I dont think they have any special powers

well I know that they possess several powers but they are hollywood only.. True vampires do not have powers that the y posses just as well truly have no powers to speak of just as do not speak of our abilities unless you consid all things..

well, on one hand, we have the classic holywood vampires, who were able of flying, they were immortal and their eyes were so alluring that if you looked at them you felt like hypnotized... *sighs* and on the other, well, modern vampires, have no special powers at all, unless of course some of us work in special abilities, like mind reading, or any work with energy... or things of the sort.

I feel that RaineVampire has said it well enough.. Speaking of the Modern day Vampires of today's society.. I mean we all as humans have certain abilities that we possess and use them for whatever purpose..

No Devina, you were correct with your previous post in my opinion. As any "real" vampire would not let just anyone in on what they consider to be distinct "abilities".

Ty my friend I wasn't sure if it came cross the way it was suppose to. I am a firm believer in that.. Most true anything Keep their abilities to them selves not bragging about what they are capable of doing..

I know that I do not brag or fully tell anyone what I am nor the extent of my abilities because I feel that I do not have to prove anything to anyone..

I think this answer depends on wheather you are talking about real vampires or holly wood's vampires. I think the list of holly wood vamps abilies is rather long... while with real vamps I think it depends on the individual. (just as with humans) But I do feel that if you consider the psy vamps, their abilites most probably would have a lot to do with, or a lot of help from, energy.

all i can say is that psychic abilities are a part of some vampires culture depends on what you study and what is apart of you, for example i have been a part of the Wicca Community for about 7 years now. and i have preformed and witness things out of the "normal" (as i should call it). so some vampire do have abilities. but with the no reflection and garlic and all that shadow casting, breath that can knock you out, flitting, and turning into mist, and being trapped by running water, can not be touched by sunlight or die, and crosses, and holy water and all that other vampire myth is all yip jippy jabber. They say only way to kill a vampire is a wooden stake through the heart. with all of the shit they made up i dont even see how you would be able to even get close to a vampire to do that. if he can hear for mile away how can you sneak up on him? lol

Well they obviouisly have some powers if they know he right spot where to bite.
It all so takes a certain amt. of power to transfer energy.

I am sure vampires posses many abillities, among wich is the famous abillity of levitation.

Not to mention other very powerful abilities of hipnosis, and superhuman strenght, and agillity, and speed wich are helping a vampire to survive in this overy scrutinising world of today.

If they did exist they have a uncanny abilty to keep their presence a secret. Due to the fact that their presence hasn't been proven or unproven.

well i dont no for a fact but i did watch some tv and seen what the vampire does.. . he uses strenge and liur all the girls with his special eye powers..

Speed and swiftness are lumped in there some where..

I can't speak for anyone else but I've always been really good at seeing in the dark,a increditable sense of hearing, and a real good ability to read someones expression's but then again that's me.

in hollywood they have been glorified as having super human strength & so many other powers.in reality i only see two beneifts for them,enhanced phermones to attract food & mates,than there pain receptors in there brains would be higher in tolerance than a normal humans.

i feel the real life ones have the ability to be alluring and cunning to get their donors . yet in Hollywood they of course are the almighty immortal and have every power you can imagine LOL

Only the count himself would have power and the only thing I can think of is the one where he make people do what ever he wants I can't remember the name of it though.

Beings created to scare us should have as many nasty powers as possible.Otherwise we could easily disregard the notional threat.I like the projected possibility of vampires that can instill madness,other ideal powers look in any Vampire the Masquerade character book and you will find levels and powers listed all are likely to exist if you are a believer.

I agree with Devina in that vampires and any creature of ability is not likely to divulge its capability ... but Dabbler is correct in how to find out what powers they may/would have for those that would be interested.

As I have never met a real vampire all I know is what I have seen in movies or read in a book. Those powers are extreme speed, mind reading, hypnosis and hovering.

Only the aged vampires have this ability Tje decay of the body would likely create a decrease in weight.

Young vampires like dream warriors need to learn to activate their abilities.

Real vampires...hmm...I'm sorry, I have no thoughts other than this. WHO CAME UP WITH THE PYROKENISIS THING?! I mean, c'mon, when (in legends) vampires are touched by the sun their skin is burned...So, how would they be able to use fire? Nevertheless summon it? It makes no logical sense...even though this is an illogical subject, but still.
