There are so many Great Vampire Characters in Books, TV, Movies, Etc. From Dracula to Count Duckula. So tonight i thought i would ask 4 part question:

Which Vampire Character best describes you?

You are correct, this is an extremely difficult choice. Since the representations are a bit lacking. I am going to have to go with the multiple choice answer.

Louis as he is always laid back and relaxed, Nick Knight for his cunning, Eric Northman because he has that cocky smugness that I seem to have, Alex from Tale of a Vampire from 1992 for his quiet mysteriousness, Sethane from Razor Blade Smile for his arrogant "lets paly a game" attitude, and finally David from the Lost Boys for his "f*ck with me and die" personality.


What traits does this Character have that you see in yourself? As described above. Cocky, arrogant, mysterious, cunning, quiet, defiently playful, and temperamental attitude that I have.


Why did you Pick this Character?

These characters as stated above describe me the best.

Not at all, the Rave is simply a place for time wasted in my life while I am at work and nothing more.

Which Vampire Character best describes you?

Ok, I know this is weird but I feel an affinity towards Buffy. She is a human, but a chosen one. So, not really human in that sense. She has to go to school, work, balance scoring grades with saving the world. Oh yes, dying, meeting Dracula, falling in love with an undead, and then falling in lust with another one from the darker side. She has a family. She loves them to bits and literally went back to hell and back again. She returned different, and continued with fulfilling her destiny. I feel the most "closest" to her character. I mean I love the malls! *huge smilez*

What traits does this Character have that you see in yourself?

Understanding, human vulnerability, honest, witty, and she's short... lol..

Why did you Pick this Character?
I did not "pick" her by any means. I watched one episode, started reading the books, and then managed to make BUffy the one series that I've loyally followed, if I'm loyal to anything/anyone else. I have a mind of my own, and people know that. I don't follow rules, basically. But neither am I a troublemaker.

Jonathon Harker

2) What traits of this character do I have in myself?

I have had a close brush with a couple of female vampires but was not turned or enslaved. But I am left more easily seduced by their advances than the "average" man who did not believe in vampires. Unlike Jonathon, I do not want to hunt them. I want to learn from them.

3) Why pick this character over others?

In most media [especially movies], the character most like Jonathon Harker is the main character. Fright Night 2 comes to mind. I do not remember the name of the young man that is bitten by the female vampire but he is playing Jonathon, Mina and Van Helsing [Rody McDowell s playing a bumbling Dr. Watson to the young man's Sherlock Holmes].

Jonathon Harker is fearful of the female vampires and Dracula and yet builds up enough courage so that he can overcome that fear and act on behalf of his beloved Mina.

Did Vampire Rave influence me in picking my character?

No. I have only been on Vampire Rave for a couple of weeks.

For me it is armond, refined, devious and he looks like the good guy but you can never tell. We also have the same taste in clothing and sexuality.

Count Duckula best describes me...because of a mix up my reincarnation which didn't go to plan, I am a vegetarian....more interested in the pursuit of wealth, knowledge and fame as an entertainer!

The trait that this vampire has is which I see in myself is the humour which the show has...

VR would never influence me with my choice at all.

at this point, Id have to pick Claudia.

why? Claudia was an eager learner at first. She learned what she could and ran with it so that she became her own person. She also knew what she liked and didnt like. She was also spiteful, that I do not share with her. I am forever grateful at having been taught whatever it is...good or bad.

Jasper Cullen (sadly its true, that the best vampire that suits my personality is from twilight)


What traits does this Character have that you see in yourself?

ability to affect moods in others, to change the dynamic between people so they are distacted from their normal reactions. Also the war like upbringing he endured as descibed in the breaking dawn. the only other character in vampire fiction simple is armand but im not a sociopath, if anything i am the exact opposite to moral. which again is like jasper feeling terrible for almost hurting bella in new moon at her birthday party because he was the least experienced at controling his vampirism towards animals and not humans.


Why did you Pick this Character?

honestly because my up bringing by a military officier was very much like a war zone where he was the alpha, and me the head beta, and had to perform to a certain level of be replaced by someone more competant

no, nothing on VR has influenced the way i view vampires actually, it has influenced my view of humans though.

I concidered this for a while and decided that I most definately do not associate myself with any of the fictional vampires.

In my opinion the best vampires are the most inhuman ones... the more inhuman... the better the vampire.

I will not choose some wishy washy vampire as my choice, as trhey are not a vampire. I will not choose a cool one, because I try not to be too inhuman.

I think the fight to embrace humanity, with the freedom from memes/restrictions of society, is what I am trying to be.

VR has affected how I think of vampires, how can it not? it has also affected me as to different points of view, the more points of view you have, the less restricted you are.

This lack of societal restrictions is teh only enviable aspect of Vampirism... IMO.

# What traits does this Character have that you see in yourself?
Often feel betrayed, afraid everyone's going to leave me, enjoy the game and the hunt. And I'm older than I look.

# Why did you Pick this Character?
I remember a few years ago I took some online quiz that said I was like her. Something about being a slight bit of a Lolita and all that. I identify with her because I could feel her pain and loneliness whenever I watched the movie when I was younger.
She just wanted to be loved.

I most closely relate to the Count Saint Germain character in Chelsea Quinn Yarbro's vampire seires. He's quiet, keeps to himself, is sort of bookish, and is always helping others in need. And when push comes to shove, he doesn't take any shit.
(Okay - I'm not so quiet, but whatever).

i have to do the multiple choice as well. my number one is Dracula. my favorite rendition of him is in Bram Stokers Dracula. in that he is a force of nature, willing to do what he must do to survive, but also his heart is actually filled with love. he is a mighty warrior, refined when he chose to be, etc. he is an interesting dichotomy.
the other is Lestat. i sometimes have his screw it all attitude, irreverence, and there is that whole music thing LOL.
no vampire rave hasnt influenced how i see myself, but ive met some wonderful people here.

I would have to say Lillie Langtry. She is Primogen of the Toreador Clan and a charachter in Kindred: The Embraced.

She was creative and owned a night club. She also found her way into the arms of the one vampire that was head of all the clans. She always kept her eyes and ears open to what was going on and was very clever at maneuvering through all the politics going on unscathed.

I am musically inclined and was going to open a club with my brother at one time so I can see myself as a vampire owning a night club and being socially involved with the clans.

Vampire Rave had no impact on any of my interests pertaining to vampires on any level. I am here for fun.

Like soulshoude I don't think there is any one character that fits me, but instead an amalgam of several. They would be Dracula, Lestat, the hybrid from Underworld, Nick Knight and Mick from Moonlight.

I'm combining the next 2 questions # What traits does this Character have that you see in yourself? # Why did you Pick this Character?

Dracula because he is always a gentleman. Lestat because he doesn't care about the rules, his sense of freedom and because he doesn't just treat humans like food. The hybrid because he is an outcast even from his own people and because I have been accused of looking like a werewolf in mid change if i don't shave for a few days. Nick Knight and Mick because they try to do good with their powers.
