can vampires realy read thoughts and can they realy shape shift?

Real Vampires have collective memories which is kind of like being able to see each others thoughts but they can't change shape. They can't read the minds of non-Vampires.

the answer to your question i believe is no. vampires are no more psychic than anyone else. nor do they change to bats or wolves or any other creature.

giselld, while it is possible for someone to have psychic ability that allows them to enter your thoughts and dreams, it's a rare and usually unlikely phenomenon.

to block someone out of your dreams, you must first be truly over them. in this method you are no longer allowing them access.

if your ex is a vampire, he might have enhanced psychic abilities; this is not unheard of. you block him in the same way you would block anyone else; by not granting access.

I think that depends on the book or film which features such creatures.

As here so also in many other recent forum entries you have declared as fact many statements re: vampires for which not a single scrap of supporting evidence is offered. Everything from vampires being double-jointed (?) to having purple eyes (?!) to any of a number of claims including these latest ones re: collective memories, etc.

While theories and ideas are always welcome here, it would help greatly if you would provide some support for same instead of making declarative statements with nothing to back any of them up... especially when the majority, if not all, of them go entirely contrary to all that has been written on the subject by vampirologists.

According to actual vampirology from such scholars as Dr. Jan Perkowski, Dr. Bruce McClelland, and others, vampires historically were described as having blue eyes, a ruddy complexion, and white hair. No mention of double-jointedness has yet been referenced, much less the many other characteristics you have described.

Could you please provide with your statements the evidences you have gleaned in support of same? Thanx.

Well, no more so than other people who can do psychic mind things (sorry, bit hungover here), and no, I do not believe they can shape-shift, but maybe they can project an image of themselves shape-shifting?

yes vampires can read minds.....is hard to do since they need full concentration and the persons mind they are reading must not know that thier mind is being read of they will put a block up....by reading minds alot of vampires are able to feed off of brain waves......only the oldest of vampires can shape shift....down the line it was taken away by the powers above...and yes Stab vampires do have certain powers and it is hard to tell who has what powers or if they have any at all....some think they have powers when they dont....why??......because powers or for the more advanced and older vampires....if a youngling has a power it is because the powers see that they are important for something and gave them a power to protect themselves from harm (mainly hunters or other vampires that wish to kill the youngling)....any further questions on what i have said feel free to message me on here....

it depends on what that vampire as been taught the native americans often spoke of skin walkers and mide readers have been found in places across the world so is it impossable for a vampire to have both traits i'd say say yea but it is rare for vampires to have one of them so having both traits would take a outstading amount of training

as for esp, i think any being with a mind that is developed to the point of conscienceness can at some point become sensitive to thoughts.

However as to the question i think the anwser here is can you read minds??? there are many levels of mental ability, so it would atand to reason that there are those out there who have an honest to goodness ability to read, hear, dream or anyone of the other canneling means to listen in on what someone or thing might be thinking...

That would depend upon the folklore. Vampires can do just about anything if you look for the right information. They can fly, shape-shift, control minds, walk up walls, etc. There is just as much folklore out there that states what a vampire can't do too...and it's all different. :)

Well there used to be a tribe in Kerala,India called the ottans.They were rumored to have done shapeshifting.They were a tribe who lived deep in the forests..They were a group of witch doctors.They used to kill pregnant women and took out their foetus.They used it to make a concoction.It had a very pungent smell and This concoction affects your visibility and of course your mind(if you smell it).The ottans used to come out occasionally to steal from the neighboring houses.They threw this concoction around the house so whenever the residents came out they wouldn't see ottans but animals...

Yes and no. It all depends. Some are able to read thoughts, while others are not. As a Vamp is changed, whatever seemed to be most dominant in them...empath, charisma, strength, and so on...is magnified by a multitude. As for change...I also believe that some can, and some can't. But I feel that may do with age.

Shape shifting I don't believe in except for in astral shape of course, and mind reading is something anyone can do given time, so why not vampires? I know they don't get that power simply by drinking blood though, blood is just the energy used to fuel the magick.

I am actually more fascinated with the idea of a vampire being able to externally affect ones dreams to the point of it having a hold on their emotions even after they awaken from sleep..I have many dreams to this degree that really dont even feel like dreams..they feel like real life..theres more of it discussed in my journal..but besides the point..I think a vampire invading ones dreams is similar to reading the mind but maybe even more dangerous...because most people are more vulnerable while asleep.

Some ppl along wirth vampires can or rsather could read tuaghs, but only those who have with years learn to extend and develop their psychic habilites might succeed, but not many, and it hasd nothing to do with vampires or not.

And I'm sort of surprized to see peopl;e saying that it's easier for vamps to read each other than it is to read the thoughts of Normals. I find that muggles are rather easy to read in many cases because they don't think to block anything. But vamps generally learn quickly, as a matter of survival, to block one another's thoughts and to shield themselves. Sure, when two concenting vampires get into ach others heads it can be like they don't even need spoken words. But I don't know that it's due to one giant vampiric collective unconscious. *ponder*

i dont think that vamps can "shape Shift" but if they do have the special gift to read minds they can to those of their own kind the same way of those that are non-vamps.

As for shape-shifting, it can not be done by one of physical embodiment. On the subject of mind-reading however, it can be done but usually it is more along the lines of sensing a person's thoughts through their slight motions and quirks. I'm rather good at that, even if I don't see the person. I can usually tell how a person is just by chatting with them. But it truly depends on the individual.

yeah, real vampire do have a connection in a psionic sence. i never really get to use it though v_v oh well. i can read other people, but thats just reading body language and i can sense peoples heart rates.

changeing shapes... hahahaha! if someone claims they can and are not talking about their auras, they are either lifestylers or they really need to up the dosage on their meds.

I've never seen, or had a personal account related to me of Shapeshifting. Although I'll take a lot of things on pure faith, the actual changing of ones body to such a DRASTIC extent is something I have a little.. nae.. a lot of trouble wrapping my mind around.

But as far as mind reading.. I would feel comfortable in making the statement: Anyone can do it. Maybe not to a extreme.. as in finishing someones sentences, or knowing their darkest secrets. But I would pose the question.. How many people out there haven't had empathetic moments where they know what people were thinking.. knew when they were lieing.. could sense when something was amiss. For me personally, it happens a lot. In fact, I'm dealing with a similiar situation right now, that is seriously troubling me.

In short... yeah, I think a Vampire.. especially someone who has been through MANY lives, and retained more than their general "essence" through them would be quite capable of linking with others and "reading" their mind.

I think that vampires can do whatever the author of the book or movie they are in wants them to do. If the book you are reading describes them as being able to read minds than they can read minds.
