sorry to do this just testing my theory here.
my daughter and my animals i believe see ghosts and possibly talk to them. i know a few people who claim this, but just wondering what others thoughts are on this subject. feel free to message me if u want to discuss it further. rather than put it on here. thanks.

i know exactly what you mean. i can see them ant talk to them for as long as i can remember. i have two living with me right now but as long as they dont mess with me i dont put up any blocks and allow them to live freely. i used to be scared of it because i had imaginary dead friends as a child but its usefull.

animals and younger children are said to be able to see it and feel it more them most adults. and I believe the reasoning goes as followed.. ( don't quote me I am pulling from memory.. lol)

One view is that they are still closer to the other side at an early age and can still see things and hear things. They havent been closed off fully to the other side. Thier minds are still "open". Which is why you will hear some people say that sometimes a childs imaginary friend isnt so imaginary. Some people also believe that by closing that part of the childs mind not believing in them or brushin them off they also tend to lose it. The child loses focus and that part of the ability goes.


I remember having more experiences as a child. Not so much now. I am sure the reasons above have something to do with it.

countess, you're exactly right. There are plenty of cases where as a child they see "spirits" and communicate with them. I grew up seeing "black shadow forms" and each time they freaked me out and my grandmother would always think it was a bad dream. I saw them later on in my teenage years and even now once in a while. They can communicate to us if we're open to it. my shaman friend said the same thing...that it's because they are closer to the "source".

So my memory dosen't fail me in such things... Thats good to know! lol Very rarely now at the age of 25 I can sometimes see things. Its almost like someone flashes something infront of me. I really do miss the abilities that I had as a child.

i definetly believe in ghosts, and spirits and such. I think my house has ghosts in it. I have a haunted house! :-x

My cats do that too. I have 3, and have had many before them, that i think have stayed with us.

There are ghosts in my house, I know this is true because things have dissapeared for awhile, from the places i knew them to be, then later, they show up again right where i was looking.

I think it has alot to do with how open minded you are and how keen your sences are. Animals have exrtaordinary sences, therefore can sence alot more than humans can. when it comes to children been able to feel and sence them, they know no better as such, so are very open minded/free willed... (make sence?).. I most be one of the very small number of people on this site, that has never ever, witnessed any ghosts and such.. i'm open minded, but maybe they know better than to try and come and scare me.....

yes , children are suseptible to these things and therefore have the power to see....i guess because they are pure?

I think children more often see supernatural events because it hasn't yet been beaten out of them.

When a child tells an adult they see something that the adult doesn't see, the adult will reprimand the child. It doesn't take long for the child to start seeing only what the adult see's.

wow cool, so someone else has seen the black shadow figures as well. i have seen these on and off for years. i have also seen shadows cast from things i can't see, white mist, dots of light zip across a room in a stright line, bread get pushed off a counter that was over a foot away from an edge, and been talken to once.

so yeah i am a believer.

oh, and for the kid thing, i have a very under-developed theroy on that, it envolves chi, ....

i think people can see them and talk to them but that though kind of freaks me out*looks around the room* wonder if ones here right know *hello hello*

I believe ghosts do exist. I think they always have. As long as people are open minded I believe they can see ghosts. If you don't believe in ghosts than you really can't see them now can you.

well not sure how many know but my daughter is only 5 months old. but i do feel things here. can't see them, but i do feel them from time to time.

I don't "see" them with my eyes. I feel them. Sometimes the feeling is so strong that it is if I can see them. I used to be able to tell you what would happened before it did. Or I could lead you through a place I have never been in my life. I will always belive my child and incourage them to use their gift.

I do believe in ghosts but I do get sick of people going on and on about what they have seen. I'm not bashing you people just making that clear. I'm talking about this one girl who would tell these stories to get attention, how she would play tag with them in a graveyard. She is about 16 now. It is possible she did so but she is such a dramatic person I honestly doubt it. I just get tired of people like that because they make it harder to actually find truthful stories about "ghosts" But I do believe in them just because of my own personal experiances/

AAAH!! *faints*

A few weeks ago, I woke up around 3 in the morning because i heard my son's closet door slamming back and forth. his room is next door to mine and it was pretty loud. i thought he was awake and goofing off instead of sleeping but when i walked in the light was off and there were a lot of little flashing light-looking orbes in his room. just hovering on the ceiling. when i opened the door completely they scattered and dissapeared! i thought maybe i was just seeing things but the next night i head voices in his room. i walk in and yet again nothing. each time he was fast asleep and never woke up till the morning. spooky but true.

Very very spooky. that would have creeped me out so bad.

Once I found a bird with a broken wing. it was a tiny little bird and I pretty much knew it was going to die.I figured I would take it inside for the night so it wouldn't have to freeze to death. i put it in a cage that was pretty good sized. the bars were really close together and the door was wired shut so it was hard to open. So I placed the bird in there iwth something to eat.
Later that night, I was lying in bed, but for some reason I couldn't sleep. suddenly my body jerked upright on it's own and I was sitting there wondering, "what in the hell am I doing?"
Then all of a sudden I felt this heartbeat, or something like that. It filled the house, and especially the room next to me where the bird was. I couldn't move, or at least it felt like it. The beating felt like it was crushing me and I faintly heard the bird in the next room screaming and flapping around in her cage. then the bird just stopped and the heartbeat slowed and faded. I didn't dare go into that room I just stayed where i was and didn't fall asleep.
The next morning my dad tells me "that bird in there is dead " I just stared at him with that expression of "Duh"
Only when I went in there and looked in at the bird I felt all of my breath leave me completely. The poor thing was laying on its back and its entire chest was hollowed out, the wound looked mummified. It seemed surgically removed. I checked the bird for other wounds, nothing was broken except for her originally wounded wing. I'm not sure what to make of it, but it did certainly creep me out. Any ideas?

Getting back on track, I think that children are able to sense/see ghosts better, like others because their minds or still innocent. They haven't been corrupted yet. So they are more open and eager to learn and experience different things.

As for animals, I just think there is just something in the genetic make up of animals a "seventh sense" so to speak that they have over humans. I mean how often have you heard the what seems like "larger the life stories" about a family pet senses danger and alerting everyone seconds before disaster strikes. Or doing amazing feats to save someone. I think they can see and sense things that most humans can't.

a child will all ways been able to see more than we, for there minds are more open,and not full of the b.s. that has been told to us to open to all things is great to bad as adults we have lost this..

hey death, everytime i would see the "watchers", i could sense them in deep sleep even. i would get woke up EVERY time they came around and it's like when i caught them, they would run as if they don't wish to be seen. I know they feel heavyish too but some say that's because they use dark energy.

I definately believe that this sort fo thing can happen. I get vibes from walls, and sometimes thinkI see things. Cancer has a point about children being more seseptable.

i think young children and animals can see them cause they have an innocense that older people loose over time cause they become clouded with beliefs and other worries.

children dont have any beliefs, to them its just like a game, they do not understand, this is why i think they can see things that we cant.

I dont think it's the innocense. Mostly because I did things when I was younger that people wouldn't find so sweet and innocent yet I could still sense things and feel things. I think it's more that adults tend to have to worry about so many other things and the world expects so much from them so many people lose the ability to just sit and listen.

i believe in ghosts, nothing is wrong with them and if kids and animals see them, then they must see them...

Exactly, I think any one can see them if we stop trying so hard to see everything and understand everything. Just sit back and let go of everything we have "learned" and try to really listen.

if u read my post on hanging i talk about the ghosts in my house i have seen them but moastly i can just feel them. i often get very cold (to the point i can see my breath) and i kno they are there sometimes my cat is in the room and if you just watch it it acts like someone is stroking it and petting its stomach it roles on its back and plays.

once whalst i was watching one of these happening i watched her fur and could actuly see it was beine diprest as if a hand was pushing on it but i could see nothing.

Apparently young children and animals have very strong senses. Thats why when there is a storm about you probably notice your animals behaviour changing slightly. I would not suprise me in the least if your kids talk to spirits. Its natural as long as they talk to the right ones.

children can talk to ghosts because they have no reason not too... most adults can not because of fear...

I can't say that i've seen too many ghosts, but i've heard my share of them.

yeah, i would actually get woken up by the "watchers" as well. i once stayed up for over an hour because it was just 3 feet from me and i could tell it was staring at me. it stayed there, staring, in a most un-natural way, as if my soul was the object it held within its gaze; for mintues it watched, and then it slowly vainshed to the air it surely came from. (* i wrote that the way i did just to try and make it spooky so it would be more fun, hope it worked :) )
as for the bird being hollowed out, freaky cra!. likely an unclean spirit. i wanted to say deamon at first, but they usualy need some sort of a host to function in our realm far as i can tell.
don't think it was a ghost because i have heard very limited accounts of hostile ghosts.

I know a little too much about ghosts etc ....some things I have witnessed and have had happen to me and those around me are extremely perculiar to say the least ...the list is too long for here ...however if you would like me to elaborate just msg me and i will tell all if you think you can handle it ...muahahaha...::giggles::

I believe in ghost and I think people do have some interaction with them but not as often as people say. I am interested in finding more about them and researching. I think there are many things we don't know about this world yet.

I know children and animals can see ghosts. Children just seem to be more open to things we would overlook. As we get older, most of us seem to get kind of jaded and cant believe in things we cant see. I for one have been seeing them for years. I not only see them, they can talk to me and touch me. I dont really mind if it helps them. Jids believe in the unbelievable.

There are some in this world who for one reason or the other are blessed (or cursed) with being able to see into the spiritual world at the same time as they are awake here in this world. These people have been called crazy by some... clairvoyant by others... The simple truth is that the spiritual world..where we all end up after this world...is alive all around us at all times...don't think of it so much as a physical place as it is a state of life and living.... nobody really dies...they just cross from one plane of life to another...and some of us can see both at the same time.

As I think about this- When I was young I really wanted to have some "ghost friend", and often I Imagined it....but now, that idea more scares me than interests me..

i certainly believe in ghosts. my computer teacher was out rowing on the clarence river in australia and it was an anniversary the day he was there for these kids that had died in the river. he was in the exact spot where they died and he felt something col and wet on his legs. he didn't believe in ghosts but he does now because his wife said that he was terrified. this is a true story. so i wouldn't doubt ghosts or the supernatural.

I must I'm not the most experience in such matters but I will throw in my two sense anyways :D

I believe in ghosts, and the fact that there is the unexaplined. And I would have to agree with Artemisia. Fear is the reason why most of us don't "see" ghosts at an older age. As we get older society fills us with ideas that Ghosts are spooky and bad. What makes a creaky door so creepy at night? The fact that we have been taught to associate it with something to be feared...a ghost, a being that could hurt us. Cause of that we delude ourselves that it is something logical...sure in fact it may be...but we convince ourselves the same way if we heard voices.."we are imagining things we might tell our self," its the fear of there being something we don't understand and can't control. And in fact create "logical" explanations. Thus why I believe animals and children are more perceptive of things, they aren't "taught to fear" a floating light or an unexaplained touch.

However I believe that not all the things we see actually happen either. Some sure do but not all. Sure we may remember them that way, but you must admit sometimes we have dreams that seem so real, and they become mixed with memories, or maybe as a child you were convinced when you woke up it happened or can't fully recollect the event and it becomes a memory. Now Im not saying that these things never happened, Im just saying some of us might be remembering things from child hood that "are" our imagination...but some of them did happen.

So I believe in all, its a mix of both.

I believe in ghosts. I have 2 that follow me where ever I go. I see them frequently. I talk to them alot. They are my Great Gandad on my dad's side and my Grandpa on mum's side. I never met my Great Grandad cause he died in the late 60's and I wasn't born till 83. My Grandpa died when I was 11 years old. They give me advice and hold me when I cry. At first my husband thought it was really freaky, but he's grown accustomed to them. My Great Grandad has been with me for as long as I can remember. I know my twin girls can see them cause some times when I get to see them, I see them playing with or protecting Queiviera and Eve.
I also see Dark Shadows.

I've seen too much to deny anything. Children, as they grow, are told or conditioned that 'there's nothing there.' Fortunately I grew up in an environment where that didn't happen.

When you grow older and fine tune it, it's cold Nectromancy.

i live with my dead grandpa, an evil man,sad old lady,my dead dog Shadoe, and a little girl. they like to run around during the night and the morning hours of the morning mostly in the attic cause that is their home. i hear them everynight walking around above my bedroom. so ghosts are real and yes i have seen and heard them in action
