I know lots of people have had dreams with vampires in them, this kind of goes along with the topic Vampire Dreams,

Do you believe that... ::tries to think of actual question::
Are the only true vampires the ones that can feed through the dreams of others?

Might not be the best wording, but I think i got my question through.

No. I don't believe this.

I believe there are many kinds of true vampires: Psy (or Psi) vampires (energy/emotion), Sexual vampires (incubi or succubi), Sanguine vampires (blood) and others.


Vampires feeding exclusively through the dreams of another ... that is a manner of which I have never heard. Please explain more, if you would.

My own belief is that sanguinary vampires are the true vampire and that some vampire hold more than one method of drawing energy but that the others are vampiric creatures in the same respect of energy derivation from other beings. I believe vampires do exist.

I don't currently have a real opinion on this topic, i've never had a vampire encounter. My dreams seem to be blocked ( as i have stated in Vampire Dreams) , I haven't had a dream in a long time, rarely does a dream make it through my 'block' (darned block)... I never have been good at giving an opinion.

THAT is an excellent question - biting them in their dreams and thus feeding either on their blood or the energy it represents?

are you asking if the only real vampires can control our dreams when we dream of them?

Are the only true vampires ones who can 'hunt' people both in dreams and in the waking world, or are they just 2 different types?

In response to the question, yes i think it's possible for other vamps to feed from your dreams, i think that's considered psi energy. I've had a vamp to "psi bite" me on the astral leve. wouldn't that be the same thing practically? i don't know but i think vampyres in general can do a lot of things, and even some that aren't aware of it. Succubus's and Incubus's are known to do this too. *winks*

This sort of sounds to me like it falls a bit in the realm of the Psy Vampire. Or am I just misunderstanding what the abilities of that Psy Vampires are?

i have ran into some people that i didnt know, and they didnt know me, and they could tell me things about me by reading me. some could even do remote viewing and tell me a few things that was happening around my local area that i had no clue of, which was a trip but they don't consider themselves "vampiric" because they can do this. If they fed off from it, then yes they would be considered psi vamps. I would assume same for those that can astral travel and feed off of others if they have learned to do so. *shrugs*

well i think that vampires can come to you in dreams telepathically although feeding im not so sure. because i know there are ways of draining life through sleep but not blood. humans can drain life through sleep so why not vampires. but i do not think that they could feed off of blood through dreams. i dont know though i could be completely wrong

off subject...sort of but still has to do with vampires in dreams....I have had a few dreams about vampires where I'm making mad passionate love to a vampire..
on the note about feeding through dreams could be argued through a metaphysical point of view which one has uconsciously astral projected and is being fed upon in the astral plane.. just an opinion

for a short but simple answer i would have to say yes, i do believe there are such vampires as these.

Dreams are your view into the astral plane. Whatever you think of or imagine alot becomes real on the astral plane. If you think of vampires alot which I'm sure you do, you dream about them. How and why would they attack you there. I think that the idea of vampires attacking you in your dreams is silly.

When a vampire feeds its usually consensual unless there is an accidental feeding which normally happens in large crowds. Vampires don't attack persay but they make sure their potential donor knows well what they are getting into and is somewhat prepared for what may happen.

i wouldn't be surprised if it was possible... i rarely dream myself so i couldn't say much on the topic... though as a kid i'd dream alot about vampire's.

i'm still alittle fuzzy on all the different type of vampires though and if anyone could set me up with some links to look up info i'd really appreciate it.

I believe "vampyre dreams" are just the weakend recilection of being fed off of. I think that the vampire allows the prey to go else where in their mind when feeding off of them.

i beblieve that there are other types of real vampires and to say that you can only be a real vampire if you can feed off of humans (prey) in their sleep would be just descriminatory towards all vampires alike.

vampires do feed off of dreams, but humans can as well, i learned when i was human how to feed from peoples dreams.

yes and no dreams are a type of psychic energy so vampires can feed off them but no but cause we feed off the energy not the drea itself

I had a female vamp in a few dreams and have woken with a body print beside me a few times...does that mean I've been visited in both realms?

I don't believe vampires can feed off you in your sleep, for I learned that one needs a willing donor to feed off. Maybe that doesn't apply to this one, but still..I think it''s unlikely.

I had two dreams about the same, and both times I had the feeling we know eachother, and that he was looking for me (why, I don't know, but I'm working on that, LOL)

No I don't but believe it's the only way but I strongly belive it's just another way to feed.

I believe a vampire in need to feed will search any method available to do so.. thus yes one can and will access the dreams of others - by feeding off the sleeping person in a psi way - but the other person is able to see and feel him - thus leaving the feeling that the vampire has entered the dream.

I think dreams are just a state of mind. Of course if you think about vampires all the time, you will have dreams about them, I am very turned on by vampires, so I always have vampire dreams, but i do not believe that they inflict us through our dreams.

There are diferent types of vampires true.. but they all boil down to being vampyric, thus needing energy - and if the first choice of manipulating energy is not available, then one will resort to other ways.. just like any other being would do to survive.

there are mad amounts of different kinds of vampire

dreams can be influenced by environmental factors (ie an alarm clock comes thru as a siren in a dream etc.) so why not by people? if someone was powerful enough to break into the subconscious mind of another person who is to say that they couldnt have influence in a dream? or even in their waking state.....mind manipulation is a very intriguing power to me...even to just be able to read someones thoughts would be incredible....if it is truly possible to do that then i definately think that you could be influenced or even drained of energy (depending on the intent of the person "hacking into your mind" so to speak)....

well they could be feeding off you while your asleep but in your dreams no.........

I've never dreamt about a vampire. Yet?

we have all types of vamps in my house but i have never heard of a vamp feeding from your dreams we can appear in them but i have not heard of feeding from them great subject really interesting if i may say so... im not an exbert but i know about the people in my house and we have phsi vamps and sexual vamp and blood drinkers and some feed all three ways and more just my thoughts :)

I have had dreams of vampires and I know people that have as well.

I've had two dreams about vampires. In one a vampire tried to get me to invite her in at my back door late at night and in another a vampire floated above my bed.

Whether they were just dreams or something more I have no idea. But only the first on scared me.

Psy (or Psi) vampires (energy/emotion/dream based energy) is pretty perfect. Millions of people sleep for atleast 5 hours.

A dream energy vampire would never be hungry, food everywhere, anytime !

I dont honestly dont believe that the only true vampires can feed off of dreams.

The one dream i can remeber is my ex (i still talk to and he is my soulmate/we will be back together again as one in the future) coming down the stairs into my bedroom then going next to my bed and lay down sideways to look at me,playing with my hair before he awoke me with a kiss. Then asking me to be with him forever and Of course I said yes my dark love then he helped me become fully awakened (which human's would like to say turned) then we left my house and we was never heard from again. :) sometimes I wished that did come true.

I can't honestly tell you if its real or not but I can give you my oppinion. I believe that anything is possible we just have to open our eyes to see how it works. After all many people say vampires are not real but there are those of us who believe. So why can't there be a vampire out there that feeds on our dreams?

Hmmmmm....... vampires that hunt and feed off of dreams. I guess that is probably a psi vampire because dreams cause reaction and reactions cause emotions and thats what psi's do: feed off of emotions.

no I don't believe that I know for sure their are phsyic vampires but as for the blooddrinkers I don't know I have yet to me a real blooddrinker

I think if a vampire is able to wander the astral plane then the vampire is perfectly capable of feeding in the astral plane because everyone doesn't realize that being on another plane is ALMOST like walking around on this one just slightly different but you can still do almost the same things so why not feed

I'm not sure.
However, a few vampires that I dont recognize keep coming in my dreams, with thier fangs bared. Some of them even make sexual advances towards me.
Not that I don't mind, lord no. That would be awsome..when I wake up I feel find however, but I am more motivated and inspired after a dream with vampires in it.

i think dreams are just images of what we fear of or what we want to happen. i know i wish to be bittenby a vampire.... that's why i dream about them

ok well my ex bf had a dream about me biting his wrist and he woke up and had 2 marks on his wrist, now i dont really believe him but you never know, and i really dont think you can feed of the person you dream about otherwise i would be feeding off of Spike, Eminem, Torrie Wilson (wwe diva for those that dont know)

There are many types of vampires. There are psychic vampires and then blood vampires. I believe they can go through our mind but most of them do it because they know us or see us.
