Ok here is my question. When you feed from another vampire does it have a different effect on you. Or is the same as feeding from a human?

Would it be like eating yourself?

Are you talking about the mythological vampire or the modern day?

I cannot imagine an individual the feel they need to siphon "life" be it energy or blood as someone who would then intern give it to another. While one could do it, I would imagine that the prefered method be from a nonvampire.

As to the the mythological... The beast trait might not care about whose blood they took just as long as they were able to satisfy their need. I have seen it done in moves as a mechanism for turning or only in life saving instances.

It seems that another vampire would have the same need as you do and so neither would be satisfied. Maybe if you were feeding off another vampire who has aleady fed?

The problem is that fables vary from one to another. What might constitute as a sexual nature in feeding from one another does not mean that in other stories vampires preyed only on humans.

If one were to feed off of another, it would only create the same issue for the one that the other is curing. It would not be wise to do so, for it would only perpetuate the cycle. But if one were to feed of of another, it wold be a different experience than that of feeding off of a human for vampires make different use of the blood and therefore transmit things to the blood that humans cannot. When that blood is fed upon, the feeder sees and experiences those differences. Yes actually, it is quite different. Vampire... human. different species entirely. appearances are deceptive. take for example shaving cream and whipped cream; They look the same... but they definitely taste different. Vampire blood also has different physical effects, but they vary for each individual. However, it is an interesting source of blood, and it isn't harmful. :)

Blood feeding is equal but psy feeding is bit different cos of auras but it is common

Hmm...I've only read in certain books that a vampire can obtain another vampires strength by feeding on them.

...Of course these books weren't really based on fact...so blah.

I guess one would have to try it to know. I don't think a vampire could surivive by feeding on another vampire, doesn't really make sense...

Ive had that happen once before,but for the other,she was energized greatly, but i felt nothing,mayhaps it has to do with age and strength as well, mine is an old soul,where as hers had only been awakened less than a year.

Well ofcourse I know that one could not survive from drinking the blood of thier own kind.

vampire blood is different from human blood, it's not going to benifit anyone much that is allready a vampire. you can drink it but it doesnt do as much as humans blood.

it is most defenitely different. it is true that no matter the species feeding is a sexual act. when feeding or feeding off of a vampire it heightens it until you are almost required to have sex

with another vampire the extra energy that is exibitted is much more intence then if you were with a human.

I don't see alot of sense in feeding off of another Vampire. They crave what you crave; therefore you would be doing them more harm than good by feeding on them. I suggest you stick with humans; though feeding off another Vampire wouldn't hurt you, I'm not sure of the long-term effects for the doner.

I think that if a vampire drinks from another when wounded or weak gets a
quick charge. Drinking from a human is what keeps them going, especially from a lifemate. But, lol i could be wrong.

I see no good that would come to having one vampire feed off another so I think that yes there would be no effect

OK, I wasn'r originally planning on putting in my 2 cents, but, here goes...

I have fed off plain humans, OtherKin, and Vampires. To me, they all are different, like snowflakes, original, and beneficial in their own ways. Humans, they have energy too. OtherKin, adding in their specific origins, are zesty, lol, well...they are different energy alltogether than humans. Vampires, they are not a waste...each has their own energy too, AND in sharing that blood, a Bond becomes created between you both. I agree that both vampires would recieve feelings from the feeding, but no it ins't always sexual, and it's not limited to just vamps feeling something as donors...all your donors receive reactions from being fed on-poritive or negative (depending on your intent while fedding off them).

A vampire would only feed from another one in order to either save themself, kill the other vampire, or to become the other vampires servant by drinking just a little bit of their blood.

Human blood is human blood, regardless of what the person calls himself. I don't see how feeding from a human differs from feeding from a vampire since, when you get down to brass tacks, they're both physically the same.

That's my thought on it anyway.

I tend to disagree. Vampires are stronger in some ways, and weaker in others compared to humans. Psy Vampires for instance; have more mental and emotional power than Sangs and humans.

But physically, we're all the same, even if mentally and emotionally we are different

Some humans are mentally stronger than others, it doesn't mean they taste any differently.

Were all made up of blood & guts, & in my eyes we'd all taste the same. Reguardless of "mental" abilities which have nothing to do with physical.

Yes I also agree to some extent with Rose. But my point was meant to be that everyone is diffrent on the inside; not always within the blood. But differs in personality when Psy feeding can be a huge impact on the energy you recieve, which is where shielding comes in.

From mythical vampires they have to drink blood because theyre own cant sustain hemaglobin so drinking from another vamp would be of no use but as for what we see as vampires it would be similar to drinking the blood of a non-vamp.

I have the understanding that if you feed on other Vampires, it only sustains you, and is not the same as feeding on fresh blood.

I personally would not feed on my own kind. I think it would be like canabalism.

I have a different effect when I feed from another vampire...like stronger tasting and the effects are stronger.

When i drink from another vampire, i can taste a diffrence in the blood. for me i feel the vampiric energy within te blood

I enjoy feeding on my mate who is Vamperic and he enjoys feeding on me as well.I think it tastes good.But I am only half so maybe thats why.I also enjoy feeding on other vamps I get an extra charge,but thats just me.

As a couple others pointed out real or modern vampires are human no matter what they call themselves. Real vampires will not die if they dont get blood. Real vampires are not a different species so the milk analogy doesnt totally apply. Drinking blood from another vampire is for the most part the same as drinking from anyone else. There is one difference and that is when two vampires feed off each others blood it creates a bond between them and that ritual is common to real, fictional and mythical vampires

I have never drank from another vampire. It's just not something I have ever considered. I don't know why, but it just seems not natural to me. I mean, I guess it would be the same. But, I have used the same donor for a very long time.

i feed on just about anything or person or vampire that I can...but i realize that when i drink a fellow vamps blood that it is more potent and ha more affect on my drunken state from the blood.

I think that the energies are different in the two creatures, however it depends on the vampire as well. Some say that if you feed from an elder then the power is greater and the energies more fulfilling.

The two energies are most diffinately different.There is more of an energy, heat rush when feeding from another vampire.Almost a floaty, drunk feeling sometimes.If the vampire is powerful and an old soul ahhhh pure bliss!

I think that if it is the bloodlife that you are feeding from, then it would be as useful and beneficial as drinking Seawater......

However, if it is the Energylife from which you are feeding, my personal belief is that it can be mutually beneficial.

There was another thread on here i was answering yesterday regarding energies and how they can multiply when shared.
I feel that if you have your energy TAKEN from you, it is difficult to replenish (as RavenKnight rightly indicated). If you take it, then you benefit but leave the donor weakened.....
However, if you SHARE it, then your energy binds with theirs, and multiplies, so that when the redistribution takes place, then you both have more than what you started with.
This is my belief, and based on prior experience of many an energy drain.
I can explain this further, but i am conscious i waffle too much at times.

well i don't think that feeding on other vamps is a right thing....it got no meaning..
the reason to dring human blood is to feed the vampire soul so he can live....i believe that blood is the essence of the soul is the blood without the blood the soul can't live......
but by taking other vampire live the strength will grow up....

It's not the amount of blood, like in a horror movie vamp..it's the energy it carries.We aren't draining anyone, that would be silly.
Feeding from another vampire, from my opinion is preferred.At least from those that I know.

I don't feed physically or form the energy of other vampires without mutual consent.

feeding on another vampire would be like feeding on yourself. the blood is in an already living dead body so the effect would be negated. i think that you would need to feed on a living human

I have had both experiences and I must recognize that have drunk blood from my non-vampire friends has been good (from the ones I know), but I have two vamp friends and when we have shared blood, that's totally different...

i wouldn't of thought it was a problem along as you are not related. just because it would be vampire on vampire doesn't actually mean its wrong. i mean what if you were in love with another vampire

Vampire blood is 10x more potant than human blood, and can be overwelming for the unexperianced fledgling.

i dont know thats a hard question. i guess it depends on whether it's a healthy vampire or not.

I have never had the blood of another vampire. I don't believe that it would be any different from the blood of a human, but I wouldn't know. I don't believe that I am entierly genetically different from humans. I think that blood would be blood.

I would think that a vampire feeding on another vampire would not satisfy neither hungers. For what a vampire craves, is something which they do not have, and that is human blood not more vampire blood.

I feel that feeding from Vampires if blood, could taste different and would not be as 'pure' as human blood.

As most real "sanguinarious" vampires do not take blood by biting, there is no direct contact and no sharing.

However.. psy-vampires Can feed from others I feel, especially as they have higher-states of consciousness & perception.
I feel they could even feed from animals for energy.

I think it all depends on a personnal choice as to do it or not, if you do it, then it does has its limit the same thing as the non vampires, plus I do feed some vampires and get really weak,as I am a vampire myself, I but cannot feed of other vampires, I need a non vampire to feed on.
