if you could describe in one sentence what it means to you to be a vampire

A hunger for blood in a body tormented,weakened and guilt ridden for the lives taken to survive.

To have the ability to connect with multiple people on a deeper and more intimate level...

Just being able to be different, yet the same at the same time; having so many different feelings inside of me, being answer by just one touch of blood unto my lips, tis a wonderful taste.

A VAMPIRE IS SOMEONE THAT LIKE TO BE OUT ONLY AT NIGHT... THINKS THAT THEY CAN ONLY SERVIVE IF THE HAVE BLOOD TO DRINK... AND YEAH THATS IT

Well, it is being me. Seeing that I have no choice in being a Vampyre, apart of a living condition of lack of life energy. Its like... what does it mean to be someone with diabetes or cancer or... Someone without some sort of illness or physical handicap.

being a vampire for me is my life, its not a life styl or acting like im some sort of demon, i am what i am. i lead a normal life, well normal for me

Just a normal being with some differences labelled as weird....

In simple turms i am a sangunarious vampire, no tv crap, no demons, no masters. just plain simple vampire. I have thirst for blood in the sence that i need it for mere energy purposes. apart from that i lead a pretty normal life if you class bdsm as normal which on this site im sure a lot of you would. and that is my life who and what i am, nothing more.

To be a vampire is to be possessed of a power so emince that the sun doth fear it, a life so large that it can only be lived in darkness, a thirst so deep that only the dark pleasures of the fleash can quench it, and a hunger so desperate, that only the blood of others can abate it ....

It means not having to worry about tan lines, skin cancer or wrinkle creams.

I asked for one knowing i would get more but i have asked many before with out saying one sentence and it ends up more information then how they really feel so i figured if i asked this way i would get the most deepest reasons and not a descrition what a vampire is

To be a vampire, means, that you don't have to wake up EARLY In the morning and take a bath to teach college kids and also you don't have to drive and line up to get food..

i think it means to drain ones soul one way or another not nessasarly by drinking blood but by other ways also

The draining of blood or energy from a victim/willing participant in order to function that lil bit more....

i think it's like the feeling of a dream. when realety is nothig else then a wonderfull dead love to blood.

Walking in the dead of the night, head held high, the smell of those around you filling the area while looking for your prey, eyes like a hawks that moves constantly and never strays from the task ahead of you, moving like death through the night, seeming to glide while moving with a grace that can beat the best of the dancers in the world, with a voice of poison filled honey that captivates your prey while you dig your fangs into their lushious neck and draw forth their crimson blood to fulfill the ever present gnawing feeling of your hunger that burns through your being.

It means giving in to deep desires, such as drinking blood... and fulfilling your destiny as a dark loner... to love what others find horrible and frightening...

to be a vampire is too conect on a deeper level with people and to be able to tell what there lives have been like in the past but its also a thirst thaqt cant be quinched and the guilt and sometimes longing to be mortal again!

MMM... I've seen that many people here think they are more than humans.. they even speak of humans as a "mere being". Like if being a vampire gives us superiority over everything else. I kind of understand what Lucios means by arrogance

i dont think is being more than human.. maybe is just like being hold different raise. Culture

To me, my vampirism is a thing of fascination, blessing, and curse. The fascination is that I am different and how the night is so beautiful to me. It is a blessing because I can take energy or drink blood (im both a psy and a sang vampire) and then utilize the boost in energy manipulation, and in general, become more powerful at night (can't wait for Halloween......... that will be a surge of power....). The curse aspect is quite simple and obvious- the sun hurts and makes me itch if it touches my skin directly. Vampirism to me is a beautiful thing, and I feel quite poetic and sexy as the night fills me with glee.

Blood for me is much much more delicious than energy. It tastes soo divine.... like the fabled Ambrosia that the Greek gods drank (and the Roman gods; they're the same pantheonon of deities)

well lets see it means being misuderstood sometimes vary lonely, hidding in the shadows at times and other out in the open trying to live nomaly and being know as differnt every where you go and being though of as mythical.

A vampire is a thing that's different. They have unbelieveable power to do things that humans can't do. And they have feeling just like u and I have. But they can live forever. They can be very beautiful but at same time mean. But that only if there not good. Some can charm u other u will hate.
