We have spoke about Manifestation. About how our minds may be able to create reality. About how if we think about something too much, there is a bigger chance it could actually happen, or something in that realm.
Now I want to bring up the other side of Manifestation.
Say you're walking on a Snowy day. The Snow is about 4 feet and the roads are a sheet of ice. So you're walking and walking..crossing streets. Not a problem.
Then you come by a red light and you see a car coming from three blocks down...the road is a sheet of ice. So you think okay...if you had no problem crossing the other streets, and that car is really far away...you can make it across without a problem.
So you go without a second thought and you slip. You bust your butt and you wake up seconds later with that car skidding right at you.
Is it possible that if you think something won't happen at all, that it might happen more? Do you think that if you don't give much thought to something, there is a bigger chance of it actually happening?
This is the other side of Manifestation. Instead of you thinking too much on something and it happening, can something happen if you think too little on it?
Anything can happen whether it be unlikely as you said by not thinking about it enough or something that happens day to day that you most likely think a lot about. But either way it is through no fault of your own so the way I see it its just fate. Things happen whether you think it will or not.
No, I don't think that failing to think about something makes it more likely to happen, unless it directly involves you. Like in the example given, if I knew a car was coming towards me on a street and I made the decision to cross anyway, knowing I had made it across other streets, I might not be paying as much attention to my footing.
I might also be moving faster than I had previously because of the present danger, I might not realize that this road could be more slippery than the other ones, or that the car might be having problems controlling it's speed.
All of these things could be contributing factors to my fall and subsequent accident. If not thinking about these things caused the accident, it was simply because of a lack of proper risk assessment on my part, not the universe being vindictive.
If I had thought about it, I would have just let the car go by. Considering that I was stomping my way through four feet of snow, couple of extra seconds spent waiting to cross the street wouldn't make much of a difference in my journey.
Only in situations in which your actions might effect the outcome, could not thinking about it cause it to be more likely to come about.
Not thinking about global warming makes you less likely to be 'environmentally friendly', and therefore more likely to contribute to it. Not thinking about your child's welfare makes you more neglectful of their safety, and bad things are more likely to happen to them.
But random events, like earthquakes and celebrity marriages are not going to happen just because you haven't been devoting your full attention to them. Sometimes things just happen.
That whole getting hit by a car sounds like cockyness to me :P
But anyway I don't think that not thinking about something will make it more likely to happen, but just asuming it won't happen will make you cocky.
If you spend time thinking about a situation, it most certainly become true. I believe we have the personal power to "manifest" things that we "foresee". I don't like to think of negative things, but I am really superstitious also. My advice is to think wisely when a predicament can have different outcomes. Positive thinking does have its perks!
But thinking 'the car won't hit me' might be a little too much positiveness. especially if it is swerving out of control.
Damn, I knew there was a reason why I wasn't getting rich and famous!
*Goes to stop thinking so much about being rich and famous* *rolls eyes*
Ok, I really don't see how you can manifest something by not thinking about it, sorry. This would be the opposite of the Laws of Attraction, from that perspective.
Hey, I wasn't thinking about bills, but yet, what do you know, they just keep coming in the dang mail. Let's be real about situations like this please.
what Sonneilien (sorry if i spelled that wrong) kinda goes along with my point about cockyness.
I don't really believe in manifestation at all. like S. said the bills still come, and I am still dirt poor, whether I am thinking about be rich or not.
I would think so. Simply because not thinking about an event makes you ignorant to the alternate cnsequences of your actions. So you can't avoid the outcome.
See I disagree with that, you are thinking about it, even if you're only thinking that whatever it is is really bad.
Take getting rich for example. Most people want to get rich because they don't want to be poor. When you think about being poor, you think of all the negatives associated with it. So while you're sitting there thinking "I want to be rich" what your subconcious is really doing is sneakily going "What I really want is not to be poor". Therefore, what you are thinking about, is being poor. And so you are.
It's a vicious circle. It is exceedingly difficult to only think of the positive side of a given situation instead of thinking on the negative.
To your questions, i hope.......
Yes Is it possible that if you think something won't happen at all, that it might happen more.
Even a small chance of it it seems some times for it to happen.
Every thought, big or small i think goes some where. some times, no matter big or small, there that chance of it comeing true, and no matter if its good or bad.
Some times, it is not whether or not one thinks about it or not. if it is ment to happen, it will happen. thinking about it, some times makes it happen faster? very possiable.
if its gonna happen ... its gonna happen ...
whether you think about it OR NOT
:)
I think things happen just because they happen, but when i think about something a lot it seems like it never happens and when a thought just crosses my mind for a couple minutes and i forget about it, it usually happens, so i think it is possible for something to happen when you really do not think about it much...
I think it's definitely possible that things can happen for you if you don't think about them at all or enough. It would be sort of like a reminder I guess. Evidence that there is something out there that is trying to guide you maybe.
lets see.. that car coming at me would probley scare the wing wangs out of me.. positive thinking can come true if you think about it hard enough cause its happen to me cause i said it over and over im going to fall and i do ..
Well in this case under-thinking it, it's more likely to happen...& when your in the front of a car like that, you don't think of anything, it's not registered & it's just disbelief & shock
I agree with you Sonne..I think it goes against the whole beleif that what we think attracts like things...whether it be good or bad...putting the thought out of your mind isnt going to make the car somehow not hit you.
here ya go master v www.awakening-spirits.net/7-step-manifestations.htmthis link may help you or any one else.. i hope it will ...!
That's a great view point and I think Drakontion hit the nail on the head with this one. By assessing the distance between yourself and the car, you're automatically thinking about the possibility of falling on your duff.
Kind of like saying "Don't think about pink elephants".
Yes , lol I do believe that. I was working at a gas station once. A friend of mine and I were talking about all the things that I had seen while working there. He brought up the subject of a person driving off with the nozzle still in their car. I looked at him and said that , that was one thing that I hadn't seen yet :) I turned around and all I could say was Shit!! , I was over the counter and out the door. A lady drove off with it still in her gas tank. :) I had just told him before that, that I would probably never see that. :) I was wrong.
If you don't think on it you may not be prepared for how to react. Therefore I don't know if it creates it to happen so much as something might have a negative effect because you never thought of what you'd do if you ever fell and there was a car coming at you.
I think both sides of manifestation works. I believe if you don't think on something enough or you doubt it will happen, it more then likely will.
I don't think there is any difference really. Over thinking or under thinking something just doesn't work.
i guess it would fall on whether or not you believe in the laws of attraction or not.
Sometimes you can think things into happening. OR more likely, believing they will happen. I don't think you can over think or under think anything.
thinking of a specific thing to not happen is like this
dont think of a glass with purple water in it, and dont think of it tipping over and spilling on your white carpet.
it's better to think about nothing happening, than to think of something not happening.
This is quite interesting I must say. I do think if we think less about a certain situation, like we under-estimate the odds, something will happen. Just goes to show you that anything can happen.
this is a very interesting concept, the thing is either you think too much or you think little on one particile thing.
Oh yeah. Most definitly. Kinda like when you're feeling nausiated, and you keep thinking to yourself "I'm not going to barf. I'm not going to barf" and then you barf all over the place. You're thinking about it, so the more you think about it the more you concentrate on it. Same concept with having to go to the bathroom. If you have to go really badly and you keep thinking about it, you're damn near going to piss your pants, but if you just think of something else it won't be as bad.
Nice examples:) Yes manifestation works, cant help but believe that. Anything you think about too much usually comes to pass. Just from the fact your obbsessing on it so much. If something can go wrong it will. I suddenly have to go to the restroom. excuse me.
Fuck manifestation.
It is the coming of things.
The developing and evolvment.
My emotions manifested when I lost my kitten Posie.
I believe that with the situation you gave, the end result wouldn't have been due to not thinking about what could happen, but rather the opposite.
Regardless of the conscious thought that you had no problems crossing the previous streets, and the car was plenty far away, by simply consciously thinking about it, you are admitting to yourself that there is a challenge presented. This alone can sow the seed for failure.
So, I really don't think that not thinking about something is likely to cause manifestation. But, I think that things that we consciously dismiss can just as easily, if not more so, allow our subconscious (Or more accurately following Freud's 3-tier model of consciousness, this would occur in the pre-conscious rather than the sub-conscious.) to cause such manifestations.
Sometimes thinking too much causes the "bad" to happen. Since your worrying so much creates neg. energy.
well if you think to little on something or too much things are bound to happen
I meant not paying enough attention so it could be possible to happen more :)
That is a good question. But no I don't think it works that way.
I don’t believe that how much we think about something effects an event at all. If something is going to happen it will happen whether we think about it or not. If we have time to consciously think about an event as it is happening we may be able to effect the outcome with our actions but not our thoughts.
Regardless how you think, next time you might want to play it cautious. Manifestation may or may not impact things positively or negatively. I know that which ever one you are more focused on, the more you will linger on the affirmative responses. It does not mean that it happens at a greater percentage, merely you remember the outcome you want more than the out come you don't.
If that was the case My kids would be in the hospital. When I think of them, I don't think of them being in the hospital all the time, I think of them and how much I love them and love seeing them grow. I hardly EVER think of them being in the hospital. Sure, I make the precautions necessary to keep them away from it, but if it was like you said, then they'd be in the hospital because I didn't think enough on it.
Somehow I can't see that as a posibility, in my opinion. You are more likely to attract things by paying them heed than you are by not doing so, at least where entities are concerned, and I believe it is the same here.
Worrying constantly about being hit by a car would seem to be inviting it, whether by setting it up in your subconscious, or otherwise. If I recall, the refraine was "Be careful of the things you fear most, less they be visited upon you", and it seems it would hold here as well. That's my two cents worth.
