I also wanted to add that no addresses will be posted they will only be sent to those members that are participating in this card exchange.

OKies I have everyone except i think there were a few of you in the last couple of posts that I dont have addresses for.

Also I wanted to point out that there are a few people that can not afford to send out actual cards and asked if it would be ok to send e-cards.

I do not have an issue with that at all, As times are hard right now. So for those that are sending e cards I suppose sending them to us via VR would be just fine.

As for everyone else, just a few more days and you will have your list of names.

I think next year it would be cool to do a secret santa with the same idea we have hear, make a list like we do now and pair people up. I did that for many years and ya know what I kind of miss it. It;s too late to do it this year so who thinks it would be fun to do next year ?

I just came in, and sent my info. I can't wait it sounds like so much fun, secret santa sounds fun.

They shouldn't be on the list if they are just going to send out e-cards though, right? People put themselves on the list so they get get cards back... that's what the 'exchange' is all about. I can foresee some being upset that they've spent money on cards and stamps to get nothing in return. I don't know...

There's something different about snail mail- it takes effort and is far more personal. An e-card isn't any different than what we're already doing here posting in forums and sending PMs. I wouldn't put my name on this list if I could not afford cards and stamps. I'm making an effort and commitment to all on the list.

I agree with images... And if they can't afford anything, the dollar store sells boxes of 25 cards for like $2.
Anywho, the Secret Santa thing sounds awesome. Would we be able to send out small gifts or just cards?

Yes I have thought about what you have said regarding some of members that wanted to be able to send ecards because they have come upon hard times but still wanted to be apart of this fun and caring Card exchange. And I know you were not being snotty about it either. And my conclusion to this would be that for those that do not feel like they do want to send cards to those that can only do e cards, that is your choice.


Now as for the secret santa if you want to do the secret santa let me know - send me an email and I will compile a list put everyones name in a fish bowl and pair up peoplpe that way - but this will have to be done rather qucikly.
