Have any members experienced Spiritual Healing, either by the laying on of hands, or by absent healing ( long distance by prayer ) ?

If so did you find it beneficial ?

Do any here practice healing themselves ?

i have used healing by in a way of learning how to focus so that possitive energy can come into my hands i use to practice this mentod of enrgy cultivation alot and i believe that it does work

Yes I have used and have recived spiritual Healing and I have had ONLY benefit from both.

my experience is the healing with the hands...
i started with Reiki and now i can heal some minor illnesses...

I've experienced it. I've done some healing of others by prayer mostly.

I have seen spiritual healing done with laying of hands. I have heard of distance healing and find it to be fascinating.

The only premise that I can think of that makes you more apt to believe in this type of healing is the fact that you have to have faith that the healing will work.

Yes, I have either experienced a form of spirtiual healing in one way or seen someone else receive it in another way. I do not prescribe to one way or the other. I go for what works at the time.

No.. I tend to negate healing from other humans/humanoids. Even if the healing is not directed to me, and it is done around me, I still negate it..

The really odd thing about that is that I myself have high proficency at healing.. Especially towards youth and our animal comrads.

I can, however, receive healing of sorts from the animals, they often tend to try and sooth ones soul when you are injured or upset.

Faith healing > Spiritual healing.

The first requires faith, the second not.

Was involved with the distance healing group for a few years after my second Reiki level. I have a binder full of replies and thank you- s. After a level one Reiki attunement, I went from being diagnosed with clinical major/ chemical depression to some level of samadhi. And that's documented! Did a healing attunement on my mother and twenty years of heart trouble disappeared. Doc took her off the meds.

I can not answer for the international healings but I was not looking for or expecting what happen to me. nor did my mother. So, faith itself had nothing to do with it. I was only taking a class/ workshop - nothing more. I was lucky to make it home in one piece because of the euphoric feeling that came over me while driving. It went away by the next day but came back about three weeks later. Lasted the weekend and I was unable to leave the apartment. But come Monday..my life changed. Been that way ever since. I can see why people want to give up kingdoms for just a feeling of what I have 24/7. I don't have the words but yeah, it's for real.

well my mom can heal the burn, if you are burn somewhere just have to concentrate on her or tell her.

i remember when i was doing baptisms for the dead i felt like i was helping out those who were past away and kind of gave them a sence of peace

good point made 'carvall" i agree this kind of healing although requires spirituality is not designed for only certian groups of religion i think that anyone can adapt to this that has a open mind

As to types there are many, as far as I am concerned if it works use it.

When I do it, whatever that person had, I seem to get while they seem normal afterwards.

See, I don't get any after problems.. Except I seem very soothed myself as well.

I have been subjected to this before and not by choice. I am very prideful and I was suffering from a massive headache. I let my b/f give my a massage, and I forgot that he was an empath. He ended up taking my headache for himself and didn't tell me until afterwards. I was glad he did it and I have asked him a few times to do it again, and I have done nothing but benefit from him doing so.

im quite good at astral work, when my daughter has her operations I have to hold her as they knock her out(breaks my heart), I then sit in the waiting area and move my astral and all the energy I can to help keep her from feeling lost or frightened …. Last time she said “ daddy we flew to the moon together and that is exactly where I was visualizing” Wish I could take the pain from her as well …..

I'll try this again, I have not seen it done but have heard that certain people have the ability to heal minor injuries or alements by touching. Love to see it done, But should believe that there is people out there that have this ability.

I belive it has alot to do with mind control and alot of faith, Ive seen it done but cant explain it but it didnt last very long when done.

I have been healed in that way, but i was to small to remember. I have also seen healing and it seemed to help a lot. And when people pray for me good things happen for me, so i would have to say yes it helps a lot.

I have been healed on more than one occasion.
As for practicing, I am a Reiki Master and Teacher. Reiki can be done at a distance, but is more often done by layig of hands.

Would you say MasterThoth that Reiki uses the method that stabb has outlined ?

the strongest experience I've ever had was during my baptism at age 12. It was like I lost consciousness once I was under water, and it felt like an eternity passed. When I was brought up for just a second I was startled, like "what am I doing here".

As 'luck' would have it, I am taking part in a healing group online tonight.

I have never tried this before but am quite excited about it.

Have just finished online healing session.

It went well.

There were six of us all told, three had never done any form of healing before, but we seemed to 'meld' and the palms of my hands got pretty hot at one point.

All reported feelings of power and peace.

So that's something new I have experienced and enjoyed.

i've been told i have healing hands....so i started practicing healing......physical and mental healing

I think Spiritual Healing would be very beneficial to anyone who needed it. I've never tried it on myself, but I know people who have. They told me that without this form of healing they would probably still be stuck in their depressions that they've been in for years.

Ever since last year I've been healing. It's been a hard but rewarding journey. That happens with abuse...you lose a lot but you also win so much.

spiritual healing has been around for 100's of years. The laying of hands is real and at times works better and faster then any doctor med.

I have been able to lay hand on where someone has an ache or pain and be able to yake their pain out by trying to pull the ailment out like if it were a metal spike ot something of that nature. Only frawback to this is sometimes i end up taking the ailment myslef in my own body.

i havent experienced it, but my great grandmother used to be a spiritual healer and i saw her heal people just by whispering something incoherent for me to understand and placing their hands in that sick person.

sometimes i think that as long as the person believes that he/she will be healed, it will come true. it is like a faith healing actually. the mind works stronger than the sickness our body

yes i have had it done to me and it felt like you foot was sleeping, you all know what that feel like, but think of that all over your body.

when i was wounded one time my friend tryed to heal my wrist with her hands...it worked but it felt weird...like air was going through my entire arm

I heal my girlfriend when she has pains in her chest. I do it with my hands with my own energy. I have also done it for sore muscles on myself.

A few years ago I was experiencing terrible lower back pains. I was born with flat feet which force my back into a bad angle. My father took me to an apothecary downtown to see a young Chinese man who performed a healing technique on me. He had me lay on my stomach so I could relax and he could place his hands on my lower back. Within a few minutes my back began to feel warm and relaxed everywhere I once felt pain. He used to medicines. He just focused on my pain. My back has felt much better ever since.

Good lord, if I could perform spiritual healing, it'd make my job as an Army medic ALOT easier. LOL

Seriously, sometimes I wish I could do more to ease some of the pain and discomfort my wife suffers now following her gastric bypass surgery a year ago.

i believe that one can also heal others through their own "mind" if they practice enough and get their focus and concentration down to a pinpoint.

I am a long distance healer; have healed people as far away as Italy, and I'm in California. I have health issues myself, and am usually in pain, so taking others pain doesn't hurt me much, and the empath in me hates having people I love suffering

Yes I have experienced it and also use it to this day and it a very special gift.

I've never experienced it, but my bestfriends aunt does that sort of stuff and recommended it so I guess seeing this I should try it out.

I ask as it puzzles me as to why empaths feel ( no pun intended ) that they must 'take on' someone elses pain, in order to ease it.

No I have not experienced this nor do I practice this, but I have heard of this before, I am just not sure of I believe this. I guess it is possible, I just have never witnessed it...

I believe in spiritual healing. I have seen it done by hands applying pressure to the pressure points in the body and I have also experienced it. It feels so calming and I feel so refreshed after. I also believe in the healing method of breathing and "stepping out of the conscious form" I learned this in some classes I took, the breathing is your supposed to visualize that you are letting air and you ki out of your body, and filling it with fresh energy. I do that before preformances, it's supposed to relax the soul. and the "stepping out of the conscious form" is when you close your eyes and visualize your self in front of you and that is the tired part of you, so your "getting rid" of your tiredness, and refreshing your senses. Those are all things I have experienced, and believe really work.

oh yes, my friend's a massage therapist (they like to be called that you know, massuse is to commonly referenced with hookers), any she dose Reiki (sp?) and I can feel the energy just gliding over me, it's really nifty.

yes I have had a spiritual healing before, but it was weird.. no one put their hands on me or anything, it was a blessed glove

I have never witnessed it nor practiced it but i do believe it is possible and am very interested....i just do not know how to go about it. any advice would be great. thank you!

Reiki helped me TREMENDOUSLY the two sessions that I had thanks to a dear friend of mine; I would love to learn more about it

I had healing of the body an soul, it's like a new life.I'm told I can do it 2 but have the power of 2 hands.So i keep them to myself.

I can`t do it, but i believe it`s possible, everybody can do if he learns and really works on it.

Are you receiving healing for your own condition ?

I am a natural healer and do not perform it via laying on hands or through the use of crystal healing. I send healing energies that build up in me naturally to heal whatever it is that needs healing.

Sometimes I amaze myself as to how well I can do this. I healed my fiancees back from a distance of over 250 miles and have also helped a friend who was in pain in america while sat at my pc here in england.

If I am close to the person then I tend to use some of the ancient egyptian healing rituals as they seem to work very very well.

However, i have to say that a person can sometimes be healed too many times in this way and then it can become more painful for the receiver.

I believe that their are some people out their that may be able to heal people, but i do not believe that a person can be healed by prayer, prayer does not work in my opinion...

I have not experienced this. I think it is a wonderful gift to have and so nice that it can be used to help.

I have not been trained in any of the healing arts, but I seem to have an easier time helipng people heal through massage when I actively focus my energy.

As far as I know I've never received healing of this nature.

I focus positive energy into what ever needs healing. It works, I also meditate often to help keep an even flow.

I have recieved it in a form of prayer from a church yet it didn't change anything.... I believe it depends on who is doing it and if you have faith in it

sumthiniforgot: Results are never guaranteed to fix problems with spiritual healing. Sometimes you'll find a different answer or solution than you are looking for- or maybe nothing if you don't put any value in the healing yourself.

Spiritual healing can occur. I tend to believe that Reiki, prayer, mediation, lying of hands and etc can produce positive results. However, I do understand that sometimes it is merely a placebo and the impact is solely because we believe it will work.

I've had the Atlanteean Healing done on me already which was interesting because it involves colors and stones. And it did help. I felt good afterwords.

In my mothers religion, Ocha, they believe in different gods and spirits all having to do different jobs. I went to one of their so called meetings.. and since I was new to the religion they had to find out my certain path and stuff of my gods.. or something. Well they had to clean out my body so they had the leader and me hold hands and dance around a fire. Also it is believed that if you take a fruit or egg and rub it all over your body it cleans out ur soul and other things. So when your done throw out whatever you cleaned urself with!!

When I was younger I suffered bad asthma. My mum was practicing reiki at the time and got her 2nd certificate.

I found it very bebeficial. It cleansed the respitory system which is what she was focused on.
I reccomend it to anyone interested!

yes to all three questions. for me I can heal others but not myself. I have been healed by others though. Also the long distance healing for me seems to work better if there is some kind of connection with the person I'm healing. It also helps if they believe and are receptive to it in all cases. I personally use a combination of energy manipulation and faith. I find that the giving of one's self in conjunction with faith provides for better healing.

You know, I would think that if one's experienced Spiritual Healing, there's no need to ask if they benefitted from it. It's healing, there's nothing but benefit.

I've had some experience with it. As far as sweat lodges, prayer, and the like.

I have. It was an amazing experience I'll never forget. I sometimes wish I could though. What I needed healing from was quite painful.

I haven't experinced this, but find it very interesting, and think you all have an amazing gift
