I wanted to ask for any opinions or experiences of binding life-forces with another... be it through magic or otherwise.

The most commonly accepted view of two people bound is the concept of Soul Mates... another thing I'd like to hear more about

Oddly enough even though I'm not into magic myself...I read a good member article on binding yesterday.

What about your soul recognizing a dear friend or lover from a past life? I've heard of that, though I'm not sure if I've ever experienced it.

Well there is another one, well known one, like binding your own being with another being, with a demon, or a spirit companion, astral plane creature or some such, but sure, it is damn difficult even to summon one such, not to talk bout binding our beings toegheter.


The benefit would be fucking well worth while, since with that process one would gain shit loads new abilitys, and energy manipulations, it depends on with whom you are binding life forces, but as I said, it is damn difficult to accomplish that, to summon, to make contact.

and of course, one most important thing, keeping your own persona as the dominant one, the one wich keeps the mental domination over your own vessel, with out this other new force gaining permanant control over your own vessel, or what ever you hold for yours *he he*

Just checked the article in by alluringaurelia and is called Bindings.

There is a way to bind life forces together, but it is an endevour if you are willing to spend the rest of your life with the individual, unconditional friendship/love basis. If you are believed to be tied with such an individual, than yes, it is possible...I have personally done such, and know how to do such.

I am bound to my husband for life. It's the weirdest feeling. He is always a constant and we have a psychic link with each other. We always call each other at the same time and other weird but connected things.

I have heard of running into a boud lover from a past life. I cannot recall the artical I read, but the couple only hear of each other for a few years before meeting. Once they met they recognised each other right away and hit it off right away.

*nods* I can relate to that... I feel so right with my lover, even having never met her... it's like I know her and we just belong

I have that "right" feeling with my lover and a close friend of mine, even though the friend and I have nothing in common, we're still best friends.

Sometimes, as with Bloodynightmares, there is that soulmate connection automatically, but that is not to say that they may be true soul mates. They may be, thus I will not cast the bad karma their direction.

The way I know is called the Twin Flame summons. It is a way for the two souls to intertwine with the flames of their souls, or energies if you will, like that of a tornato. Yet another post as long as an essay if I continue.

You should write about it in your journal, or make a seperate thread for it. I would be interested in hearing about that.

I have been thinking about writing a couple of articles. As for the threads, I think the threads are more for hints and tips, more than anything. I may write something in my journals about it after a while, but I am more concentrated on philosophies at the moment in there.

I may have to wait till I get the rights to gain access the the article posting...Maybe than I will give it a shot, not sure if it would be article content though, more spell work and summoning than anything. Ancient Egyptian, Sacred Geometries, types of works. Hard to explain.

I personally do not believe their is such a thing as soul mates, i have known people who have thought they had found their soul mates then afer a few years or more they realized that they did not find their soul mate, so i really do not believe in soul mates...

i agree with RavenKnight, I dont necessarily believe in soulmates either. I have heard of people becoming "aura-bound," the combining of auras, (duh me lol) similar to binding of souls.

well I feel that there are soul mates Yet, I do not believe that it is actually "your mate/ spouse" I can just be that one person you totally connect with on many and all levels.
I also believe that some do not ever meet that "soulmate" yet a very kindred soul that connects with you and understand you better than anyone else.

I feel I have finally met my mate whether he be my soul mate or a kindred soul or just that we understand one another without any judgement on either part.
That to me is a life binding force to love, trust,believe in and need them in your life to be complete. everyone has a different view on this and well this is just mine is all.

I think if a person is sould mates that doesn't always mean that they will be boyfriend / girlfriend whatever. also they might not be on good terms always either

There is another way of binding to someone.... The binding to another for the purpose of protection... Guardians do such. I am a guardian, I take things from others, hard concept for many to believe, but it exists. There are a few that I share that tie with, and help heal..... Those are the people that are closest to me.

No you are right it is true.... I mean if one thinks about it, there are people that are soul mates, BUT not meant to be lovers. I personally have not decided if I believe that we all only have one soul mate or if we are able to have many soul mates.... I mean in theory we meet new people each life, hence giving us the opportunity to have another soul mate... BUT I believe what you say is true.... friendships.... I have a friend that we are so bonded that we feel one another, we can actually be miles from one another, and feel what the other feels, or something can happen to one and the other knows to expect it soon to follow for them......

As touched on earlier by alixaryon. One can bind thier spirit with more than just another person. There are several ancient cultures that pratice the binding of spirits between men and animals.
Myself have participated in such a cerimony and am bound to such a spirit.
And Yes, one must make sure to keep thier own personality stronger than the one it is bound to. lol

I dont know about any other binding except soul-mates and i have met mine he is the wonderful person on the great earth

No spell should be used to bind across lifetimes. its a nice thought, but not a good idea.

I dont know sometimes i feel like somethings wrong with a friend of mine who i never met face to face and at the time i'm not talking to them but i feel like something is wrong so i guess that could be like binding

It is best not used, whether or not you know the process. While you may be glad you are bound to the person, love is a very fickle mistress and can elude you at the last possible second.

You can either live with the bond, which eats away at you slowly, or rip a huge chunk out of yourself in the process of severing that tie, which is especially harmful if it lasted for a long time.

I've heard of binding yourself to another person (though I'm not anxious to try it myself). It would seem to me, that it would be a very tempting and yet extremely dangerous thing to try. I don't see how making someone be stuck with you forever would be positive. What if you ended up hating each other and couldn't break the binding? That would suck.

I believe that you can find someone who's soul or spirit knows the one inside yours from a past life wich makes you connect with that person in special ways

I do believe soulmates exist, not necessarily in a romantic sense though. I think your soul mate can be someone of the same sex as you, who you are very close friends with.

Having said that, I have experienced the other type of soulmate. The first time I met my current partner Gav, I felt a connection with him, like i'd met him before. It took us a year to finally get together but ever since we have, i've stopped feeling like I was missing out on something. I can honestly say I feel complete now i'm with him, and I think our souls are bound in the fullest sense that can't be broken by mortal ways.

It would be nice if people add the source of their c/p. Twin flame - is it real or memorex. The twin flame is not a soul mate. Two different creatures.

People bind their life force to many things. Some call them cords. Witches have their familiars and many take to marriage. But coveting personal material also falls in this category. The physical pleasures will zap your life force too.

well after me and my hubby got married i had my sister (a Wiccan Priestess) bind us together and we have lasted longer than HER marriage

If you are "soul mates" are you not bound already? The idea of this, binding life-forces, seem dangerous to me. That energy is yours. Messing with it--molding it into something else--I see risks of damage if you are not certain of what you are doing.

We are not perfect beings, and our judgments can be off. If a ritual was done for this purpose, is there another one to put your energies back together if the union doesn't work?

Once upon a time, I participated in a blood binding "ceremony" with my partner at the time. As you may have guessed, the lover-type-relationship failed to withstand the tests life through at us. However, we now have a better friendship with benifits even. We know each other a bit better than most and have become better listeners/advisors for our own transgrettions. Were/Are we soul mates? Maybe just in the friend wise situation as already suggested in this thread.

I look at "blood bonding" as the same as binding life-forces...I will probably not try it again in the near future for the partnership I have now is wonderful as it is and I feel there is no need for....more.

I think that if the feelings are there..there would be no need for such an enhancement. It may benefit a weaker relationship but if it is true..there is no need.

I do not know that much about bindings, but I am getting interested in them now.

Bound life forces usually caon only be done if your boren with the ability to do so.
You can't just learn it..unless someone
who was boren with the gift can bound you
to bind with another.Most of the time
people don't know that they have the gift..

It's a gift..but if your not carefull..it
can be a curse as well.Sometimes binding

Now for lifemates.It's said that only a look
or a touch from your true lifemate can bind you.Sometimes that ones soul has been broken into a deep sadness or darkness..and so the binding has to be done greatly..and carefully
done by some kind of lifemate courtship.

I have always thought that twin flames are so alike unto each other that they know each other the instant they meet. I think I've bumped into mine and it's like looking into the mirror at a male version of myself.

Yet, we were so alike that we repulsed each other... lol Maybe if we had met at a different juncture.

I also feel bound to my Lover We connect on so many levels and seem to always know many times what the other is thinking its an amazing feeling

I personally do not see a reason for binding life-forces, i mean if you love someone then you love them you do not need any kind of binding to show that, hopefully i understood the question right...
