Rating spree. Deal with it.
I agree with this article. These points are easily observeable when we are in company.
An infant feels empathy for another person if the other person is sad or happy etc.
Domesticated animals (more than animals in the wild) feel empathy also (to lesser degrees of course), and so to be empathetic is a normal part of a sentient beings existance.
Often, if we are in close proximity to another person, we match our breathing, our heartbeats and so on to the other person's state.
What is interesting about this article, is that it tells us that we can feel empathy but can 'train' ourselves to alter our empathetic state in a positive way to 'lift' the negative mood of the other person.
It will be interesting to read the next article on this subject.
Good article. I know the awful feeling of empathy when someone's being negative. It sucks. That's why I avoid so many people -- they're just too negative for my liking. ;)
Yes, and so true it is easy to pick up on the feelings and energy around one :) Nice article Oceanne!
My story in a nut shell. Only some one with your talent and heart could tell the story of those who feel so well it hurts.
