Ok I talk to my friends all the time about vampires and creatures. They think that im crazy and that they dont exist. I am a curisoue person. I dont care what others thinkI am curisoue and love to find things out the hard way.
Well I was talking to some people and they wondered if It hurt to be sired or if it was a horribel exsperince. I told them I would tell them when it happens to me. THey looked at me like I was crazy.
What I want to know is does it hurt?
Is it somthing you have to prove yourself to get?
Do you have to do any tests??
not that I know of, but I dont see why your friends would think weirdly of it, belief is what makes us who we are
to be sired is gain with experience and time, its not given its gain, it takes long time and lots of experience, that way one can become a Sire and transmit its knowledge and experience to the younger ones,
Do your friends believe in a God?
Do they believe in Aliens?
If they DO.. they are ONLY being hypocritical for mocking you for believing in what you DO.. only you can see YOUR belief!
As for the pain... if it is something you have to face.. Then embrace it.. I had 2 babies.. yet it hurt, but I knew what I was getting at the end of it. as you will, with the Sire.
I am not certain if it DOES hurt, but If I was to go for it, I'd embrace it for everything that it is.
Don't worry about what your friends think, you are entitled to have any religion and belief, that you wish. Show your friends/family it makes you happy and complete.
I have never been sired but i would think even if it did hurt their was something good comming out of it...
true it will be well worth it dont care what others think
I think we all have to deal with our own fact and fiction.
I am not surprised your friends think you odd.....welcome to the fringe lol
Personally I do not think that one person can make annother anything, except perharps a little wiser by sharing knowledge.
most of the people may think that our beliefs are wrong or we are crazy, just because they don't bother themselves in finding what to believe... or maybe they can't defend their own beliefs either...
my own experience was very different... and i feel i was sired if that's the word... and it didn't hurt... until i realized... if you want me to tell you more you can message me... :)
I believe being sired is a way of passage.. Like being suspended in the air ( with spikes , peircings) as in some ancient rituals.. As far as the pain.. If there is pain I would say its a benefit and help cleanse you for your future indevors
That is the mystery of life, I do believe blood drinkers exist and some even say they can fly. It is a fun open minded subject to talk about for it is one more mystery life holds.
Depending on your belief, you can be sired, or awakened, or committed. Since the provable facts surrounding vampirism are few and since metaphysics or the supernatural is involved, it's not unfair or even unlikely for someone to think you crazy for your belief. However, since many people believe in an all powerful invisible sky wizard (God), I would say that your crazy isn't much worse than anyone else's crazy.
I was born the way I am. What exactly do you mean by sired?
Hey hun tell them you have an imagination and that you love to fuel it. People who don't have imagination are dead inside. =] You're not. And who knows tell them it's probably true.
Technically you don't need a sire to become awakened. It is nice to have someone to teach you how to get through the bloodlust and things like that. It's hard to explain in a simple reply to a forum thread. I talked to my "sire" for days before deciding that I was truly a vampire. But I will never regret it.
Well like I said it may just be a chosen ritual .. as many here have stated someplaces have different names for being sired ..or not to be at all
Most ppl count it as crazy but it interest me and once something interest me I won't stop because I'm consider a freak its my world and thats wut I prefer
I like the response about having an active imagination.
I was discussing this topic with my own Sire/Mentor only yesterday. We've known each other since we were both far less wise, and we have seen the practice of the Embrace (ritualistic initiation, not actual turning) go out of style as it were. Either for lack of good teachers, or becuse people have simply come to distrust the forms of secret societies, there are more and more people who simply declare that they are vampires and go about their lives without any formal Siring at all.
p.s. Fangs hurt--ALOT! Blades, as much as you'd expect, and teensy needles or lancets are just a pin prick. Get tested, and remember you are what you eat. *lol* (okay that last was sarcasm)
if you set your mind to it so much then anything you think or believe is real will become real to you
you are receiving a death of the mortal kind and receiving an immortal soul being sired is both a great loss of what you once had but yet a great feeling of pleasure for what you will soon know of and adventure in.
if you set your mind to it so much then anything you think or believe is real will become real to you , it all comes back to what someone believes in. If some one does not believe then they assume you are crazy or stupid. Do not worry about what others think just what you truely believe in.
Ultimately everyone wears a mask of some kind. THat is how we shield ourselves from the hurt others might cause us if they knew all our secrets. Be who you are, and learn to show the approproate face to those who are prepared to see it.
One cannot be"turned" or "sired" that is in the movies and comp.games. one either is or is not a vampire.
I believe we are born that way.
I agree with Minx and most of the rest..I too have friends and family thinking i am crazy but what i have come to decide it is my life and i know who and what i am..doesnt matter what anyone else says..Hypocrites are everywhere's..
being sired only hurts if you have a low pain tolerence....... so it depends on the person to figure out if it hurts or not
Honey, don't listen to your friends. We all have different beliefs. If they think you're crazy, then that's their problem. But the pain of being sired only depends on pain tolerance(as others have said).
well personally if your friends are crazy, then it sounds like they are not good friends to be around
but as to being sired, i dont think that it would hurt at all, just a strange feeking that something is changing in you
I concur, It's the benefit that counts, correct?
Your friends need to open they're minds and think alittle bit.
People automatically turn their brains off at stuff they dont want to hear.
i think you should tell your friends that its what you believe and they should except that. i believe that they do exsist.i have never personally met one but i still believe.
p.s. I cant spell lol
this is a personal experience that i feel that is hard to describe and you will know only by being sired by someone of that vampiric nature
The answer isn't something that anyone can tell you unfortunatly. The test you want is if you can make a stand, and say "I am me, and part of me is a vampire" If the demand a form of proof there is nothing that would accept, not your gifts, not your magick, and not the blood. If they demand things and berate who you are in your essence, then nothing good will come of their relationship to you.
Even if they are good friends, they are only connections that you have to support your idea of self. If they do not support you, then what business do they have saying that you are not something, who are they to say? what makes them so expert that know what is in your soul, when you are alone in the middle of the night reflecting on your heart of hearts?
I've heard that it stings or burns through out your body for a few days. But I don't know.
I believe to sire a vampire you would first have to be a true vampire, and the only person who could tell you what it feels like to get sired would have to be a real vampire, so good luck finding one...
For everything that is worth in life you most pay some cost. One thing you can pay in is pain just as if you want a tattoo to be done right and last forever you must wait out the pain. I cannot fully explain if painful or not for I have little memory but if it is worth getting you will have to pay a price
Who cares what others think. My friends know "I'm crazy" ,they let me be me. Will it hurt, most things do. Think of the end result :]
yeah; it probably will hurt but.. everything hurts, and like they said , think of the end result. what the pain brings, if you want it. get it. forget the pain; if it's worth it.
and they think you're crazy over your beliefs? heh, that's nothing. they can get over themselves, my bestfriend believes in god; I believe in vampires, demons and etc like that, but I don't believe in god or the devil.
so yeah, they just gotta get over themselves.
Your friends shouldn't think you're wierd, because everyone is entitled to believe what they want to. Be it God, Vampires or even Unicorns..
Also I would like to experience that as well, and I also wonder if it would hurt. The responses on here have been helpful, thankyou all for your input.
if your so called friends have az problem with something that is of your beliefs or interests and with them they think u are weired.. &%%$ them and go on with your self
not that I know of, but I dont see why your friends would think weirdly of it, belief is what makes us who we are
Forget what your friends think. That's my theory.
As for being sired, I would think that the pain will be worth it. Something good will come out of the pain.
I always thought sired was a Masqurading term (if I'm wrong burn me) but its a long story (vampires) yes it is. Although I've heard of energy work, or rather where a psychic vampire takes enough energy from you that you become a vampire of sorts (vampire as in taking energy or a certain kind, that sustains you) Sang- they get energy from your blood and whatnot. I never knew if there was a way to turn someone by just taking blood (IF I'm wrong, forgive me, I don't know otherwise)
This is just what I think (think I know) if people think otherwise, its just my musings.
** I say this because people jump up and bite on the forums soo.....yup...
yea i agree with FenixBloodLust...belief does make us who we are and i really dont think it'd hurt
I dont think you are weird when I was younger I wanted to know if this things did exist or have exist
Who you are makes u who you are cant change that.. so I dont see that it cant hurt
I think ur friends are kinda strange themselves!!! Ask wat they believe in and then ask why do they believe that!!! lol. I dont mean to sound rude if I do, but you and they just has to follow ther own heart. Im not a goth, technically im catholic but I dont follow it much. I believe wat I believe I dont believe in just one religion. I get mad at my family because they think Im weird also. All of my family is catholic except my mother. She is in some religion called Ocha, which originates from Cuba (its old religion). They believe in different gods, sacrificing animals to feed these gods... and other stuff. All Im saying is that dont go trying to find ur religion if u are.. jus believe in ur own thoughts, because you should know every religion will have some truth, and lies... and that you should be curious of what is going on around you, instead of religions fighting eachother because of something they believe. I know this probably has nothing to do with your question, Im kinda babbling... but it is something to think about... so.. umm ya!!!

I would think being sired pain or no pain whatever I had to go through would be worth it.
Enjoy and embrace being you. Life in our world is about accepting differences in others and ourselves!
I agree...everyone has an opinion...if your friends don't support you then their not real friends. you can not believe in something your friend or loved one thinks or does but support them nonetheless..that's what makes a real friend.
I haven't been sired, but I do see why people would think that you are strange for talking about it, some people want to know about this kind of stuff yet others shrink away from it and call it scary because they don't understand it.
with living vampires you don't have to be sired, you can have a self awakening. You can be sired though and depending how its done it may or may not hurt. A key thing is to do research on the different ways to feed. being a donor for or a vampire that drinks blood can be risky because of blood born disease so both involved should be tested before hand. With energy feeding it is generally painless and you don't have to worry about disease, but not everyone can do it. The biggest thing I would caution against is letting someone bite you to sire you or feed from you as this is one of the most dangerous and painful ways, plus it can cause permanent scars.
I was sired when i was 15-16 years old but i was already in to the whole vampire life i new I need something in my life but didnt know what till i tasted blood for the frist time from anothere I have sired also but i'm still learning myself all the ways.
To be sired is a great honor, & any Vamp with self respect will not sire you until you prove that U r deserving of it....A true vamp will only sire those who desire death but quest for a new Life. I've only sired 2 deserving ladies & a true vamp has got to "feel" your blood pulsing with desire, otherwise u will be used as a quick snack, or a quick fix! If a feeding hurts then u are not ready, it should bring u great pleasure & u will be in a state of extasy when your blood is drawn, I was sired by "Trista" when I was 14 & it took her 3 times before I felt pleasure from it & actually fed from her... my advice is to be patient & wait for the desire to come 2 U....I've said more than I should about this subject & will continue no more, but good luck in your search...
*What I want to know is does it hurt?
Your flesh is pierced. Yes, it hurts.
*Is it somthing you have to prove yourself to get?
That may depend on the Vampire.
*Do you have to do any tests?
That may also depend on the Vampire.
to be sired is to gain knowledge and guidence. to be awakened is knowing you were meant to walk this path. Most it is always there but you awaken after a life changing event, be true to who you are, it really doesn't matter what your friends think.
Awakening is a term that described the physical and mental changes that occur when someone awakens and discovers he is Otherkin.
The awakening typically occurs during or shortly after the onset of puberty, but in some cases can occur much later around the thirties or even forties.
In the case of Sanguinarians and Psi vampires, the person undergoing the awakening will be altered physically and mentally.
These changes often include an increased sensitivity to light and particularly to sunlight, a growing affinity for night and darkness, having one's circadian rhythm become inverted and switching from a nocturnal to a diurnal sleeping schedule, and experiencing the first symptoms of the thirst.
Many experience acute feelings of isolation and alienation during this process, as their changing nature distances them increasingly from their "normal" family and friends.

I myself wouldn't know if it hurt but I don't see y ur friends would think ur weird. Vampirism isn't a weird thing.
