered so long ago, if u want the meaning of life just look in the dictionary.

I believe that we can only assume what the actual meaning is, and never know for sure. i believe we can make our own meaning, even if one was preset for us before our time. i take comfort in the knowledge that even if i have my own meaning set, something bigger then i am has greater plans for me than my personal meaning.

I think it's a different meaning to each person... a different set of goals to make you happy. I would like to think it's to enjoy our time here, touching as many lives as we go, living each day to the fullest. But thats just mine.....

i'm a christian so the mena a life to me is to work for god... but i'm not a very good christian...so the real meaing of life to me is to help others and try to be the best you can and to try not hurt others on your way... some of that is to do with god i know but that is what life means to me.

The meaning of life is subjective... It means soemthing different to everyone, and everyone seeks or doesn't seek it for their onw reasons

life has no definition, life is made up of actions and consequences, you have friends... you protect them.... you buy a cookie...... you get fat...... you go have sex..... you have an std, you have to live life one sec at a time since life can end so fast and besides, dictionarys dont have the meaning of life.........

The meaning of life is a life of meaning. You make it meaningful. If you screw up your life, then its a waste of time and your life sux. Of you go make the best of yourself and do what you want to do in life, then before you die...you can actually tell yourself truthfully...that you had a meaningful life planned that you completed

it is what YOU do with life that makes it worthwhile

Oh man brah the meaning of life is living it with the ones you love and if something happens F*** it just know when you sleep over night you will feel refreshed and revitalized and if ya down brah just step out side bare foot on a sunny day and wiggle your toes in the warm wet grass of the day!

I dont fully agree with SushiSan because a pain can scar ones soul and it will be something you will live with forever so in that case you must be stronger than your scars and live life as best you can despite your scars.

I wrote poem about the meaning of life when i was like 16. here it is..
Life is river with many twists and turns. From a distanceit seems smooth and gentle, upcloseit isa ragingstream or terror with many tributaries and paths along the way one must choose to follow. In a river there are many dams which create obstacles. Lifis walking acros a river, stumbling upon rocks ta pierce and leave permanent reminders o the hoice. You come across pieces of driftwood and is your choice to hop on or et it pass you by.

The Meaning of Life.... lets see, it isn't just about knowing that our lives are having an impact; it's also about dispelling the philosophical fog. It's not only knowing exactly why you got up in the morning; it's knowing the rules you used to make the decision, where the rules come from, and why the rules are correct. Just make sure you have a good rule book and not a shady copy of ebay....

man i ponder this question daily, i don't want to sound like a blasphemer but i think we live to entertain God. i mean think about it He is up in heaven, nothing is going on so He makes Lucifer. Well what are you gonna do then, you got your keep and someone to wage war with but what are you fighting for. so then humans are made. now there is something to fight about, some goal to work on. convincing a messed up being that your side of sacrifice and denial over pleasure is a pretty hard thing to do. so there you, i probably have a few other takes on this but i am tired right now i will come back here and put up my other ideas later

Learning.

Learning all you can, learning from your mistakes, from others' mistakes, from the things you and others did RIGHT.

Learning and growing and helping others learn how to learn for themselves.

In my Catholic way, the meaning of life was a God-given gift that shouldn't be wasted and should be respected everywhere.

In my optimistic way, the meaning of life is to change or make a change for the good of all. Making your own mark into this world before it might be too late.

In my pessimistic way, the meaning of life is to make everyone you know suffer as they do unto you. I believe a real purpose here was to die, because inevitably everthing has to end. He lend it to us hell he can take it away from us in a snap. To get fair with that hypocrite looking down on us here in earth suffer, is to give some chaos of your own.

In a normal way, heck you have to be an idiot to figure it out. Life is something given to us for having ultimate happinesss so don't ponder on it more for knowledge sometimes is bad, especially to much. I'd prefer to be an idiot wasting my life being happy than a scholar/ philospher wasting it by having troubles on figuring the REAL meaning of life.

To me, the meaning of life is nothing more then life itself. To live one's life to the fullest, have fun, and try to not prevent others from doing the same.

Eat, drink, and be merry.

as promised i will now give an alternate take on the meaning of life.

being an all knowing being could have its bad parts, maybe God intentionaly lets himself not know some things so we can figure them out and tell him about it. basicaly He made us as an experiment to learn things the good old fashioned way

I dont know the meaning of life, but I also can't seem to imagine not being here either. I believe that we're here then we're gone. Funny though how "nothing" is impossible to really understand. I figure once you finally understand what nothing is then you're already dead. Then again guess you're not there to figure it out.

Life doesn't have anything to do with what you believe or religion at all. It's simply about living. You don't need anything to happy, you just need something to survive.

well some people believe there is is a such thing as a meaning of life but to me it doesn't exist at all. i think life as a test that i am failing majorly.

i think the meaning of life is to be a real and thinking "individ",you could proceed you race and be just a part of the sistem,just another range, who will always work as a machine, and will be just a littel ... worthless part...
but still if you'll be an individ you will know the real meaning of YOU'RE life...
then you could escape the sistem and make you're own world,you're own sistem...
