And meanings. Ensuring it stays in its correct path of events and context.
Here now is the 21st Century version.
Around the time of Christ, there was a group of people. So called outcast strange ones different ones, (old time EMO’s).
They ended up in dribs and drabs from across the world, to become the main followers of Jesus of Nazareth.
Upon the crucifixion, the events that led to it and those during and after. Led them to fear persecution.
With this fear many became cave dwellers, night hunters, shadows of invisibility leaving as little trace of their presence as possible.
At first, after the round up of Jesus of Nazareth and the bashing of Peter of Rome and several others. The old-time EMO’s,
Whose mindset is not so much different than modern counterparts, became known as “Those of the Gathering”. They hid from
Percussion, living mainly within an around the ancient catacombs, doted around the Holy Lands and Middle East. They would
Come out at nighttime to feed and gather supplies.
Over time this life left them looking rather strange to those that happened to spot them. Some of those tunnels in the catacombs
Were quite small, producing a hunch type effect on their bodily movement, they also moved about oddly and quickly in the night?
As their night vision and stealth at knowing the terrain through darkness earned them the title of shadows.
By the time the Roman Coliseum was hosting the Christians being fed to the lions. Those of the Gathering, their offspring were being
Born into a life of darkness lead by fear. Their skin became paler and the bones distorted, mainly through lack of vitamin D (sun light),
Calcium and other nutrients. Their cloths, mainly dark to help them conceal. So to the outsiders they became known around the globe
By many names and descriptions, along with odd behavioral reports.
Further along in the time line, those of the Gathering began to separate and find new places to dwell as their population grew.
This eventually took them to several points in the known and unknown world over the centuries.
During the Crusades and the Inquisitions, the fear of the Gathering reached epidemic proportions.
Somewhere during these times, their own beliefs and interpretations of the history and way of life began to deteriorate
And things like The Last Super became obscure. With the wide spread of the ones that held the knowledge of
Sacred Rites and Rituals, leaving clans and areas to spread out ECT.
It got to the point were the Ritual of Water being turned into Wine and the Bread being turned into Body (Last Super). Became that
They must drink Blood, consume Flesh. After all they were tort, Jesus of Nazareth said “Do This In Memory Of Me”.
The drinking of Blood along with the Flesh consuming, left many of them feeling better after a while, put down now to the fact that the
Extra vitamins and minerals would be like a sugar fix to the average person these days.
This led others to seek out those spread further away, and pass on this information. It is said that here is were the true legend of the
Hollywood Vampire gets its roots. Some of those that moved from camp to clan were observed doing these rituals along with their cloths
Stealthy moves, and changed appearance through time; the Urban Legend of the Vampyres was born. Added to and changed over time
Till, Ann Rice, gave us the ongoing modern version.
Other events that add to this are the fact that a Vampyr, will not go near running water. This came about due to those of the original
Gathering fearing their lives would denounce any contact to the so-called Christ. This included the Baptisms in water, or stories of
Walking on water, ECT. The same goes as for being scared of a wooden cross.
Their Immortality comes from the miss interpretations of the Eternal Soul of Jesus of Nazareth at the Resurrection, along with villages
Claiming, that the same person has been alive and youthful for decades. A sort of Down Syndrome Effect, were the appearance of one is
Similar to the other (hereditary genes at play)
The ways of the so-called, Pyre in different shapes, forms and actions. Is attributed to the spread of The Gathering and their loss
Of the Original Ritual Ways. Today though there has been, breakthrough, with the decoding and understanding of documents found
Many centuries ago. These trace back before the original Gathering. It tells of the ways of the original Breed and what event changed them,
Into the hidden society, they are today. A plan is currently underway to seek out, find and re-group the Gathering back to the true Order of
Correct Rituals and Masteries of the Breeds Mysteries, Magic and spell of times past.
