I am familiar with the blood bond ritual of sang vampires and I was wondering if psy vampires have a similar ritual. I get the impression from a lot of posts on here that among psy vampires it would be taboo for them to do something similar.

I believe the act of feeding whether it is Sang or Psy... goes beyond the mere act, it is truely an exchange oneself to the other... a deep inner bonding...

I would tend to agree with that but the blood bond ritual with sang vampires is more than just that as the point of it is not the feeding itself. It is typically more like part of a mating ritual although it can also be used to strengthen a friendship. The blood bond is done between two sang vampires. As I said before from a lot of posts I've seen on here one psy vampire feeding from another psy vampire seems to be taboo.

From what I understand, a psy vamp can form the same sort of bond with their "donor", but I'm not aware of 2 psy vamps having that sort of bond to each other. I assume its possible though.

well that it true, i have not heard of two psy vamps doing that either. as for it being taboo i dont know. could it be more of that instead of feeding off each other all they would do is drain each others energy with out any benefit to themselves?

In my community, I know of no "taboo" with two Psy vampires exchanging energy, it would be similar to the acts between Sang vampires, especially when sexual...

I would think that one would probably benefit slightly and one would be slightly drained as the odds that both would be of equal strength is unlikely. If one was very disciplined he/she might be able to control it so that it would be balanced since the idea would be an exchange of energy and not feeding.

Yes Doru the blood bond does tend to be sexual which is why it is usually done between mates. Each time it is done it makes the bond stronger. It can be very difficult to break a blood bond.

That's a good thought. I, however, think that no matter what you do you are always bonding with something, changeing something, and even saving someones life that you may never find out about. Life is about changing and bonding.

From my experiences, the vampire bonding is physical, emotional, and mental. They intertwine to strenghthen the bond between the two beings and is not isolated to just the two beings, in the proper atmosphere, it affects the entire group that is sharing the bonding experience.

Yes even a wedding can have an effect on those in attendance, but a blood bond is usually done in private. With psy vampires I could see that if people were near enough, like in an apartment building they could be effected.

some psy are really powerful and some people around can feel really affected... now, i heard once about a guy who fed off of his wife while having sex, so i think in that case the energy bond is very strong... of coure other psy vamps can have another bond not necessarily with people they know...

Blood bonding is done in private usually because of it's sexual nature not because anyone is ashamed of it. A blood bond is a very personal thing. You don't generally see a bride and groom consummate their marriage in public.

Any exchange of energy, whether via blood or psychic feeding, is an act of bonding, the strength of which depends on the intentions of the two involved. Obviously, if the act is intended to be bonding, the bond will be stronger, but whether bonding is the intent, when you draw blood or energy from a person, you are forever spiritually bonded to that person. Every susequent feeding serves to strengthen that bond.

Maybe the bonding is differant with the psy vamps which would allow them to bond to each other without harm. If they are meant to be mated than they would protect not endanger themselves.

I doubt sanguinarian vampires would look at a blood bonding as "harming themselves." It's an intimate experience that forges a powerful connection.

It isn't about getting stronger, it's about bonding, spiritually, with the other vampire, and as I said, it's entirely possible to be performed by psy vampires. I've never heard of a specific ritual, but I think sexual feeding would be a rather intimate bonding, don't you?

That's an interesting point, and I would have to respond by asking since the bond between two sanguinarians is still a spiritual one, would it be entirely accurate to call either one a blood bond?

I wasn't really arguing the name, I was offering a different view on the matter. As I keep saying, any exchange of energy is a bonding experience, as I have bonded via blood and via energy exchange. I've never heard of a ritual designed for such a bond, but I have to ask, would it really be necessary? Just the act itself is the ritual, and whether specific steps are taken, the end result is still the same.

The blood itself is not the bonding "agent" (sounds like chemistry now. lol), but rather the energy exchanged through it. It forms a deep spiritual bond that can transfer emotions, experiences, and yes, energy from one person to the other thenceforth.

If that is the case then I would assume that the same result is achievable for psy vamps as well.

You probably wouldn't call it a blood bond though if there is no blood exchange present.

Maybe a "soul bond" or something like that.

Only if one wants to bond while feeding
off one others energy.
Usually a psy vamp dont make these bonds..unless its a mate that they want..or protection for the one he or she bonds with.
Usually sangs bond..only to a mate..
or to keep 'tabs' on someone wich they will want to feed off later in life.
So they will not loose track of there
prey or donor.

The blood bond ritual. Is that where two sangs share with each other of their own blood to make each other more aware of that one. meaning you feel and know them better and they do the same as well in return. like mind over mind.

yes that is what he meant when he said he had exchanged wolvie & i am the one who brought it up because all things that do with the body blood etc. when mixed create a bond so in this case there is no such thing as a blood bond but spiritual bond as the blood is interconnected with your soul so as he said you will be connected & others....thru emotions this is a case such as twins they share blood & spiritual power so therefore they can share emothions henceforth

As I said before the point is not whether the name for it is correct. It is a fairly common practice among sang vampires. A lot of sang vampires will also help another sang vampire in need. The impression I get from a lot of psy vampires is that it is taboo for a psy vampire to feed off of another psy vampire for any reason. So far only one person has hinted that they may have done it.

To finally answer Wolvie's question that was directed at me:

Yes, I am a psy vampire, and I have fed from each of the 4 other psy's I used to practice with in college. We were all bonded, intentionally, for the purpose of becoming closer. It made it easier to practice a number of skills, as well as making us closer overall as friends.

wolfkiller while that article was interesting it had nothing to do with bonding though. I did look around a bit on the site and discovered something interesting. For a site that discourages blood feeding and encourages psy feeding the only bonding they discuss is blood bonding.

La6Muerte66 or Doru have either of done blood bonding? If so do you find a difference between the two?

I can feed by both blood or psy and I personally feel more of a connection when blood feeding. I have done blood bonding but have never done psy feeding or bonding with another psy vampire.

In the blood lies the true essence or energy of a person, when you consume the blood it is most potent, hence you need very little blood to feel fullfilled, when I feed on energy I pull away that enery form my host and would think that some of it is lost along the way. Bonding is simply absorbing one anothers esence, a link between the emotional energy of two beings, I don't understand the ideal of a specific ritual between two vampyres as I beileve it varies between each creature. There is no specific set of rules that any one follows. If ya think about it on aphilosophical level it could be a very complex subject with countless answers and ideals. I have seen some very good responces in this thread.

I'm not sure they are the same, they may be very close. With a blood bond you actually have a physical part of that person inside you and they have the same from you. Some of that physical essence may stay with you the rest of your life. That seems less likely in the case of psy energy since vampires cannot retain energy.

To answere your question wolvie . With the blood bond you have a phsyical connection with the person . With a psy vamp there is the same connection only on a mental level istead of a physical one

Just another thought. I am a psi vamp and I don't know that I would want another to feed off me. To me it would just defeat the purpose of it all.

wolfkiller, I would imagine Wolvie is asking from an academic point of view.

Wolvie, the only person I have blood bonded with was someone I already fed from psychically, so I wouldn't be able to tell you the difference, if any.

I am just curious since I have never tried a psy bond with another vampire usually when I psy feed it is from nature or ambient energy like lay lines and not a person.

Gwen the point would be creating a bond on a psy energy level not the feeding itself to form a link between two people either mates or very good friends

In general yes I have gotten part of the answer I was looking for but I am still interested in peoples experiences with this especially those that have done both. From what I have found psy bonding between two psy vampires is fairly rare and vampires that have done both is even more rare. Part of that may be that many psy vampires may look at as pointless to feed from another psy vampire and i have seen quite a few that see it as taboo. I personally find both feeding and being fed from exhilarating and both at the same time is even better. There are sang vampires that see feeding from another vampire as taboo also though it's not as common a taboo as it seems to be with psy vampires at the very least it is not openly discussed for the most part. It is much easier to find info on blood bonding.

Wolvie thanks for responding to my post, I understand the bonding experience now after reading more closely. I have no experience with bonding with another psy as I am basically a loner. So thanks for insights.

You're welcome Gwen.

I would still like to hear from others that may have done both types of bonding with other vampires. I also wonder how well it would work if one was a sang. vampire and the other was a psy vampire.

mystikalmoon15 is that from personal experience? Have you done both types of bonding?

There are so many variables it would be nearly impossible to quantify. Especially since it is very subjective. I think that a lot would depend which method of feeding each vampire was predisposed to. It might be possible though to show a trend though.

Personally, I feel some sort of bond whenever such is the case. Not that I'm saying for sure it is more of said "taboo" in this case, than it being more of a personal bonding with another person, just that there is some sort of closer connection with whoever it may be.

Feeding, whether via blood or psy energies, is a very intimate sharing of energy, and emotions. I personally have never bonded with anyone, but that is because I have yet to find someone I want to be that close to. I have fed, yes...but bonded no. I think that should be left between people who are commited not only as vampire/donor but as friends/relatives/lovers.

Dented Skies
Rusted minds starring deep into hollow thoughts of feeble concentration,
A backlash of Dust coughing Illusions from my sights,
In my Path of awakening Lust of survival creeps along my sickened fate of meditation,
Disolution filling my Cries the Darkened howl Pouring from the skies.
Scars of Lust dripping on my Tongue,
To eat your SOul until our time is Done.

any type of bonding may eventually come back to "bite" you..grin...but seriously, to feed without permission from the other is not proper etiquette. These days so many have no manners and just do as they feel they want to with no consequences. Psy feeding between couples can be extremely satisfying as is sang feeding. Rituals vary as do the situations and needs of both types..Have fun..

TegoSanguisitim a telepathic bond is different because while thoughts are shared energy is not. A blood bond would be more similar to an empathic bond and I'm guessing a psy bond would be similar unless one or both of the psy vampires were telepaths also.

I think we all agree that there is a bond during feeding but the blood bond is more than that. Comparing feeding to blood bonding is like comparing a dinner date to a wedding. Since some of the sites that I have looked at lately that are geared more towards psy feeding and frown on sang feeding still have information on blood bonding and nothing on psy bonding I wonder if some revert to the "old ways" for bonding purposes. I am sure as doru pointed out that some have a psy bonding ritual but most seem to be reluctant at best to talk about it.

I agree with fryechyld, you do not need to be a certain type of anything to bond, you can bond with whomever you wish and always have a part of them within you no matter who or what they are,why do you have to be one or the other?,It is within the soul.

Hey wolvie.
I still believe that a psy bond is like a pair of twins because twins share there naturally energy that is how they mentally communicate and share emotions.

A psy bond is the same way they share energy ad feel one another's emotions.

Now they can make all the sites they want but the only ones in my belief that know what it is like are the ones who have done it personally.
