Yes.....make sure you really know your donor...makes sure they they have had a medical exam.
It's better to be safe in such things. I will warn you...it's most addictive.

Don't bother drinking your own blood, you'll be wasting your time. My first suggestion is to go to a butcher shop and ask for some blood, tell them you're making blood pudding or something, if you feel weird about it. Try that and see how it makes you feel. Please do not take blood from a stranger! This is extremely dangerous~ HIV, hepatitis, MRSA, VRE, I could go on and on. Know your donor well, your spouse, a family member or a good friend (with an open mind). Be careful if you're cutting the donor also. I think that should get you started.

Do not, under any circumstances, collect it before drinking if the person has blood that is prone to quick clotting. I've had the displeasure of drinking coagulated blood. It's very much like drinking a runny egg.

Be extremely careful how much you ingest as too much blood in the stomach can cause medical problems. You have to start slow and work your way up.

Besides knowing your donor well, and having trust in them, you must make sure they are recently tested for any diseases and be up to date in less a 6 month period, have and show the record, offer yourself to get tested as an added sign of trust on your part if you wish, and by all means pratcice clean methods of blood removal from the donor, be it by needled, lancel, knife-sterilize before and after, and take care of your donor.

Hmm, my advise, try enough but not too much, you want the full effect but dont want to get sick, try about a shot glass full, that'll give you a nice first impression of the power of the blood. :)

Humans where not made for drinking blood - My advice is to seek mental health help and talk to someone about it. The risks are far to great - Even if you know your "Donor".

I have to agree with ~Faceless Unknown~ on this one...

"New Vampire"? Are you serious? Mockery will get the individual no where fast. I mean no offense by this statement, but the individual is born vampire and cannot "just" become vampire over night. Even by the means of the supposed escuse of an "awakening."

Get serious. As far as taste goes, you may abhore the simple taste of blood in general, depends on the individual you get it from, some is bitter, some sweet. Some tastes like a penny, while others taste like the best wine you would ever have.

Like I said, the vampire is not something to joke and play around with...It may be roleplay and make believe to some, but to others...This is WHO WE ARE! Bottom line, period!

(Continued from last post)

Please please, know the fine line between "blood fetish" vs "vampire". These are two very seperate individualities. Vampire and blood are instinctual. Therefore the vampire has had blood before the age of 10 at the latest.

Blood fetishists, drink blood for the simple act of drinking it and nothing more...No urges, just show boating for some strange reason.

If you have not had blood before now, I may disagree with you. Unless you have pricked yourself and sucked the wound, perhaps a papercut or whathaveyou, I guaran-damn-tee most of society has tasted at least a drop of blood by the time age 16 rolls around.

At least know what you are getting into before inquiring about when, what, why, or how...No matter what the circumstance, as the outcome may be unreasonable for some.

Absolutely only with the one you love. Blood consumption is not a game. It is something sacred between one and ones consort. Even if you "think" you know your donor/companion well enough, be cautious and do not enter lightly. And yes there's a fine line between vampire and blood fetish in todays society. Some people just want to try something taboo to spice things up, actually in my oppinion...a good majority of those who claim to be vampire and need to consume blood are just satisfying a fetish. No one NEEDS to drink blood to live...lay off the movies folks!

I wouldnt advise cutting. They cause far more damage and are likely to infect. I recommended syringes. Thats the way to do it if one desires the taste of blood so desperately. Just extract the desired amount in this way, it is the most safe way, and one feels much better as well.

As always since you are only human, all the safest measures and precautions in the world will not save you from Hep, HIV, and or any other blood born diseases. Always use antibiotics, alchohol pads, cleaning kits and or anything else deeming fit to keep your skin clean at all times.

WE ARE ALL human soulshroude, so we are all suseptable to the dangers of infection, etc... So even those that claim themselves "true Vampire" need to take precautions as well when sharing in the give and take of a blood ritual.( If we weren't we'd all be like those fictional vampires. Immortality, immunity, blah blah)

I am hoping you are attempting to glean insight so that you can then pass it off as experience.

See my question for you is, where is the pressure to experiment with drinking blood coming from, what else have you tried to create concern for your behavior, or what else have you claimed to experiment with?

If you hesitated this long to taste blood, then it is an impulse, triggered not by some idiot telling you that you are a vampire, but by the feeling that you want to fit in, but the condition is to claim to, or actually drink blood.

An extreme example: A group of guys had a Secret Order, or at least they hinted to lower class men that they did, now the lower class men would seek
Entrance to that not so secret club, feeling, They will relate better if they advance in the society, so they have them do crazy things, things they did not even do perhaps, then they whisper in the grape vines.. All to be ridiculed, and wrote of as another easily convinced wanna-be, you will get no guarantee that once you share your blood drinker that you will be anymore "In" then you are now, if all the girls you hung out with bragged about swallowing semen ( I know blunt , please cringe) would you even brag you had .. Even if you didn't? Now consider the one that brags the most, probably is the one that didn't, now figure after every girl , confesses, or professes, that the instigator to the tell all ( who heard the info from others) tells everyone else.. Food for thought.

Know your donor well; make sure they actually are a WILLING donor, lol; don't take too much, really a few droplets should be enough; and brace yourself for the taste. At times blood can be less than sweet, so taste it before you gulp it, if you know what I mean. That's all I have for you.

Practice theatrics, if you set the stage right it can appear that you are lancing veins. You can even use prepared butcher blood, I also have an FX

Unlike some, take the advice of elder Vampires. Most have been Sanguine from a very young age. First both you and your donor need to be tested for any communicable disease. Then you should have a strong bond with the donor. Weather your in a relationship or very close as strong friends. This is not just cut and drink, There a lot more that goes along with it. The donor needs to be emotionally sound. This can cause a very codependent situation and turn bad quickly, this being in the way of emotional black mail. Just be very careful , do a lot of research and get a lot of advice first then have a very long talk with your donor to see if the truly understand the commitment they're making. Best wishes. I you need any other advice feel free to message me. I have been a sanguine since I was 10 yrs old and in that time I've had only a handful of donors. There are reasons for that. But best of luck to you. Just remember this is not a game it is a way of life so do not take it lightly.

Never drink more than a pint. Make sure you and your donor get blood work done and make sure that your donor has neither diabetes or is HIV positive.

Always be safe and take ALL the necessary precautions before, during, and after taking the blood into your body.

the health warnings given before are very valid. never feed from one that you dont have the blood work from a doctor from. its just good sense. forget hiv...saliva tends to kill hiv virus (altho its not a sure thing!), but id be even more afraid of hep c.

Most people reach for the health warnings on this subject. While that is definitely a concern, there are other things to consider. Do not feed needlessly. You're either a vampyre or you're not. Feed from people you trust and especially from people you love. Do not walk this path lightly. Do not walk this path unless you wish to continue it for the rest of your life.

Perhaps a Prop run can have the same effect, although with the option to reveal the crafted illusion. Any body you consider blood letting with should be Sanitary, Sterile, Symbolism is powerful, applied in ritual theatrics is a

Good advice here...what I'd like to know is how can any of you stand the taste? I tried it twice - from a safe source - and for the life of me, it was like sucking on a piece of iron. It's obviously an acquired taste...for me, it's too bad blood can't taste like a really good chianti or pinot grigio.

When considering accounts of drinking blood, I one must allow for those who profess to much. How many people make shocking claims just for the potential of reaction( favorable, or adverse). Then how many are simply claiming to have frank blood to draw out those who have (usually to mock them).
