Many have the accounts of this story. of a werewolf, Dog man in the area of Wisconsin. i seen a TV segment last night on this were the people had lie detector tests on their own sightings and was told that they did not lie. So is this an actual lycanthrope story or just a made up bear story.
My question is do people believe this to be an actual account or a fable or myth that was produced by mass histeria.
I love a good story....do you have any links or anything so I may have a read up of it?
It's ok...I just found one...
http://www.beastofbrayroad.com/
tyop here we go
http://www.prairieghosts.com/brayrd.html
I saw the movie on the Sci-Fi channel
The Beast of Bray Road...the movie was weak...doubt there is such a thing.
Wow, just read the link and I really don't know what to make of it. These people had nothing to gain in lying so maybe it is possible? What about the myth of their having to be a full moon? I don't know....
I've read the links and I'm still not convinced, I remain an unsociable skeptic....
on this one I would not be able to say because I have never heard of this story.
it could just be that they have convinced themselves that it is true and thats the reason they passed a lie detector test. who is to say if its true or not, they believe what they saw and thats really all that matters, not what anyone else thinks
Mass hysteria can be very powerful!
I don't think anyone is lying about it. They honestly believe they saw this creature. I believe that there may be a very large dog or wolf that has been sighted. It's unusual size or appearance may be the cause of all the excitement.
i think there could be.. you never know. a 100 years ago they said the panda was a myth
It's one of those things I'd love to be true....but....I can't honestly say I'm convinced.....though the person who just posted about the panda does have a point.
Well...there are some strange and unexplained things in this world.
I don't believe in it. I think people could believe they saw what they did, but the mind does like to play tricks.
just amazes me that all who seen this say they walk on two legs, i know a movie was made but yet hollywood put a twist on it. There are things yet explained on this planet. so we will what and see.
Actually "The Beast of Bray Road" was a movie on the Sci-Fi Channel
I believe that many mythes like this one do have roots in fact. As you said it could have been a bear but because they belive its was some thing else they can pass the lie detector test. They already had the myth in mind and there for saw what they wanted to see there for there mind makes it mind over matter and myth becomes fact.
I've seen at least two shows about the unexplained that talked about the Beast of Bray Road. One of them was Animal X.
I can't deny or prove that it exists, but there is much we don't know about the world we live in.
This can be true. There are alot of sightings out there of weird things so who knows
well you all know how society is today more than likely it's nothing but a myth, something they'd like 4 us to all believe
Anyone can pass a lie detector test if they truely believe in something, truth or not. If someone truely believes they saw bigfoot, even if in reality it was a bear or some funky hunter, they will pass the lie detector test.
The test does NOT detect truths or lies, it detects the bodys unconsious reaction when telling a lie.
I know of someone who worked for a store, stole probably thousands of dollars worth of merchandise. When owners saw that inventory was short, they had all employees take lie detector tests. This person passed with flying colors. When I asked her how she did it, she said she thought of christmas, her kids, anything else but what they were asking her about. When someone phrased 'Did you steal from your employers' she thought of 'Did you steal from your children' so when she answered no, she truely believed she had never stolen 'from her children'.
To be honest I have never heard of it or even seen the movie. I think Hollywood has a lot to answer for in regards to ppl seeing things and causing panic. War of the Worlds showed how easy it is to make ppl believe in something that isnt true. However on the other hand we are discovering new and wonderful things everyday so who knows it could be fact. I will never write something off.
Maybe it is a bad case of hormones and the bloke grew hair everywhere? Talking about wolves, did you all see the photos and movies of the white wolves they found in Canada?
I personally believe that anything is possible. This world is a large place with much to be discovered. Why could it not be possible for something of this nature to exist. I dont know I read the articles.. and will be researching more as I love to learn of new things.. whether they be fact or fiction. Most interesting though I might say..
There are lots of stories about these types of creatures. Lots of sightings only problem is they have not been really caught on film. So who knows
The very title of this thread suggests fiction, but it won't stop intrigue or speculation on the matter. Isn't that fascinating.
very interesting story,i'll have to look into it and see if i can find more on it
I don't know personally but both websites were great cadrewolf and bloodlfe...
Looks like its another one for the Crypto guys..cause that dude in that vid? wow,he cant even find his way much less a beast ! LOL
People can sometimes get confused with what they see mainly because of some of the crap that they grow up watching on TV. I f someone really believes that they seen this thing then of course there going to pass a lie detector test because in there mind it is real.
thats true nks but...i know i have seen things for real and it wasnt cause of the way i grew up...it is like a new door opened for me and well things happen..it is weird and i do believe in the unknown and that anything is possible
This is the first time I've heard of this but I'm actually kind of skeptical. We have piles and piles of 'supernatural' creatures like Big Foot and the Loch Ness monster but all there have been are stories and no hard evidence. Nonetheless, I'm still interested so I'm off to read more of this thing.
interesting. i had never heard of this before now. nice video link.
its prooobably fake. but you can never really know, can you?
It's 'mysteries' like these that keep supernatural lore going, more so because its inexplicability only attracts more discussion and speculation.
