I want to know if anyone has been close to deaths door and what type of experiences have followed afterward?
I recently had kidney failure, fluid on the lungs, and my heart stopped ...though death is considered when the brain stops, it's real close when all else goes as well...I personally have experienced more spirit activity. I fear this means I am soon to cross. Does this sound reasonable?
I would like to know what everyone thinks on both counts here. Thank you.
After an accident, I was dead for three days and kept alive by machines. All that I can remember is watching people visit me and seeing myself in the hospital bed from an elevated position in the room, until I woke up. There was no lighted tunnel or higher spiritual entity, yet I can not speak for the experiences others have had, maybe I just don't remember all that happened.
I have'nt, but my Husband has. He was thrown from a car and was lying in the middle of a road. He saw his body lying there and hear a voice say we are not ready for him yet. Then when he realized what happened to him, his friend who was driving had pulled him over into the grass.
I've not actually been in a state of death myself, but my closest brush with it was about two years ago. I was thrown from a pony in such an awkward position that I was unable to recover and roll into a safe position, so I actually landed on my neck, throat to the ground with my entire weight behind it, enough to snap it and kill myself. For those long moments, suspended like that, I actually remember a very light feeling, like flying, and inner peace just spreading through my entire mind, erasing the panic of the fall. Then I got lucky enough to subconsciously twist and take away the pressure, avoiding being landed on by the pony in turn.
I was dazed for the rest of the day and retain sharp pains in my neck if I hold still for too long, but the feeling of weightlessness remains with me to this day...
The fact that you have recently experienced more Spirit activity during your illness does not signify that you will soon pass yourself.
Being so ill has caused you to give more thought to such things which has perhaps made it easier for you to tune in to the other side.
wow, kalera, sounds very interesting, scary at first, then you felt at peace. Nods a semi knowing grats on getting better.
And thank you very much for your input, Sinora.
Makes sense to me.
When I was 17 I got mononucleosis (mono) and from it came hepatitis B. My temperature was so high and I passed out a lot and people had trouble waking me up. I flat lined once and had to be shocked. The doctor said I was technically dead for over 2 minutes. I do think I did see and hear something.
do you have any special gifts or abilities that you did not have before your illnesses came about DJJarak ???
As a child I was ice fishing with my cousin, and I ventured to a spot and broke through. I cannot say much on feelings or sight, for all went black. I do not know how I got out, but when the light returned to my eyes I was on the shore alone. My cousin had ran to the house to get help. Near death or an instant i was passed, who is to say.
But I think in some times in our lives death has passed us for some purpose yet in the design we do not know what it is. but than we must calculate death will eventually pull the contract in whiich we have been given.
It's safe to say that I was born dead and am only alive because the hospital I was born in had those itty bitty paddles. That's right, I was a stillborn, so technically, I've already been dead once. Can't say that I have any special abilities as in, I can't see spirits, I can't talk to the dead, and the closest thing I can do that comes to special, is tell, by looking at someone, whenever they are in a good or bad mood. It's called Empathy, a trait that is passed down throughout my family.
The only thing that really came from being born dead was that I get sick a lot...not such a good thing when you think about it. I've had pneumonia three times, get bronchitis every year at least twice, and about once a month I contract a cold that makes my voice sound scratchy and my nose run like a faucet. Other than that...nothing.
I am beginning to lose count how many times I have been dead or been near dead as a 4 time cancer survivor with lung disease and such svcs and cut thorasic duct now the heart attack. The spirits I see its kinda hard to explain they are very small lights that leave trails they kinda look like sperm that illuminated some how and they are not malevolent at all but I see sooooo very many and the voices sometimes I want to just yell shut up already ....I wish I could control what I see and hear better.
I don't know I've been at death's door, but I've certainly wandered through the neighbourhood a couple of times...
Many years ago I could've been beaten to death by a gang - I don't have a lot of recollection about the event itself (whether from too many blows to the head or just good ol' repression is anyone's guess ;) ), and whilst I wouldn't say I had any spiritual or out-of-body experiences with it (or none that I recall), I will say that it is something that changes you. In what way - it's difficult to describe. The closest I could get is to say that I LIVE differently now... I realise that there is a reason I'm still here, and while that might still remain a mystery to me, I know, deep down, that the world is not done with me yet.
I knew that everyone who has been there before would all have different types of ways to deal with it and such ...I really would have expected a bigger response to this thread due to the oh so carefree and carelessness we all have for taken life for granted till something makes us realize what we got is short and fragile.
i have had to close times when i almost left this earth , the one that stands out the most is when i fell into a lake and got something called micro plasma nemonia , i had trouble just breathing for a week was in a oxogen tent and was very painful they kept haveing to stick a tube down my mouth into my lungs to get liquid out .
But you know one thing i know is i think will be very happy to go but for now i know i am not done here because i just feel it .
I am a type 1 diabetic . and am not doing to good so the docs say .
But what do they know , i feel great and exercise and eat and take my shots .
Again i say there is something keeping me here not sure what yet ...
First off i was struck by lightning and second i nearly died of salmonella.. They both taught me to not only love life but made me stronger as a person. It also shows me that there are more to life then just suceeding in jobs.. it showed me who was important and what was important.
Keep in mind most societies state that the more times you come face to face with death the more aware of things you become. So simply a increase of spiritual activities does not mean your time is near, it just may mean your becoming much more aware of your surroundings. With that in mind I have come close to death 2 times so far in my life,
first i was 15 turning 16, my room had caught fire. i was asleep.the smoke entering my lungs, when i finally woke up and saw the flames all i could see was the outlines of a laughing figure.
The second time was in 2004, me and 5 friends were traveling for an event, and the front right tire blew out, we ended up spining 3 times and flipping 5 landing upside down in the middle of the interstate, I was lucky enough to have not a single broken bone or cut scrape bruise on me.
Since then I have become more aware of aspects with in my surroundings.
I had a NDE.....believe it or not, while it was happening, not a whole lot worth mentioning. Afterwards however, I love life much more, living on borrowed time is a gift!
On the other hand, I have had numerous OBE's (out of body experiences) that were much more interesting. I saw my soul, other souls, other astral planes, etc.
I tell you about my one seen dream i never thought it any time earlier to that.
I was dead in dream and went to one world of white light. I saw there my dad was waiting for me. He welcomed me. both we knew that i am dead. he was glowing with grace... I sat in front of him and then all the my past bad acts of life with everyone I been wrong, moved through my eyes and mind. I then suddenly started feeling ashamed coz both of us seen those my act and even private bad acts too. He pulled me out of this by forgiving me very fatherly and friendly. He boosted to me highs and then took me to inside of the world and suddenly my dream broken and I realised that such a good my dad is.
it was purely white world of grace and aura.
When, I was 13, I almost died.
My stepfather is a truck driver, when he came home for vacation I got sick. He had brought something from off the road home.
I couldn't eat, I would vomit everything and anything up.
I went without eating or drinking for 2 weeks, then I stayed in bed most of the time for another week, I started to lose my hearing and sight from starvation.
I went to get out of bed and use the bathroom, I fell to the floor and couldn't move, I screamed for my mom for 2 hours.
After that, she forced food into me. If I tried to vomit, she'd hold her hand over my mouth, and make me swallow.Until I got better. We didn't have money or government aid to go to the hospital.
I just remember lying on the floor. About to pass out, wondering if this was how I was going to die. And all the things I would never live to do. I was scared.
I don't remember seeing or hearing anything significant though. I believe in OOBE (out of body experiences), though.
Bloodmother that is a sad story luv.. I know what you felt like though.. i could eat for three weeks and fell when i gt up to use the restroom and then i gt taken t the hospital and they told me i had salomnella which to this day messed up my immune system nicely.. before i got sick i had tons of energy and now i hardly do and i am prone to every illness out there. cold. flu etc...
NyklDormir1 10 minutes is a long time to be dead with out haven any brain damage even as a ex-nurse i dont doubt your story in the least iam sure its genuine ...i cant imagine the pain of the cold i my self once was taken under water a massive wave dragged me down a coral reef coral burns you when it cuts and no one saved me i did not know how to swim i got caught in some type of air pocket that goes to the ocean floor pops and sends a burst to the surface many surfers i have heard drowned on the way up i have no clue but i was back on the beach and well except for the cuts my brain just felt all bubbley i cant explain it :) glad your still with us
When i was 17 my parents gave me one of thier cars. I then found out there was a hole in the trunk above the tail pipe. I got a piece of sheet metal, rivet gun, and silicone. But before i was able to fix it, I had a terrible car crash.
I was on my way home from my then GF's house. Had the windows open in the car to not get overcome by carbon monoxide. I was sitting at a light wanted to go straight. From this point I dont remember anything that happened. I made a left and went about 2 miles down the road. At which point I crossed the road and went head first into a telephone pole. The car I was driving was a 69 pontiac LeMans. This car had a hood on it about 3 feet long. After the accident it was only about 1.5 feet long, and teh transmission was pushed into the drivers compartment. Cops figure I was doing about 70 when i hit the pole. Hitting that pole probably saved my life. If I would have gone another mile I would have gone straight across one of our busiest highways, and most likely woudl not be here today.
Finish the story I was taken to the hospital and checked out. Turns out the carbon monoxide is what saved my life also, because i was out so deep i basically stayed with in the car and ended up without a scratch on me.
when i was younger my family took a trip to the beach. i was caught by a wave and almost drowned. i was saved but i was told later on that i was considered to be dead (the lifeguard couldnt find a pulse). somehow paramedics were able to find a way to revive me. i dont remember much about the experience except seeing nothing but complete darkness and feeling lost...a feeling that i didnt belong there.
after the accident nothing change but as i grow older there have been more and more occurances where i will have dreams that sort of show me a few days in advance something "big" thats going to happen....i dont know if the two nthings are connected but thats just my experience.
I will start. I was in a serious car wreck 12 years ago where I was thrown through the windshield of a Chevy Blazer that was going 45 mph on impact. I was knocked completely unconscious and do not have any memory of anything after the impact. I regained consciousness in the hospital getting a CT Scan. I picked glass out of my forehead for six months. The guy driving the other car was 16 and not supposed to be driving by himself.
I undoubtedly have a purpose in this life for I should have died that day.
I don't know if these count so I will tell you, and you can decide for you selves.
I was born 2 months early, and I had to be put in one of those incubators. Because my body was not able to take in air. They had to keep a tube in my lungs taking liquid out, and putting air in. I barley made it.
Since then doctors say that I am lucky to be alive.
Then when I was 6 years old I was hit by lightning. I don't remember anything from 2 hours before or after. I was unconscious for about 2 days is what I am told. My mom says my dad refused to take me to the hospital. They say that I was standing at the bottom step. That my oldest brother said for me to get down. That I ignored him, and then got hit by the lightning. They say it looked like a giant fist hitting me. They say that I said that it felt like giant power being put into me, like a giant hand hitting me. Then I flew back about 10 feet to the house, and I was slammed into it. That is what they told me, but I can't remember anything. So I guess that is right.
Then there was when I was 10 years old. This memory is fuzzy, I remember a little but not much. I was riding in a friends golf cart. They hit the brakes and I was not holding on. I flew out 3 feet, and 2 feet up. My head hit a huge rock. Leaving half of my head bruised badly. MY ankle was sprained bad enough to where if I got up it would have broken. My right arm had a hair fracture. Then he hit the gas, and ran over my left arm. It broke in three places. 2 of the places were clean breaks. The third one was not fully broke. The doctors had to break it and then reset it. I was in so much pain that I went unconscious immediately. They didn't even have to sedate me, but they had to give me a insane amount of pain medicine for about 3 days. I think it was morphine, but I am not sure.
Those are all the serious ones. The other I don't think could count. As I said whether these are near death or not is up to you.
Oh MY!! Im so sorry that happened. I think I just past out from the pain of that...
those i would say would deffinately cause some trauma that would stimulate parts of your unused portions of your brain to jump into some super natural state
I came close to death when I was pregnant for my youngest son. As a matter of fact the hospital kept calling me the "miracle patient". However, it did not trigger any special abilities or enhance any senses other than just being grateful that me and my son survived.
I do have special abilities, and whatnot. But I don't want to post them. If you are wanting to know, just message me and ask.
XnarconiaX?
Did these come from having a near death experience?
I never realized how many people have been hit by lightning. The next time there is a thunderstorm, I will be heading inside.
I have never had a near death experience, but when I go to the dentist and get her to turn the nitrous oxide to it's highest level, I feel like I can perceive connections that fade once the effects of the "laughing gas" subside. And a lot of people have tried to achieve such states with LSD, peyote and other drugs. I wonder how this compares with near death experiences.
lol more like a who's who of terrible tales, a bit like watching 'jaws' " oh that scar's nothing, just look at this"
a fascinating read here, sympathies to all of you that have gone through some very scary events, good to see how positive you all are,,
just be more careful will ya!!!
I personally experienced it once. I was choking and couldn't breathe, I was starting to black out. I found myself standing looking at myself and looking at my friends wondering why they weren't trying to help me instead of just standing there laughing. One finally realised that I was in trouble and helped me... but I found that I didn't want to go back to my body. But I did, like I was in a vaccum.
xlorex i know that feeling and it is so ephoric there is a very dangerous game that a lot of people play ...acually called the choken game and you choke someone till they pass out and let go you feel gone for a life time when its only been seconds but doing this is very dangeous if one does not let go the brain can swell and swueeze out the small hole to the spinal colume saw that on an episode of Dr. G autopsy i quit playing the game real fast
Some of them I was born with, but others I got after those experiences.
When I was 17 I was in a car wreck. I was broadsided by a drunk driver. I remember looking over the car from up above and seeing myself. Then I woke up to the EMS woman on top of me. It was both scary and enlightening at the same time. It has changed my view on Death. I am not scared of it anymore.
I have read the posts and I am wondering what you all may believe that you now possess special abilities after having these near death experiences? Why are they just now coming out? Is it because you are more aware of life in general and percieve it to be special abilities?
I don't feel I have any -
I also just believe that death is death --
I've been close real close a few times -- I just felt at peace,
was kinda sad when I woke up to still be a live --
I've also looked into more then a few peoples eyes as
they passed -- at first they seemed scared - but as
they let go they seemed to accept it and be at peace
with it ;
No one will ever really know /
