I managed to get a lot done the past 3 days. In addition to the Forum and Journal updates, here is what I got done today:

Personally I think the talking thingy is kinda funny.
If anyones 'feathers are ruffled'...well... it's a Vampire site.

HOWEVER...comma....

Say I click on the Stalking tab in the main menu to the left of the screen.
If im not stalking someone, it says so. But say I stalk someone...
It comes up with TWO boxes. One for the person Ive stalked...but theres another one above it.
If I delete my list of poor schmoes I feel the need to consistantly watch from the branches of the front yard oak tree, binoculars firmly in hand...
They both go away.

So..... whats the top box for?

It's probably a bug... I didn't notice it when I was testing.. Give me a few minutes to look into it.

I show you stalking 2 people. So when you load the Stalking page, you should have 4 boxes, a 2x2 grid.

If this is not the case, message me and we'll figure it out.

Right now there are no limits. But if it gets excessive, I'll impose some.

The stalker command didn't work to stalk Cancer! does that mean the Prince is not allowed to be stalked ? :)

My speed has gone all sloggish :( I'm finding it impossible to stalk anyone now heh and when I think it has worked, all I get is the message - You are stalking --nick-- and nothing else :(

Question--

Is this feature like the bite where it's just to keep track of the number of people you have "stalked" or can you actually see what the person is doing. I guess the question im asking is what does this do

I like the stalking thing now that i have experimented with it......and I have talked to some that dont care much for it, and i guess i can see their point, but it is a Vampire site so i mean stalking is just one of the things.

when you stalk someone u can see how many times they log on and how many friends they have and how many friends have them and simple stuff like that, not really STALKING options u know what i mean?
its fairly simple...nothing serious.
took me a few minutes when i logged on to figure it out...i saw the feature and i was like...stalking? WHAT?! lol funny stuff

Chose the poor shchlepp you wanna stalk... click their little stalk button in their profile...

then chose the STALKING tab in the main menu.

You'll see what it does.

Well.. for something that is definately giving me so much pleasure and regardless of a "Premium Edition" I wouldn't mnd paying a nominal fee for the usage of Vampire Rave. I know Cancer prolly spends the majority of his free time creating this for us all. Its like mIRC, its brings the users so much satisfaction and happiness at times and the fee is so small in order to provide for the time and hard work poured in there.

Well it's fair enough, that is understandable ... I just hope there will be several options avaliable for this .. as some don't have/use credit nor banks

I find the stalking feature amusing ... but alas it falls under the same catigory as friends ... concidering I see how many people have me on there friends list .. to me they're just stalkers *shrugs* so I stalked myself to see exactly what it is they get to see ... pretty damned harmless if I say so myself .. compaired to what I'm used to doing and getting to see about people I stalk .... just another option that'll be an amusement!! Here's an idea for premium memberships..... a feature that allows one to reach through the screen of someone being excessively stupid and slap the hell out of them. :)

I can think of a few times that would have been nice.

ok the preium memebers I have a bit of an issue with that.. For the only way you can pay for things like that is either credit card or checking accout.. What if you don't have either one?? That is what sucks.. and no I have no one that will let me use one...

Just because you wouldn't be able to pay for a premium membership, which, from what I gather, would just be for added features not currently available, and completely optional, you would be completely objected to the idea, which would be so the site can be better funded and continue operating, and probably allow for much more improvement on the site? Please.

no that is not what I mean. I would be more than happy to give to the site. I know it must take alot to run a site like this. I mean it is by far the best vampire site I have been on. That is not my concern. I ruined my cerdit which leaves it hard for me to contriubte to the site. For most want a credit card or checking account to give to the site. I deal in all things in cash or money orders. I didn't mean to come of sounding cheap. I would deffinatly give to help and a bouns we get extra features. I mean how wouldn't just hard for us that don't have the means too..

Which is why I asked the question earlier ... the option of a yearly/bi-yearly or even quarterly fee ... so that some can pay via MO's or the like ... I don't do CC or checks either ... and I know there are more people out there ...

Well, this is why I didn't really want to bring it up. There's no sense in answering all of these questions as I am still developing the Premium framework. This is still a couple of months off.

Just trust that I will work it all out, as I always do.

I do have one other question on the "stalking" it's in a 24 hour period ... when does that begin and end ... and is it based on our indvidual time zones or eastern time? ie... does the time period start at 12:00 am and end 11:59 pm ...

A 24-hour period runs 24-hours back from the time you request the page. It was set up in this fashion to prevent time zone confusion.
