alright so Far we are looking at a BBQ style get togeather,

either in Houston or San Antonio

we are looking to do it in NOV so that a member that is over in IRAQ can come home and make it.

and we have a question, do we want this kid friendly!

I have my twins and would love to bring them.

I think it would be cool, if they can come.

Well you all have soem like major fun because I can go anywhere but I am deploying august 23 rd so yeah maybe next yr or something when I get back.


But a place I had in mind I mean san antonio for the reason being I mean you do have feista texas there one and two beer and alcohol are more in supply plus it is awesome and you guys can go on rides or whatever.

Just a idea.

I think that is why y'all can't come up with a plan because texas is to spread and all these people want to go but nobody either can't or won't come the length to do it.

Well like I said I am deploying just trying to bring a little wisedom here because I want this to succeed for the most part.

And sometimes somethings have to be said and some dont want to do it so I thought I would.

So it would be easier for you all planning.

But yea I think there should one in Dallas one in Houston one in San Antonio so people won't have to drive over so much damn Texas lol I know if I had a car I wouldn't wanna drive 6 or 7 hours just for a bite to eat say hey to people from the internet have a beer or two and turn around and drive back home lol

Ya, I see the point about Texas being so big we need more than one and you know they don’t all have to be at the same time pick 3 different dates and that way everybody that wants to can go to all of them or just 2 or just the one close to them

Here are some ideas I had that if you want use other wise just ignore them

One for a first meet up something like a club is maybe too much after all you want to be able to talk to these people with out going horse the next day so maybe something between a restaurant and a bar some where that if things don’t work out everybody can still have fun and not have to be around the rest unless they want to

And maybe somebody from each area that wants to have a meet up maybe they should just set it up and tell everybody when and where and remember some people have to schedule vacation times or just let there bosses know before hand so tell everybody with enough time to spare

Ok now remember these are just ideas do with them as you wish

Sounds good for whatever you plan. Just let me know what the dates are and where. Just bought 2 new vehicles and ready to drive. Bought them on leave. They changed my dates for leave. Still getting back the 1st part of Nov 2009.

Well in between would consist of New Braunfels, Seguin, San Marcos, Austin, and a few others...so then it's a matter of what everyone's up for. I don't have a ride though...so I'd either have to find a friend that might be up for it and it would have to be kid friendly if I could go.

well people we have roughly two months and some change to get this organized so lets see if we cant come to a decision

why not have 2, or even 3? Texas is huge, I think we could pull of one in Houston and one in San Antonio at the same time and the spirit of the thing would still make it worth it. I am in Waco, but with the way I drive either is good with me.

Then after picking the offical meet up city whether they can make it or not you need to think of like three places to go to.

Also need to keep in mind that not everyone has a lot of money to go to places that would cost a lot of money....and when are y'all having this thing? I see no set dates only choices in where it should be held at lol

My unit leaves for Iraq and Afghanistan November 17th - 20th.
None of us will be able to make it.

I need one month in advance to try to get the time off and again I think we need to have at least 2 meetings in 2 different places. I can get to Dallas or the Houston area but that would help ppl out who can't go that far
