A lot of movies have come out about vampires and views are changing about the vampire...was the first Count Vlad the Impaler or Judas. Can vampires touch a cross or holy items. And most importantly do they walk among us and I mean real die with a wooden stake vampires. any other changing views to be add are welcome..I am just wondering the thoughts of everyone here
I beleive that vampires exsist and I think that there was already a thread like this and all.
I don't see why they couldn't touch "holy" items... I don't think there are really "movie-type" vampires walking about. That just seems silly.
But who knows--anything is possible.
It has been stated before...but...
Vllad the Impaler was whom Dracula was based upon....Vlad was real...perhpas the rest was real as well.
There is another thought out there that the "cursed" one was Cain....and another that the soldier who peirced Jesus side was also "cursed" to walk the land forever.
i think that vampires can touch holy items and that they cannot die by wooden stakes and that they can eventually die but they live for centuries without dying of old age
plus they can eat other foods as well they just get stronger by drinking blood
From what I have learned on this site is that real vampires are for the most part like other humans. Yes they can touch holy items. They can get diseases just like the rest of us. Yes they can die by a wooden stake because any human will die if you drive a stake through their heart. They just have the need to either feed on blood or energy that other humans do not have. Now as far as real vampires as how Hollywood portrays them, I don't believe they exists.
I agree with all of the things that have been stated above, no need to reiterate them. However, I think that as far as real vampires go, they can walk among us, and the sun does not make them shrivel up and die, it merely affects them, like it would any other light skinned person that spent too much time in it. Also, I think that some people are not necessarily the real type of vampire, but are very similar, only human. I, for example, am not a really real vampire, but I cannot stay in the sun long and tend to be more awake at night and sleepy during the day. I love the taste of blood, and sometimes get memories from times that I could not possibly remember. However, I like garlicy foods far too much! (lol)
I think Hollywood has made them into so many things that they are not! Sure they walk among us, they can probably do all the things we can, only a little more! I think they can touch holy items, eat garlic, walk in the sun, all those things!
hollywood distorts everything but as for me i believe in the existance of vampires, not so much as immortal
it is all in the eyes of the individual , hollywood has there beliefs and we have our ,personally i believe they are just as you and me ,they drink blood ,they can go out in sunlight , they are just more in tune with darkness rather than light so they prefer to stay where they are most comfortable
Okay Didnt Vampires come directly from St. Valentine who Drank the blood from his victims and ate their hearts [thus Valentines day] And then others started to follow the method he started. In my beliefs The movies make Vampires out to be these horrible people but No. I mean Yeah they hurt people but they dont burn from the light. Suck the blood of others to live. Cannot touch holy crosses. Their normal people like you and me and They just occasionally drink blood from others or from themselfs asa natural high. At least thats what I believe. =]
Well fiction is someone thinking they live forever in the same body....(believe in reincarnation), fiction is someone believing they can metamorph into and animal or turn to mist or become invisible at any given time....
Now real is what many of us vampires are..vampire souls in a human body that feed off of energy be it blood or pos/neg energy to keep the soul alive...
I dont know who the first vampire was or anything like that, but I believe that there are people out there that do drink blood and do actually believe they are vampires.
Simply put, movie vampires don't exist. It's physically impossible for a body to live forever.
As for psy and sang vampires, yes, they exist, and live normal lives just like the rest of us. Anyone can touch a holy artifact or relic. There's no such thing as a person who's inherently evil.
As for the first. Why can't people face it that no biblical and/or mythical reference is going to be correct. Their origin predates written history. I don't personally know who the first was, nor do I care. I know a few who DO know, but I'm certainly not going to pry for pointless information...
holy crosses?
well religion my fear and hatred of it caused me to become a vampire actually
but now I see when I cross as a holy man to the evil side
when I write a word with the letter T in writing or a t it never shows up after I have been holy and crossed
or crosst
crossed t
a t is a cross alphabetically speaking
and also after I have sinned and I have crossed over to a new dimension, I wake with a start after exactly 4 hours of sleep
the 4 is the numerological cross
but that is juts the observation of a made vampire
there are born vampires and then there are the Hollywood vampires, those are different.
The old poster from last summer and spring said hollywood is symbolic, so it is not to be taken literally, vampirism is a religion oft misunderstood.
But born vampires I think cannot eat garlic and they might be the evil vampires,
just thinking out loud now
I can eat garlic,
so I guess whjat makes you good or evil in life is tolerance for garlic,
if you can't cook with garlic that makes you pretty angry, and then you exact your revenge, because garlic tastes so damn good
(half joking)
most of thats Hollywood. holy things? come on - a cross ha ha ha - so far the sun hasent burned me to a crisp.
But thats just what i belive. if you think the same, well than mabe im not crazy.
Well, firstly, there is no proof what-so-ever that Vlad Tepes was the first vampire. There's actually no accounts or proof that he ever actually drank blood. He was simply a ruler that liked to be vicious when dealing with enemies.
Secondly, I am a vampire. I can touch holy items, I just choose not to seeing as how I do not believe in God. I find holy items to be a waste of peoples faith and belief.
As far as undead vamps...I don't know. I mean, I'd kinda like to believe they exist..but seeing as how there's no real proof of them being real...kinda hard to say. It all depends on your beliefs, and how far you are willing to take them.
Well, I think that vampires do indeed walk among us. I think that they are imune to holy items, silver(thats werewolves) and sunlight, but i do believe that they die from a stake to the heart or decapitation. I don't think they sleep in coffins, but they are cool, and I know that they drink blood! I think that they get their blood from willing doners or blood banks though.
It's really your decision on what you think about vampires though. I can say what I want, but I can't make people to agree with me.
Vampires are real alright. I would say they can touch holy items and not receive the death penalty. I'd also be willing to be they do walk among us.
True story...
I had a friend who was in search of something outside or above our beliefs and practices. If anyone has read The Historian, this was much like his mentallity. He would leave for weeks at a time to go study something, but never came back with stories to tell--he would never tell me about them. Seven years ago he came to me and said he would be gone for a long time and he wasn't sure he would come back to Rochester. He didn't leave, and I have seen him 10 times since. I can't say he is something else, but he didn't look like the same man I knew. Every time I have seen him he has looked directly at me, starred for a good, long time.
I don't know. Drugs maybe? Maybe I did something to piss him off. We were like sibbling, so I wouldn't know what would make him do this.
Many of the myths of Vampires I can't believe, can't get my head around them. I am a skeptic by nature, and much like my friend, I need to study, record, and experience everything before I believe it. Given the little strange happenings in my life, I am not sure this is the right thing to do or even safe, where this topic is concerned.
Well, if you had just watched or read "Interview with a Vampire" you would have known these questions. Louie explains it all. ~ Billy
