The other Dreams thread that I had was closed for length. So here's the topic for those who would still like to post.
U know how people talk about Dream lands and how we also hear about Astral Projection (Traveling)? Well what if we actually leave our bodies during our sleep and dreams and go to the "dream land" and actually live a whole nother life? What if when we're awake we r dreaming in "dream land"?
I doubt that their is a drem land that you can phisically go to, i think dreams are things that are already in our mind and when we are sleeping our brain takes bits and pieces of diffrent thoughts in our head and puts them together into a dream...
I don't think that we actually leave our bodies when we sleep. I think some probably can, if they have had the training. (astral travel) But as a rule, no. I know it sometimes feels like we have, dreams are weird sometimes!
I feel like when I wake up with a jolt or really fast that I've slammed back into my body.
When you say a jolt like your mind is tryin to keep up with you and as nothing seems to appear to happened. like a nightmare. When i get this dreams of Fear my body tends to wake up as a jolt as you say. and im so unsure what has happened. And i get over whelmed with a strange feeling.
but I still dont understand this concept too well. I hope that my given information can help some.
What I mean is when u can't recall what has happened it means ur mind didn't want u to see or feel what was ahead so it slammed u back into ur body. That's y u wake up so fast.
I dont know .. I know some people that jolt as you would say , right before or while there falling into a deep sleep, and have seen them awaken people
It all depends on the dream. U might jolt awake because u may be gettin' to deep into ur dreams or something.
Are you saying it may be possible to get trapped in a dream,or saying it could be a bodily defence not to dream to deep..The vast mysteries of the mind is something. We may never fully grasp its potential..
We will never know for sure what our dreams do or what our mind or body will do to us while we sleep.
have you ever tried to buy a book on reading your dreams .. For me it didnt contain what I was searching for. For what it mainly contained list of objects and if your reconize these objects in your dream an dthere meaning.. I dont know about you but I dont dream that way .. It was just too relaxed on the info I was looking for
I don't have a book no. I'm wanting to get one though.
some say that when u jolt its a sign of astral projection i have had this feelings many of times. I dream of falling and right before i hit the ground im jolted awake.Im trying to control my projection but u have to be tuned into ur body....its easier if u doze off then wake up for a sec and tell ur self to picture ur self floating above ur body and sum say that u can travel to ur spirit guide in the astral plane....i have yet to control it but im practicing....
Of course ur jolt awake when having the falling dream. It's natural. Ur mind fears hitting the bottom therefore it slams u back into reality.
I've been told about this "Dream relm" before - Told that I was well known.
Well known.
Like it was a world like our modern every day.
Like we could speak with eachother, and interact like we do when awake.
I never knew how to respond to that.
I hope that inspires you.
I don't think it's possible to "live" another life while we're dreaming.
Do you realize how tired we would be when we woke up from our dreams?? We'd have to go right back to bed because we were so tired from what we did in our "other" life.
I astral project, I live a more pronounced life there as a dark being who feeds on energy , I have noticed at times im spending more time there than here(reality), that is a problem for food/work n letting out the dog lol
Still on a more serous note to answer your question … yes when your astral events affect daily events you do wonder what is real and what is not…. Mongooses and snakes I think Alister Crowley said …. When reality slides and astral world affects reality … it becomes hard to know what’s real any more…… like portals have been opened …….
thats just creepy. I don't know what land I am in but there always seems to be vampires or monsters there. Plus all the dreams i have about violent things.
I doubt that there really is any sort of dreamland..but I sure wish there was. Some of my dreams are so vivid and real..it would be nice to know they are more than just my overactive imagination.
dreams are a state of mind the brain goes in too before sleep. some people do not have the ablity o go in to the dream land caused by drowsiness of your brain slwing down often insomnia causes this. you cannot dream when you are a wake because you are thinking and the brain goes into that state because you are sleepy
when dreaming i personally never feel as if i am on any other realm but in the past or jsut as i am when concious of my surroundings while being awake but i do find it facinating that some people believe that they enter into another realm perhaps even another deminsion of conciousness when dreaming and of course as with all things concerning the mind....anything is plausable givven the right circumstances
i always thought that when i fell asleep, my consciousness went to another plane of existence. that i lived another life somewhere else. i have had falling dreams, but i have learned to either change them or wake from them. I have landed on the bottom standing up.
Some of u rn't gettin my concept. We don't actually live it. We watch our other lives. And anyways even if we did we'd just be dreaming of our "real" life while we're sleeping in our "dream".
to some extent some people can live a whole other life in their dreams and sometimes when they wake up, it takes a while to figure out whether they are in their dream land or in reality
I believe a part of me does go to somewhere else when my body sleeps.
Not only that, but I think I meet up with people and learn things and do some kind of work etc.
That life is just as real to me as the one I live when I awake.
I know sometimes when I wake up I think I'm dreaming. I hate the dream that u dream of having a dream...then u wake up in ur dream and then in reality. Also the food dream. I always wake up hungry.
I don't think that what I have to say has nothing to do with this topic. But I do have some days in which I'm awake but I think I'm dreaming.
i really think that with the proper knowledge and practice, you can leave your body... i've also experienced the jolt and that sensation that something throws you down to your body again...
Jenova > would you say that lucid dreaming is actually a vision of kinds ?
I think dreaming is a mix of, A: problems during the day we come up against and us trying to work it out, and B: things we see, or are supposed to see. The key here is to know the differnce between knowing that the it is a dream, and nothing important, like that dream with the spanish speaking opossum.
i myself does not think that we go off to another life while dreaming... they say that when u dream pieces from the back of your mind come to and just runs wild like things you think about then its on your sub mind then u dream of it... but what i dont understand is what about the dreams you dream and you dont think about it and how does dreams come to where you are dreaming and youve never even thought of what your dreaming about.. alot of dreams make you wonder has anyone ever had a de ja vu dream
Darkest Greetings...
Curious question indeed...
Dreaming serves certain purposes... diverting the mind whilst the body rests (during sleep) ,
but it also can serve to create a certain sense of being out of the body, or even reveal things we believe to be "prophetic" or some "premonition" ...
Point being... how the mind works is a mystery we cannot grasp totally...its depths, its connections... our greatest weapon and treasure...
Farewell...
Lord Markus
I do not feel we can live or walk around in a dream land, I do believe we have dreams and premonitions when we sleep or memories of a past life.
Your body will wake you if you get into a state of touble as your dreaming also, very few people die from their dreams, So I just do not see how it is another world and we leave our bodies. Just my thoughts on it is all.
The dreams I seem to have turn out to become real
and my nightmares are quite weird, they say you cant feel pain when you dream but I feel everything.
I also have those moments when I sleep walk or I talk in my sleep.
including: you can have a full blown conversation with me and you could swear that I was awake.
I believe few people have that ability, for me I can go into my dreams and dream whatever I want. Change the plot or the out come of my dream, I've been able to do that since I was real young. So to leave your body is truly a special and unique ablilty.
I have been told that when you wake up somewhat tired you have been out of your body....while you been sleepin....
if were just dreaming right now that would suck royaly
are you dreaming now or not. Dreamland is now or then again maybe not...sleep well.
Now that i think about it i have had the jolting feeling some times so it could be possible that i was in the process of astral travel and i woke up to soon...
i am not really sure about living a whole nother life in a dream world....but i think some individuals believe in such things i think we as individuals tend to create our own dream worlds
It's possible to just be watching another life so u can learn about what's to come.

I have been told that when you wake up somewhat tired you have been out of your body....while you been sleepin....
That is true. I have been woken up and been sooo tired.
i like the out of body thing, i help people that feel like my family and that the only way to get to them.
I cant say that I believe in a "Dream Land" so to speak, though it is an intresting concept. From my belief dreams are like, well a small glimpse into what is to come, no matter how odd or Insane they can be.
I have heard of something like that where people had a collective unconsciousness where they lived most of their lives in a dream realm and woke only to eat and procreate. Their civilization died out centuries ago. No one really knows even if they ever truly existed. I for one am a believer.
The "dream land" would have to be a whole life place, of course. You can't actually step into your dream physically.
i believe that such individuals that are in a state of "coma" live in a dream state ,although they can hear and sometimes see, everything else is as it would be in another place such as if one were dreaming.
Well Astro projection i have actually done it and it was a while ago when i was in high school and it was a dream but what happens if the person that your spirit goes to sees your spirit and that is when i was awoken in a jolt is when she woke up.
i do find astro projection to be another realm but also i believe that we make up our own patterns.. what we want to believe and how we want to be able to perceive things if such dream states did occur
our mind is more open i find when we are dreaming and our dreams can be anything from messages to just our imagination.
I've always heard that you could get hurt in the astro plains.
I find that my dreams are normally concerned with people in my life that have left it and conversing with them, or seeing what is to be in my future, as I seem to do quite frequently
You are born with only 2 fears. One fear of falling the other darkness(the unknown). The jolt is the brain sensing fear from your dream. It wakes you up to keep you safe. So if your "falling" in your dream the brain senses this and protects you. Waking you up abruptly . Hence the jolt.
I believe in an infinite multiverse where anything that can be dreamed or thought of not only can, but does happen.
itz a possability and that would be wiered to leave ur body while sleeping and go to another world like a paralell universe that u could only go to when dreaming. cool
I have many dreams concerning my first boyfriend, who died 11 years ago in a skydiving accident. He comes to me in my dreams, and normally we are back at the elementary school we attended, but we are adults, and he always comes to me to tell me that things will be all right, and is always giving me hugs. It makes feel that he is watching over me from above.
I don`t think we are living a dream land now, i believe that we are all awake and we have minds to make sure that we are, we are not living in the matrix or something....
Lesava I have same thing...but it with my mom and she is telling me everything will be ok and such but I know she been on my bed with me as I wake up can feel the warmth from were she was sitting. It very weird but I have come to deal with it she comes to me almost every night.
i think we are in a subconscious state when we sleep and dream. my dreams have never come true.
I also believe that u can astro project into anothers dream.
hmm im not entirally sure i think some people can leave their bodies when they sleep and some can not. Also some people can enter anothers dream or some how share a dream. The dream relm is possible of exhisting but then again might not.The world is full of mysterious and some will never be solved.Tis your own oppinion what happens and you can only go along with what you believe
mabe when we are awake we are really dreaming and when we are asleep dreaming those are flash back from our past life and we are liveing the next lifes dreams for the next generation
my dreams usually lead to me writing books about them (though not published yet)
i belive and every thing but i doubt when we are a wake we are dreaming in dream land but i guess it is possible
ok aside from dreamland i have dreams bout things or i see people and when i wake up i remember them like they are real then within days or a few weeks those same things happen in my life i knew my mom was sick and she had a heart attack just like in my dream i knew a friend was gonna get in a wreck and die two weeks before i thappen i see people and meet them in life the same way i did in my dream its like im shown things like to try to stop them i dont know i havent figured it out some of it freaks me out specially when i see someone die and it happens exactly the same way really freaky and u can leave ur body in ur dream dont konw bout dream land but u can actually put urself to sleep and leave ur body study dreams u will find out alot
We will never know for sure what our dreams do or what our mind or body will do to us while we sleep.
I believe that the state we're in when we're asleep is close to what its like when we're dead. Dreams are heaven. Nightmares are hell. But so far as this being a dream. Wake me the fuck up. I dont belive that this reality is less real than that of the spiritual or dream world. Its MORE real because that's what REAL means. The other side can stay on the other side until I'm ready to go there.
i was wondering.... have you ever had a dream and u see someone but not there face... what could that mean.. maybe not anything but maybe something
It may mean ur going to meet someone new. And then maybe u'll have a dream with them in it again and then u'll see their face.

I have been thinking about what you said and i am thinking that it might be possible, i do not see why it couldent be possible for a person to be awake here then when i am sleeping i go to another place and live a different life their, that may be why we have deja vu, because we have seen something in "dreamland" and now we are seeing it in "awakeland"...
I think that if that were the case, it would explain a lot of why our dreams sometimes feel so real. I mean, there are times in which I dream something, and after I wake up, I could have sworn on my life that what took place in my dream actually happend in real life.
I think that apart of us does leave our bodies when we sleep, then before we wake up, it enters back into us.
Oh ok thanks.
RavenKnight I like how u said "awakeland".
Well I guess anything is possible.. The human mind is far from total understanding and we dont use a majority of what we have.. So there is a possibility in actually watching ourselfs live out other lives in dreams..
hisdarkestdream ~
Thanks! i just thought if their is a "dreamland", i guess their had to be an "awakeland" to...
Dreams feel real, because your brain knows, what its like to be in a certain environment, places where you have been are seen in books etc. Because whatever experiance you have in your life, your brain can put these different mixed up thoughts and experiances that are stored in the your brains memories, like family, friends, people who you know, strangers faces, people you walk past in a crowded street, movies, and pleasures what you like in your life are things or places you dont like, these are all your thoughts and memorys, all mixed up into a strange dream.
I donb't know if that really happens but sounds freaky to me.
my 2 cents here,
dream are an interesting subject. From a medical standpoint, we dream to relieve stress. Sometime our dreams also have a way of telling us thing that are going on in our life through the use of symbols. (there are books out there for interpetation)
For others that feel that the dream is real, This is a form of astral projection, but however you are apart of someone elses dream like an observer, that is why it feels real. These type of people are called dream walkers. (yes there is such a thing) Normally after the person returns to their body, they will normally wake up drained. For dream walking takes alot of someone.
I don't believe in a dream land but I do believe there is a deeper part of our brains we go to that knows much more then we allow ourselves to think. Thats why I believe that our dreams can show us information that we need
Dreamland is just a term it's not really a land u go to. It's part of ur mind to some other it's part of anothers dream or anothers life. It's just a place that we go to while dreaming.
i am going to close this one since there is a few new ones open close to the same *smile*
