It has been a great day even if plans were regularly thwarted.
We got up this morning, had a nice coffee this morning before deciding we'd hit the apartment's hot tub. Got all decked out in swim attire and walked on over to it, but found it locked up. Apparently it is shut down for the next couple of days for cleaning and re-licensing. Blah.
Walked home, took care of some business. Seven had to play a little catch up from being gone for a week, and then we were going to venture out and run some errands as well.
We planned to go to a park and enjoy the afternoon together outdoors. Doesn't that sound like a fun way to spend a nice spring day? Well we got to the park, sat down on a bench infront of the lake. It was pretty and there were lots of people out taking there dogs for walks or just soaking in the beautiful day.
And then the wind blew... and the most gawd awful stench blew right towards us- geese poo. Oh my god it was soooo freakin stinky. We lasted a whole two minutes before hightailing our ass out of that park.
Afterwards, we drove around for a bit before pulling over for a couple of yummy lattees. I had my reservations about McCafe but it turned out pretty tasty.
All in all it was strange but interesting day. Oh how I had missed 7 the last week. It was great to be back together and even if our plans had been foiled, just being together made it a wonderful day in my book.
Woooooooooooooohoooo Seven is safely in the U.S. again.

WELCOME HOME SEVEN!
I know youre super happy right now Meeper.
good!!!! was starting to worry a lot, now feels better, good!!! ^^
Still a 7hr drive away but Seven is in route!
:D
Glad she is back, and safe. :) Give her a hug home for me.
So glad she's safe and will soon be home. Now you have a reason to cook again :)
Woke up and made a cassarole that should feed me a few meals and great to just pack up in a lil bowl and take to work. It was a turkey stuffing kit that came in a box and it turned out pretty good :)
Now to watch the thunderstorm for a bit before heading out. I sure do love those flashy bolts of lightning.
I now understand how I was so skinny when I younger. I was single and didn't cook lol
Today I ate a couple handfuls of dry captain crunch, a cup of chicken noodle soup, and a granola bar.
It's hard to cook for just one; it’s easy to also just push it off till later, but later never comes. Today was also the crazy 9-11:50 class and 12-9 work schedule, so fitting in meals isn't the easiest to do. Sure I've got the hour at 4 for break, but a power nap sounded more refreshing than food. Now that I'm home, there are things I could cook. I could make a casserole and eat for the next couple of days, but will I? I doubt it.
I'll at a minimum eat a vitamin before I hit the sack. Juice sounds really good to me right now.
I want to curl up in bed, but I have to be a good puppy mommy and give my girl some attention first. Then I will be collapsing into bed to read about positioning products and dream up a new or improved service/product for the first part of the term assignment. It's not due till Sunday, but I'd like to stay ahead of curve.
Off I go to find Murphy the black the sheep and give Maddy some play time.

Take your day off, if such a thing actually exists in this day and age, especially with your schedule, and cook. Stay home, pick a few of your favorite simple recipes (casseroles are good for this) and make 2 or 3. Then package single servings in tupperware, and freeze. Then you have your own nuke'em meals for work and whatever..
3 days down 7 to go
Your voice echoes in my head though you are far away. I turn on the TV or the radio, but the silence is never really covered. The laughter, the banter, and the mundane words cannot be emulated by the pup's bark. It's too quiet and empty here for me to really feel comfortable.

Call us Ky. gals- we would love talking with ya.
Even set up just a chat online sis. :)
You ladies are the best =)
Maybe the "peace and quietness" IS a sign for you to do some meditating?
Productive day update:
I was side tracked by fun conversations with friends on VR, so my stint on being uber productive has been mellowed.
However, I have been making a dent in super cleaning the bathroom. I think a certain someone should have offered to do it so that I could really have "me time" Actually, I've done the tub and about to mop the floor. It's not bad, buts just something I feel I should do since I haven't done it recently.
I have been known to go on benders and start cleaning the walls with bleach in an attempt to super sterilize the abode. It is finally nice where I could open the windows and get some good air circulation if I opt to do that this week. Carpet cleaning could be a fun 3am activity as well.
Hmmm where to start. I really should get onto the whole eating bit lol

Hey! I was in bed early as I went to work at 4:30 am Monday. lol
I gave ya the idea.... be kind of hard to clean the bathroom from this far away. :)
Just some advice for you:
There will always be dirt & germs anywhere and everywhere.
Yippee for productive days!
*Completely re-arranged the closet which was no easy task. It's a giant walk in, and Seven has ummm about 20 boxes of books that a decided should in a different spot. Took all of them out, all the clothes, all the shoes, all the other things we've managed to store in there, and then promptly put everything back in but in a more functional way.... and boy do my arms hurt lol!
*Read a couple of chapters for my Marketing Management class and printed out the case studies that I need to address for my homework that is due on Tuesday.
*Cycled 3 loads of laundry so that I can have clean clothes. Already folded and put away, this is honestly my least favorite part of the whole laundry ordeal. Right now my sheets are in the washing machine, and the blanket in the dryer.
*Took the dog for a walk.
------------------------------------------------------
Still on the "to do" list:
*Eat. You'd think I would have done this by 2:40pm, but I just haven't entered into the kitchen. That's a whole other area that I need to address cleaning wise plus I need to put away the clean dishes from the dishwasher.
*Bills. Ugggghh I hate them.
*Get Ink. No tattoos, just some for the printer since I drained it by printing the first three chapter of my marketing book which should arrive next week sometime.
*Relaxing. It's hard to do when Seven isn't around. I got the short end of the stick; because of my job and school, I wasn't able to go on the cruise with all of Seven's family. So I'm here for a week, left to my own devices. Things are either going to be immaculate when 7 returns, or I'm going to be a bum and sleep way more than usual. Right now, I can't even stay still for 30min. I'm just trying to occupy myself so that I don't think about how much I already miss 7 and how much it sucks that I didn't get to go with the whole crew there.
Off I go now before I allow myself to think too heavily on it.

You def got the short end of the stick, bummer.
Sucks 7 is gone, but you should enjoy this time. All that you are going to get done. :)
You should take a hot bath/shower, snuggle in with a good book tonight, soft music playing. Have a "me" night. I try to have at least one a week myself. ;)
Have you thought about buying a laser printer?
And... You could always get a pizza or two delivered... and have some left over for the next day.
Pup update:
She is doing much better once we switched her to some chow that did not include beef or corn. We're doing a half Hills Perscription hypoallergenic food and Eukanuba Naturally Wild Country-Grown Turkey. The Hills doesn't contain nearly enough calaries on it's own, and we did just chance it with the Eukanuba and hope that she wasn't allergic to turkey.
It all worked out, and we are lucky that after about a week of vomiting, being lethargic, and extremely grumpy she has bounced back to running amok and being her old self again.

Bouncy pups rock :)
Amok! Amok! Amok! Yeah!! :)
Awesome! Thanks for the update :)
My lil pup is sick. She is just so tiny and I feel so helpless when she is ill.
Went to the vet today after noticing some hives on her yesterday in addition to not being able to hold food down for the last few days.
The reaction also caused some symptoms that we didn't even notice until the vet pointed them out to us. Apparently she had the dog equivalent of pink eye and lesions.
They did a blood test and ruled out pancrititis which brought a sigh of relief to us. It wasn't great news though. They are pretty certain it is a food allergy like maybe corn, glutten, beef etc So now we get to try and figure out what it is and deal with her reactions while attempting to find out a food solution.
She got a massive steroid shot to help with the symptoms and we have eye drops to help with her swollen eye. Tomorrow, we pick up the prescription food that is super hypoallergenic. If she isn't showing sign of improvement in the next few days, we take her back. If she is improving we take her back in about a week and a half.
Puppies sure can get expensive... I just want her to get better though :(

Oh no...I hope she is ok. I love our dog Taz like a child and am just as over-protective. I would be in agony if she was sick or wounded.
Yep, children and animals empty a purse in record time, I hope the treatment works for her.
Is there any improvement? I'm hoping she is up and tromping about good as new.
I hope your puppy gets better. Animals become our children too. We love them so much.
Meep- how is the puppy? She alright? Let us know please.
I hate when a pet is ill. :(
Life has been busy.
Two weeks ago I started my new job. I work a swing shift of 12-9 for the first 18 weeks of training. I get to sleep in, but when I make it home I want to crash almost instantly. But the hours will eventually change, so I am willing to go through the unorthodox schedule without much complaint.
This coming Tuesday, I start the long journey of getting the MBA. Marketing Management from 9am-11:45- which means I will literally be going for 12 hours straight on Tuesday. Ick. I'll see how it is balancing one physical class with working full time. Chances are subsequent class will be taken online so it won't be as grueling of a day. Though I'll make a point to take the statistics based one, Quantitative Methods, on campus. I'll need all the hands on tutoring I can get for the math!
Things have changed so much. One month ago, I was self employeed and dealing with very sporadic consulting or writing ventures. Now, I'm a corporate stooge...well maybe peon would be a better term for it. But with tuition pre-paid policies, I would be a fool not to immediately jump on board. Big enough company that after the first "tour of duty" you can go in all sorts of directions within the company, and they promote from within whenever possible.
My free time is practically gone, but my life is on track and I'm moving towards personal goals =0

Big congratulations on that! :)
Thats awesome! Happy for you :D
Very Nice! If you build it... they will come.
Hang in there- your goals are worth reaching for. :)
