Im sure some of you werent finished talking about what you think about phsycics and your stories and ideas about it, so I decided to open a new thread for you to finish this topic.

Do you have a particular thought about psychics?

why do you think they mostly get bad outcomes, when they read you or others?

Happy people don't come back for an update. And off course the chance that the outcome has changed to a good one. Therefore most psychics give back news, people keep coming back in the hopes of better news and the psychics keep making money.

First off, "psychics" is spelled incorrectly in the title of this forum thread.

Secondly, as has been said over and over, there are good psychics and those who are charlatans.

Some people are good at reaiIding expressions, posture and basic features and use those clues to give a false reading. Some might have a better hint at it than others.

It's important to note that not all psychics give bad readings and spell disaster. Some of the charlatans will tell you that if that's what you want to hear.

Of course, and it's to bad that those are the ones that get all the attention. Giving even the ones that do perform a good reading also a bad name.

Psychics may or may not be genuine. I can't rule out the possibility - there are, after all, more things in heaven and on earth etc................... I would say however that there are certainly some charlatans out there who are not psychic and are simply making a rather good living off of the fears and insecurities of their clients.

The bad ones create a healthy skepticism, in my opinion. Though I know my tarot readings can be accurate, I would never want someone to treat a reading as gospel by which to live their lives.

Perhaps the reasoning is that if we know our future, what is there to look forward to? The mystery of the future is what makes today interesting and worth living for. It would be unwise for someone to believe everything that any psychic says.

what do you think attracts someone to go to a psychic?

My dear skarz, people who are desperately seeking answers drive to psychics in flocks. And charlatans many times will prey upon the desperate search for answers.

However, some believe they were sent to humanity with their gift to offer answers, and they are more pure-hearted.

I heard at one time that the correct percent of being correct on a reading is eighty percent. That's higher than guessing.

There are a few that are geniune, and can tell you anything you wish to know.

I've seen on tv..That they put a Phsyic in a cat-scan.And it showed that they use almost 90% of there brains for the uses of that power.The activity of the brain in the cat-scan shows in yellow..and the non active parts are showen in blue.And It was like,the entire brain was almost all yellow!

most are fakes, it hard to find one that truly knows

there are alot of things you can not explain but reading ones future considering the infinit track of life that intersect with a person makes this impoosable and improbable

I got a reading from a psysic and it came true but that does not necessarily mean they all know or that all the reading are exactly correct.

Psychics don't guess. A fake one can still take into account some aspects. Certainly if you make an apointment. They could have the time to research a person.

this is my theory on psychics 1. good people that are psychics help people freely and are afraid to let anyone know they really are psychic. 2. bad people that are psychic go after real money not penny ante money from a $10 reading and are afraid to let anyone know they really are psychic. I believe that anyone that claims to be psychic and then wants to charge money to prove it isn't psychic.

I believe that there are some people who have a gift that enables them to look into the future and know what will happen. However some people may not truly appreciate this gift as they dont always want to hear what their destiny has in store for them, they would just prefer to let events unfold.

Different psychics work different ways. Not all are clairvoyant. And even those that are need to interpret what they are seeing in the three eye to the person setting in front of them. It is not cut and dry. And this is what some say is guessing. They're not guess but trying in convert one message coming from one world to another. It is not easy and people need practice doing it. So many will charge small fees so they can get that practice. Try working with the public and see what happens.

There's only one that I believe is genuine anymore, at least of those in the public eye. The rest have been proven, or prove themselves to be fake. I'm sure that there are people with a genuine gift but the fakes make it hard on everyone.

my mother went to a bar once and there was a psychic there. He told her things that have come to pass and things that haven't happened yet or may never happen. I found it odd that everything that he said about the family has happened but outside of the family hasn't happened yet.

I know two people in real life who are no doubt psychic it can be very weird at time cause they will tell you about things and next thing you know BAM it is happing I wish I could develop powers like that

I dont trust psychics because most of them are charlatans...And now the true psychics have to suffer because of the fakes.....

I'd go by one someday, but only for the fun of it.
And paying for it, well I'll have to think it over. Because I know lots of other things that I'm certain of to spend it on.

And doesn't knowing your future also help you go into that direction? So that what the psychic told automatically comes true.

Check out Allison Dubois, She is a true medium and has a couple books out... We are their heaven and Don't kiss them goodbye... She has worked with Arizona's DA on many cases and solved a lot of unsolved crimes...John J Oliver is another True medium along with Carla Baron.. They work with with known paranormal expert Patrick Burns.. You can catch their show on Court TV it is called Haunting Evidence.. as well as Psychic Detectives.....This is for the skeptics....

Psychics don't use 90% of their brain. The average human uses approximately 10% I believe. Such a large discrepancy had better make the 100% accurate 100% of the time. Are you sure the study didn't state that they use 90% more of their brain than the average person? That seems more reasonable to me.

Honestly, I don't believe in psychics and I don't think I ever will. It's a very good way of stealing money from people though.

i believe that sylvia brown is a true psychic.... but there are alot of ppl who say that they are for a money scam.... the truth is... either you are born with the sight or you are not.... and its a great gift so ppl are gonna lie and say that they have it....

Count Vitus, Enjoy them I think you find her books quite knowledgeable.. Great reading material....She is the real deal despite what other's say... She is not in it for the money like those phony mediums, she was born with her gift as well as her 3 daughter's her husband Joe is a rocket scientist believe it or not.. To get a feel for her you can catch the tv series Medium on wednesday nights... Patricia Arquette plays her role....

I know a woman who says she's a psychic and to her credit she actually has a large client base...many of my friends go to her for readings and they don't get negative readings they say...this woman has foretold them of events that came to pass and also spoke about events that had already happened...what I'm trying to say is that not all psychics as I have heard give bad news...I wouldn't go back to one that did...that's just me though...:)

I have a friend who can do readings.Although she is more accurate after she's been drinking. She is right about things for the most part,ie she told me I would meet someone at work and we would start a relationship.She knew that their nickname would be three letters long,and she also knew I would be moving in like two months.

You know what bugs me? The fact that I can see things that will happen yet I can do nothing to change them. I have always looked at my gift as a way of coping with bad things that will happen. If you see it before it really happens it gives you the extra time to cope with it. But some times I just wish I could change it.....

Yes some are real. As for asking money for it i beleve the real should. It drains you puts you in a space which is hard to shake off. Sometimes it is fun other times its not . Seeing the hurt or death . Maybe seeing a life that goes no where . Becareful for what you wish for.

I think a very few may have true psychic abilities and then a few people are just good at convincing others of what they think.

a true psychic usually wont ask for money or a fee, they will receive it becuase the poeple they are talking to or helping will want to offer them something. The do not do it for the money, still everyone has bills and need to eat. As for the fake ones well they live in big houses with awsome cars and most fo them have their tv shows.

I believe that there are the real psychics and fake. I do not know enough about either one of them to make an accurate account of this however. It would seem that the fake ones would be the ones who were out there trying to make money out of giving people their fortunes *shrugs*

I believe in them myself. I have seen that most psychics are portrayed as women, could that be because women have a stronger bond with earth? Not sure on that one but it is a thought.

I think 99% of psychics are fakes, and they ruin it for the other 1%...

i think that psychics are relied upon too much which is probably why they carry such a burden. if more people took control of their own situations then they would not depend on psychics so much and psychics would be of more use because they could focus better on one doilemma at a time.

My uncle's first fianc'e was murderd but before they knew she was dead she was missing..they searched every where for her body..they found her car abandoned on the side of the rode..for weeks the search went on..then my mom decided that they should try a psychic...so they did..the psychic told them that she was dead and that her body was lying in a ditch..6 miles from her car. Long story short they found her dead body in a ditch 6 miles from her car just like the psychic said. Thats pretty freaky..

I had a pleasant experince as a teenager, and it restored my faith in them, I went to a home of an older women i had never seen before, a friend took me to see her, she was very charming and sweet, she just would look at you as if seeing in your soul, and talk with you. During the conversation, she told me things about myself that i only i knew, i had never discussed with anyone, it ran chills through me, she kept saying that she saw something in my eyes, she wanted to look somethings up and i needed to return, only she had a massive stroke and i never found out what it was, but later on, recently i discovered I am an elemental witch, and i truly believe that is what she saw. Not all of them are money hungry, or fakes, she never asked for one cent, and really reach inside of me.

I find it hard to believe that they are real, I tend to lean towards the aspect that Psychics are great observers of people and get their information from the responses and reactions of the people that they are talking to.

psychics/mediums are rare....too many people claim they are but are merely shams

The readings I give are usually very accurate.
I dont charge as the people I know who are in need are usually broke.
Out of thanks they bring something like a jar of coffee or cake, that's fine by me.
If you know anyone loaded and they would like a reading............lol

i believe in psychics and enjoy the things that they know but i feel it is wrong to charge money for them to do a certian thing i always looked at it as abusing ones gift for profit

I beleive people go to them because they want awnsers to things they dont understand....
