if you died and a totem pole was made for you how do you think or what would you like it to have carved in it eg: mine would be a lions head at the bottom with waves in the middle and an eagle with its wings spread on top thats what i would like to see

Mine would be a dolphin at the bottom and a Raven at the top.. love them both

I believe totems should embody the best of the person they are ment to personify-so if I were going to have one for myself, I think it would have the body and tail of a cat for gracefullness and stealth, the wngs of a falcon for strength and speed, and the bottom would be waves for fluidity and calm

I'd definetly want a lion's and eagle's head . Eagle on top, lion in the middle..hmm I dunno about other things I'd want on my totem pole. I'll get back with that...

Ok wait I lied! I'd want a Chimera type totem pole. It's a perfect combination of symbolizim.

mine would have a broken heart, open and bleeding onto a beautiful garden, to signify that even though I am broken hearted and lonely I have done all to pour out what I can all those I have me to make their lives richer and to pass on what strength and wisdom I have

a penguin t the bottom and a white tiger at the top for mine.

Mine would be more of a sea creature due to my pagan back ground.

I would like a vine at the bottom, growing from the soil, in the middle a box 9more of a chest actually) and at the top a hand. The vine would represent the growig from teh environment, the chest a sort fo Pandoras box (the loss of inocence with age into society) and the hand cupped, but at an upward angle (reacing for the sky, but collecting the rainwater to symbolise reaching, but still feeding the vines that I began from.)

It would look really strange, but I would be happy with the symbolism of my lifes trials, tribulations and morals.

mine would be a monkey head cause i am just goofy like that and i love monkeys it would describe me bigtime just by looking at it

Oh I forgot to say why.

The cat will represent me when I'm calm,quiet and peacful.

The tiger will represent me when I'm angry.

The Dragon will represent me as a free type hehe.

i really dont know, but i was thinking of getting a sleeve tattoo of a totem pole going up my arm, well im not actually going to get it, but i was thinking about what if i did what i would get on it and i couldnt decidde bc i dont know what things represent, so i would research it first, but if i died i would hope some one would make the totem pole pretty.

The base of the pole, that supporting totem would be a badger. This animal is unyielding in the face of danger and is noted for its tenacity and courage (but not necessarily for knowing when to back down).

I think the second part of my totem, the next layer up, would be the coyote. I am not nice, and I am not really very sane. I think pranks and jokes are funny, and I think stupidity should hurt you. =)

The third part of my totem, I would love to see a dolphin. I have none of the grace this animal represents, but I have dreamed of being one since I could walk. They are beautiful and intelligent, and in a kinder reality, I would see myself as both all the time, instead of every great now and then.

At the top of my totem pole, there IS a butterfly. Many cultures call butterflies the souls of the dead and the keepers of power. No negative energies will be experienced in any Otherworld area where you see butterflies. They will teach you to free yourself form self-imposed restrictions and to look at problems with greater clarity. They are also a totem for adapability, as well as purity, of growing and changing into something pure. I want to be pure someday, in some life.

umm i would like

a bear at the bottom then a jelly fish right above it floating and then a mouse on a throne then i would have lil flowers and stars everywhere randomly

i would like to have hawks and eagles on mine

I'd have to give some thought to the order, but I would definitely include:

Turtle-represents nurturing, earth's energy, longevity, travel, non-violent self defense, respect.

Horse-stamina, mobility, travel, faithfullness, interspecies communication, astral travel, protection of travellers.

Eagle-connection to the creator, healing, wisdom, freedom.

Those are all qualities I either feel apply to me, or that I respect and strive for.

well ok fair thing to ask echo an eagle is significant to me cause it can fly high watch over some attack others and its never touched protected by all a significance i can relate with from child hood if you need more plz message me will let you know but dont want to open this for all to see if you know what i mean its personal yes but means alot to me and the eagle is sharp and strong

...hrmms, let's see...horse on the bottom (carrier of burden and swift of foot), wolf dog next (loyal, unconditional devotion), then domestic feline (aloof, independence), next a crow (dark reason and intelligence) and last but not least on the top a spider (industious and busy and just cuz i dig bugs, man! :)

at the bottom I'd want a crushed suv, then a mangled 4wd honda, then any european sports car all tore to hell, then a destroyed VW bug, (the new ones) and at the top a model of me at the wheel of my Freightliner... smiling.

simple black totem. With nothing on it.

A wolf on the bottom, a swirling vortex of water in the middle, and an owl on top.

My core is a wolf, my life is a swirling chaos flowing about me, and my spirit animal is an owl (I don't really know why. It came to me, I didn't choose it.)

I'm not sure if there's any way it's suposed to be made, but I would like a wolves head, an autumn tree carves into something, and then perhaps a.. symbol of some sort? I'm not too sure, really.

Mine would be a naked lady with a wolf laying at her feet, one hand holding a giant pearl at her stomach (for life) and the other hand holding a, how did we say, oh yeah big a** diamond up over her head so the sun and moon can cast brilliant beams of light to all it touches, and cannot forget my beautiful Hawk streached out behind and above her.
Damn, now I think I need to draw this and see how it looks.....

A wolf[courage/strength], lynx[curious/solitary], raven[free/observant] and an owl[knowledge/patience]. All these creatures hold some significance in my life. [My closest friend claims I'm these things...but I think otherwise! ^_^]

i try to be in touch with my inner self so the most important part of my totem would be a wolf and big eyes at the top so i can see everything that is going on in this crazy world and at the bottom waves to show the calmness of it all

hmm well for my totem i would have japanese writing of some sort up it and near the top an upside down cross, than for the top i would have a demon face with wide spread angelic wings.
