Do you think animals could be 'turned' into some form of vampiric creature as we could??
Or are we the ones who are actually turning into an animal??
I've always kind of wondered that myself....In a couple of movies they have depicted animals as vampires.
Wolves, bats, and mice have been depicted as their companions or animals they can sometimes use when needed....I don't know.
i would think that its just as posible for say like a dog or a cat to become vampire as it is for a human
Now I don't know much about the makeup of bodies.
I don't know exactly what gets changed if you were to become a vampire. Perhaps there are only certain ways it can happen and you have to be relatively close to a human before you can be changed into a vampire simply because of the way the "virus" works.
I'm so ignorant on the matter that I'm not even going to list other things, but that is something that stands out in my mind. Not all bodies are the same, other animals can differ from us greatly. Plus, you don't see our housecats catching the flu from us, maybe they're immune to such things as the vampire bite.
Thats an interesting point, whether they're immune to it.
>My view is that Vampires are already an animal in nature. The possibility of someone turning into one is almost like saying that a sheep can be bitten by a wolf and then turn into the wolf itself.
>If it is more like a "viral disease" it would have to cause serious internal alterations to the human host, in order to be able to breakdown the blood so as to be ableto maintain all the nutrients the body needs to survive.
it may be possible but most likely not the same as human being turned into vampires
I think this subject would be greatly helped if we all actually knew what causes the "vampire effect"
if there are vampire bats i would say so and if dogs can turn into ware wolfs. I would say yes
Well there are vampires bats. And those little devils can actually be scientifically explained, bless their rapidly beating hearts....
Dogs turning into werewolves on the other hand is something I've never heard of outside of movies...Which I generally do not allow to explain things in real life situations for me.
Well , imagine a Vampire pittbul....I personally don't think animals can be turned. If they can, we are in a world of trouble!!
so if a bat was bitten by a 'human' vampire, it could turn into a ..... no, I won't go there LOL
I was thinking that the thing that makes 'human' sanguine vampires so special is that they feed mostly on human blood - that is what makes them unique from say leeches or people who eat animal blood products
If my thinking is halfway correct, why would a 'human vampire' want to turn an animal into anything other than a corpse?
Personally I do not believe this to be a possibility. I think vampires are creatures of their own and are no longer "turned" or "turn". Am I making sence?
I understand what you are saying SilentFury. Its like I what I was trying to explain earlier. Vampires are thier own species in thier own right. And that the possiblity of anything other than a Vampire becoming a Vampire through a mear bite is like saying that a Tiger can turn any other animal into a tiger the same way.
not sure if they can be, would not think so. but thank you all for the image of my great dane with even longer canines than she allready has, i'll sleep good now!
Now I'm stuck trying to think up all these bizzare vampire creatures.....
To me, vampire bunnies would be extremely horrifying.
What about a vampire turtle? XD
I do not believe animals can be changed. They are already primal.
Who knows , prehaps as in some diseases it is speicies specific.
Im not one who balives in this changing someone, we are born as Vamps as humans are born as humans, we have no choosing of what we are. However from a hollywood aspect of everything... why not
their brain is Incapable of choice how ever that doesnt mean the choice couldn't be made for them
We are all animals.
We just have a bigger brain.
Beings learn to evolve to survive.
Alot of things stay the same in all of us.
Like,If..say... you had a cold or the flu.
You CAN give it to your pets,as well as your
pet can give you a flu or cold..or some kind
of virus.
One rule stays the same.
The fitest survive,
And weakest fall,
Togeather we live,
Threw winter to fall.
I have never read anything of the sort, however I seem to remember a horror movie about a vampire dog... Personally, I don't believe it's possible.
Morrigan, don't you remember the book Bunnicula from grade school..lol
As far as chemically how our bodies are made up isn't much different from human to animals as humans ARE animals. So if a human is an animal and can be turned why can't any animal be turned? It's an interesting concept and if I remember correctly the "victim" has to drink the blood of their "parent". Pretty hard to convince your house cat to do that...
I don't think there is really any "turning" happening, in either sense. We are what we are. We may be awakened to our abilities and vampyric senses, as opposed to being "turned" into a vamp.
Well considering certain animals are already vampric I guess anything is possible, but what we see in the movies is not always factual or real.
Anything is possible, but even if it were, you would have to be picky about which animals you turned. I mean really, who wants a vampire gerbil??
If animals turned into vampires I think we would be more aware. They would not have the sense to be selective with their prey.
HAHA a vampire gerbil what a thought....yeah that would just be.....odd...
or even better a duck or like a penguin!!! wow that would be something....a vampire penguin....HAHAHA
i belive that certain animals can be vampic..but vampires have been called animals even though we r not.
Although the idea of a vamperic tiger or a vamperic wolf is entertaining and very interesting I beleive humans turn to vampires although its not always sure how that happens and animals cannot become vamperic creatures.
I don't think animals or humans are turned into anything. I believe we are born what we are, and some of us just take a little longer to become awakened then others.
i read a book, (fiction) were the main character, a vamp, of course, turned a loyal dog by accident. the results were disasterous and very sad.
that's a rather strange question... do you mean if we bite them they turn to vamps? well... i don't think we generally go for animals. and we certainly don't turn to them.
I think it's like mating. you have to stay in your own species to inpregnate so maybe you have to stay within your own to turn others into vampires??? I'm not sure intersting topic nevertheless
I have often pondered if the vampiric conditioned isn't directly related to free will and the human soul. It is something I have been trying to illicit out of my various does your pet have a soul posts... with deminishing returns of ontopic responses. Kudos.
I think that vampirism is strictly a flaw associated with the soul... All creation is designed with a hunger ... vampires choose to satisfy that hunger in ways that the rest of creation would not imagine. In fact the rest of creation does not have a choice to drink from anything but the well of God's will.
I believe that anything could be a possibility. I'd love to see my feline friend be a vampiric feline. That would be awesome!
That is a very good question. I have read stories about Vampires having vampirc pets. It's a great thought, to have your beloved pet with you forever...
If that WERE the case my neighborhood would be screwed... Some of the scum, mixed blood freaks have been running around and drinking out neighborhood cats and then hanging them from lightpoles and such.... Police think its some freak.... Little do they know *sigh*
Ruined, that is terrible. I hope something can be done! As far as animal Vampires, what would happen if a Shark was turned? I would not want to be around for that! I still don't think animals can be turned...When you think about the predators we already have, chaos would reign if certain already ferocious animals were to become Vampires.
Would a turned shark be any different than a normal, eat-my-leg-off shark?
I think it would be pretty hard to distunguish any animals that have been "turned" other than friendly domesticated ones.
i was fascinated yesterday by a book in the store about supernatural pets...
until I picked it up and looked inside
The stupid book was filled with the same sort of lassie-did-this or fido-came-home or my-cat-woke-me-up-when-my-blood-sugar-was-low-and-I-didn't-die-in-a-coma CRAP that I was getting as a response from people on VR.
I think that if an entire book is researched and published and that if that is the best that they can come up with; that it seams likely that A.) Animals do not have supernatural abilities and B.) they cannot aquire supernatural abilities...
if a cat is born a cat... it is a cat...
on the other hand an extradimensional creature that looks like an animal, may not nessesarily be just an animal... perhaps that raven is not a raven... unless of course you saw it hatch.
I think deep down we are all animals in one way or another. Not saying that is a bad thing mind you. In some ways it can be a good thing.
But I do belive that the bats and mice are somehow connected to the vampire.
A good theory..but technically, we are animals...a decendant of the ape...we're just not referred to as animals because we're human. But as for you're question..I don't know. It's an interesting idea though!
Morganx
We are also rock....
That's like saying I am a preschooler because I went to preschool at some point.
There are people that would argue that humans are pretencious for thinking that they are more than animals... If that is so, why are there no animal gurus... or are all animals so advanced in their spiritual progression that there are no obvious spiritual leaders among them?
i think it would be possible for any animal to become a vampire. if you look at it they probably would react to receiving blood just like we would. some more then others. in blade they made dogs into vampires so why not. and we of course become animals too when we become vampires. the need to feed or in some cases destroy our food source is as strong as any animals need to survive. because we to need to survive by any means possible. so really aren't we all just animals waiting to get out in the world and survive?
an animal...i think possibly. but i don't know what the results would turn out to be though. maybe if they're already night hunters it wouldn't be bad...but it could be a high dnager to society i think
I think that if there's actually a way something can be "turned" that it would apply for anyone or anything thats alive
Humans are animals anyways so I guess you could say that we are animals who are just changing into the form of another animal.
Eeks! That's a scary thought dear. A vampiric anaconda...I hope no genetics researcher tries that experiment LOL
It depends what you mean by vampire creators. in fact many animals have a vampiric instinct and they suck blood of other creators but us turning them into a creator of such thing is difficult.
If you consider vampirisim to be a spiritual thing than i would say no i don't believe it could happen but o the other case if you consider it as a virus then yes.
I don't think it is a matter of if an animale has a soul or not but more of reason.
I think it is more of a curse or gift that only affects humans because we can reason and choose who to feed from
it's the soul that makes us different from animals and nothing else
i dont think tha vampires are animals.. and im not sure if animals can be turned into vampires.
but we all know that most animals are carnivores and having to drink blood comes with eating flesh. lions for one are flesh eating animals. although they are not certified vampires, they still do the same thing with vampires without knowing it. some animals are sanguinarians...
we,re mammals,i guess you could call us animals.but alot of animals have a small brain.and some thrive on their predatory instincts.humans have more, which is why they rule.vampires have even more so.
I don't know for sure, but I don't think that a physical change is possible.
I think that animals can't be turned into vampires, for vampires are like animals. Vampires are lke people in the form of an animal I guess.
i do think that maybe aniamls are vampires jus in a different from
LOL! Lord Fangor, and they have pretty sharp teeth already...
