What I'm asking is when infected does one know that it has happened, or would it just feel like an illness? And is there any signs before hand that could allow you to avoid it?

I think you'll know if your infected buy the way you think. Or act. Depending on what spirit you have, you'll act accordingly. It could cause you to suddenly hate the people you once loved, beyond normal measure, and usually for no reason at all, if not a petty one. It could cause you to be violent, and you could be coherent when you do it,..or not. Just watch what you do. If you don't like anything you do, look up a few spells to purge what it is in you. But the spells you use have to be made specificly for what spirit you have, or else..you have another gateway for another spirit to enter, or the one you have could get worse.

And I thought that displayed by people were from the years of drug abuse. ~shrugs~

Come on people are there still such superstitions that people just have to promote? Hasn't mankind gotten over such petty beliefs?

Actually as a rational human being I would have to say that I am in no way afraid of, or concerned with such petty superstitions. As in there is no such thing as evil spirits. I will go so far to say that those who believe such things are delusional, and seriously have other issues that are far more concerning then any "evil spirits".

"Evil spirits" are nothing but a fabrication of religion, and it is promoted by the followers of religion as a simple, yet consistent excuse for impulsive disruptive behavior. It is the same as claiming "The Devil made me do it." It dismisses people from acting antisocial.

People used to actually think that it was evil spirits that caused disease.. guess what.. eventually it was discovered that germs cause illness... now is it your intent to have people still consider that there are "evil spirits" that "effect" people? Do you see how that makes you irrational, and illogical, and superstitious. Would you rather simply chant, or do rituals over a sick or unstable child.. or would you take them for professional evaluation? Just think how many people line up for faith healers because they are told that they need the"Holy Spirit" to drive out "Evil Spirits". Aside from the ones with hypochondria none are Ever healed. So anyone who tells you that you have "evil spirits" has an agenda, usually involving a method (that they can provide you) to "cure/relieve" you of your "Evil spirit".


So what if the best way to "cure" yourself was to not believe in such shite in the first place? What if the fix was preemptive?

Thats just it, you're blurring the lines of reality for the sake of what-if. When the evidence is clearly not-so.

The problem is that when someone phishes for symptoms related to X people are free to substituite A-Y and it varies by culture to.. some just call such "illness" as nothing more than misguided "chi ". Some even go so far as to believe in family curses, or Heirlom curses, a popular one being the alleged curse on the Kennedys. It takes away from the real core issues. the human element.

I would say that it is in rare circumstances that this could happen. Either you successfully "summoned" something not of this world, or you did something to "offend" the said spirit. Energy rules this world. Some have more energy than others. If you're always feeling lethargic, lazy or just slothful, then most likely something is feeding off of your energy. Or you're just a unmotivated lazy bum expecting to be spoonfed. By infected, I don't suppose you mean "possessed". There are levels of possessions and by infected I infer there be slight disturbances to your life. Sometimes my luck can be so low that I can't help but feel that I am 'infected" by some spirit. Perhaps that could be a sign. Just stay positive, do some prayers if you're the spiritual kind; meditation, self-help books are a good place to keep a healthy mind and spirit.

Also, if you're susceptible to negative energy, do stay away from it. Too many people trying to play around with these things. Better safe than sorry, they say.

I believe that anything at all is possible. It would be hard if it was a spirit evil or not or an illness of some kind. Also a spirit can be with you but not within you.

Dabbler, My Partner Luke and I often have experiences where we feel that we have an evil spirit within us and we are PAGAN and we get drained of our energy. I am also a sanguine vampire and have been since I was young.

You are full of shit and you need to look at this thread carefully and think about what you say BEFORE you say it.

Actually to be Full of shit one must be retentive. I am not retentive, it is you that hold the belief, not me. If you are so deluded into thinking/believing that you are "infected" then fine go right ahead.. but you will have to realize that I am not impressed, or intimidated by your belief, or any other superstition.

As far as your experiences go it could well be an example of reoccurring hypochondria, which you then relieve with the placebo that is what you imagine to be "drawing out the evil spirit", or "feeding".

Might I ask why you felt compelled to include (as if by after thought) the idea that you identify yourself as a vampire?

when I am infected with an evil spirit I wear a plaster (band aid) and I put some disinfectant cream on it. Works everytime for me... lol

The most evil spirit I have ever encountered (and been effected by) had to be Old Crow Whiskey.

Mine was blue lable Vodka, hit the spot. I was infected for a few days after, lucky for me it soon went away.

Back in the old days most believed that people demonstrating abnormal behavior are possessed by malevolent spirits, or if they were born with deformities they were a demon child.

I personally think that some cases it is a combination of mental illness and possession...sometimes one leads to the other...but for the majority of cases I think it could be a mental illness misunderstood by the surrounding culture. and perceived as a possession.

There are some things in this world that cannot be explained, ever since humanity had started to grow and evolve. People have forgotten about these type of things, but just because you do not see it.. Or feel it..? Does not mean activities or forces do not exist..

Evil spirit..Ok!!! From the evolution of man, evil has been around and the infiltration into the though, has been there. If what we are assuming is true, then, those pesky people who are committing a crime, as we speak, has been taken by those cool demons. Those people who are in jail, because their actions got then there, are posses by evil spirit. There are many warning signs but all are not effected by all that posses you depends on who or what it is. Can't stand Godly Idols, change in voices, moods, and sometimes your eyes change color. It's hard to determine if your possessed. Most people think your crazy or diagnose you with Bi polar or schizophrenia.

Well I'll start by saying that a lot of folks in this thread have been down right abussive in their responses and for no other reason than there own attempt to invalidate the question that the poster asked without adding to the debate or affectivly answering the question.
