Telekinesis is the ability to move an object with your mind. I do not have telekinesis.


Throughout the years, but mostly in the time frame of the 1870-1920’s a large amount of research was done. A polish woman, Stanislawa Tomczyk, showed real promise as a telekinesis medium. She was photographed, recorded and observed many times. One observer said he saw wire like threads moving out of her hands and they made objects move. She also took on a personality that moved the objects.

To my knowledge, she was never proven a fake. Knowing that energy makes up the building blocks of matter, I would say that she was somehow able to bend or manipulate the energy to her advantage.

My question: Do you think telekinesis is real and why? Have you heard of Stanisiawa Tomczyk and do you think she is for real?

I have never heard of Stanisiawa Tomczyk, but i do belive in telekinesis, their has been to much research done to think otherwise...

I believe in telekinesis because I have seen some strange things in the past which it could only be from it.

I do beleive it is true but never heard of her sorry, still I have read and heard of Uri Geller. And he can bend spoons and even made on almsot go into bits so...I do beleive in telekinesis.

I think anything is possible, as we only use a small part of our brain in everyday life.

The human mind is an incredible thing, we only use 10% of our brains at any given time(correct me if I'm wrong on that percentage).. I've pondered that very thought, if everything is composed of particles and atoms, and such.. perhaps certain people just know how to adjust the placement of those atoms with their minds.. theres so much to the brain that we've yet to uncover, but as my love says, with only 10% and we can already be so destructive.. it's pretty frightning to think of what we COULD be capable of

and as for me.. I do believe in telekinesis, there are powerful things that can be accomplished by using the human mind and there are so many abilites that are yet unknown of what the mind can do.

Stanislawa Tomczyk. Born in Poland, Tomczyk came to the attention of investigators when it was reported that startling poltergeist-like activity occurred spontaneously around her. She could control some telekinetic feats, but only under hypnosis. In this hypnotic state, Tomczyk took on a personality that called itself "Little Stasia" who could levitate small objects when Tomczyk placed her hands on either side of them. In the early 1900s, one investigator, Julien Ochorowicz, watched these levitations at very close range and observed something like fine threads emanating from her palms and fingers, although they were examined carefully before the experiment. And it didn't seem to be a trick. "When the medium separates her hands," Ochorowicz observed, "the thread gets thinner and disappears; it gives the same sensation as a spider's web. If it is cut with scissors, its continuity is immediately restored." In 1910, Tomczyk was tested by a group of scientists at the Physical Laboratory in Warsaw where she produced remarkable physical phenomena under strict test conditions.

I do believe telekinesis is real
Like been telepathic or pshycic its only an ability which a very few people posess.
Some people say everybody has these powers, you just have to know how to use it. that maybe true, but i think that only a few people posess such abilitys and that women was one of them.

I have never heard about her, but I believe in telekinesis. In fact, the mind is so powerful that I think everything you could do with your mind is for real... I've heard that we only use less than 10% of our mind power... so imagine...

I totally believe in telekenisis. Just because you can't do it now does not mean that you can't develope the skill. When we are young we have all these skills. As we grow older and society tells us what is expected behavior we learn to suppress those inate talents instead of developing them. Then nwe learn of the physical world in science and that finishes any potential.

I believe in Telekinesis. Reason is that if u concentrate hard enough and focus on the object moving then it is possible. I myself have not been able to do so because I lose concentration. But research shows that it is possible to move things with the mind.

All energy moves. It is constantly in motion. You are correct. Also, cold conditions cause the energy to slow or stop and the molecules come together tightly...water to ice simplified.

And since all matter is energy, I think we can all manipulate it. But, to have an ability does not mean we know how to use it.

If we cultivate the ability...practice and work at it, who knows, we could move the energy.

There was this one time some boy threw a chair at me. It spun through the air, I shut my eyes and flung my hands up to block it. I opened my eyes and the chair was fluating, yes FLOATING ONE WHOLE METRE OFF THE GROUND. Everyone in the room was staring at me and someone yelled freak. I ran from the room.

yes I think it is real because I have been able to use telekinesis before.

i believe so because once when i was at a bus stop this little kid walked up to me and did unbelievable things with a fork. he made the prongs move and twisted it with minimal strenght. he even let us manuver with the fork to prove it wasnt a fake. i have no idea how he did it, but i think that it was telekinesis

i know that alot of children can do it, lemme expalin i know it from research i've done on my own actually, i've was in a study with other children that had telekinesis when we were younger, and many of us lost it when we got older, we lived with our families but went there for studies on the weekend, as we got older many lost their ability as they lost their open mindedness...the more open minded you are the more of a chance you have of having telekinesis

iI believe that a mind can be unlimited in powers as moving objects or methods that have come to past, but I fear that those who may have such powere are reluctant to show for the myths of the gov't after these people and the potrayal of the movie genre. Yes i do belive highly in this.

But, can moving magnetic fields allow you to pass through solid objects?

I've only been able to use telekinetic abilities in my dreamstate... in the concious "real-world", I have had no luck in moving anything. I wish I could tap into my hidden abilities like this.

I think anyone can pretty much do anything in their own dreams, heh.

I have never seen firsthand any instances of telekinesis. I have read documented accounts of it, so I do admit it is possible, I unfortunately haven't witnessed it. I have a hard time personally believing anything I don't witness for myself.

Anything is possible with the power the mind has so I believe it so and never heard of the person you mentioned but not really my field.

Well I think there are different degrees of ability in telekinesis. And mine aren't so much with moving things but physically affecting people.

I have never seen telekinesis, but I wouldnt be suprised if there were individuals who were able to harness the power of their mind (or energy manipulation) to move objects.

I believe in telekinesis . I've known a few people who could do this .

I don't know what our mind is truly capable but we need energy to survive and electrical impulses are constantly coursing through our bodies. If we could find a way to Feel energy, learn to manipulate it, I don't see why telekinesis would be impossible. It's just that pretty impossible task of manipulating energy.

And if we could somehow figure how to produce more electricity and/or how to control that which our body does produce, I don't see why that wouldn't be useable for at least something either.

Telekinesis is a very varied subject, and there has been opposition on both sides to it's exhistance. I myself choose to say it does exist

This subject is terribly fascinating. I've heard of this ability, and I've learned a lot just from reading the posts in this thread. I'll be sure to check back here, as well as do a bit of research on my own.

I'll believe it when i see it myself. There are far too many ways to fake this type of thing. James Randi has a million dollar challenge to any who can provide proof of such things under test conditions. I personally know multiple ways to make various objects move, bend, break etc.... Will my techniques (others methods) win me a million bucks? Nope. It cant be done other test conditions. Either those with the ability are holding back or it cant be done. Uri Gellar hasnt cashed in yet and Mr. Randi has been asking for proof for years.

I have really no first-hand experience with telekinesis, but for a while I have been dabbling in pyrokinesis. I always thought manipulating fire was amazing...so a lot of the times I practice with candles.

I have never heard of the person you are speaking of . Although I do believe in telekinesis, and have seen it first hand happening.

no i have never heard of her... but i do believe that it is very possible. i have heard a lot about telekinisis. and i am very open to the thought that MOST things we hear about do have some realism to them

I have never heard of her but I do believe in telekinesis I have even seen some people use it. I gathered from
MysticMoon's post of the woman that she had traits that allowed her to do it. Going into a trance or changing her mind state is widely held as an effective means in many cultures for magic etc. Also the threads, since telekinesis is using your energy with the energy of the object to move it they would have to be strong enough. It is comparable to how a psy vampire feeds.

Bloodsymphony...you make a really interesting point. I never thought of the connection. But it makes sense...psi vamps take the energy from a person and draw on it. It appears that telekinesis disrupts the energy and allows you to manipulate it.

Either way it is an energy exchange.
