And its just the only place we can do whatever we wanna without thinking of results.

I would say that the quote speaks to our unconscious having a freaking good time. When we dream its our insides leaking out and few of us have control over that process. So yeah, it gives us the go ahead to be insane if that is what is shakin in our heads. Me, my dreams are either erotic or scary...not so insane, :-)

That quote actually coincides with Psychology's view of dreams. Dreams, in essence, allow us to vent. Although I find that sometimes to be inaccurate because I sometimes get answers in my dreams to problems that I couldn't figure out consciously.

Kiros......Psychology (although I do respect it) is still a guessing game, so only look at it with a skeptical eye, especially when they interperate something that is illogical to begin with.

Dreams are random bits of what we are, view them with open-minds and dreams make sense.....but what you may understand, others would be confused and make a opinion based on there own experiences......

So we can be a lil nutty in dreamland if we feel like it and as said b4 maybe dreaming is a way for us to solve our problems.
I believe that because we are all unique and individual our own interpretations of our dreams are exactly that: our own interpretation and when it comes to dreams as said b4 we can over analyse our dreams which is a pain in the ass to say the least :) jus depends on the individual really

dreams are more then they seen they are messages of what is going to happen in our lives we just need to work out what they mean

In our dreams we can do everything we want.We can fantasise about our darkest secrets.No one can tell us what to do or not to do.No one can tell us what's allowed and not.In our dreams we build another world and our wishes manifest.We'r free to do whatever we want no matter how insane the thing might be.I guess that's what it is:)

I don't worry about what my subconcience is trying to tell me considering if th at were the case I would have a lot of inner issues.
If some of our dreams became a reality it would be considered "insane".

Basically, in dreams you can do whatever you want to. If you do crazy things, it won't really effect you, but still beware of dreams.

I can't remember my dreams.

what kind of sreams do some of you have that just keep repeating thamselves?

dreams re cool...u can alive eveyrthing,u can try everything and even if u do smth bad nobody ll punish u.sometimes i am conservative and thats why i like dreams cause there i can do things which my mind normally doesnt let me do.

dream as freud say is wish fulfilment. ever dream of that person you wanted that ignore u in ur arms at night. thats cuz you wish it so bad and that is fulfiled in ur dream. so all our inner dreams and stuff we don't know manifest in our dreams

it obviously means that in our dreams we're finally allowed to be free, to do whatever we want, be whoever we want, and such. i wouldnt' call it insane though. people call it insane cuz wut happens in dreams normally wouldnt' happen when we're awake, but if it happens in a dream as easily as something would happen when ur awake, isnt' it normal....

It has occured to me what if dreams are just images of our true potentials. what if we could really fly. jumps above several buildings etc... yet something in this realm is holding us back from reaching that potential

I think dreaming not only fabricates the subconcious, but it allows a person to confront issues they would never think over awake. somethings really are too frightening to confront awake. this could be where the insanity comes it, because dreams often run backwards or all over the page. confronting these emotions and problems in dreams is easier.

in addition, everyone uses dreams to have fantasies. dreams are the insanities we would not procure while awake.

I think it means when you sleep and dream, you can be what and how you want to be. Without causing any harm or dammage to anyone. 'safely insane...' yeah.

I keep having the same dream that I am being chased by some guy or that I'm pregnant and I am going to die if the baby lives. They are the ones that most often repeat themselves. It's weird.

when i was younger i had a dream that me, my bro, and my cousin were being chased by a big red and black beast and it was chaing us all over in this huge city.... and it ate my cousin.... and me and my bro kept running and then it would end.... and i would have it over and over and all the time....

I really think it has a lot to do with dreams being unexplained and people believe that the insane have ideas and thoughts that are unexplained something you don't understand so with dreams we are all allowed to see the unexplained without being criticized for it because it's just a "dream"

A beautiful quote, which has much truth in... if we didnt dream, we probably wouldn't have as much emotion and scope of imagination as we do, and not being able to get out those repressed thoughts and emotions woudl drive us all extremely loopy.

However, dreams are also something which if tapped into, can tell us a lot about ourselves and the world around us, and we can interpret them to find out what they mean.

That quote was actually the subject of an essay i did in high school. I'll sumarize it here assuming I learn how to spell.

I believe, as most people do, that dreams are an outlet to our real selves.

However putting who we really are underneath it all isn't socially acceptable so dreams are the only way to be insane without winding up in a mental hospital.
