After reading who is your favorite super hero it is clear that Batman is the most popular because of his dark side, so now I'm asking who is your favorite villain?
Mine would have to be Venom from Spiderman. I love the alien suit and all its abilities but having said that I hated him in the last movie, I feel they butchered him.
I like Carnage from Spider man. He in my opinion is cooler and darker than Venom ever could be
always loved cat woman, mostly because she bounces back and forth from super hero to super villian
For me it's Erik Lehnsherr a.k.a Magneto from the X-Men universe hands down.
I find him a very intelligently complex character with a realistic historical background of human fallacies & discrimination that while consequently pushing him to become a villain he does so on reasons which should give most of us much to reflect about. This is also much reflected in his relationship with Professor Xavier (Leader of the X-Men) with whom maintains a reciprocal respect.
Of course his powers, even as seen in the movies are also quiet impressive as well. :)
Apocalypse
from the x-men
just cause he can't be beaten by anybody
Politicians??? lol just kidding I would have to say cat woman.
Davros leader of the daleks from doctor who
Exsterminate .... Exsterminate
i love batman and the joker ...... but some people debate whether or not they are "super". i dont care they are super to me and my favorite.
My favorite would have to be [dun dun dunnn] poison ivy because she kicks mega butt!
XD
I am surprised no one has mentioned Sephiroth from the Final Fantasy series.
The Riddler. Who else to leave clues to baffle the bat?
The way he dresses and the way he talks is always what made him stand out to me.
i have two and one i consider good guy too
i love catwoman and joker for they both know how to get under your skin, have fun and fool people
i would have to go with two face life is just filled with choices is it not lol!
I always had a perverse respect for Lex Luthor. Obsessed with power, greed, and domination.... he was at least human, with predictably human weaknesses.
Mine would have to be Dr. Evil from the Austin Powers movies.
Anyone who would want to take over the world for one million dollars has to be evil. LOL
My favorite Villians must be Zodiak...
First my condolence for the type of "favorite Villians"...
however for my conclusion on why...
What I consider super is one who actually did something, it is easy to create a story and call someone "the bad guy"...
Since the topic is favorite comic super villain, I have to agree with Yendor. Magneto has an amazing super power and one can understand why he has chosen to become a villian.
I actually think Dick Dastardly's dog Muttley is the funniest mofo ever when he starts laughing!!!
galactus
predator.why cant they win and kill the nasty humans?
either venom why? he wants to kill spidey and thats all + a bad ass symbiote
carnage pure evil... kills just because he can+ badassier symbiote
joker we share a few traits...
riddler he is awesomely intelligent and toys with bats
spawn another badass symbiote
and finally,
scarecrow, come on the dude uses your worst fears to drive u insane
I never resonated with Carnage as a villain. I preferred Venom's brand of one-minded obsession over Carnage's chaotic, anarchic philosophy.
Just me though...
i cant believe the greatest villain ever... Al gore wait i meant Darth Vader
my favorite would have to be barbosa from pirates of the carribean
Sinestro from Green Lantern
he was once the greatest of the Green Lanterns but eventually became a fear mongering tyrant all while believing that what he was doing was necessary to bring order to the universe he causes disorder in.
There are so many great super villians it`s hard to choose between Dracula (vastly under used and too often camped up), Doctor Doom, Dormmamu or Baron Mordo(from Dr Strange), to name but a few.
However I have to agree with many others on this topic and go for Magneto, a great power, an understandable back story and believable motivation.
My favorite would have to be Lex Luthor...I'm a huge superman fan, and he's a pretty good villain!
the joker.
i could see him being real. very intelligent, very psychotic.
the way he was portrayed in dark knight was very well done i think.
~W~
greed from full metal alchemist... that man was super and villian like...
THE PUNISHER
i like the punisher because he stands up for what he beleaves in he upholds justice for those that the law refuses to pass order on and restores peace through his vengance awesome story and very creative
I really love the character that Halle Berry played in that X-Men film!!
is the tomb of dracula still published?
drac was a wonderful villain.
besides, he has gone up against a number of superheros.
even batman. that was a good matchup.
~W~
i know theyre neither good or bad but what about ghost rider or the spectre
id forgotten about ghost rider...but he is basically a good guy tho.
~W~
many marvel heroes or villians play both sides of the spectrum. ggod or evil, ghost rider, morphuis, silver surfer. venom

I'm seeing waaay too many single word and line posts with no discussion what-so-ever. Several are from the same member! This thread was not meant to be a lists of random comic villains. Nor do we need a list in the forums.
