This is a book I picked up somewhere.
Here is a quote:
"After tasting the wisdom of the cosmos, he found that it was centered in the hearts or minds of men. There he found greater mysteries, for it is through men that the cosmos extends into unexplored territories."
I would like to know what our VR members think of this wisdom and if you think Atlantis existed.
I personally think it did and that there were Vampires there also...
I am not sure if it did exist and most likely none of us will ever be, but I can tell you for sure that I truly wish it did exist. Why? Maybe from a deep desire to know that something that we cannot prove exists, that there is something beyond our understanding. But still, a very nice discussion. I never really studied the issue so I wonder if there is any kind of prove about the existance of Atlantis?
Atlantis was one of two islands that existed long before recorded history. You'll find more interesting information on www.lemuria.net
Hey Thanks!!!
I will check out that website my friend.
You are so cool.
I do believe that Atlantis did exist. It probably dropped into the ocean during a massive earthquake, or during that massive meteor strike earth had. Part of California is going to break off when we get "the big one", and part of that "island" will sink. Why can't it be the same for Atlantis? With all of the plate shifting that has occured during the millions of years earth has been a planet, anything like that is possible. There is always some fact to all fiction, that is what makes me believe that there was an Atlantis.
This isnt a subject Ive explored.. but it seems to me that atlantis was a powerful place.. tyty now I have something to explore (I feel slow LMAO!) and something to fill my time!
Why thank you, MinaMurray, I like to think that I'm a cool guy. lol.
But, my question is: who had the idea about the existance of this ancient unknown land far before the recorded history? There must be some seed of truth that generated the entire research... It couldn't just come from nothing as long as it was before anything that was ever recorded... That is really what I am curious about.....
I am *positive* that there were histories written in the Alexandria library that were destroyed when it sank.
We lost so much ancient history - what a tragedy.
But , supposedly, these tablets were discovered in the Great Pyramid. Supposedly, Thoth established a colony in Egypt when the island nation sank and all this happened about 36,000 years ago.
Wow. This book really blew my mind, folks.
Much of the history is passed down by word of mouth, and through channeling. The rest remains in the memories of those who can remember their own past lives. Very little is written about these two societies.
Oh, wow...How interesting. I think this earth has changed so much, why couldn't it not have existed. but with time and the shifting of the planet and the decades that passed things got lost and when they become lost they do have a tendency to be forgotten, then myths form..I believe Atantlis did exist..Considering the movements of the earth throughout the ages.
Exactly! I grew up in a very old Wiccan family and was pondering these questions when I was about 8. I just *know* that Atlantis existed.
Think of how destructive the Earth can be to humans at times...The Earth isn't going anywhere...but humans could be decimated so quickly.
The remaining people - how would they "save" history that was lost?
Good thoughts all...
Yes I do believe that it exsisted I also believe that the magickal power inside it could cure our thirst as the myth of dragon blood.
Atlantis is one of my major areas of study, along with its "sister" continent Lemuria (Mu). Interestingly, nothing at all is credible to show Lemuria's actual existance, it came about when a biologist noted the existance of Lemurs (hence the name) in both Austrailia and South East Asia, and surmised that there must have been land between the two that the creatures came from. Unfortunatly it spawned a large New Age following, and many insist that they are the decendants of Lemurians. Much, however, points in the direction of there having been Atlantis. In fact, recently, there was disacvered what could have once been a road, now sunken, leading to Atlantis near an island off the coast of Florida. Presumably all one has to do to find Atlantis is follow the sunken road. But for now, it would be far too dificult.
Also, forgot to add, Atlantis was said to be a land of science, not magic (it's spelled with a C!). The Lemurian tale says that Mu was the land of magic to balance this out.
As an offnote, I have somewhere a map that my grandfather had given to mewhen he died (through my mom, he died before I was born) that he found in Germany when he was stationed there. It shows a possible location of Atlantis as well as detailing it's territory, which took up most of the atlantic coast as far south as the south of Brazil and up the coast of Canada, as well as all the way up the Mississippi river. They didn't penetrate far inland, according to the map, but this could account for several tales of indigenous peoples (The Incas and their tales of the white gods that visited them before Cortez).
I like the quote, for me it means that it is up to us to resolve mysteries.
As for Atlantis I belive it existed as for vampires living on it,I don't know....
Both Lemuria and Atlantis hold endless answers to all of todays questions...Those who are able to 'tap' into their hidden memories from these civilizations will expand their awareness and knowledges in ways they could never had imagined...I strongly recommend each mind to search themselves for what ever they can find...Through dreams, astral projection, or what ever other means, find where you have been and share your wisdom to those who are interested...Expand the knowledge and energy, everyone will benefit in the long run...
So many of us believe in the existence of Atlantis then.
I do believe that more of us are awakening to our lost heritage.
Here is another quote from the book:
"In symbols, the keys of wisdom are found. Only those who search for the hidden meanings find the way. There is constant change and evolution in man both material and spiritual. As he develops consciousness which is formless and ultimate. Finally, he attains to that cosmic cycle wherein nothing material manifests in form.'
What does this mean to you?
If it's Atlantis you are looking for, I suggest you read the Atlantis Blueprint.
A great book, you could only imagine someone like Indiana Jones writing lmao it is a fact book, very interesting to read as the author was ran over before he could publish his book, leaving it in the hands of his colleague.
Personally? ..I belive there was an Atlantis, Hell if your into heavy metal i even suggest buying Gamma Ray- Somewhere out in Space which is based on the theory that the ancients who were mistaken for gods were actually from another world.
Pure Energy...It's all about Pure Energy...The evolution back to One's True form...After gaining the knowledge and wisdom from each realm each enters and experiences, trying to Master each and everyone...Expanding everything along the way...
For the second quote for me it is,life is a lesson when you learn from your mistakes you gain wisdom and find the meaning of existance.
The statement is layered, as are all great meaningful things...
Both quotes remind me of Yogic Wisdom. I just coined that phase. lol. The travel within, and inner knowledge, and inner mysteries are much larger and vast than any cosmos.
*Laughs with Billy*
I agree that the mysteries within are much greater than the mysteries without.
Where do we suspect Atlantis was? If, as stated earlier, Atlantis extended from South America up to New England...that could explain the weird things on the seabed - especially near the Bermuda Triangle.
Thoughts?
Well, Atlantis itself didn't extend that far, but it claimed that area as it's territory. I wish I had a copy of the map here with me, I could take a picture of it for you. The island itself, according to the map, was about on the same lattitude as North Carolina, and nearly midway into the ocean, but closer to the U.S. than Europe. But again, there's any number of locations that have been given for it, to include even the south pole.
I personally think it did exist and that there are scientific leads as to where it's whereabouts is. This is weird >.> We were discussing this in class the other day >.
Plato makes clear references to Atlantis and refers to it/them as an old civilization, but blessed by the gods. According to Plato, the story goes that they fell into disfavor and were punished and the entire civilization vanished in a day.
So could "disappear in a day" be seen as similar to what we saw on Christmas 2004 with the Tsunami in the Indian Ocean?
It only takes a day (if Mother Earth so chooses) to wreak destruction and ruin on mankind.
Here is another quote from the book:
"Thoth learned that man was universal, existing in the every part of space and an integral part of the cosmic consciousness. The form of man, so far as its materiality was concerned, was one with the basic matter of the stars. As planets revolve around their sun, so the material body of man revolves around its central sun, the soul. Man's body is formed from the primal substance, cosmic dust, and the ether in which the planets float is also cosmic dust.
"After tasting the wisdom of the cosmos, he found that it was centered in the hearts or minds of men. There he found greater mysteries, for it is through men that the cosmos extends into unexplored territories."
The way I interpret that quote is that Thoth ascended to godhood and became the bird headed Egyptian god of writing. Perhaps he found something in fabled Atlantis (which I believe existed; now its on the bottom of the ocean next to or near Leviathan, a terrible sea serpent) that made him of immortal substance (in Milton's Paradise Lost, Satan is cast into a lake of fire, and the reason why he did not perish is because he was made of immortal substance).
These emerald tablets almost to me seem like a diary of Thoth, prior said ascension to godhood and perhaps into godhood.
Just my thoughts.
I can give more feedback on this when I am at home and can peruse the tex; however, I believe that it states that Thoth caused the Emerald Tablets to be written prior to his ascension to godhood.
I will check and get back on this later.
Good thoughts from all around so far.
Yes I think it existed.
But what really scared me is when I watched an attempt for the island Bumany(however it is spelled) to get tourists. It was ont he WATER channel.(I didn't even know there was a water chennel... it had the most terrifiying adds on and the Bummany thing was really low quality and the coolest looking dude was the guy with dreadlocks down to his butt who can't bath because Bummany is broke.)
But anyway, they were tryign to say that they are so close to Atlantis and that people come to bath in a really murky pond on thier island because they say that it curs you of anything that you have and the Antlantis people used to use it. And they had some really wierd perfectly rectangular rocks that were placed in perfect line in the ocean near thier island.
Well I'm not sure if I believe what Bummany claims but I do believe in Atlantis.(but there were ppl who would come there who cliamed they were in Atlantis in a past life and that they remember a bright light and that they can communicate with dolphins.)
I think it is spelled 'Bimini' - lol...
I wonder if I bathed in the pool if it would cure of me of my bad luck with love? But on the other hand, I am damn lucky at cards.
money or love?
hmmmm.........
I belive that Atlantis did exist and that quote is a good one.
Thanks for sharing
After re-reading the introductin (which I hadn't read in over five years) I saw that these tablets were given to the Egyptians as a guide and there are 12 in total.
They are comprised of an alchemical substance developed by the Atlanteans which is impervious to destruction and is emerald colored. They were hidden in the Great Pyramid and the mysteries are too deep to be given to the masses at once (supposedly).
I would love to see these tablets for myself.
According to the book, the survivors of the destruction of Atlantis set out for various parts of the globe which is why we see pyramids in diverse locations that date to around the same period - so says the book.
I find this whole idea fascinating for I have never thought that the Natives from Central and South America crossed the Bering land bridge. They don't resemble the Northern Plains Natives, Inuits and Eskimos at all.
The people who survived Atlantis are described as being like "god-men" compared to the "hairy men" (I would assume here they are referring to the Neanderthals or Cro-Magnon.)
Perhps this is where the myths and legends of vampires began? These god-men who didn't grow old and die like the "hairy men"?
This is actually a very deep subject come to think of it...
if there never were sparkly things in our night sky i doubt human logic would have risen to questions who's answers give us a world we live in at this time this very day, so yes it is a nice queot you have referd to.
as for Atlantis, many worlds are still being discoverd and shall be forever more and many races have just disapeard only to leave us a mystery of not just who they were but how they got to thier own knowledgeable stage. so a world such as Atlantis may be a yes.
as for the Vampyr of that period im sure every race had its strangeness to it at some piont, weather through sacrifices or by beliefs.
i personally believe it did exist and i am sure there were vamps there as there are vamps everywhere but that is one of the things i guess we will never know
