Being this is a site dedicated to vampires I thought to post a few threads related to just that as well as post a thread of trivia where we all may answer a few questions and the first to answer all correctly may proceed with their own trivia questions.
Not certain if anyone will come to enjoy this thread or obey by the "so called rule" but I thought it may be fun to try.
Perhaps a one question limit should be placed....
If you wish to play just answer the following question first and I will keep track with the answer, then following the correct answer given it is your turn to try to stump the fello Umpyr of Vampire Rave...
Q: How many times did the author Bram Stoker travel to Transylvania in order to research his famous novel?
OK, I'll bite (forgive the pun)
A: He didn't travel to Transylvania at all. If memory serves, he came across all of his references from books about the history of the region. The rest came from his delicious imagination.
ElderDaniel is correct....tis your turn to ask a question "Master"
OK, here's one for everyone. Hands on your buzzers...
In what Marvel comic book series did the character "Blade the Vampire Slayer" first appear?
I will guess The Punisher or Spawn...if they are even marvel comics...
Hmmm, mmmm I know!!
In the Marvel comics...
Blade the Vampire Slayer was first introduced in "Tomb of Dracula" No. 10 (1973), but was never terribly popular until the 1998 movie.
*blows* on nails, now where do I collect my prize?
Yay.. on the subject matter for this thread, great to see Vampire related stuff too!
Finally!! A decent thread!!!
What's the next question? I'm awake now.
You have to answer the previous question right first, and be the first to get it right and then you can ask a question! Its a quiz, first in - wins.
I'm liking this thread, honey... good pick=)
I can't wait 'till it's my turn to ask a ?... I have one I have NEVER seen anyone get right.
Cool treat......
:( have to wait until its my turn to ask..
alredy know a Question...HeHe
hehehe, i know answered first, but i could be wrong!! hurry up ElderDan and rise!!
Sorry -- this is the danger of people in different time zones, LOL.
Yes, Emaerald is correct. You get to choose the next question.
P.S. As a side note, Blade III will have Blade returning to his comic book roots here by facing his greatest nemesis -- Count Dracula himself.
I likey, likey this thread. I might not know a lot of the answers, but at least I can learn something!
OOh yay I got it!! Now my turn hehe
What, and to Whom, was Bram Stoker referring to as “atom in the intellectual kingdom” in a letter he penned in 1897?
*smiles*
*Oooh, oooh! I know!
Perhaps we should set a rule that a previous winner must pass a turn, lest I prove just what a trivia-whore I am.
D
LOL, good idea ElderDan, you got the answer too quickly!
William Gladstone. And he was referring to his soon-to-be-published novel DRACULA.
That was a toughie.
buzzz 50 points to the Monsieur Jason..you got the correct answer!!
"My dear Gladstone,
May I do myself the pleasure of sending you a copy of my new novel Dracula which comes out on 26th. Perhaps at your leisure you may honour me by reading it. It is a story of a vampire -- the old mediaeval vampire but recrudescent today. It has I think pretty well all the vampire legend as to limitations and these may in some way interest you who have made as bold a guess at “immortaliability”. The book is necessarily full of horrors and terrors but I trust that these are calculated to “cleanse the mind by pity & terror.” At any rate there is nothing base in the book and though superstition is brought in with the weapons of superstition I hope it is not irreverent. You will I know pardon my adding to the labour of your life by even the reading of one more letter. My regard for you and your work through all my thinking life has been such that I deem it a high privilege to be able to address you in the first person and to be able to put before you a book of my own, though it be only an atom in the intellectual kingdom where you have as long held sway"
Believe me
Your very sincere and respectful friend
Bram Stoker
Thanks, Emmy. That was a tough one.
Ok, easy question so I'll word it a bit tricksy:
Tom Cruise was not Anne Rice's original choice to play the lead character in the film version of Interview With the Vampire. Who was?
I cannot believe I didn't know this....
But I cheated so I can't answer. I've been sworn to secrecy under threat of shoving beer down my gullet.... ROFLMAO.
I do know this answer however Elder has a good idea to pass on your turn if you previously answered a question, being I asked the first I shall wait...good question though...
im just gonna innerupt the answer /question pasrt and give yo a question ..okay?
what was the name of the first " modern" vampire according to history?..hint this was the one that "Dracula" was based on.....teeheee
And wraith it was Varnae. I do think though that you should stick to the person who created this page's rules. You aren't suppossed to go off and ask your own questions .It's not part of the fun..wait until you can answer
Okay, in the organization Temple of the Vampires, what is there most modern creed "The Vampire Creed" state?
GOOD LUCK!
Ahhhhh, not even close..but you got mine! ::laughs:: Keep trying
The modern creed state, and I quote:
"I am a Vampire.
I worship my ego and I worship my life, for I am the only God that is.
I am proud that I am a predatory animal and I honor my animal instincts.
I exalt my rational mind and hold no belief that is in defiance of reason.
I recognize the difference between the worlds of truth and fantasy.
I acknowledge the fact that survival is the highest law.
I acknowledge the Powers of Darkness to be hidden natural laws through which I work my magic.
I know that my beliefs in Ritual are fantasy but the magic is real,
and I respect and acknowledge the results of my magic.
I realize there is no heaven as there is no hell,
and I view death as the destroyer of life.
Therefore I will make the most of life here and now.
I am a Vampire. "
If I am correct here is my question.....If I am not correct, you don't have to answer......
Question: Who is Anne Rice's "Favorite child of the millennium" ?
HINT.....it is a vampire from her novels.
Good Luck.
I kick ass.... Im an anne rice freak when it comes to the books=)
Heres MY question....
In one of her books, Anne Rice states the real name of Pandora.
What is it?
Now remember the rules, kids... if you've already won.... wait for someone else to get it=)
Why am I in no way surprised you got that right?
Now your turn for a question.
I am going to go a little more obscure in an attempt to thwart googling.
In Michael Romkey's popular I, Vampire novel, the first vampire the hero David Parker meets is Tatiana. Who is the second?
I have given the answer to Khayman so she can move the game along in my absence.
Sorry about that, bloddy computor doesn't realize that I am it's master. I am not going to pout over the fact that I can not answer Cancer's question. I will though recite one of my favorite quotes by the master of I, Vampire "People are fascinated with vampires. As Anne Rice put it, vampires are the aristocrats of the monster kingdom. They are sensual, elegant creatures. The way vampires kill is a form of seduction. They sweep into bedrooms and linger over their sleeping victims. And vampires are utterly irresistible. If a vampire looks at you with mesmerizing eyes and asks you to go with her for a walk through the streets of Paris at night, you're not going to politely decline." How true....
I think I have been patient enough in my waiting. It has been a while since I read "I, Vampire", but I believe David met Mozart second.
D
If memory serves me it was this ruthless english vampire he encountered in the Montmartre cemetary - he usually referred to him as The Ripper, I can't remember his name for the life of me.
ElderDan-
Memory does indeed serve you correctly, sir. It was Mozart. Well done.
Your question?
=)
Thank you. That was a tricky one because he met so many wonderful characters from history. Here's the next question.
In Tori Amos' song, Hotel, she asks the question, "Where are the Velvets?" My question is: Who are the Velvets, and in which TV-mini series were they introduced?
Obviously, to be considered a "vampire" trivia question, they were a type of vampire, but what exactly did they take from their victims?
Ok, I had to research this one, and I'm still not sure if I'm right. Here goes:
There is a Nebula and Hugo award winning fantasy/sci-fi writer of novels and comics named Neil Gaiman (THE SANDMAN, BOOKS OF MAGIC) He is a very close friend of Tori Amos. Close enough to be imentioned in or alluded to in at least one song on each of her albums. He wrote a book called NEVERWHERE. In this book is a vampire race/creature called The Velvets. I have not read this book. :-(
Gaiman is also close friends with J. Michael Straczynski, who is the creator of the sci-fi series BABYLON 5. (May is rest in immortal peace! I miss her so!) In this show Straczynski has a race called the the Gaim, in tribute to Gaiman. This is the only TV series parallel that I could come up with in relation to the Velvets.
Am I even close?
They are a band, and appeared in the series Heartbeat..now what did they take from the audience.. ummmm thats three questions ElderDan!!! :p at a guess.. their hearts?
Yep, Google rocks. I didn't dig too deep, though. I will after work. Count on it. ;-)
Hmmm...The Velvet Underground.
The monkey's..
Do I win..Huh Huh...lol
Kidding of course..
The Velvets are vampire-like characters from Gaiman's novel "Neverwhere"
mwwwuahhhahah....
that is the best i could find also ..But i guess there is something only the Elder one knows...Sorry Jason Thats what i get for skimm reading...Bangs head against the wall..
Ok, got it. The Velvets drain your soul. Thanks for the gimme, there, Daniel. My turn?
Hmmm...well, I'm pretty sure I'm right, so here's mine:
Long before Type O Negative, the band Blue Oyster Cult was immortalizing vampires and vapirism in their music. Nearly every album they have released since 1978 has contain a song that touched on or was about those subjects. Your task: name 5 songs by Blue Oyster Cult that are about, touch on, or mention vampires or vampirism.
Note: several songs are very iffy when it comes to what the heck the thing is truly about. BOC admits to being heavy drug users in the late 70s and early 80s. This is very evident in some of thier lyrics.
Transmaniacon MC
Before The Kiss
Screams
She's beautiful as a foot
Cities on Fire
?????????
Im not really sure but hey heres my 2 cents.
Im so unsure I will give you 5 more

Give a bit... he'll be on later....=)
PATIENCE GRASSHOPPA.
:sigh: I guess I can be patient for him, but cant I still sing?
Go for it sister...
*walks off humming the muffin man tune*
Well Rayne...of all the excellent BOC songs you listed, only one is a true vamp song: After Dark.
One down, 4 to go. :-D
Sorry it's taking me so long to get back to you. Thanks for covering for me Khay!
Well you said that After Dark was one of them
I have some more.
Veins
Shadow Of California
See YOU In Black
Out Of The Darkness
E.T.I
In The Presence Of Another World
Dragon Lady
Let Go
Unknown Tongue
And I'm done trying to figure it out.
not that i have a question to ask if i by some odd chance get it right...
so if i do i pass the question onto someone else.
but here's my guess
fallen angel
after dark
nosferatu
tattoo vampire
i love the night
Wow i could not find those anywere sigh gotta start looking in other places.
Hello all! Jason asked me to stand in on the trivia question.
RabdSquid: You have MOST of them right!
The correct answers, of those you gave, are as follows:
After Dark
Nosferatu
Tattoo Vampire
I Love the Night
Fallen Angel, however, is not correct.
This leaves one remaining answer and one … iffy … answer.
;)
k these correct ones
After Dark
Nosferatu
Tattoo Vampire
I Love the Night
and is the last one celestial the queen?
No, I am sorry. The Celestial Queen is not one the answers.
Celestial The Queen* sorry. Dyslexia reared it's ugly head again.
would it be
After Dark
Nosferatu
Tattoo Vampire
I love the night
and the final
Demon's Kiss
I am sorry, but, Demon's Kiss is not the correct answer.
*pat pat pat* It's Ok Rayne. Give it a bit.
I need to actually earn my paycheck for a bit. I'll check back in a while to see if any other guesses have been placed.
I'm glad my question isn't as easy as I thought it would be. Then again, I'm a BOC nut. hehe I highly reccommend BOC to anyone on this site. GREAT stuff with lots of funky songs. Particularly the first album, BLue Oyster Cult, and their "concept album" Imaginos.
Thanks for the help, Req. If they don't get it by the end of the work day, give em the answers! LOL
Catch you all Monday!
Okies. The end of the day it is. By midnight my time CST. ;)
I am sorry, Rayne, but Unknown Tongue is not the correct answer.
IN THE PRESENCE OF ANOTHER WORLD ? this is really hard to figure out
That, also, is not correct. 6 hours 23 minutes to go until I post the answers if no one has any further guesses.
I am sorry, Nightshade, but Career of evil is also incorrect.
Wow this is a tough one..Is it "She's as beautiful as a foot?"
LOL *cough*
I am sorry, but "She's as beautiful as a foot" is not the correct answer.
hrmmm..How about..Vengeance?
Gives Jason a big **PIE** for this one ..
NO, Taymos. I am sorry, but Vengeance is not the correct answer.
Ok last shot and I'll leave it to someone else.....Out of the drakness?
I am sorry, Taymos, but Out of the Darkness is not the correct answer.
Ok. I am one hour early in posting the answers.
My apologies, but I could not keep my eyes open any longer.
Jason's answers are as follows:
The four which were guessed (First by RabdQuid):
After Dark
I Love the Night
Nosferatu
Tattoo Vampire
The one which was not guessed:
Vera Gemini
With an iffy possible in:
Mistress of the Salmon Salt
His words:
The last is iffy but is kind of vampy if you read the lyrics.
At this point, I am not sure how the next question will come about. Maybe I ask it?
I'll make it a short one.
In the Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton, the Master of the City of St. Louis, Jean-Claude, fought a war with Mr. Oliver (The Earthmover) a council memeber, for domination of the city's vampire population.
During this fight, what costume did Mr. Oliver wear?
I'll be on Saturday around noon. :)
god! that's hard..all i know is that he's a midget and that he causes earthquakes and snake like thingy's he likes those!
Ok. I really didn't intend for this one to be difficult.
It was a clown suit, the costume he wore.
Someone else ask a question lol
HOLY SHIT!
YOU answered that right as I gave up!
I LOVE you Daire!
Ok. Now you ask a question
What is the title held by a tremere elder in the RPG games vampire the masquerade?
well I guess no one is going to attempt an answer..so I'll take a whack at it..I'm not sure but is it a Mage?
Nope sorry, not the answer im looking for, ill give a clue though, it has religious significance.
Not sure if I'm spelling this right....
Could it be Regent? or Reagent?
(Pronounced Ree * gent)
Thanks.....for some reason, that question got to me and I've been searching my ass off for the past couple of days. LOLOL
Ive decided this question has lasted too long so i think that a regent is a good enough answer to allow the game to move on.
Wow...thanks! Since I am really not good at this question stuff and lack decent knowledge of the subject, (One of the reasons I searched for the answer and why I'm on this site...to learn) I shall pass the question to Jason if he doesnt mind.
Thanks, Angelpie. Now I just gotta think of something.....
I just wished to whisper thank you for staying true to the post, and for not deviating from it's intention much respect to you all...
awaits Jasons question with anticipation...
Ok, several related questions.
What is a vorvolaka?
What language is the word from?
In what movie does the vorvolaka appear?
It's from the movie Isle of the dead (1945)
A vorvolaka is the word for vampire.
I believe the language is Greek or Italian but I'm not really sure.
well it isnt from italian cause there is no K in the italian language unless its a word from another language .. generally english
The word is greek, meaning evil force or evil spirit or something of that nature...the film it was used in I am unaware, however would be interesting if its a foreign film, as I am drawn to them most and would be in need to make it an addition to my foreign collection.
OHHHHHHH and I was right Ashley get's the prize lol i knew it ws greek
Janette gets the prize!
Apparently, there is a remake in the works, in which Burt Reynolds is involved. Gator McClusky in a vampire flick? Should be interesting.
Hmmmm I need to think of something a little more tricky... give me some time.
Q: Originally intended by Anne Rice to be introduced as an incubus in "Queen of the Damned", this mischevious character became so involved, he got not just one novel, but two, written about him.
For bonus points name the two books he was in.
The character was Lasher, no?
The Books:
The Mayfair Witches and.,..well...
Lasher....
Damn girl o was this close .. if i woulda gotten online a lil sooner. shakes head.
I'm posting this as a blank message to get this game back on the main page where it belongs...
Danielle
Wow... the only thing that got my goat on that one was the word mischevious...hehehe... Lasher was a sneaky lil' prick... anywho...
OK... My question is this...
As we all know, Gary Oldman played fabulously in the movie Bram Stoker's Dracula. He actually frightened most of the cast and crew through out the shoot because he never left character.
In the opening scenes, as well as others through the film, his passion in the scene has been unmatched by many others who have tried. As an actor, one must find a source for that much passion...
Q- In the movies' opening scenes... what did Mr. Oldman state as the source for the passion required to keep said scenes from the editing room floor?
Good Luck, babies=)
WOW, Holy Derail Batman! Get back on subject *cracks her whip*
**bump**
this thing slides off the front page way to fast
i love this thread
Ok... so apparently either no one WANTS to answer this or no one KNOWS the answer to it...
I'll give to the end of today... midnight EST. Jason knows the answer so if he's up and im not... he can post it and move this bad boy along....
smooches babies=)
Ok, so, no one got the question. I'll give it up now.. *pout
hehehe
The answer is the death of his son.
Gary Oldman had a son at one point in time, he would be about...15 years old now i want to say... but much like the pain of Eric Clapton... Gary's son, too, fell from a window to his death.
OK...MOVING ON... whos got a groovey question?....
The floor is officially open=)
::steals the floor:: This should be an easy one....it's to get this thread back up and running..
Okay who was Lamia? How was she related to Zeus? What race of vampires was named after her..I want the full story, I made sure I deleted this one from my profile so you google whores will have to jump on Jason's google bus
I teached the high school brats this!!!
Lamia Greek Mythology. A monster represented as a serpent with the head and breasts of a woman that ate children and sucked the blood from men.
A female vampire.
------------------------------------------
In Greek mythology, Lamia was the daughter of Libya and Belus. According to the legend, Zeus engaged in an affair with Lamia. Hera, furious that her husband had cheated on her yet again, punished the unfortunate Lamia. As a result of Hera's wrath, Lamia was compelled to eat her own children. The story takes an even uglier turn when we learn that the crazed Lamia then developed a taste for children.
Therefore, it comes as no surprise that Lamia is usually described as a sort of bogey-woman. Her story was chilling and more than a bit macabre - perfect for frightening small children. It is said that Greek mothers sometimes told their children this tale in order to make them behave.
However, the legend of the Lamia inspired more than fear, for the poet John Keats took up the subject in his poem entitled simply Lamia. An excerpt from the poet's description of Lamia follows:
"She was a gordian shape of dazzling hue,
Vermilion-spotted, golden, green, and blue;
Striped like a zebra, freckled like a pard,
Eyed like a peacock, and all crimson barr'd;
And full of silver moons, that, as she breathed,
Dissolv'd, or brighter shone, or interwreathed
Their lustres with the gloomier tapestries-
So rainbow-sided, touch'd with miseries,
She seem'd, at once, some penanced lady elf,
Some demon's mistress, or the demon's self.
Upon her crest she wore a wannish fire
Sprinkled with stars, like Ariadne's tiar:
Her head was serpent, but ah, bitter-sweet!
She had a woman's mouth with all its pearls complete:
And for her eyes: what could such eyes do there
But weep, and weep, that they were born so fair?"
---------------------------------------------
well what do you know? I did it right! :P
oh well...my turn!! *cartwheels naked!!*
ok..this is an easy one!
Stephen King wrote Salems Lot and yes it is about vampires, my question is WHAT IS THE original tittle of the novel?
*giggles!*
::refuses to be a google whore:: I am trying really hard to remember this...Uhh Blood Thirst?
:kicks the wall in a mad fit of rage becouse I can not get my vampire trivia drug fix:
Why was I not told this would be adicting?
Was it called, "The Second Coming"? (not sure if this should be in Scarletts room or not ;)
i'm no stephen king fan but i remember reading a piece on the net about Salem's lot.
I THINK that both mortallover and emaerald are right. It was first known as blood thirst and the second coming....
King..where are you?? coming out to play?? heh
I studied this for my literary english exam..but then my memory sometimes sux, so I could be wrong heh
ok, i've now got back up on this courtsey of Stephen King fanatic. It's defintley The Second Coming
Did I get the right answer? Think I should push on with da next question or wait for the time zone and King Tarquin to confirm if its right or not?
OK..well i waited nearly two days for King.. soo spank me if i am wrong ;)
Here is the next question:
Which author said this about Vampires and in which publication?
“Do not dismiss when I tell you that vampires are indeed real and many people today fit the definition of living vampires. To my knowledge none of them are immortal, nor do they claim to be. Although, many have claimed to have been reincarnated. This is not an implication that vampires have to have lived before, nor that all people who have discovered their past lives are vampires. But it is a common trait I have discovered.”
Ok, kids... little explination here... King lives in the Phillipines. The country has been slammed by hellacoius typhoon after hellacious typhoon... the storms have damn near leveled the country. He has been without power for several days... patience, grasshoppers....
He is ok, but right now he has things he has to handle... like getting off the island....
*grins* I'll have you knw Miss K the only thing kid about me is my leather g-strings ;) Soooooo, thats what happened King.. I hadn't heard about that over here.
I'm going to guess Bram Stoker, because ...well, it's Emmy's question. :-D
Elder D! Acrimony!
Great writing, by the way, Elder D!
http://www.acrimony.org/article_Vampires-A_New_Look.php
Ok, here we go:
Go check out picture number 8 in my portfolio. Who is that guy? Why is he covering his face? And what the heck does he have to do with vampires?
You right Jason.. none other than the Maestro of Words himself :: ElderDan and in this article he was writing for
www.acrimony.org
Ok, 24 hours and no takers.
Hint: If you're a B movie fan, the answer should be easy.
Successful chiropractor and sometime hypnotist, he was a friend of Ed Wood's who doubled as the Ghoul Man in Plan 9 From Outer Space after the death of Bela Lugosi. Due to he fact that he resembles Lugosi in only one way, large ears, his scenes were shot with a black cape covering his face. Dr. Mason was also an associate producer of Night of the Ghouls, in which his wife, Margaret Mason, played a small part.
You got it Scarlett. Google is your friend! LOL
Your turn.
five straight days without electricity! would you damn believe it? Sorry guys..Pam..
Yep, the correct answer is Second Coming..
Thank you Khay dear! =)
Damn storm!
Oh well, I'm back!
and still naked! :P
I don't think we'd have it any other way. Just glad you're alright, honey=)
No problem King.. just glad you are okay. I waited a couple of days 'tho before I asked the next question. Hope you didn't mind I went on ahead ...
Q: According to their folklore, which Camarilla vampire clan is responsible for designing the all of clans' heraldic coats of arms?
For an extra point, name the vampire who designed them.
For another extra point, which vampire was upset that his clan did NOT design them, or at least his clan's?
____
Dont blame/credit me for this one.. all honors due to the one who didnt take me to see Trinity
C'mon guys... this question isn't THAT hard.
What's the matter? Google's search engine down? :p
(bump)
THe Malkavians.
A boy vampire named Pelinka designed them, and a Torredor named Rafael de Corazon was offended that a Malky produced them instead of a Torreador.
I think.
Am I right?
*ding ding ding*
:: Don Pardo voice on::
You are correct, Requiem! Here's your lifetime supply of Rice-A-Roni, the San Francisco treat! But that's not alllllll...
You also get to ask the next question.
Back to you, Dee!
Don
Ack! I mean, YAY I WAS right! and Ack, I have to come up with a question. Give me a bit.
Rafael de Corazon... translates to Rafael of the heart.
Interesting for a vampire.
Ok. Here's the question.
In Jeanne Kalogridis' series The Diaries of the Family Dracul, the book Covenant with the vampire, just how did Prince Vlad Tsepesh convince his great-nephew Arkady to procure victims for him?
Extra point if you can tell me what causes Arkady to decide this must end.
:: whistles the Jeopardy theme ::
These things don't get answered if they dont stay on the front page.
Proven VR fact... people don't know how to dig through the threads.
**bump**
LOL Jason
Okies. I give it till morning, my time. (About 8am CST, US)
If no one has answered by then, I'll post the answer and let the field open for the first one with a witty question.
Okies. Arkady was blackmailed with the safety of his family into procuring victims for Tsepesh.
He decided this must end when he realized his son was being groomed to take his place.
Open Season Chilluns!
OK, I have a question.
In the teenage vampire spoof movie, "My Best Friend Is A Vampire", what was the name of the book that Modoc gave to the recently embraced Jeremy?
Handbook for the recently UnDead.
I dunno... hehehe im guessin... i just remember likin the ending...
oh well=)
WAIT!! NOT MY FINAL ANSWER!!!
Vampirism- A Guide To An Alternative Lifestyle.
roflmao
Khayman, I'll give it to you. The full title was "Vampires: A Practical Guide to an Alternative Lifestyle."
You have the next question.
Oh groovey... my brain had to go through the lines in the movie..heheh left out a word. SAAAAAALLLL good.
Okie Dokie chillin's....
Heres the deal:
There is actually a bit of ancient myth to go along with our oh so dear "Underworld".
It was widely thought that killing your son was a sure-fire way to become a vampire.
In Greek Myth, an ancient king was turned into a wolf for commiting this very crime.
What was the Kings name and over what kingdom/country did he rule?
Points for correct spelling, darlings....
*wink*
Good Luck!
By the way... I am gonna have to be stingy and look for absolute correctness on the spelling of the name of the King. You'll see why when you find it.
the king is lycaon and he ruled arcadia with his 50 sons
he was turned into a wolf by Zues
and as a bonus it is commonly thought that the constelation lupus refers to him
You are just the shizzle sister girl... course those who are history majors tend to know this stuff already. LOL
Yer up, mammacita....
uhhhh i am terrible at asking questions i pass my turn to uhhhhhh ElderDan he is smart he will ask a good one
The TV series Forever Knight had a little known pilot TV show called "Nick Knight" which aired about three years prior. There were quite a few differences once it became a series. The new series was recast and filmed in Ontario, whereas the original movie was filmed in Los Angeles. Even Nick's best friend, the coroner, became a woman (presumably to add romantic tension between them.) However, throughout all of the changes, one character remained the same.
Who was this character, and what was the same about them?
For an extra point, what was the character's nickname?
Detective Don Schanke played by John Kapelos?
Here's a funny: Nick was played by Rick Springfield in the pilot!
You are correct, Jason. He was the only cast member from the original pilot that stayed when the TV series aired.
(Do you remember his nickname, though?)
Your question, Jason.
No idea what his nickname was. Google didn't know! LOL Gimme a while to figure out a good one.
In responce to the 1st Q, you'll find that B. Stoker, got his inspiration from m. shelly. when he attended a 'party' where there were other influential guets (its been some time since i last read his bioraphy) and they were asked to write short stories, this got the ball rolling. As well as the obvious one, Vlad.
*coughs*
thank you Dhampir, but you should answer Jason's question
=)
Jason has to ask one first. ;-)
(No pressure.)
BTW: Det. Donald Schenke was affectionately known around the precinct as "Donut Don". I might have also have accepted Nick's often used "Skanks".
I bet you dollars to donuts he hated both names. ;-)
Har Har..
Rofl Dan...
:: pokes Jason in the kidneys ::
I know yer busy but uh....
/:)
Ok, here we go....picture number 11 if my portfolio....check it out...gimme a 10...come back here and tell us who it is. :-)
::laughs:: It sure looks like the Count from Sesame Street to me.
It DOES look like the count ... Are you SURE it isn't Count von Count?
That would be Count Blah from Greg the Bunny ... hahahah i win i win *kisses google*
ok ... thank you Req for the following question .. as you know you can not answer ...
What was the cat's and the Dog's name in the Bunnicula series?
In the film Nosferatu, Count Orlock is the first Vampire to do what?
(think tradition here, kiddies)
** wink **
Ok..... half a point to you young man...
But NOT what i was looking for.
Hint: It relates to WHY Orlock had his own coffin.
Again: Count Orlock was the first to do WHAT?
(think of the more... common ... clip of that film. what happened?)
Wild stab here, before I google it.
sleep in earth from his homecountry?
this is the point where i wish i could edit my own posts....
add this to the last one i slapped up...
GOOGLE WHORE!!
Im starting to think this is not fair of me... cause he did do a lot of firsts for vampire lore in that film... but this is a BIG ONE kids!!!!
thats why im stickin to it...
has to be this specific one=)

He was the first to die by the sun as apposed to being staked.

Your turn, Taymos >:)
::Big announcer voice::
"TAYMOS! You have one .... ONE FREE PROBE by the Alien Race of your choice!" ::crowd goes wild with cheers and applause::
WoooHoooo.. I pick the andrianiouse millimankxx from the outer relm of jargillian... lmao ... so I guess I gotssta aks suttin.. not a vamp. movie but he played one on tv.. lmao..
What was Wesley Snipes debut as an actor? *** Hint *** It was not a movie.
"Miami Vice" playing "Silk" in episode: "Streetwise" (episode # 3.10) 5 December 1986
...is this the answer you're looking for? :)
...well, he said it wasn't a movie. so that's why i put the Miami Vice ep.
...if you want MOVIE, his first movie was "Wildcats" (1986) .
I have no answer to any question, I just wanted to say that this is a great forum. A person can learn very much from all of you...
In 1977 he Co-founded Struttin' Street Stuff, a theater troupe which performed street and puppet theater in Orlando.
Is that it?
Google rules!
And if that wasn't it...also in 1977
Appeared in "The Wiz" with Theatre on Park Dinner Theatre in Orlando.
Appeared in the East Harlem production of "The Me Nobody Knows".
Appeared in commercials for Levi's 501 jeans and Coca-Cola Classic.
Ok, scratch the dates on all of that. I misread the article. BUT...all of that takes place prior to his playing Silk on Miami Vice.
wheww.. for a moment I thought I was mistaken... lmao.. another hint ..it had something to do with dancing.
Ok, how about the fact that he was one of the tough guys in Michael Jackson's BAD video?
If that is the answer Tamos is looking for i object to this question .. because the bad video was 1987 and he had appeared in two movies previously and the miami vice episode
Just waiting for Taymos to get back to me. I don't think I'm right. he hinted to me that it was something that Snipes did in '84. google has FAILED me!
But after graduation from a Florida high school he appeared in local dinner theaters and regional productions. An agent saw him in a competition and got him his first movie role with Goldie Hawn in Wildcats (1986).
1985 Broadway debut in "The Boys of Winter". ?? this one??
...this is from his biography on www.1celebritysearch.com/bios/wesley_snipes.htm :
"Born in Orlando, Florida on July 31, 1962, Snipes grew up in the Bronx. He developed an early interest in acting and attended Manhattan's High School for the Performing Arts. His mother moved him back to Florida before he could graduate, but after finishing up high school in Florida, Snipes attended the State University of New York-Purchase and began pursuing an acting career. It was while performing in a competition that he was discovered by an agent, and a short time later he made his film debut in the Goldie Hawn vehicle Wildcats (1986)."
...if there is anything earlier than that, it woulda been him tap dancing in the womb! :)
LOL@ tapp dancing in womb.... i guess that would of been his 1st 'TV' appearence on the scanning machine in the hospital.....
OK Jason is the closest. from what I understand he was also in MJ's Beat it video. THat is what i heard on the radio anywho..so I guess I'll give it up to Jason.
leave it up to me to wrong. ( bangs head on the wall )
...so does this mean Dhampir gets it with his answer: 1985 "Boys of Winter" on Broadway? i'm cornfussed...
Now we just gotta wait for Jason's question...ok y'll got me hooked up in this too... LOL
Jasons like mid flight or mid sleep...... long day yesterday... give him a lil while :D
I just spoke with Jason, He said he will post a new Q. as soon as he has time to research one. Untill then you can all suffer, MMmwwwwuuahhhhhaaa... Just kidding.

Gorch brothers on Buffy who stole babies to pay tribute to the demon Lurconis?
Lyle and Tector Gorch, brothers from the wild, wild west, appear in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer ep "Bad Eggs", were the scoobys have an assignment to look after eggs as an excercise in responibility. They, the gorch brothers, pay tributeto the demon Bezoar., who eats Tector after which Lyle makes haste to get lost!
Lyle also appears in slayerfest organised by Mr Trick after the Mayor of sunnydale (evil demon ascension dude) orders Mr Trick to destroy both slayers b4 his ascension day (he escapes again)
P.S side note here the episode of delivering the babies to a demon called lucronis is called Band Candy (all adults eat candy which revert them to their irresponsible teenage years allowing the babies to be taken away) this was done when Mr Trick enlists ethan raynes help in "hexing the chocolate bars.
I think the Gorch bro's just stumbled across the bezoar
Well, everyone has the Buffy ref correct. When I said "pay tribute" I didn't mean on the show. Let me clarify, the two Gorches are named in tribute to who from what movie? Hope that helps. :-D
The Gorche brothers were the younger bandits and appeared in a show called, "The Wild Bunch"
Requiem and Jack are both correct. They can fight over who gets the next question.
Well, monsieur le Rogue, You may ask.
I will be gone for a while and will not be able to keep up with answers. Ask well! *grin*
Sorry to dissapoint you Starlite ;) thankyou Requiem. Well here is the next question : -
The great Irish novelist Bram Stoker wrote “Dracula”, and this work was influenced by particular events and places in Ireland, one of them Michan’s Church that is famous for being host to mummified bodies. Can you name a major event in Irish history that also influenced his work, and which graveyard arising from that event intrigued and piqued his interest to influence his novel?
Oh Oh Oh I know... But I don't know If I should anwser it cuz. I just did one......wahhhh...
ahh hell Ima give it a whirl anywho.Besides I buzzed in first * Pokes tounge out ** and cuz I gotsa good one for the next one.. mmwwwuahhh.. lmao watch me be wrong.
It was the Epic battle of Clontarf in 1014. And the Clontarf Cemetery ...
Hi Taymos - I would like to say that you are right, but in this instance, sorry - its the wrong answer man.
The Great Irish Famine is correct Daire, now for the other part of the question.. any ideas?
It was actualy the cholera epidemic of 1832 the also had a great influence on his books. i read his biography about 6 months ago, that part stuck in the mind... seeing his towns people dying all around him, left a big impression in his mind.. and several holiday he took when he was young to relatives homes...
It couldn’t have been a cholera epidemic in 1832 as he wasn’t born until 1847. So he wouldn’t have seen any of the effects of an epidemic 13 years old. Where as the famine in Ireland would have been an early childhood memory having run its course over 5 years between 1845 and 1850.
Good un Daire. If anyone needs a clue let me know here, or message Emaerald on yahoo to let me know and I will get back to here. I will not be around much today.
Pretty darlin, but no you keep them, they suit you better. *Rolls them back at ya*
niiiice... interesting to roll them all the way to Ireland though... or is it London... where are you again?
Hello Da 'ire' , if anyone else would like to coment on something they think they know about, but don't.... (i don't write about stuff 'i think i know') i suggest you have a look at this site!!
http://www.litencyc.com/php/speople.php?rec=true&UID=4242
And thank me later........... hey i hold my hands up if i'm wrong... but never had to yet, and i'm not gonig to start now.. thank you very much
wow looks like i am gonna get my cat fight anyway *sits down with some popcorn*
Share that popcorn Starlite...I brought the beer .... oh wait *digs in bag* I got some dip anybody got the chips they were all out :^)
*chants* fight...fight...fight...fight
*shares the popcorn and passes on the beer opeing up a nice fresh bottle of water*
I'm sorry to dissapoint you ladies, but it was a 'walk over' i win hands down.... please send your prizes to my email...
or in person *winks*
http://www.sligotown.net/index.php/85
The graveyard in the cathedral of St John the baptist...
The graveyard holds the Thornley family plot. The Thornley name has very interesting connections with the Cholera
epidemic in Silgo during 1832, and also with Count Dracula, as Cathrine stoker (Nee Thornley) was the moth, of Bram Stoker. (here's the KO punch)
Bram Stokers biographers Harry Ludlam and Daniel Farson both AGREE that it was the stories Re-told to a young Bram Stoker by his mother, INSPIRED him to write his famous gothic novel in later life...
I hope this clears the matter up...... *wide grins*
or was it this graveyard..?
Whitechurch Graveyard and the ... District Lunatic
Asylum.. that would explain it alot...
(yeah re-read my 1st post, it was ment to say his mother seeing the epidemic, not bram, my bad)
Sugar Lips.. nice description... they do taste ever so sweet..... and cute (like the sugar glider.. check them babies out.. mmmhmm..)
(khayman, that was'nt the expected back up, from one so powerful as you.. go study..... lol)
ARGH.
I'm sorry, love...
It's not a topic I dig on researching.
Daire.. you are right, it was the Irish Famine and the dates are correct also. Stoker was a child during the Famine 1846-1850 and, therefore, impacted greatly on him. There are drawings and scenes from the Irish Famine depicted in his novel, "Dracula"
In particular the graveyard was the "Suicide Graveyard" at Ballybough.
So go ahead if you wish Daire.. the next question is yours. And, oh Khayman you should know where you are going to roll your eyes too before you roll them :)
Since you asked, I travel a lot between London and Ireland... America isn't it you come from?? Niceeeee ;)
Yes, I am in America. London AND Ireland....
*snrk*
OK.. OK... I'll be nice....
ROTFL
"interdum stultus bene loquitur"
but not on this occasion!
Jack, so you know more than his biograpers..... *i'm laughing so much it hurts!!*
CANCER... sort this mess out please... tyvm...
well Dham'pir' i see the site and its as good as any other, but although i cant say you are wrong outright i can say you should watch your attitude. Nobody likes a smartass.
*cries... reaches for razor blades and carves daire into his chest*
:: leans over to Dan and whispers ::
Psssttt... bang the gavel, man. It sounds official when you do that...

;-)
Snoogans!
:thinks he will have to pass on this post, my sincerest appologies, if i upset anyone... ah, well... back to the drawing board... , now for my punishment:
i liek this thread is interesting...took me quite a while to read all the responses lol
Well you didn't upset me, but apology accepted anyway Dham'pir. Thankyou Master Vampire Daniel for kick starting the quiz again.
What was the name of the Vampire: The masquerade clan which has become extinct since the dark ages and no longer exists in modern nights.
I know this one, but I'll restrain myself. I want someone else to have the glory.
(Oh all right, it's because I can't think of a new question right now.)
Well I am seem to have a pretty crappy track record going here . But what the hell... What is the Salubri? Alex for 1000
Nope, i was asking for the main-stream clan that was lost sorry i should have made that clear.
Dag. Finally found a question I know the answer to(I think) and I get beat to it. *shakes a fist*
And here's what you've won, Taymos....
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!
But you do get to ask the next question, Taymos.
(bump)
whoo hooo...I am da winna...weeee..
OKie dokie here ya go..
1936's Son of Dracula where did Alucard keep his coffin? and How did he rise from it?
Guess: In da Attic Tay? umm he slept in his native soil in it .. so I guess when he got up he was a bit mucky? hehhe.. well howzat!
Emmmyyyy.. welcome back.. I missed you..
Umm but no... sorry that is incorect.
Heh, *bows* ty a lot Tay. I looked and looked fer that answer but could I find it...??!! *nope* ..ooh well, maybe next time round :)
While digging for the answer, I ran across this website. It has some hysterical pics and interviews concerning Count Alucard, his life, and his mysterious FOURTH wife. Oh man, too funny.
http://gammillustrations.bizland.com/monsterkid3/html/dracson.html
Ah ha! Found the answer, and it makes me want to see this film!
His coffin rises from the swamp and he flows from it in the form of a mist. NIFTY! Gimme my NO-Prize!
*holds out hands* here you are sir...Your No-Prize....
I have to wait for Big T to say if I got it right. Which is good, because it's going to take me a while to come up with something.
Ahhh Jason .. The google king..
You suck... he he. how convenient being a Vampire and all..
** bows to the great google whore**
Wow, sorry it took me so long to get back to this. Thanks, Taymos, for the reminder!
Ok, here we go...
What do vampires and Married With Children have in common?
Taking a stab at this one.
Amanda Bearse, who played the Bundys' neighbor Marcy Rhodes (later D'Arcy), was the lead actress in classic 80's vampire movie, Fright Night.
No, I'm not joking, Dami. And don't you feel silly, now that Elder Dan has provided the correct answer.
Your turn, Elder D!
Thank you, Jason.
The new White Wolf role-playing system, Vampire: The Requiem, has made sweeping changes over the original Vampire: The Masquerade. The biggest was the reduction of clans from 13 down to five. Of these five, only three kept their previous incarnations' names.
For your lifetime supply of Absolutely Nothing(TM), name these three clans.
Gangrel, Nosferatu and Ventrue.
I get a lifetime supply of Absolutely Nothing(TM) ?! Oh boy oh boy oh boy ... where will it put it all?!
You are correct, Requiem!
Here's an infinitely improbable suitcase to place all of your Absolutely Nothing (TM).
Your turn.
Ooooo....Tardis suitcase! Where do I get one of those?
Heh. Now I have a Tardis purse AND a Tardis suitcase!!!
If only I had a trivia question. Gimme a lil bit folks. I'll get one for ya.
Gosh I could do wit one of those suitcases too!! For a few things to put in my case when I return home ;) !
You still can't take dead bodies thorugh customs, Emmy dear. Tardis suitcase or not.
More's the pity ...
This just in. Hartnell & Baker of Gallifrey, makers of fine TARDIS suitcases and purses, is ordering a recall of their latest merchandise.
Apparently they were shipped faulty Chameleon Circuitry, allowing them to match your outfits. The problems seem to be triggered near British Police Boxes.
Simply return your luggage to Gallifrey for a full refund.
We now return you to your favorite game show.
ooh Zut Req! Guess I just gotta bar-b-que dem then! heh
Ok. Here goes.
In Vampire: The Dark Ages, we learn that the Nosferatu hated and feared their progenitor (head of their line), unlike the other vampire clans.
In the pogrom carried out against the Nosferatu by their torpid founder, name one of the many types of creatures used against the Nosferatu. (These creatures were deemed even more monstrous than the Nosferatu ... imagine that if you will).
Hint: One of the appelations for these creatures is surprisingly familiar.
Ok..for us who love learning new info...and who are actually trying to answer some of these...well ok, so maybe it's only me LOL
How about a little teeny--tiny hint????
Ok, one of the appellations for these creatures is also an appellation for a type of fallen angel/giant (which quite possibly interbred with humanity) much debated - even here on this site on a very old thread. :)
*DING DING DING*
Yes indeedy, you do rock.
The nephilim was but one of the many appellations for the creatures used by the founder of the line against his Nosferatu.
You have won a chance to stump others. Use it well, grasshopper.
Oh sweet Jesus...
LOL
Gimmie a minute kiddies...
Must paint fence and sand de flo'.
Damn ^ >;^{ looks evilly at Khay :^* JK
One of these days when I get bigger I will get one of these answered....but alais I'm still playing on the T-ball team LOL
Man I'm hooked...I love this :^*
LMAO....Ok can you say A-D-D-I-C-T-I-O-N? hehehe I knew you could...
I'd rather be here then out on a street corner looking for rocks LOL
hmmm...I need a pimp...Jason you need another google whore? LOL
Ok. Dami? I can now definitively say that, YES, lettuce can come out my nose. The mustard ... IT BURNS! IT BURNS!
Note to self: Do not take a bite of sammich while reading threads ...
ROFLMAO....thank God I'm only drinking coffe....too much...maybe I should add to my profile...
Drugs Of Choice: Coffee....Cigs...THE Rave...and whoring ones self out, see my pimp Jason.....LOL
Ok back on track...*eagerly stares at screen for Khay's question*
Ok... here we go kiddies. I've waited since my last post to get the phones here at work to stop ringing long enough to formulate the phrasing of this question....
So here it is...
It seems that the Mayan Pantheon has been intertwined with Mexican, Guatemalan and Brazillian legends.
As far as the Pantheon was concerned... there is a god of the underworld that is recognized as living in a cave full of BATS.
The legends insist that this creature (supported with finding of fossils of Desmodus Draculae) ran around draining man, woman, child, cattle and the like.
Now for the question:
What was the name of this God?
Furthermore, what did this God preside over?
Bonus point: In the LEGENDS... this creature went by several names... one very..:: ahem :: HUMOROUS in nature?..
What was it?
Have fun, babies;)
Going to take a shot:
The god is Mictlantecuhtli and he presides over the realm of the dead.
Maybe?
******Dunn DAAAA DAaa Duunnn***
The "snatch bat" or "death bat" of Mayan legend. It was supposedly a giant bat which attacked human beings and other large animals, drinking the blood. it was also known as the "sudden bloodletter". Fossils of Desmodus draculae, the giant vampire bat, support these legends. there have also been skeletons of D. draculae found which were sub-fossil, of very recent age. These suggest that the bat was still common when the Mayans were around, and may still be today.
And Taymos wins it...
Well done, brother, well done...
Snatch-bat.
*snicker*
I think I have a new insult.
"You whorish snatch-bat!"
*chuckle*
*grin*
Beat me to it, Taymos. heheh Damn this work thing.
Peaches, indeed.
In which movie did the master vampire sleep in an actual bed?
And also when he slept, he was in an ash like form.
ps: Jason I believe the Sire you referred to afore.. **whispers**umm He's a She..
** Shhhh I won't tell.**
The Sire
Wild guess.. Vampire Ash slept in a bed in , "Vampire Journals" pulls a silly grin n' then *pokes* the big man gently
Very good Em. Now what form did Ash take as he slept?.
Umm, most I can get on this is that he changed into a creature at night... Ash had a great love for woman and music and I noticed these lyrics repeating often in my searches..
Vampire Love"
Sub-cult fantasy, vampire love
A carnal sacrifice of the virgin dove
In the midnight court I scent your blood
Innocence drowning in the flood
Tonight I want you in my arms
It's not the end, no
Tonight I'll place you safe from harm
It's not the end, no
Yeah
Oohh
Victorian repression, I fantastise
Chromium lips and metallic eyes
The reverse cowgirl death defies
Virginal sinners tell sadisitic lies
Tonight i want you in my arms
It's not the end, no
Tonight i'll place you safe from harm
It's not the end, no
Soul searching on your knees
The time is always now for eternity
Black death market uniform
Submit unto my kiss and you'll be reborn
Yeah yeah
Sub-cult fantasy, vampire love
Erotic bombshell, she's the god above
Give me cardinal sin, sensual head
Vapour trail vision, I'm glad I'm dead
Tonight I want you in my arms
It's not the end, no
Tonight I'll place you safe from harm
It's not the end, no
Tonight I want you in my arms
It's not the end, no
Tonight I need to feel your charms
It's not the end, no
It's not the end, no (It's not the end, no)
It's not the end, no (It's not the end, no)
It's not the end, no (It's not the end, no)
Hmmm maybeeee.. he just turned into a creature of ash ..thence da name, but it couldnt be as easy as that, I betcha big fella! Emmy goes back to googly gook.
ooh! cool.. I got it! YAY *smooch* Tay.. gimme a bit until I think of my trivia question ;)
Hehehe... Uhm, am I the only one who noticed that what form the man slept in is stated in the origionla question here, kids???
*snrk* @ Taymos & Emmy
Nope...that was kind of a Homer there guys LMAO... :^*
heh, I did.. but only after I googly gooked Khay! LMAO
Well.. I forgot to think about the next question, been one of those days - get it there for you tomorrow guyz n' gals.
hello, this is a good forum but I don't know any of the answers or questions.
Emmy stretches her fingers.. here I go searched all night for a hard one, that prolly you guys will get in a matter of mnutes heh!
In the Vampire World, what was Project Alpha and who was the Vampire Prince?
From the Movie: Ancient Evil
Project Alpha was a diabolic scheme that produces vampires through superserum injections.
The Vampire Prince was Dr. Frederick Klaus.
Uuum, you have the right Vampire Requiem.. but not the right plot or movie sorrwy hunny :(
Wait, Dr. Fredierick Klaus is correct? (Sorry movie is Project Vampire - was holding the box in my hand and the "Ancient Evil" tagline stuck in my head) ... but the rest is wrong?
it is a different project alpha, same prince vampire?
or for project alpha are you looking for the end goal ... to take over the world by turning everyone into vampires?
movie is right, it was "Project Vampire" and the Master Vampire was Master Frederick Klaus..
Project Alpha, however was....bleh bleh what... to produce the end result you cited.
Req.. the answer I was looking for was..
Project Alpha was a programme to produce Vampires that can act as humans during the day in order to infiltrate businesses and politics, with the end result being a world take over.... just the plot..
I am sure the link you post reveals all of that.. it was a crap movie anyway, I switched over but the plot ensnared my attention in the beginning.
Soo *clap* the floor is yours hunny
THat link is a nightmare ..... I am so sorry... I am asking a moderator to fix my bad bad post
Morey rocks, oh yeah, Morey rules, oh yeah, killed the nasty URL, oh uh-huh ....
*dances the happy gerbil dance*
Ok. Here are the URL's without nastiness.
I hope.
If they suck and I have to go to morey again, she's going to skin me and wear my tattoos.

*** Doe*** OMG I am a doofey one.
Who the hell would the answer in the question.. ** MAN** Stupid, son of a, Friggin, walks off muttering other bad words.
Ok, I just don't have the mental wherewithal to come up with a question today. I abdicate. I apologize for the delay folks.
Emmy, pick someone please or ask a new one.
Again, my apologies.
Okies. Emmy told me to ask the question.
In the Julian May series, "The Galactic Milieu," what was the name the five Remillard children went by when they combined in metaconcert and destroyed/killed family memebers by draining them of their psychic energy through pranabindu perversion, as a group mind psychic vampire?
You certaintly know how to ask good questions Requiem.. I should take a leaf from your book *smiles*
They were metapsychics, and all that they killed were metapsychics.
However, that was the generic term for all with the mental faculties of redaction, creativity, coercion, farsense, etc.
What did the group call itself when combined in Metaconcert?
And, THAT, my friend, was an even *better* try. And absolutely correct.
When the five Remillard children combined in metaconcert to devour the metapsychic assays of their victims, they literally became a new mental creature that called itself Hydra.
*grin*
Nicely done.
OKie Dokie I have new Q but I want to make sure It is right before I post it. So you all must wait..
MMmwwwuahhhaha..
In a group of six men.
I stood out among them all.
I walked in the sun when history said I couldn’t.
I stood in a league of my own.
Who am I?
OH! OH! I KNOW I KNOW!!
Wilhemina Harker in the
League of Extraordinary Gentleman!!
GOD I RAWK!!
I am sorry ~K~ But that is completely the answer I was looking for. **DING DING**
Oh dear...
I feel I am at a loss for a nifty question... gimmie a bit honey-bunnies...
Ill up with a question tomorrow kiddies right now i dont have time as it is quitting time.
I go home and eat now.
Be back tomorrow morn' with one for ya=)
*waits for Khay to come back*
hey thats was a pretty good guess... & i loved that movie
Ok, Khayman said I could take her question so here goes. Requiem isn't allowed to answer this since she helped me with it. Fill in the blank:
A murder of crows
A pride of lions
A herd of hephalumps
A pod of dolphins
A pack of wolves
A ______ of vampires.
I s'pose if'n *I* answer it it goes up to @250.00, eh??
ROFL ROFL
ok... :: sigh :: - @ + $
:: toddles off to find the remote ::
Gods.. I don't have a new question if I'm right, but I'm taking a swing at this one.
Is it a Flock of Vampires?
(All with a Flock of Seagulls hairdo?)
My Dark Research Team (DRT) has determined that there are several correct answers to this question to be found in popular fiction. These include coven, flock, and beagle. (I made the last one up.)
So, I'll narrow it down: In the realm of the Laurel K. Hamilton, Anita Blake books, what is the name of a gathering or community of vampires?
You know that it's the man's right by evolution to hold the remote. :-D
*scoff* Only because we let them have that bit of false power. Keeps their Uppity Y Chromosome in line.
Hiya, Vic! Take a shot at the question! Get on your Google horse and RIDE, brother!
Nope...I like that though.
Hint: Think 70's rock band.
Good guess, but nope.
Hint: One of the members of said band was an English teacher prior to becoming a rock legend.
KISS? I hope I'm right cause I'm runnin out of answers
Jason this can't be that easy...Cult of Vampires?/?????
The best I've come across being as I don't have copies of any of her books, just get them from the library or borrow them, would be a pack of vampires.
I look around some more, and I'm pretty sure you've got it Morph, with Kiss
Morph got it with KISS.
