I don't believe in ghosts for the same reason I don't believe in Leprechauns, gremlins, unicorns or 80-foot sand worms. There simply isn't any credible evidence to support such a belief.
So I guess it stands to reason that I don't think ghosts have anything to do with the events there. I do, however, think that if people believe they will be he victim of a tragedy, it helps to "set the stage" (so to speak), for a tragedy to occur, simply because some are not as inclined to operate under caution if they feel some peril is inevitable.
I think in this case it sounds like a celeb attention seeking rather than anything else.
I think we all seek concrete proof. I am not at all convinced by any of this.
What is meant by "credible?" I think that idea is a little narrow. Read about Hans Holzer. Read about the life of the psychic behind the Ghost Whisperer. Talk to Danion Brinkley, lol. No one can absolutely prove such things. Not everyone will experience paranormal activity in their life time and some won't be sensitive to it. A cop out, maybe and I don't know why this is but true needless to say.
Obviously something has made all these people scared so why not have them do some sort of cleansing there. Maybe this will put it to rest whether real or imagined. People will feel safe even if it is only believed by some to be a little loony, what can it hurt?
Real or imagined is quiet important to some people, though I understand what you are saying and why, what you suggest is a kind of paranormal placebo.
Oh my goodness. That sounds ridiculous to me, personally.
I think you can chop it up to people trying to get 'good TV'. Whatever that means.
I would never in a million years attribute it to anything supernatural.
When Amatuer dancers perform, fancying themselves more skilled then they actually are, perhaps lacking discipline (stretching, and development of tech.)then they are more prone to accident, rather then admit that they are not as "graceful" as they fancy themselves, they will take what ever out side "third party" dismissal they can get. Sets have been claimed haunted before. Usually on sets that had hostile crew issues, the haunting label used to dismiss the tensions. Sounds more like they would benefit from a Para-Psycologist then a Paranormalist.
Fainting all by itself doesn't indicate a haunting, and accidents happen everywhere. Unless there is documented evidence of a residual energy, I am skeptical of it being anything more than a PR campaign.
i don't know if that place is haunted or not. i think she fainted- that's it and that's all.
I just checked and Ratings Dipped, the pressure to Bulk shows has been cutting into preperation, they have been rushing the shows crew, and contestants as well. A lot of these reality shows fight far beyond their "honeymoon phase".
While I believe in ghosts or I should say that I am open to the possibility, in this case I don't think the stage is haunted. I think if you believe something negative will occur then you are setting yourself up for just that. Interesting read though.
A grain operation had a spike in worker accidents, one of the workers wifes mentioned the history of the farm that was on the site of the plant, and the number of "unexplained" deaths. So it was eventually dubbed haunted, some workers actually quite, because of near fatal accidents. A Paranormal investigator team was eventually brought in. After studying the plants, and interviewing the workers, they called in another type of investigator, an insurance investigator, they turned up the cause of the accidents in a week. The recently appointed maintence man was a getting drunk on the job. He had been connected with all the areas where accidents occured. All this was reveled, becuase someone went through the process of elimination. Once all common factors are ruled out, then fringe explainations are considered. The other way around..? Well you get astonishment before common sense.
While I agree with Dabbler, Beastt, and pumpkinking on this one, I also feel that there is the possibility that the soul or spirit of the one that died in the wrecks could be wondering the area restless looking for their resting places. If that makes since. I also feel that if you set it in your mind that negative things are going to happen then nagative things are going to happen.
I think that usually things just happen. People have accidents, especially when they're doing dangerous things. Dancing on a shiny smooth floor can lead to you falling and hurting yourself. Eating food prepared by anyone could result in food poisoning. Riding on the back of an animal can result in you falling and being killed.
Things just happen.
Im not going to endorse either way on this, but I do know that while workiing in the industry,we heard of all kinds of stuff..The Culver studios,Stage 5 at Paramount. The stories were endless.
My friend Billy, who incidently worked on pretty much every film made as the head projectionist, told me that while yes, there were always weird things that happened,he felt there where no spooks.Just the nature of the places.
I believe in ghosts but not dancing with them
I believe they are here for a reason and to finish what happened to them to go back to their world.
Some are still in the lite for a reason
I don't think I would call it haunted, but I do believe that the buildup of energy from tragic events can inhabit the area and make it more likely for accidents to happen.
Marie Osmond has also been dieting. She does the Jenny Craig commercials. It could be her fainting was due to not a Jenny Craig diet but a diet of some other sort.
It reminds me of the movie polergist where they stated the set was haunted and that is why so much had happened.
Hollywood fact or realty one will never know.
