From what people say, if someone dies they either go to heaven or hell.

But there is alot of talk about reincarnation. Is this a choice? or does it reflect on thats persons life? Also when someone dies their spirit can remain in the human world.

So if someone dies while feeling angry and full of rage, that persons spirit can remain. So will this spirit always be angry? If so what are its reactions to living people going to be like?

that is a very good question and i do not know the answer to it, but thought i would share what i have experienced....

i do not know about those that are angry but i do know about those that died in battle.

There is alot of fear and pain and confusion, especially at the D-Day Battle of Normandy. i could feel soldiers of both sides wondering around not knowing where they were or what was going on or what to do now. There was alot of sorrow.

i have only rarely seen spirits but i can sense their presence very well and can feel what emotions they are feeling.

i personally believe that a spirit doesn't "cross over" if they believe there is unfinished bussiness. In a battle field the unfinished business is the battle itself and so the soldiers alot of times do not understand themselves that they have died and what has happened therefore the not crossing over.

i know i have been places that were considered "haunted" but i have never felt the emotions of a spirit seeking revenge but of confusion of not understand what was going on, of not understanding that they had died.

Alot of "encounters" with ghosts are about the spirits trying to understand what happened and where they are right now.

At least this is my opion based on my experience and my beliefs, but someone else may have a different take on it all together.....

with my beliefs once they know they are dead then that is when they do pass over, but i guess there are those that know they are dead and yet are so angry that they try to get revenge on the ones that they are angry at, but once those people are dead what happens to the spirit that still won't pass over?

What can angry spirit do to a living person?

well we have a spirit inside of us so they enteract with our spirits, i have never been physically hurt by one, but i suppose it is possible, but i know that it can make you feel emotions such as fear and sadness. i have also had the feeling that something was sitting on my chest before and making it very hard to breath, but i don't know if that was a spirit or was someone that was astroprojecting to me......

I think that those suddenly taken or extremely distressed may affect people and places connected to their demise.

I'm still confused on what I believe on many of these subjects, but for now I am leaning more towards a balance of choice and also of how the person lived their life.

If a spirit is angry, it will remain angry till it is set at peace, or till justice was served. Such as if the person was murdered and the person who killed him was never prosecuted. It's reactions all depend upon what type of person the spirit is dealing with.

I have had a few experiences with sprits… nothing major though. A few times when I was younger in my old house I would feel a presence either a dark or a light one. I never quite figured out what it was.

Whereas with my friends… they have had quite a few experiences. One of my old friends she used to have a ghost that would follow her almost everywhere, it resided in her basement. She also used to wake up with cuts and scratches on her body that she couldn’t remember getting.

Another friend who used to see dead bodies, not quite the same as ghosts though. They never hurt him.

Finally I had a friend that I met in the hospital who had let a spirit enter her body. It caused her to do things that she would have never done normally. The spirit tried killing her and she’s never really been the same since.

i've come to agree with my mothers views on the cristian heaven/hell thing. it's really a wierd mix of alot of after life beliefs. basically the belief that one must continue reliving lifes (being reincarnated) until they do it "right" or "learn" a particular lesson. once this is done they are able to move on to a higher place be it heaven, nervana or what ever. however until that point one is reborn to this plane "hell". as for spirits, i will assume you mean ghost. as there is a diferance in my book. ghosts are ones who have not been reborn as of yet or those who have chosen not to pass on or be reborn.

once you die, then you live forever, no heaven no hell, you just merge into the life force

i do not like refering to spirits without a physical body as ghosts because i do not think it represents them correctly

My personal belief on spirits f the deceased are as follows:

A spirit can remain on this plane after physical death, though it's likely uncommon. Many spirits retain a connection with the physical realm after passing, which can result in a physical manifestation, or at the very least, a strong energy signature that can be picked up by those who are sensitive to it. Emotions probably have a strong affect on it...

The only thing that I have noticed with emotions being passed on. Is when you see a happy person who has died. They look at peace. Someone who was grumpy or was known for a being hard on people I noticed they didn't look as they are in peace while laying there durring the funeral.

As for reincarnation it is like heaven and hell. It is part of a teaching that you where brought up in. IMHO people will have all questions answered after they step into the life after.

Hmmm.. everyone looks the same to me at a funeral... dead and heavily made-up.

Not happy, not said.. just.. lifeless. That is unless it can't be an open casket, such as a friend who ate a handgun...

My view on what happens after death... is.. lots of rotting. And not much else.

There are hundreds, if not thousands of beliefs... religious, spiritual, ancient beliefs... and.. logically, how many can be accurate? I guess all of them could be, but that would be one f'ed up and confusing afterlife.

I'm more of the belief none are accurate... but, that's just me. So, what happens to emotions? All the negative ones get passed on to the people at the funeral.. they mourn, they cry... then they remember the good times and laugh... then they have to deal with insurance companies and lawyers, and the anger comes out....

...and it keeps going round and round...

If there is such a thing as an afterlife, and I believe there is. (it's a long conversation if you really wish to talk to me about it, send a message) then I also think it is determined by the Self. You do what you want. It sounds like a relatively simplistic answer, but in reality it is far from simplistic.

Simply stated, in our lifetime on this earth we experience objective realities and deal with the "real world" on many different levels. However, this incarnation also permits us to be aware of things that are beyond normal perception. Some of us see spirits, etc.

So, in this lifetime we have the opportunity to learn and absorb information and at least get a start on what it means to continue on after life. Whether we succeed or not is another question altogether.

But I believe that there is enough time to study and learn what it would take for the spirit to move forward and onward after this life has ended. Just my opinion....

Well maybe the motions themselves are somehow left behind in a way that they are a pure source of energy, but nothing more, not feelings just emotions pures, there is a differenceand it left a trace, sicne our soul is pure energy so therefore has nopersonality or feeling, it si logivcal to assume it release the emotions or take then with it.

Simon, what's to stop emotional energy from lingering behind after a spirit passes? When people have a heated argument and then leave the room, more often than not there is lingering negative emotion in the air. Emotions generate energy, so why wouldn't there be emotional carrion from a spirit that's passed on?

depending on the soul that has passed on and the state I suppose it has an effect on anyone that the spirit comes in contact with, its can go either way my best suggestion is dont piss off the spirits because I know for a fact how vendictive they can be.

I dont believe there is a choice. I think it is how one believes and what one believes. I believe in reincarnation. Passing on emotions, I don't think they can be passed on, but like one already said perhaps new emotions are created.

LaMuert66, I think I feel the same way about the energy signatures as you call them. I too believe they are short term. For me unlike Birra, I do think the soul/spirit of a person moves on or remains for a time to take care of whatever business.

Even for those who believe your last breathe is it. I think that strong emotional energy stays here and can be sensed.

I agree also...I have had past visions of my own death and whatnot with reincarnation and its really difficult not to feel the emotions of the vision itself as it plays in your mind...over and over.

I don't know for sure myself either. As u all know from my post on " Grumpy Spirits" I had been having a hard time with a couple who linger in my home. I think some spirits can linger when they die fast without really knowing it has happened. The carrying of their past emotions can reflect on others when they are confused and irrational. I have experienced this. One of the spirits in my house was living a hard life as a drug addict and he died from an overdose, instantly. Do u think that he could have carried over his past emotions and problems? He was probably unaware that he had passed.

Well describing death is impossible. I don't think anyone here could honestly say that they have died and came back. But i guess it is possible.

As for your spirit, if he does not know whats going on, maybe he needs reminded. If that is a good idea.

Given my non-belief in a heaven or hell, and with re-incarnation a plausibility, I would assume that when we die, our energy (strong emotions and memories included) has got to go somewhere. If it does go somewhere, then I would like to believe it goes into the layer of energy that I believe surrounds this planet.

If reincarnation is true, then this energy, which is mixed over time joins with a new living organism to create a new "soul", which lives out its life, until death at which point the "energy" or "soul" rejoins the collective global energy again, thus completing a cycle.

I am not sure if this is actually how it works, but to me it makes the best sense, yet I remain open to anything which would make better sense. That's just my 2¢.

I diffentaly believe in reincarnations.My friends think I am a reincarnation of The Malacor Bloodline's last decenant which her name Is Sakura Seiya Malacor....Also they think I am the reincarnation of a fallen Angel named DeannaDrea' Alliyson Waters aka Destroyer Angel(Angel Of Destruction)..I believe that cause there is such things as reincarnations as well.Even though my stupid ass religion doesn't support it..I say whatever...Overall I believe in it.

i believe if a spirit is still here on some plane of existance then they're are hanging on to something or someone, such as unfinished business or what have you, but i figure just live your life to the fullest and dont have any regrets youll be fine where ever you go when you pass on in the physical world

Semi-irrelevant, but StuXCore, your lack of past-life memories doesn't necessarily mean you have a newer soul (you very well could, but lack of memory is no indication). Many people don't remember their own past lives. Even those with remarkably old souls. It's something that has to be developed over time. Gradually they surface, piece by piece.

I do believe in reincarnation and pesonally have a very old soul. I have always been wise beyond my years, or so I have been told. Additionally, I always seem to know the right path to take in life prior to having actually learning the critical facts to make the decisions.

As for spirits, I believe that you don't need to be an angry soul. The person could simply have unfinished business. If the soul is angry then they are going to be hateful and have anger towards the living. I am not sure if those that are angry will ever get over their issues.

I think that when you die, your emotions continue on as a part of the entity that is the Self. That's if one has manifested the ability to take their life force and continue onwards.

I too have an older soul, and have also been told I have "wisdom beyond my years," but I haven't personally seen much evidence for it yet. lol.

I tend to think that i wouldn't know i was me if i came back in another life so does it really matter? Is it just a case of having something to believe in rather than nothing?

It's not really possible (that I'm aware of) to come back with a different soul, since your soul is the part of you that never dies.

It's generally important to be aware of your past lives, because it gives you a sense of who you really are, rather than who you are in this life alone. It's a step up in spiritual development.

I think this question has to do with what a person believes.....

I do not believe that when a person dies that they immediatley go to heaven or hell.....

I believe that the spirit stays here unless it chooses or maybe even is chosen to go on to the next life.... It really is a complicated thing, and if you ask me why I believe this way..... All I can say is that I do.... I cant back it up with any sort of theory that would make it make more sense.....This is just what I believe though. :)

Reincarnation happens in two ways.
One is through Karma. This is because there is a balancing that must be made. Unfinished business remains. Emotions will play a major part in this. The second way is by choice. This happens because we choose to be a part in Life. There are many lessons that may be learned here on Earth that will benefit us in our spiritual growth. Emotions are the connection that brings us to our spiritual selves and is what we take with us when we leave our physical bodies. Something to keep in mind when jealousy and hated is experienced. Do you really wish to carry these feelings with you? I think not.

Well what about happiness? We would want to carry that on surely!

Maybe it is best that emotions are not carried on, but if even the spirit was to be at peace, then it could go on to its next stage.

I guess it depends on what part of a person feels emotions when we're alive. Is it our body that expresses and feels emotions or is it our soul that expresses and feels emotions? I believe that it is our soul for our body is only a shell. So after death, when the body falls away and only the soul remains, should the soul still be able to feel emotions since it was what felt emotions when we were alive. If the soul is angry and it does not cross over, then, yeah, you could have an angry ghost. The angry ghost might respond to people the same way that an angry person could.

I would say that based on my position that a spirit could create a new emotion. However just like humans don't get over being angry until the situation is resolved, a spirit probably won't either. If think about it, a spirit has to be able to change their emotions because if it didn't then it would not be able to become peaceful and cross over. It would be condemned forever. A fate that no one should have.

I do believe some spirits have a tougher time crossing over than others. It may be unresolved angry that causes it, but I believe many other things could cause it as well. I do think our emotions are part of our soul as well as something controlled by the brain. So, yes we take them when we pass on.

well my theory is that when someone passes on if they are filled with rage and anger there spirit will also be enraged for all eternity, kind of like a curse for not liveing out the way it was sapposed to be.

I wouldn't say the best emotions go away, but the strongest emotions are probably the most likely to remain here, since stronger emotions generate more emotional energy, and would consequently remain longer.

If a soul is trapped here it needs to remain until it has completed what it feels it need to. I think it retaines its characteristics.

I do not know whether people return to right wrongs they messed up in previous life, or if they lived such a good life that they were given more time.

I do not believe in Heaven or Hell, heaven or Hell is what we ourselves make of it, we can either make our time here Hell, or we can live well, and consider it Heaven.

Heaven and Hell exist but not in the afterlife. They exist in the world as we know it. I think spirits can roam the earth after an unexpected or violent death because they were not prepared to move on.

I think its based on the person

If the person feel their life was full and they fullfilled what they were put on earth for, then they might have the choice to be reincarnated or to go to heaven. But if they dont they may wander the earth or be reincarnated. Depending on how bad the deeds were they might just go to hell. But if they were murdered and in the middle of their life i believe they may also just wander, not knowing they are past. I could go on but i am sure you all get the gist of it.

All valid questions. I think it actually depends on your belief system reguarding what you believe is real. I mean, I believe in reincarnation, and not heaven and hell. I can't stand those two ideas. They make me crazy. So, it's all going to depend on what YOU believe will happen when you die.

i lived in this old hotel once that was believed to be haunted in every room. in the room i stayed in there was a witch that was always leaving red marks on my body. at the time i was pregnant as i found out later she was jealouse of my new child in my tummy so i moved.

nobody knows though thats the wonderfull thing about it. now lets say we were to look at the old buddist ideals of reincarnation. it would mean that for avery bug we killed and animal we killed there would now be a human. well all it takes is a simple equation to solve that one and already it seems a load of baloney. dont know guys but I wonder being there are more dimensions than one and most physics laws say you must go through all points in a line to get to the end you would think that you would progress and not hit 11 or 13 till you got there. personaly I think 4 is going to be a blast and totaly confusing for us. 5 truly scarey and seven and nine some were we want to stay but have to leave.

on though is that in level 3 were we are we can control the x axis and the y so we have control over a dimension below us as well as the one were in. yet why do not the spirits of higher dimensions control the world we live in. kinda brakes the laws of science that does.

I dont know if it's a choice or if our actions effect it. But I believe it is a reality and as such I hope that the next one is atleast as good as this one.

the standard religious tag lione would be one or the other- heaven or hell, and your actions dictate the direction...some people on here have voiced the opinion that different religions are all just different paths to the Same God, which I tend to agree with...
Many battle sites are notorious for being haunted, as the sudden enormity of the amount of deaths leaves behind a certain stamp, and having been to several Civil War battle sites, I can agree with that ( I was raised in Georgia)
Rarely do you hear of "happy ghosts" hanging around- these things tend to be the result of tragedy or pain in extreme measures-most "playful spirits" tend to be of children, who would still have that aura with them when they dided, unless under extreme circumstances...
I think that as a rule, it depends on you yourself, and what you tend to believe in. I prefer to keep an open mind, and not tie myself down to one thing or the other- seems you miss ntirely too much that is so fascinating that way

their intentions are good most of the time but if someone died in anger or frustration sometimes a bad essence stays with us...
the essences are mostly around to guide us and give us a good insight in certain situations... I consider that to be a way of giving their knowledge and emotions to us so there accomplishments and important feelings of their life will be passed on to us

Ive never been in contact with one. I've been aware of a spirtitual presence but that was it. So i don't know about these things

I believe that if a person is murdered or dies in un natural circumstances then yes maybe they will be cold and angy, but if not then there would be no reason for that person to be left behind and to stay here.

What if two people were married, and one of them died, would the soul stay around for its oartner or just move on

I think the spirit of the dead spouse would move on; however, he/she would return at the time of the other one's death to meet him/her. While in the different place, I feel that the spirit would keep on a watch over the surviving spirit.

if he/she is at pease he/she will let go of this world and move on.

If he/she had a fight with his/her partner that he couldn't get off his/her mind it is possible he/she wil haunt him/her or help him/her depends how his emotions are at the time of death.

if he/she gets killed by her partner mostly they remain to let the other suffer

but it depends mostly to the life he/she had if it was a good one meaning he had no regrets and had a content life he will move on in most cases

cut in simple idd rather be in hell then to serve in heaven and im not scared to die.
