So when chatting with female friends, eventually the discussion of the challenge of a female moving into a guy's place will come up.
One concern a female may have is that during an argument, the guy could tell her to 'get out' of his place.
Another concern is the challenge of making his home feel like her home too.
Another concern is the amount of personal stuff she may have a sentimental attachment to which may clash with his interior design or there may not be enough room for it all.
Another concern she may have is an Ex just showing up or having made a copy of the house key without him knowing or just the fact that another female once lived there before her.
I was told a few times it's not that easy of a transition to move into a place that wasn't purchased together, especially when she may have just as much stuff as he does.
My answer is always the same....If she's the right one, they will make it work.
It was a time when a man who owned his own home would meet a woman still living with her parents and it was just normal to move her into his home once they were married. These days many women are living in a place all their own.
However, if any females need help with this issue, here are a few pointers.....
The Dos And Don’ts Of Moving Into His Place

If you move into your partner’s place (as opposed to moving into a brand new place together) that sets you up for an interesting dynamic: what was once his bachelor pad is now his love nest. You don’t want to impose too much on his pre-established lifestyle, but you deserve to feel at home there too. So here are some of the dos and don’ts of moving into his place.
DO start calling it “Our place”
Get out of the habit of calling it, “My boyfriend’s place” or “His place.” Your boyfriend asked you to move in because he wants you two to share a place. If you call it “his place,” that will make him sad.
DON’T offer it up for social gatherings right away
This home is both of yours now, but that doesn’t mean you can keep as social of a home as you used to. If your partner is a bit more private than you are, you need to consult him before hosting game night or margarita Monday there. He wants you to feel at home there—not all of your friends, too.
DO add your own flair to the living spaces
You deserve to live in a place that makes you happy. You might feel at first that you can only decorate the bedroom, but add your flair to the kitchen and other living spaces. He’ll probably like what you do.
DON’T mess with staple pieces
He probably has some staple items that make the place feel like home to him—maybe a certain couch or lazy boy chair. Work with these items. Toss an accent pillow on the lazy boy but don’t get rid of it.
DO request the changes that you need
Do you wish he’d keep the garbage can under the window, to air it out, instead of in a corner where it stinks up the place? Say so! You deserve to live in a place that feels clean to you.
DON’T spring these changes on him
Back-track for a second: bring up the changes you need before moving in. Don’t just remain silent, and then the second you move in, list off a dozen things that will change now. Your boyfriend will feel like he was tricked.
DO introduce yourself to the neighbors
They’re your neighbors now, too! You might need to make friends with one so she can walk your dog sometimes, or lend you flour.
DON’T host a block party
At least not without talking to your boyfriend. Remember, he’s lived here for a while so he already has established relationships with these neighbors. You don’t want to accidentally invite over one neighbor who he’s had a tiff with. Get the scoop on your neighbors from your boyfriend before making plans with them.
DO claim closet space
Don’t be shy about having way more clothes than your man has. You don’t need to hide sweaters under the bed. Claim the closet space you need.
DON’T move things without asking
If you need to put his photo albums or videos in storage, don’t just let him find that where there once was X-Box there now are shoe boxes. Consult him on what makes the most sense for storage. It’s his place—he knows.
DO grocery shop!
He’ll probably appreciate having a nicely stocked refrigerator. And you should be able to come home to your favorite snacks.
DON’T leave out his favorite foods
If you noticed before moving in that he always had a 6-pack of Budweiser in his fridge, or he always had at least two bags of Goldfish in the pantry, be thoughtful and grab these when you grocery shop. This will show him that you care about keeping the foods that still make him feel at home.
DO put your products in the bathroom
You’ll inevitably have more products than your boyfriend between razors and shaving gel and hair conditioner and hair color. It might feel weird at first, but feel free to put these on the otherwise empty shelves of his bathroom. You need easy access to these, after all.
DON’T try to consolidate items
Don’t throw out his conditioner because he can “Just use yours!” He likes his products. He’s used to seeing that Old Spice body wash in his bathtub. It might be more efficient to share a body wash, but you want his bathroom to still partially resemble his bathroom.
DO online shop/order stuff
This is your home now, too! Where else are you supposed to have your lingerie shipped?
DON’T get on mailing lists
Your guy has gone several years now escaping the mailing lists of dozens of useless catalogs and pamphlets. When you give your address out for anything, ask yourself if it will result in junk mail. Your guy will have a small panic attack if the usually clear doorstep is suddenly trashed with coupon booklets and Indian food menus.
DON'T take things for granted
Your guy worked hard to be able to afford his place and all the stuff in it so treat them with care as if they were your own. Be respectful of the things he's willing to share with you. Clean up after yourself. If you break something, offer to have it repaired or replaced. It may be his place, but now it will be a "home" to both of you.
