i believe in reincarnation and fully believe karma plays a role in how you come back
I believe in it too. I've uncovered a few past lives I have lived. Not extremely detailed at the moment but slowly uncovering them.
Could you explain the process of 'uncovering past lives'? I'm curious about how it's done. I've always been curious but I've never found any article that can give a conclusive answer.
I have discovered many past lives and yes they are possible. I have always been someone pure of heart like I am now.
Since matter gets recycled, i always saw it as the person who is the 'reincarnation' of someone has the same cells that had been in that persons body
I believe reincarnation does indeed happen. I believe if you're 'bad' in this life, you will be punished in the next. If you kill someone in this life, you will feel the consequences in the next life, possibly by losing the person you love the most in a tragic way. If you do amazing things in this life, you'll be rewarded in the next.
Sometimes, certain people see something and feel attached to it for no reason. My life is deeply rooted in music. Maybe that has something to do with who I was before.
I believe it happens. What I don't believe is some of the people who claim to know what their past lives were. As a lady here put it, everyone is always claiming to be something interesting like a healer, a prince, or someone important. How come no one ever says they were a stable worker, a bar maid, or a servant?
I get what you're saying with that. I hate how people say "I was this, I was that, I was the other thing" and it's always good.
I do believe in it, and like I said, I think your past life does indeed reflect into this one. But, I don't think that if one would 'remember' it. I think that if during life A you were a bad person, in life B you'll be punished. If you fixed yourself in life B, you'll be rewarded again in life C, etc. But, I doubt you could remember that you were prince such and such.
I think people always say they were a prince or something special because, lets face it, who wants to admit they were something not important? If it happens, it happens, I doubt you would remember much of it if any at all. If by chance someone is lucky enough to remember it I doubt they would admit they were something like a murderer.
Also, If you don't remember, How would you be able to fix your present life if in your past life you were a bad person? would you know you were supposed to fix it? Maybe you only know that something isn't right in your life, how would you know it is connected to a past life? I think there are many many questions that could be asked, But I don't think there will ever be a concrete answer for most of them.
Probably not.. But still, even if you wouldn't want to admit you were an ax murderer, why say you were a prince... It's better not to say than to lie.
Well, because I work for a Hospital, My believe is: When someone die, someone is born. Is a trading game created by....You fill the blank.
It makes sense, but at the same time I have trouble justifying it.
I believe in reincarnation as well. What helps me "uncover my past lives" so to speak is the ancient art of meditation. Clearing your mind and thinking of thoughts on the past certain traits and personalities that make you you and that is how you can find out who you have been before. It takes awhile to practice this. And I have helped a few certain people and friends of mine that wanted to find out who they were.
ive had a few that i can remember but not in full detail, just a barely a glimpses of past lives, 3 only sofar have been reveled to me. but other than that i do believe in Reincarnation: has alot to do with karma.
Reincarnation is something that varies by culture. Most think of it as in a linear line of the same sex. Most often that isn't the case in belief of those who have it in their religious beliefs and they vary. Some believe you may come back in human form and others that or animal. Some believe if you are an animal, through many lifetimes you might become human in form which to me "might" account for the Otherkin belief system. I have even heard a rock can become sentient in the right circumstances. I don't say I believe that but have heard the belief. Some believe in the soul reinhabiting a body and others it is more of a stream of consciousness that passes on.
Karma is something else and I don't believe as I understand it that it would necessarily follow that it would be the very next life necessarily. The belief is you choose your parents and you choose how you will fulfil karmic debt upon incarnation. It could be inacted in many ways not necessarily that the person would be shot but would have some way of learning the consequences of those actions.
Those that I was around believed we lived many lives in time entering at different points and we create more souls ourselves. We have sort of an oversoul. When they have accumulated to a certain point we start having deja vu experiences and what some call psychic experiences. I am not saying I fully believe this but have been involved in channelings where it was explained somewhat like this. I just take everything in and really it is what it is, so I just consider it information and nothing more.
Some people remember things via dreams, many times not realizing it is a life they have lived or are living in another time past, present or future. Some remember in meditation on their own or guided meditations. Some go through regressions. All of this stuff is iffy and not believed by the majority of people I don't think. It wasn't until close to the 20th century that the idea of reincarnation became popular in western culture. They attribute that most to the New Age community. I hate that tag but it stuck to the people who look beyond the norm and incorporate other belief systems, many Eastern.
I believe in reincarnation, into humans, plants, animals. all these I believe and that we used to live in past life. reincarnation is like we had a task and didnt manage to finish it so we are given chance to finish it, or to redeem ourselves. soon i will be in another world in 2 or 3 months time, but If i am to reborn again sure must be or i missed doing something really important or to redeem myself about something.
Reincarnation, no.
Karma, no.
You're born, you die. The rest is just smoke and mirrors to mystify non-believers to get them to believe this crap.
I definitely do believe in it and been able to recover some memories. Not entirely pleasant memories though.
Nostics believe that we plan our lives before we're born to advance our souls. I'm not nostic but I found this particularly interesting.
I believe in reincarnation. If you don't learn what you were supposed to in your life, you can choose to try again, I believe. I must be a slow learner because I think I've had several! I don't remember them, it just seems that I draw on certain aspects at different times of my life. For instance, in my tween and early teen years, I was fascinated with and drawn to everything Japanese. I think we can draw upon lessons learned in past lives to try to get it right the next time.
Reincarnation... Eh yeah. I see it as you die, you have your memories, your life, your personality stripped from you before you are up and recycled into a completely different person. However an exception would be immortal beings and/or magic users who can retain their memories, lives, and personalities.
Short sweet and simple eh? But still, momento mori.
Nope. I believe in free will. As an agnostic, I don't put much stock into concepts like redemption or fate. What supernatural force is supposed to decide these things?
I understand agnosticism. I happen to be an agnostic witch. I do believe there is some form of divinity, but I know I cant prove its existence.
But according to the theory of reincarnation (or mine at least), a divine force doesn't chose our incarnation, our Higher Self does. Our Higher Self choses a lesson we need to learn in order to further ourselves up the ladder of spirituality. And thus, our soul is put into another body and we are (hopefully) going to learn that lesson.
I don't believe in it. Like many things until I see proof I don't.
It is idle fancy. The Gita says that we are born from world to world. It does not state that we are born into the same world exactly. A baby is born into this world, according to it's perception; however it is obvious to anyone who thinks, that it existed in this world before it was pushed out. The same is true of it's soul; and the same is true of our deaths. We do not truly leave the world, we progress to an expanded lifestate.
Im a total believer, I have this theory that if i get buried I return to the earth and get eaten by worms and eventually reincarnate. It may be gross but its the circle of life.
My opinion of reincarnation for the being to try to be a whole new person. It allows you to try to make better decisions. It will also allow you to write on your old life and edit it to your new opportunities or having new doors to take. In other words what reincarnation is in my mind is it is a way to take the chances that you didn't take before. This is what my opinion of reincarnation means to me.
Would you want to take an other shot at life?
Past lives are like any subject, you must seek the knowledge to gain the knowledge of what once was. I have found out many thing I liked, but I have discovered many things that I didn't. As each layer is peeled away you find out that life is a tool to gain the knowledge to help you succeed in your endeavors.
I use to view it as a way to get punished, now I view it only as another try out for the game of life
I do believe both in reincarnation and karma. If you're a good person in this life, then in the next world, you'll be rewarded. If not, then punished.
As far as the past lives things goes, some of us will admit to being someone's maid in a past life. :)
I view life as a journey for the spirit. a quest for wisdom. once the spirit is wise enough, it will return to nature. untill that time it will continue to dwell in mortal bodies
I believe in karma, but also believe that we pay our karmic debts here, for each life before we die.
I simply think when somenoe dies it comes back as a re gift of somehtign that s precious as a newborn i truly believe it is real!
i believe in past lives. i think everyone of us had at least one. but only when we are supposed to remember them do we uncover our hidden truth. or inner self. those past lives is what makes a bit of us who we are, they even effect us without our full knowledge. like karma and some of the skills we have now. even our mind set and behavior. i remember a lot of my past but i do agree that most take their past lives out of context. but i know most of the time i wasnt much of anything. but each step we take we may have very well have taken before. sme paths we walk now are new and will help mold what we will be in the future but for now we have to wait till our past lives are triggered.
I believe in it sometimes. Things like how it's taboo to name some after another if they are alive because it'll wish bad health on the person who's living.
But I must say, some animals seem to come back to me. But then again maybe it's just the breed.
I don't hold any stock in it at all. When the light bulb breaks, you can't expect it to meld into a new one.
Merry Meet
I am a ferm believer in rencarnation, and karma. I have a goddess and believe that she gives us free-will. when we die we get 2 choices, live in her relm or be re-born. I'm only 13 yaers old as of now but am a hybrid. through meditation I've cought glimes' of what could be past lives or maybe a look into the futor. From what I have managed to glims it appears to me that I was once a rouge worrier from where/when is unknow but killed in my late teens early twenties I believe. Many things remain unclear about truth in any religion and I allow others to critisize my veiw but in truth for those of us who have be chosen to relive our past live through glimses' can fermily say it is there and you can believe it with all our hearts. As for other non-belivers I wish them well. I only say that if you wish to look into this whole past life stuff, be careful what you wish for and message me for help on reaching past lives.
Merry Part My Brothers & Sisters
Reincarnation is a part of life in us all we either Choose to except it or we don't . Life is a cycle were born try to learn everything we can , love, hate , cry , then we grow old and die and return to "heaven' the summer lands " what ever you wish to call it. we are met by a loving but Familiar person who ask us questions about what we learned If we have not learned everything we are then returned to be born again to relive life and to try to learn the lesson we need to know. This keeps happening till its learned then when we die are can either stay with the God and Goddess or We may come back as a animal , plant or a guardian of someone. this is a special gift that takes a long time to acquire.
Only if I had the choice as to whom to return as, otherwise forget it.
I do believe, though not many people come back as another being. Karma depicts who comes back as what and whom. I've lived only two past solid lives as another being, but other than that, I have not come back at all. ♥
I believe there is a great deal of levity to karma and reincarnation, however I do not agree that the advancement of consciousness would be so redundant as to believe that if one does good things in this life, they are rewarded in the next and if bad then punished.
As all things subsist, both good, evil and everything in-between...it is the overlap that causes bad things to happen to good people...it's how you roll with the punches in this life that determines if whether or not you learn anything from personal trials and tribulations. Some learn while others simply do not.
absolutely believe in reincarnation...there are alot of case studies that have convinced me.
karma tho....i dont believe in it and have seen zero evidence of its existance.
i think that someone living in a mud cave and eating dirt watched a really rich person ride by one day and invented karma to make himself feel better.
"yeah buddy, next life around youll be a freakin hamster...so take that...yeah"
~W~
I am in contradiction on this issue. My religion tells me that when the physical body perishes and the Astral moves onto another plane of existence. I myself have had dreams and unreal sensations that I have been in a place before, not remembering anything else. I know this to be a true experience, but it blurs between beliefs and what I hold and know to be true.
I don't currently believe in it but I find that my personal beliefs often evolve. I think it's interesting especially in the cultures where it isn't always viewed as the best thing. To some, earth is viewed as the place of trials and the true goal is to ascend to heaven but you must pass through life after life until you... What, fix all ills within your being?
Reincarnation or collective unconsciousness?
A question, that is also some what personal, as once I did believe in reincarnation, this was the time I found importance in white light movements and fluffy new age ideas. Meanwhile we have gone on in life and especially years have passed, time that I used to read and study. One of the people that is of great importance to me in this period, is Carl Gustav Jung.
His work is enormous, especially where he writes, about the (psychoid) Archetypes, our Shadow, the collective unconsciousness and lot's more. It did make me reconsider my point of view on matters, that I accepted earlier on, like reincarnation.
I was always drawn to ancient Egypt and mostly the time of the Pharao's Amenhotep III, Amenhotep IV (Akhenaten), Tut-Ankh-Amun and Ai. This was so strong, that at that time, it was clear for me, I had lived in that period and was reincarnated. Always sounds good, maybe some good stuff for a movie, but that's all.
With studying Jung, and his writings, it became clear for me, that most likely I just glanced in the collective unconsciousness, where all the memories of mankind are collected and which also can be named as the Akasha chronicles.
In any case, it changed my insights, and was the start of a further quest to personal truth. Reincarnation maybe is interesting for those who are afraid of death, it is to many times used to hold the masses in line. In the west, we rather quickly talk about it, but in the east its a terrible something, it controls the lives of many millions of people, who can't escape the effect of it, and are just used by fraudulent people, who tell them, that they will have to suffer for many lives to come, before they will be enlightened.
Reason enough to take some distance from all this, and take a more clear view. OK, I admit that what Jung brings forward, is also just a theory, but much more acceptable then what eastern religions want to make us believe.
For me its easy, dead is dead, no going to any fluffy paradise, or be reborn, we get one change to it, so make the best for it. Our soul (inner self) will not go to any afterlife. This idea is just used by, especially the monotheistic faiths, to keep men under their control. Be good, live according to their dictates and you will go, after death to paradise, your life will be one misery, but at least, you have the promise of eternal sitting on a cloud. Pity, that the words they speak, don't seem to have any meaning for these religious guys, as usually their own life isn't so nice. Something we can conclude out of the many scandals, in for example the Roman Catholic Church.
Well thanks, if that is our choice, then rather not. I prefer to enjoy my life here, according to my own believes and insights, and we will see what comes. Even if I don't believe (any more) in an afterlife, I know my memories and as such, maybe a part of who I am will remain in the collective unconsciousness, which you can also see as a kind of continuing. At least, for as long as you are remembered, once you are lost in the memories of men, the energy will fade away.
Maybe this explains, why people who remember previous lives, always claim to have been kings, princes, pharao's, popes, bishops and so on. As these persons are mostly remembered, their energy in the collective doesn't fade, but even gets stronger and is easier to reach.
In any case, we should consider twice before accepting any teachings by men, and aim toward the (Black) Light in our lives. I have found it in Sutekh. May in whatever form, it comes to you, guide you on your personal path to truth & wisdom. And above all, enjoy your life to the fullest, don't trust on the (hollow) stories of what comes after death, but follow your own feelings.
Opinions vary amongst pagans. Some believe in reincarnation, others believe it depends on karma, although some believe you go to a place called Summerland, the Elysium Fields, or a Celestial place where you review the events in your life.
Reincarnation is were your soul enters in to a new life after you die.
But how long after? I would think until you can pass on, or if you do not become a Spawn or a Watcher, also its on how you lived you're life how well you lived the hand you were dealt. Some time in the next life you come out on time, sometime in the next life you get shit.
It is an endless cycle in which we are born into and not something we can step out of easily. According to Hindu teachings, everything go through the same cycle of life, death and rebirth. Only those who have found unity with 'God' are free from the chains of Karma and the cycle of Samsara.
I also believe in reincarnation. Ive had many many past lives some i remember some i dont but they are coming back...just very very slowly unfortunally. i did not have a pretty past lives. mine were full of pain, fear, hiding...surviving.
I believe everything and being has a purpose in life , as for Reincarnation yes I do believe in it . why would you want to think that you die are buried then that's it ? there is more to life as far as I,m concerned I feel if you do well in your life and Try to help and be good to others you will come back as a higher being.
Reincarnation, I believe that when the soul of a person who has passed leaves something unfinished or died with an unresolved issue, can be reborn in a new form. And maybe even someone who died before they were intended to can be born again. It's not known as a solid fact, but the possiblility is definitly there. So it's just best to keep an open mind.
Reincarnation, maybe. I'm really not sure. I hope when we die, we don't just melt into nothingness, but who knows?
Karma, no. Cause and effect? Yes. If you're a bitch to someone, and in a week, you get hit my a car, I don't believe they're connected.
I believe its all in how you live your life. If the good things you do outnumber the bad you could comeback to live better off & if your bad outnumbers the good you could come back as a worm. In other words its Karma, all in how you live your life.
Once created, nothing can be truly destroyed. The body returns to the Earth and the spirit returns to the source of all things whether it be God or the universe itself. Nobody truly knows quite yet.
The law of conservation of energy is a law of physics. It states that the total amount of energy in a system remains constant over time. A consequence of this law is that energy can neither be created nor destroyed: it can only be transformed from one state to another.-Source
I do believe in reincarnation. I have remembered parts of my past lives. Some of them good..some of them not so good. And others just plain freaky as hell.
See, that's what gets me. People that tell me "Oh, well I was in the American Revolutionary War!" confuse the hell out of me. It's like.. no, you're not. But sometimes I know things that I shouldn't for one reason or another. Like, where something is, or how to do a specific thing. Like, I'm really good under the hood of a car. Was I a mechanic in my past life? Or I have a knack for jazz trumpet. Was I a black jazz musician in my past life?
Being reincarnated does exist. I can't remember where I heard it but I have heard the phrase Everything is possible until proven impossible.
I do and don't see how people can remember specifics on past lives. I do see because I remember bits and pieces of a past life. I don't see because it is hard to remember full length things in past lives.
I think research and eventual testing could help further the proof that past lives do exist and some can remember them.
When you reincarnate, your spirit goes back to the source, but it does not come back intact. Think of your spirit as a drop of water. Once that drop rejoins the ocean, you can never get the same drop back. So when a new spirit is formed, it contains countless parts from countless other lives. You were never a single person in a past life. You were many upon many.
Humanity believes or hopes there is more than our life now. They hope as death calls that there is more than blackness. We all hope reincarnation is real so we can be once more. I hope life just does not end.
Can reincarnation be like The recycling system of Humans and Animals. Mean, We get old, we can do that much, and then, we depart and star again. WOW. What If I am correct. LOL Now, for those who die early, the same system apply.
If reincarnation was as simple as one on one, mankind would have figured it out years ago.
The Soul is multi dimensional and thus has many hosts.
With people that you feel you know always coming into play. I firmly believe that this is true. That people are reincarnated. Take for example how you feel you know someone even though you may never have met them. They still seem familiar to you. Take again for example certain phobias. They may be there because of how you passed away in a previous life possibly but it would explain why you fear it so much.
If possible I would prefer going to a spiritual place where i can relax. Who knows what the world would be like if I was reincarnated?
