I set up a new system here.

There are numerous options, including new message notification, member tracking, security settings, and more.

I was only able to test the system with Sprint (my cell carrier) and it all works fine. If you have one of the other carriers and can't get it working, let me know.

Updates completed today:

Upiori encryption was added to Journals. Premium members can write private or public encrypted entries. See the updated Upiori page for more details.

Poll code was updated to remove excessive backslashes.

Updated Portfolio upload code. If you upload a picture larger than 500x500 pixels, but less than 1mb in size, the picture will be auto resized for you. Animated gifs are now also accepted and resized as well. However, portfolio thumbnails are not animated.

Fixed an error where if you viewed some Game leader boards you were automatically logged out.

Avatars are now separate from profile pictures. You manage your avatar here. Your primary profile pictures is no longer auto-converted into your avatar. If you're a new user without an avatar, but *have* uploaded a profile picture, an avatar *is* automatically generated for you.

Re-worked how Vampire Rave stores your birth date. All members need to update their birth date. You also have an option to hide your birth date / age.

Added birthday notifications. If a member is on YOUR friends list and they HAVE NOT hidden their birth date, you'll receive a message when it is their birthday, so you can wish them happy birthday.

Profile page was changed slightly to include birth date and age fields.

Just wanted to say a special thank you for the birthday notifications thingy. I've had the best day today due to that, and to think I was shy about showing my age at first LOL

I'd recommend everyone doing that just for the feel-good factor.

You can set your birth month/day without setting your age (birth year). Just put in a different birth year. Show yourself as 18. Or 111 (you can only set your birth year as far back as 1900).

Cool! I had thought about setting the year of birth at 1900 but, I decided I was cool with showing my real age. It has actually made no difference to how either I feel, or how folk have treated me.

I guess though, some folk will appreciate that they don't have to say exactly how old they are. Thanks again, all these new things are brilliant. :D

I'll be working on several updates over the next week. Some of these updates are minor in nature, but I'll be listing them all here.

Today I completed the following:

Fixed up the Portfolio slide show page. Some descriptions had extra slashes, which have been removed.

Modernized the sign up page a bit. If you enter a username already in use, you're notified right away, before you hit submit. Additional validation checks added for password and email fields.

If you incorrectly spell a username on the create message page, you'll now get an error message before you try to send the message.

Added animated GIF functionality for user pictures and user avatars. This was a pretty major update, as it affected every Vampire Rave page that utilizes avatars. I may have missed some pages. If anyone finds a page where animated avatars are not showing up, let me know.

I increased the number of images you can upload to a Member Page to 5.

I added an additional popup warning screen when a member tries to do a name change.

Created the position, Hand of the Prince.

Added a reply link to the Sent box. You no longer have to transfer sent messages to the saved box in order to reply.
