This is a twist on another thread on here about parallel universes.
Some times I have dreams of myself in another life and when I have these dreams it feels like I'm sort of possessing the body of myself in a parallel universe. It feels very real & I can even tap into the memories of that life while I'm there. Also, I am nothing like how I am in my life here. The "me" I see in this other universe is completely different.
I hope that made sense.
My question is: Have you ever felt like when you went to sleep your soul was transported to a "you" in another dimension? and also I would like to know if that "you" was completely different for how you really are?
Hello,
Well, I have had this but I think it was my imagination, or so I have thought... It feels not that quite different in my own opinion...
Yes I have. I've had several dreams that I was living a different life in a different world. I had a whole other persona. But the person I was in the dream and the world was always the same. When I was there I knew people in the dream and had a whole other set of memories. I would wake up feeling like I had been to another place. It was very strange.

Yes that happens to me alot. With me it is not a parallel universe though... it is a past life memory.
I always feel this way... something seems to happen when I fall asleep, at least once a week, and Im taken to the ethereal plain... when Im there, something takes over, something very nasty... something I dont like too much.
Its weird.. when I wake up, I feel as though Ive brought a piece of this life back with me.... even if its emotions, or something much deeper.
Well that's different in a past life you ARE someone else. By that I mean you do not look like you look now and it was a different time period. I also have had a past life dream but what I am speaking of here is of this time period and it is you just another you in a parallel universe.
Yes
Honestly I have dreams of myself in the same time period as I am in now but I am totally different like I'm a mountain climber with a very active lifestyle and I don't have kids. I feel like in those dreams I get to live out my life the way I would really want to, not saying I regret my kids. I just think I'm picturing how it would be if I didn't have them at a young age.
Whan I have these types of dreams I'm not "me" at all. It's not like it an earlier time period either. It's an whole other world. it could very well be just a reoccuring dream, but I'm pretty sure it's not a past life thing.
I have had it happen before, I thought I was dreaming til I saw my own body on my bed. Then I freaked out and woke cause I felt like I was falling.
yes that happened to me once. i was living somewhere completely different and i could see things that had happened like remembering back but not in my life now but in that life then. Hope that made sense but thats how it felt. It felt very real i could feel the emtions of that me then.
I have had a couple of dreams like that. My name stayed the same though. In each one I had different goals and memories. I also belong to different social groups.
the only thing close to that in my dreams is sometimes I dream that I'm me watching myself do things
Parallel Universe-transportation in sleep: a resounding Yes! I have had this happen, several times, and with several different universes were a parallel me lived.
Sometimes the life of the parallel me is very similar to the one I live now, other times it is completely different. I as well get the memories of the "me" in the parallel universe when I am possessing her/his body. One of the weirdest things is when the parallel me is male... it's one of the weirdest sensations!
Once One is able to reach higher levels of clarity of mind, they find it very simple to view, or even shift to parallel realities...I am aware and very much in touch with all my realities and the varied insight and control, that one has on another...I work with some on expanding their abilities in these matters...If someone wishes to know more about this subject, message me directly...Every mind is a bit different, and direct guidance is much more productive...
I've had dreams of myself feeling very funny in the pit of my stomach. The images surrounding me are darker, but more colourful. I feel more like gliding, instead of walking. I know it's me, because I'm looking out of my eyes. The images are almost out of focus. After dreaming like this, I wake up and sometimes I feel almost stiff, and not well rested. Is that kind of what your experiencing Lucky? Its freaky!!!
i have had this happen and it has always been someone completely and totally different than the me that i am
Yes Tzaddi, That is exactly how it feels especially when I wake up. It's like I never really went to sleep. It feels so freaky looking through my eyes but not exactly feeling like I'm in my body (in the dream). I feel as if I possessed someone.
wow, taht never happened to me,but if it will, that'll be very interesting...I would love to...but I'm not sure there even are parallel worlds...

" Tme Shift : Parallel Worlds "
' Light-hearted documentary considering the existence of parallel dimensions and how the concept unfolded from it's origins in mythology into scientific theory.'
Lucky, in many circumstances, this is termed Dreamwalking. You are traveling through dimensions in your sleep.
Some suggest that other lifetimes run parallel to this one, so a lifetime in Ancient Egypt is accessible during this lifetime if one can cross the boundary from this lifetime.
I think travel to other lifetimes in which one can ride along in the host or even exert a degree of control is awesome...and very possible.
Ohh Jenova I just learned something new heheh. "Dreamwalking" I like that term. Very interesting way of looking at it.
I must look into this more, it was so amazing to me the few times it has happened. For those that haven't experienced it, i hope you do one day, it's such an awesome thing to experience.
dreamwalking is a great way to explore the world of sleep
yes i have had that experience but was not sure if it was just a dream or something more and other self was not really much different.
Here's what I am now wondering...Those that say their other self wasnt really different....Are these complex people? So maybe there isnt much from for their other self to be different lol unless they are really boring in the other universe.
I cant say that I have ever had a dream that would fall into that category. It must be really interesting to visualize yourself in a different time and place.
Yes, I have had these types of dreams. I, however, never felt a change in me during these dreams. I still felt like the same person that I am now. *shrugs shoulders* It just never seemed different to me. I was just in another part of the universe, is all.
I haven't dreamed and remembered it in a really long time. But I used to get these like 2 years ago, all the time. I would be in a completely different world. And I wouldn't act anything like myself. The way I figured it, it was what I would do if I could bring myself to actually not care. If that makes any sense at all.
alot of time when this happends to me its like one of my other sides come out and take complet control of me
I can't say i've had that but I have had dreams of past lifes in differant places and times...
I have felt that there maybe an alternate universe. I've not felt a direct connection though.
Vampirone brings up a good question also. Do you think the you of the other universe ever enters out realm?
I have had dreams of myself as a young girl , maybe a teen, in like a medieval period.. not sure how to explain that one. because when i do wake from the dream it is like i was really there and hard to shake that feeling.
