my favourite has got to be mudvayne- they are just awesome! also slayer- one of the best bands of all time ( bring on dwonload!!!) and also adema( before they changed their singer) but dont get me wrong- i do still like them- i just think they should of kept Mark Chavez ( their former singer)

Rammstein are my favourite band and I like them because to me, they produce good music and they are talented.

Well I can't really list them all but i'll say three of them. First I have to say Iron maiden is my favorite one of the only bands i know that you can listen to the whole album without skipping a song. Lets see second mercyful fate great band exspecially with king diamond as lead singer possibly one of the pioneers for death metal. Third its either dimmu or morbid angel. Guess you can say all I listen to really is black or death metal.

Incubus? Never really could get into them but rammstein is cool saw them in concert once.

the song by incubus that got me hooked was the song called "warning" then stellar then it just domino'd (sp) but thier style is not anything paticular they just dress like average dudes, all of them are diff in their own way, not all of them are goth, not all of them are prep just averege guys making kik ass music.

Incubus and Ram are both good bands really.. they dont neccessarily inspire me, but they do help me to have fun..

nine inch nails, the old discs are still amazing. new stuff is decent, but it does not compare with the old. it was just, right place--right time; memories in my life.

AC/DC, then Metallica

Type O Negative-just Awesome!! They just keep going, no matter what. they are not mainstream, but can rock hard in several genres.

i dont think i listen to 'rock/metal' cause i dont kno what in hell i listen to. but i have got to say its either Sex Pistols or ACDC. i dont kno why.

ACDC...is really cool...but i mean my favorite band is simple plan..or cold play...but i do love evenecsnce...i don't know if they are rock but i think they rock!!!!!...lol

with metal i would have to say puya.

The best artist for music, its Glenn Danzig. I'm sorry, he does some damn good work, if anyone has never listened to him, you have to try and find a few of his songs

Mother, Devil's Play Thing, Stalker Song, White Angel/Black Angel, Blood and Tears. These are just a few, but good lord.

These songs also have references to his religion. Like White Angel/Black Angel deal with Cain and Abel, if I think I broke it down right.

there are a lot to choose from but i think i would have to say Static-x ,or marilyn manson, or slipknot,etc. they are all very out there and yet still mediocre.

Your lucky, I wish I was able to see Danzig live. I've seen Metallica and God Smack live so far, and to tell the truth, they are pretty damn good live. You never truely understand a bands ability to play until you see them live.

I have 2: Aerosmith and KISS I have been a big KISS fan since I was 5. I like the two bands because they know if it wasn't for the fans they wouldn't be where they are, and they both put on one hell of a show and give you your moneys worth. I just really enjoy their music, KISS for the heavy riffs and Aerosmith for their ever changing music.

NINE INCH NAILS! its just everything about them that has to be inspireing;)

Damn after seeing all these bands I realized I forgot a couple. One will have be black sabath surprised no one has mentioned ozzy or them yet. Another one is motley crue I guess you can call them a guilty pleasure. Last one will either have to be napalm death or mayehm even venom, sorry for the long list but all these bands inspire some way or another.

I also like many of the bands mentioned-that is why it was hard for me to pick just one. Kiss-awesome. saw them live twice. Cradle of Filth-also rad, live they rock even more. Nine Inch Nails-never saw them, but love them!! Slipknot-the first album rocked, saw them live, dont like them as much now.But Type O will always be one of my favs. Waaayy to many others-wanna know, ask!

i dont have a favorite band. but the band that is closest to my favorite would have to be msi, i dont know why i like them so much, the music just makes me happy. and its always good to be happy!

I have too many bands i like to namey really enjoy Primus and Les Claypool's other bands because they have awesome music and i like the stories and humor in the lyrics

Skinny Puppy, I always loved their music, but then I saw them on the Too Dark Park Tour, and nothing I've seen from any band since has come close. It was like seeing a dark beautiful opera, everything else is just a rock and roll show but that was art.

I love Cradle of Filth, great music, great lyrics,.. Everything about them is lovely. But the band most important to me is Slipknot. Their self-titled album helped me relieve severe anger and it saved me from going on rampages because the songs took the words right out of my mouth.

nin- take anything trent has done since the beginning and it sounds like "modern day" music... way ahead of the times.

incubus- i just love the lyrics... and these guys put on a great show

tool- lyrical genius
a perfect circle- manyard and jordie... perfect blend of voices

oh ya... iforgot all about the most awesome kickass LOCAL bands here in ORLANDO fl.... too many to name... but the one at the top so far is Orphans Of ALiens... great guys, great music... melodic and heavy all at the same time... what inspires me... i know the guitar player.. great heart in this guy... you should check out their site... just message me and i'll let you know what it is when they get it finished... unless you have a myspace account, they're on that now.

Right now... Avenged Sevenfold. And as for inspiring... These guys started this fucking band when they were all barely even 18. And they're doing awesome. Kept working at it. And here they are today.. 3rd cd just came out. City Of Evil (go buy it it rocks.) Just goes to show you what can happen when you keep trying at something you really want.

two bands first MSI b/c....... ITS FUCKING MSI!!!!!! and second is vnv nation b/c thats what started me into industrial back when i was 12!

I've got two: Lacuna Coil - because their lyrics and live concerts are just awesome, epecially their older songs like "Half Life" and "Cold Heritage." Second is Within Temptation because once again, the lyrics are just awesome and they create a musical atmosphere that's like no other. My favorite songs from them are "Our Farewell" and "Dark Wings."

I have more than one. I think my two favorite would have to be Alice Cooper and Rotting Christ. Oh, and Kreator.
