Anyone who has played, never played recently, or never played period can start playing... I want to start a campaign online.

This can be done through Skype with 4-5 people or Stickam with 5 or more poeple... please if you are interested send me a message and I will let you know whats going on...

Also, if you have no clue what D&D is, please message me if you want to know. I don't care if I play with a party of people that this is their first time playing... it will still be fun!

You wouldn't need a cam... but you will need a mic. You dont even need dice or books... these can be found online. I have the Players Handbook(PH), PH2, Monster Manual(MM), and the Dungeon Masters' Guide(DMG). I also have 1 set of dice that I will roll with.

Really depends on the time and day ie if you did it mon- thrusday it would be bad for me Fri-sun ok depending on the time.

i do currently play online with set of other people so at this time i don't have the time to start another campaign online but i can give you some help with how to play online better. This is what my group does we do use skype as our communication but also we use something called gametable 2.0 which allows you to draw a map of what the palyers should be seeing. Also allows for you to see what is rolled, of course you can make it private if necessary. Also each person who is going to play needs to have it installed to the computer. Have fun for those who are joining in.

I love D&D and have been looking for good group to play in for 6 months now and for a RELIABLE Dungeon Master! I'm in if you will have me. I haven't played in a few years but I can brush up on the net. Just need to know what rules we would be playing. Thanks and I hope you'll have me!

My husband (Fireydragon) was thinking about a survival type D&D the rules for rolling and encounters are the same but the goal is to survive hence why it is called survival. You must operate and run a town effectively as well as have some type of trade to make money so on and so forth.

An update for those who have spoken with me to play D&D. I will be hosting the game Sunday nights starting at 8:00 pm C.S.T. and the game will last 2.5hours. The first week we will roll characters and start the campaign if we have time.

I will be playing 4.0 rules and have no tolerance for people who want to fudge their rolls to "survive".

THE GAME IS FUNNEST WHEN YOU HAVE TO THINK YOUR WAY OUT OF SOMETHING NOT HIT YOUR WAY OUT!

to help this along, i once Dm'd a game using skype and i found the program screenmonkey helpful especially since you are playing 4.0, it is a map program and it also has a die roller in the chat so there would be no fudging of rolls, it does take time to set up and become acclimated to, so if you use it i wouldn't count on much actual playing that first session.

I love D&D and to come back to a game would be great. Somebody else posted about webcam mic's and there is also the time difference. I really loved those days, just the bunch of people doing anything possible with no more than a few dice and our imagination. I am unsure how that buzz could ever be repeated online. The small things in a group session, such as who stole my slice of pizza, that was my Pepsi and "no, you did not roll the d12 to get that" situation.
