I have read of the theory you posted.But think personally it's rubbish. There are no facts save the visions of a medium, and there are no ways to prove his visions were correct.

Actually, yes I have heard of this theory, I saw it on some documentary movie...but I can't remember what it's called. Anyway, I am not really sure of what I think about it, I mean when you think about an ancient civilization and war you automatically picture spears or swords right? Well, I do any way, that's one of the reasons that I find this theory hard to believe, but when there is evidence like what was listed within the article it's pretty hard to argue with it. But, I am going to say that Atlantis was destroyed a different way, maybe with an earthquake or something...I am going to have to go with the Earth-crust displacement theory, it just seems more logical to me. I just find it hard to believe that an ancient civilization was so advanced that they posessed nuclear weapons. However I do believe that Atlantis was advanced for it's time. I don't really know more about the theory involving the rama empire of India other than what was posted.

Well MorbidCuriousity there is evidence offered in the article that Distortion has posted. For starters there's the passage from the Mahabharata, the fact that the skeletons found when they excavated mohenjondaro contained high levels of radiation, and the black glass (or pottery that was melted from the heat) they found in the streets. It sounds like a decent amount of evidence to support this theory...but then again it brings me back to the whole, ancient civilizations and battles thing...I still see them wielding swords not bombs.

how can they say it was destroyed when there is no proof of it really being real other than a story and one mans belief

My friend jonathan has an entirely diffrent theroy on the downfall of atlantis.

He says it all has to do with the arc of the covenant and pandoras box. The boy spends his free time between jobs looking up things like this, and says the time line is right.

Then a classmate of mine said that its because the earth reversed the direction it rotated in, completely whiping out the civilization.

I say its all crazyness.

I seen something on the dicscovery channel about this, and their theories are that it could of been wiped away by hurricane, typhoon, or something in that nature.. they found some artifacts miles away from the shoreline that lead up to that era.. And hurricanes, or something like that can leave the place flattened.. Its just one of many theories I guess..

I have doubts against believing that Atlantis truly had nuclear capabilities in which to start such a war. I don't doubt that maybe their science and technology was far beyond what was possible at the time, but nuclear energy ... doubtful.

i have been appointed to trace the alien and phenomenon from the sources on net or books or anything i can get.

interestingly I accepted it as attracting most subject given by my castle outcome of general discussion and I went on searching all sources...

I did went on search engines, meta search engines and ever bit torrent to extract the truth and i am Indian and knows all mentioned in the epics and its prevailing from thousand year vocally in the univesities or in literature.

Regardless of if any particular one is the legitimate reason, it is still food for thought.

For most people though I think the most logical of theories would be the one that is accepted the easiest, based upon things we see happen in the here and now.

Who is to say that the Ancient Atlantian’s didn’t have something similar to nuclear weapons? Who is to say what some might today construe as such a weapon was not something else entirely. It’s all in the wording of things and how things are written down.

Research, research, research... That is what it comes down to and knowing that no matter what we find out or dig up, we may never know the "truth" and its a possibility that all of these theories are not even close to what really happened.
