i am a pagan necromancer. i am just curious as to how many different religions there are in this site.
I'm actually catholic but I'm in the process of studying witchcraft and wicca.
I am a Druid.. I feel a calling to serve Nature, and all of Her creatures. My Animal Companians are the Wolf and Raven. I do have a coporeal raven, but the Wolf is my Astral Guardian.
I cant help it, its like i found my true religious home, and it feels great.
I was brought up in a roman-chatolic family, but used to practice wicca, nocturnal witchcraft and a bit necromancy.I stopped but like to read a lot about all types of religions and cultures especially witchcraft and the occult.
I am a Methodist Preachers son......I believe in no type of religion in any shape, form or fashion......
although this would make a great poll. iam a christian faith, i don't attend church much do to the fact i feel most are after one thing money..but do have my own way of worship...
there are probably loads of different religions on this site, me personally am not religious.
I was brought up in a Christian family, but now I'm an Atheist.
Although Witchcraft and Wicca do strike me as interesting religions.
I was raised Roman Catholic...oh and the guilt is with me always and forever ..... for all eternity for now being a non believer...LOL
I am an Athiest but I trust in nature and beleive it finds it's own balance and I can help somewhat ..which I try to do....is that a religion???.....LOL
i was raised in a fanatical christian home
so now im a wiccan
i was thinking of becoming a lucifarian.....
i dont have a religion but i respect and love the God that i know is out thier...
i dont believe in a god i just beleive in a higher being and have my own beliefs. i forgot how to spell it so yeah lol
but yeah we cant talk about all this so its gonna vanish
I've been atheistical for quite a while. I love reading about other religions. It fascinates me. I've been looking a lot into wicca lately. Seems like something's drawing me to it. ^_^ Maybe that's what's right for me, and I just need to find out. =) If not, I'll keep searching until I find what I feel comfortable with.
I was raised Catholic, I know that's going to drop a lot of jaws.... but it's very true. I'm not a practicing catholic anymore but I still have my beliefs on heaven and hell and all that good stuff the nuns taught me in sunday school... and for those wondering, yes, I still have the catholic school girl outfit. :::winks:::
I was raised by a Christian mother and a father that has his own religion...similar to Buddhism or Taoism.
Personally, I find it hard to stick a religious tag on myself, but I'd say I'm a Taoist/Wiccan/Druid, if that makes any sense. I do not worship anyone, but I love the earth, the universe that I am aware of and everything I am not. I feel compelled to defend nature and her laws, and to strike a balance between..everything and everything else.
touchy topic...
i don't believe in anything. i have my own theories but i don't fully believe in them as i don't have the evidence.
Well, in terms of vampirism I tend to try and follow the guidelines of 'The Black Veil' although I dont see that as 'religious' in my own terms. Im interestedin the Strigoi Vii, and in paranormal activity and divination, but I dont actually believe in any sort of higher power, but more entertain teh idea of other dimensions... I cant really explain.
i have my own believe, but it's something like witchcraft and wicca (i'm studiing it for 2 years) and some from induism,i realy trust in OM.
i think people should be more in to they own world's then it would be a better place to live. and also i have lot's with pagan to.
i am mormon but i dont like the people and so i just practice what i wanna practice and do what i wanna do....
i truly appreiciate the fact that you all shared your selves with me on this. i also love that we are all so diversified and yet we all find a balance and common bonds. i love you all for that!
my parent's raised my as a methodist but i'm more of an agnostic now.
i am currently without religion
i'm not a paracticing anyhting i was baptized catholic but i hate the catholic church usually i say i'm episcopalian but i'm not really sure what religion matches my beliefs yet
Would Necromancer and Vampire count as well, or just sound wierd? Just me.
Good thread.
well I have no religion but yet I am every religion...... is there a name for that?
I was taught as a child to be Christian and now that I have gone my own way I am finding that there is more to life than God and Satan
It's called an administrators right to type as much as he dammed well pleases.
Get over it
As for me... Christian.
Mistress Moreish
i thought that we wern't allowed to discuss religion in the forums . . .
well, an admin has managed to oversee that little part, so I'm assuming its alright...
personally, I'm with ElderDaniel in that I'm an "ecclectic agnosticist"...
was baptized and mostly raised a Dutch Reformist, then looked into Presbyterianism, then Anglican, then Wicca, atheism...the list goes on...its just one of those things where I can't really find a comfortable medium, so I roam around a lot.
i figure religion dies with you so it doesnt really matter a whole lot....
as long as the thread dosn't degenerate into 'your beliefs are stupid' kinda thing it usually wont close (unless it's specifically christian, as those threads had always degenerated into such)
hmm.. well of the people I know, some call me a Druid (of the old world), some say Astaru.. *shrugs* I generally considered myself Ecclectic pagan for the most part, but both of those tend to be accurate, I have my matirach Freya, and the goddess I seem to be on loan to atm is Hecate
Well I am a Christian.... feeling like I am the only one, oh well
I was raised in a strict roman catholic home. church every sunday, christmas, easter, and ash wednesday, but i do not belong to any religion. about i year ago, i realized, after alot of pain and inner searching, that i didn't buy any of it. so i am athiest. it sounds cliche, but i really am. that does not mean that i don't embrace the idea of other relgions. it is one of my favorite topics. i have read extensively on hinduism and buddism as well as orthodox, and baptist religions, but i don't follow anything. i am trying to read on pagan religions and wicca, but it is difficult because i am not old enough to live on my own, so all material entering and exiting is controlled. i am surprised i have not been banned more often from here.
Traditional (Luciferian/Spiritual) satanist .
And damn proud of it !
for chats sake:
who are some of your favorite sages, mages, magicians, witches, paganists, etc.
my All time favorite would be...........
[drums]
Franz Bardon! -come guys, who can possibly top that!
: )
I'm agnostic, but I'm open to hearing anyone's views. Feel free to drop a line for any discussions.
My religion is something that I'm always looking at and trying to add to in some way so I cannot say I have a definite chosen religion at this time
If Cancer sees this.......he's not going to be happy about it
I completely agree with what Outgoing said. Believe it or not I am a Christian but don't attend any church for the same reason as he said. I feel that nowadays all they want is for you to give money so I have found my own ways to worship.
why would anyone be upset with this?? we are discussing things in a healthy non-dicriminatory way.as long as no one gets all pissy it should be cool right?
He warned us about this and he already suspended some people because they doing this
Discussions on religion are fine, provided it doesn't get fiesty.
Therefore, as long as the topic doesn't go pear shapped it will stay
Having said that I can assure you the admin as monitoring it closely.
Mistress Moreish
im christian orthodox but i dont care really, i dont believe in god taht much so...
I am into wicca and the arts of the white witch I am to serve nature and all her creations. When nature is unbalanced I restore it to the point it last was before and then celebrate all the celestial prowess of the Lord and Lady of the Silver Wheel
I am a non-practicing Catholic.
I only practice it when my mom drags me to church with her on Sunday. LOL
I'm a learning Qabalist, but it seems I'm turning it to something that suits me more then the actual belief, so I'm thinking I'm pretty much forming my own style of religion, that coupled with the Strigoi Vii teachings, which makes things interesting.
i dont believe much in religion or anyhting of that sort so i guess i would have to say if anything im atheist
Religion is a very clever way of getting people to live in peace and harmony, by giving them 'gospels/bibles and such... for rules to which all good 'believers' should abide by to go to a wonderfully blissful place when you die, or go to a very bad one if you don't.. I bit like going to Disney land Florida... and then having to do with the one in Paris.... At the end of the day, if your religion is helpful and provides some guidance and helps you to have some stability in your life.. Then very well.
A man's ethical behavior should be based effectually on sympathy, education, and social ties; no religious basis is necessary. Man would indeed be in a poor way if he had to be restrained by fear of punishment and hope of reward after death.
Albert Einstein ...and i completely agree with him
...well, since Moreish says it's ok: i have blended three faiths into my own: Judaism, Catholicism & Gnosticism. but, am very curious about all faiths - especially Hinduism, Free masonry and Rosicrucian. 8)
Raised, by an (B) Eastern Star { prottestant society]christi_n[ went into Naval service while still praticing magic, contrast magic is color magic, brown and grey, converted while in the service to Pagan / by state, got out of the service. became Pagan by state, been in a Pagan church was banished in that under its copyrighted chorch.
laughing my assoff for the errors that has occurred since I left to the point they change their name and now three fold has started on themselves.
And we in contrast do not think in purple, just r o y g b br grey.
I am wiccan..I love everything about it..I was raised as christian..I have also been mormon and jahova witness but found my way to wicca and have never been happier..I love talking with people about their religion...and helping out other new wiccans..I also enjoy talking to wiccans who have been for a while...It fascinates me!so feel free to drop me a line anytime would love to make new friends with other wiccans!
Keep on topic, this thread is about religions. Wicca is not a religion, a religion requires a covenant with God; Wicca is a lot of gushin rhyme. And an airhead is no less an airhead for speaking in rhyme, as a liar is no less a liar.
