Around a 1,000 comic books to categorize and I'm only on #88. This will be a LONGGGGGG hobby. It would help if I didn't keep stopping to re-read some of the stories. LOL!
You as excited as I am about free comic book day though? :) It's this weekend.
Some are so pretty, I can't dare to take the plastic off.
I was unaware of this. Details please!!!
Details in the main forum in the events section. ^_^
It's my favorite time of the year! :D
The fact that I could never commit to one hobby is the reason behind my username/nom deplume .
So almost a month ago, my brother became critically ill. His wife, my mother and other family members set around his bedside for 26 days 24 hours a day on a rotational basis. He's much better now, but there was all type of drama. My mother got a rude awakening and learned a huge lesson. She may be the mother, but since my brother was legally married, the WIFE called all the shots including whether or not to pull the plug and who can and can not visit him. Having a humbling experience after talking to a number of people pertaining to law, she said many people go into marriage not really understanding how much POWER they are giving another person from day one. Especially if they become ill and can't make decisions for themselves and especially if at that same time the marriage is on the rocks. It doesn't matter. The spouse is still IN CHARGE.
What's scary is the fact that if one party is incapable of making decisions for his/her own welfare AND the spouse is wanting out...who knows what horrors can happen.
Do you recall the case of the parents who lost their case against their son-in-law? They wanted to keep their daughter on life support, but the husband didn't; he had the plug pulled. I should add that during all of this time, he had a long term girlfriend before the wife's demise - ie, he was cheating on her. Nice, huh?
Anyway - I wish your brother a speedy recovery!
The Terri Schiavo case
So much free time...So many things I enjoy reading about.
Cult - a new religious movement or other group whose beliefs or practices are considered abnormal or bizarre by the larger society.
Destructive Cult membership can lead to many harmful effects including:
- Mental Breakdowns (Cults will often use Mind Control to induce a Mental Breakdown disguised as a ‘Spiritual Awakening’)
- Psychotic and Suicidal tendencies
- Poor Judgement – Lose the ability to think logically and rationally and become easier to be controlled and manipulated
- Separation from Family and Friends
- Virtual Enslavement
- Panic attacks
Hmmmm, simply sounds like being in a relationship with the wrong person. LMAO!
So when I go to update my status, I see member names that have blocked me that I've never even messaged.
That's like firing someone who doesn't even work for you.
That's like divorcing someone who you're not even married to.
That's like not voting for a candidate that's not even running.
But fun to see. I love seeing people loving to playyyyy. ^_^
If she was never really there to begin with, why the need to tell her goodbye when she leaves? Just hold the door for her and don't forget to change the locks.
Slept late today...Time to hit the Home Gym for a bit.
Time to get some reading in....
I have some HOT female VR Friends....why if they weren't Long Distance or Married (some) I'd give them a reason to make me not 1, but 2 or more sandwiches. I'd have to hit my gym twice a day.
I mean, these women actually LOVE Sex! They don't see it as an act to be endured or something only done TO them. They also have the funniest, raunchiest and sometimes sickest sense of humor I've come across.
I Love Them All....
My kind of women...... ^_^
FB let a full on female nude picture slip by. Wow! I never seen a better use of a razor! ^_^
didn't know it was porn night at FB. lol
I know right?!? Party!!! :D
I post them on the main fb page I am a co manager on for like 5 minutes. But on the one I am page owner, there are a few subtle ones I could get popped for! LOL =^.^=
So I have a Whirlpool dishwasher and a little over a year ago my dishes had these black spots all over them after the wash cycle had completed.
So I was like WTF? I saw the corrosion and was wondering if this was normal. Then I did some online research and found an article that stated modern dish racks are constructed of metal wires with a protective coating (typically nylon or polyvinyl chloride) that protects against the highly corrosive world inside a dishwasher. Rusted dish racks are among the most common consumer gripes about household dishwashers. In addition to the obvious scratching from sharp objects, the causes are numerous, including defects in the coating and degradation due to aging.
So since I was raised hand washing dishes I didn't bother with the issue until this year. I called to ask if there were any stainless steel dishwasher racks and was told no. There are stainless steel racks, however, no one makes stainless steel dishwasher racks. At least not Whirlpool.
That given how common the problem seems to be, it clearly isn't an easy, or more likely economical, design problem to solve. That to do so would undoubtedly drive up cost and that appears to be one trade-off that companies are unwilling to make.
So the guy offered to sell me replacement racks, but after hearing the cost I said I'd wait a little longer. Well to make some sort of sell right then, he offered to just sell me replacement tips and white paint for less than $20. So I said cool, ship it to me. Of course this won't stop the corrosion of the metal, it'll just make what is already there look better until I really need to replace the racks.
It's so sad to have someone ask another to marry them and for that other person to accept not really understanding the commitment one is undertaking.
If the very next day after saying 'I Do', the one you claim to love till death do you part is involved in an accident or is struck by the onset of a terrible illness which leaves that person either as an invalid or extremely disfigured...WOULD YOU STAY?
We're talking that person living well into their 80's or beyond if all goes well after that incident in which that person would need round the clock care as well as special living assistance equipment....WOULD YOU STAY?
How about that person losing their Job or is found not to be able to have children or is later found to have unknowingly contracted an incurable STD or later the Husband is found to have fathered a child...any number of negative things that are discovered AFTER saying 'I Do' with the exception of that person being unfaithful....WOULD YOU STAY?
If any of these events would to happen right after the ceremony......WOULD YOU STAY?
Just something to think long and hard about PRIOR to saying 'I Do'.
Do you trust that person would....STAY?
uhg i hate that place! thank god they serve beer there
omg there so cute ..........smiles
You ARE awesome Uncle Mogy!
Yes they're. ^_^ ...Thanks! I try..
Going to try and get some reading in today before I continue to work on my little hobby project.
A woman should never ask me am I attracted to them or do I think they're attractive. I pick and choose when to be brutally honest and harming someone's self-esteem is not at the top of my list. I find beauty in every woman just because they are female. An I'm VERY attracted to females. I'm just MORE attracted to some than others.
I love a confident woman that oozes sex appeal who doesn't think showing a little skin is slutty.
I love women who take the time to LOOK feminine. That's the appeal of this man.
I love women who are hot and they know it! But I also love women who I may not think is all that attractive, but they think they're hot. Now that's a turn on.
I've always studied Love.
I've read many books on Love.
I intentionally practice showing Love.
I merged so completely with Love, and was so fused, that I became Love ... and Love became me.
If I've ever physically touched you in any way, just know you were once touched by Love.
People should know by now I don't answer my door if I didn't invite you to come over.... LOL!
Someone said that if they had no other place to go, they would just show up at my home hoping I would let them stay for awhile. Wrong!!!
I enjoy my privacy and their dilemma is not my issue. I'd be more than happy to direct them to the nearest shelter or local police station.
Oh so you're telling me if I showed up naked underneath my trench u would send me to a shelter:P Not even if I had my stilletos? LOL
Hmmm...Let me get back to you on that one. ^_^
As a Squatter there was often conflicts regarding members of the original circle inviting others to the squat, staying one night was not the issue per-say but it was always inevitable that the invited would either attempt to over stay their welcome, or (the biggest taboo) take it upon themselves to invite another person to the squat. I'll be the first to tell you that even though most Squatters are Anarchist, and Radical Liberals, they do indeed have boundaries.
Loving fantasy and art I've collected near 1,000 comic books. I'll pass them on to my son someday. I need to check the value of some of these. I could be sitting on a jack pot. LOL!
Too funny! I was going to post this.
