Ok, one thing that has stood out as I've been reading profiles, is how many people have mood-eyes that change colors.

I'd like to know how many people have mood-eyes and whether you see this as a normal thing or if perhaps people with color-changing eyes are...somehow drawn to VampireRave?

I've been in sort of a rut for about 2 or 3 years now (no highs or lows to speak of) and forgot that my eyes had this property (normally sort of a gray puddle color but they used to go bright green for days when I was VERY happy or blue when I was VERY sad)

People that know me have always thought that this was a very strange thing to be happening to my eyes, so it really surprises me to see so many people describing it.

I don't know about all that, I've never met anyone who's eyes changed color with mood. Only after smoking something funky, then mine might be a little red. Does that count? lmfao

well sometimes my eyes will change color depending on the season (crazy I know) but whenever im angry or severly depressed they tend to turn green.

My natural eye color is violet, quite pretty really. They do change color with my mood. So they range from violet to brown and everything inbetween. Pretty cool, hu? I like 'em.

the iris in your eyes is built similar in structure to an acordion.....and in most people the color on the outer and inner folds is actually different in tone if not actually different in color...
so whether they notice it or not...most peoples eyes change a bit....some just get it a bit more extreme....and when your moods shift ....you get pupil dilation and other such things....

the only time my eyes change color is when I'm very angry, they go from dark brown to almost black, don't ask I don't know how they get like that lol

I find eyes that change depending on moods to be fairly common, some you just notice more then others. My eyes for example are hazel, yet certain days they may go completely brown, completly green or ill get cat eyes, a really funky color like really light brown mixed with yellow lol.

Daermon, I used to try to convince people of that. (I had some jackass friends in Jr high/high school who lived to pick out physical abnormalities..primarily in me and try to convince everyone i was an alien/demon/witch/whatever...)

I tried to prove my humanity by mimicing the effect by using different light conditions to dilate/constric the pupils and stuff...I could never get it to work though. The inner part of my eye is grey and the outer part is just..darker so I can make them vary between light and dark, but I can't seem to get "green" voluntarily.

I'm guessing that there's another component of it...maybe having to deal with eye moisture or blood vessels...

at any rate...it's nice to see other people aware of it happening to them.

Elderdaniels and my eyes change as well. His goes from greyish to green when he's happy. Very similar to yours. Mine are light brown and go amber when I am at both extremes.

i have seen my eyes change color, but i don't know if i have any other color than brown. my normal color is dark brown. right now they are light brown, i don't know why. i still have to see if they turn another color.

My eye color changes from a green when I am happy.. when I am mad or sad they change to a clear green. Almost the color of cat eyes. Its kinda creepy .. lol someone said that my eyes remind them of some horror movie... isn't that the sweetest compliment

In high school, some guys in my shop class had a running argument over whether I was more like "the chick from the Exorcist" or "Carrie".
They'd fight it out every couple of days and keep looking at me and saying "we mean this in a good way"...lest I "go horror movie" on them.

my eye color used to change depending on my moods. they would be pure gray if i was really frickin pissed and thats hard to do but they dont change anymore. i think its interesting that the pigements in eyes can change.

My eyes do change depending on my mood. Not anything to drastic, and I did'nt even notice until someone brought it to my attention. But normally they're dark brown, and they range from almost black to a very light brown.

I'm pretty sure its a normal thing. I think most people would notice if they cared to look.

yes there are other factors such as dilation, blood pressure, biochemical response, and numerous others....
but the main one is the tonal shift from the dilation muscles flexing.

Mine change colors to extrems at times .. and on occassion I liek to freak people out by making them change on purpose

I take it kinda normal...
When I was child I had mid dark blue eyes as my whole family has, but then the color changed to muchlighter.
Now its tends to change as my mood changes but it also depends on the sun Id say. I mean on how much it shines.

This is one topic i don't think i'll ever understand because i mean....who really can tell if their eyes change with mood? Do you carry a mirror and when u get mad you think hey im mad lemme get a mirror? Or does someone stop out of argument and say hey..your eyes just turned a color? *shakes head*

My eyes tend to confuse me lol ppl tell me I've got "gorgeus" eyes or whatever and I don't get it how can eyes be attractive?? their just eyes lol but apparently one minute their green the next their darker or lighter i give up lol I'd love to have bright Jade green eye's but unfortunately I am stuck with plain and simple green :)

Someone can tell u as it happened to me or u can be sad and then u look into mirror and u see it....

For example for me the most attractive thing and also what I look on fist are eyes and lips- than hands.
Eyes are called to be the gate to your soul and they often reflect your personality by the way your look is like, u can see the persons mood when u look into their eyes or they can tell what words cant. ....

lol if im sad or mad chances are im not in front of a mirror and nobody is telling me what my eye color is but that's cool if you have someone paying that much attention.

Ok, u didnt catch it up right way.
Example: I know that sometimes my eyes seem to be grey sometimes blue or green...
And during those years I have them I recognized that in certain situation they have been blue some green...Not that I looked at them still or what, but I was sad all the day for ex. I went out and I used mascara- I t means I saw my eyes in the mirror.....than my frien told me what strange color I have.....

my eyes never change

I've light brown eyes, but male friends of mine say they change to an even lighter color; golden if you will. They say it happens during certain moods of mine. Sexual, or during highs. Mmhh Tiger eyes they say.

when i am calm my eyes are dark green. when i am borthered my eyes are lighter green with a little blue plus gold. when i am really pist then my eyes are pure yellow. in the grinch movie with jim carrey. yeah my eyes look just like that.

Fair point I dunno I tend to get it a lot especially when I meet new ppl and it really bugs me.
I like looking into my friends eye's every now and again its my way of checking up on them and making sure their ok

I was tlaking about this with dastard666 the other day, and his eyes change colour too (sorry, I do know how to spell colour, its just the weird spelling difference you have :P.)

Yes, my eyes do change colour. They are usually blue with green in the middle, but this often swaps aorund. My eyes go extremely blue when I have been crying, but when Im really happy, I dont really think to look, but I think they go greener at night.

I think I will keep an eye on this over the next few days,a nd let you knwo if I see any patterns that are very particular.

I dont know if its people who are attracted to vampire rave, but I would say that maybe its the sort of personality, or type of person that ahs this sort of eye change... who knows? :-)

when im mad my eyes turn gray with a blue ring around the iris, when im happy my eyes are a light green with a blue ring around the iris, but when im calm my eyes are a really dark green with a blue ring around the iris, the blue ring never changes...sorry for any spelling errors

my eyes don't change at all... not in colour.

my eyes do go with my mood though... when i smile... my eyes smile too. ask Echo

my eyes naturally have brown, blue and green pigments. If you look into my eyes you will be able to see all three at the same time

I don't know about having Mood eyes but my eyes do chage color. mostly blue, hazel, and green but i'm not sure why. I don't think it has anything to do with my mood but what do I know.

Mine don't change that easily. They sometimes turn into a really really dark green when I'm tired, as in staying up for a long period of time hah, :P
Otherwise they would change to that dark green when I would get angry, but I would have to be really really really furious so that doesn't happen much.

i can never se my eyes but people say my eyes turn redish..and when i am happy they are dark blue when i am normal and dont care they turn blueish grey

idk its never been pointed out that mind fully change but right around the pupel (i think i spelt it right) goes a light brown and they give off a vibe of my mood that i have been told

I must also state that my eyes don't "change colors" persay but I have as I posted earlier brown, blue , and green pigments in my eyes that can all be seen at once. My best friend pointed this out to me yesterday I knew I had brown and green pigments but didn't know about the blue pigments until yesterday.

My eyes scare people, or haunt people it seems........
They are a hazel-green, but go to a very pure green to a dark brown depending on my mood, or at random, if I stare at someone I can make them change at will.

my eye color is brown and sometimes darker brown, but that would be the extent. As for outgoing...his eyes go from a green to a hazel depending on his moods. He just doesn't hang out in front of the mirror to see them and I gawk at them all the time for he has sexy eyes.....grrrrrr.

my eye color changes with the seasons. in the winter they will be grey. and in the spring and summer they will be blue. and in the fall they are green. i like how my eyes change colors. my sisters eyes also do the same thing but with different colors.

My eye colors only change to black ( when my pupils dialate from bright lights,) or white, (when I put my contacts in...)

My eyes are green normally, when I am sad (worse if I cry) they turn a deep dark emerald green. When I am wearing blue, they turn blue. Thats about it for My eye color changing.

Wow, I never knew eyes could change colour - I thought only chameleons could do that. Now don't you just learn something new.. Emmy jots that down :) and runs of to check the colour of her eyes incase they have changed..

Okay, time to put my two cents in. :)

Mine usually change from extreme feelings (like most of the people that have replied to this post), but the most unusual thing that I have yet to figure out, is after I have some kind of contact with water (i.e. washing my face, going swimming, or getting out of the shower) they tend to turn a bright green.

i just found out that my eyes could change to black (freaky) and they could sometimes go a bit red :)

My eyes were blue when I was born. As I got older, they turned brown. It was annoying cuz my mom would always sing that Van Morrison song to me---Brown Eyed Girl. Well, not liking my eye color I did a glamour on them to change them to green. Well, I fucked up on something and now they're deep blue in the very center, green, yellow, gray, and brown. They change color with what ever my emotions are. But if I'm just regular old happy or whatever they stay that multicolor.
